Hi Experts
i have two data servers one for source and one for target.each data server i have 2 physical schemas each.lets assume i have 4 physical schemas and 4 logical schemas and all linked to a development context.now if i want create testing context what are the setting i needs to do.how many data server and how many physical schemas and how many logical schemas.i have confusion over switching context

Hi Sree,
For this architecture, you need to define new data server and physical schema pertaining to Test env and can re use the same logical schema as dev env used.
Only you need to tag those logical schema with Test context and new physical schema.
Let me take an example:
Development:
Data Server Dev holds connection info of target schema - let me name as TGT_DEV.
Physical Schema has been defined for that.(SCHEMA1.TGT_DEV)
Log_TGT tags CONTEXT DEV with SCHEMA1.TGT_DEV
Testing:
Data Server Dev holds connection info of target schema - let me name as TGT_TEST.
Physical Schema has been defined for that.(SCHEMA1.TGT_TEST)
Log_TGT tags CONTEXT TEST with SCHEMA1.TGT_TEST
Makes sense?

I'm following this
guide I'm getting an error when running the below command:
Set-VMNetworkAdapterVlan -vmname PurpleVM1 -Isolated -PrimaryVlanId 2 –SecondaryVlanId 4
Generates the following error:
Set-VMNetworkAdapterVlan : The operation failed.
Failed while applying switch port settings 'Ethernet Switch Port VLAN Settings' on switch 'New Virtual Switch': One or
more arguments are invalid (0x80070057).
A parameter that is not valid was passed to the operation.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

It seems that there is a configuration conflict on the virtual switch port .
Also I tested the command on my lab , it works .
For troubleshooting please create a new virtual switch then try to configure again .

what about the new iMac?
I use mic only when working in Sony Vegas and other Sony programs. I'd like to know if I can use proessional Mic with the new iMac and with the old Macbook Pro, probably by connecting it through audio-in port, maybe there is a way to transform it through the settings on the Mac into Mic-in?
If not, then my question is can I otherways use a professional Mic staying in Windows through Bootcamp on a Mac? And the most important - the new iMac, cause that happens to be the only question that stands before me and buying the new iMac.
Maybe I'm a little bit lame in all this stuff, because I'm used to use Windows-based computers to work with audio, but I didnt really understand what all that preamp and Line ment. Adjusting the date or time didn't do anything for me either. I'm guessing my two options are to either do the full restore from scratch and not apply any backup ... Or possibly wait for an iOS update that might resolve this issue.
I'm not that much of an avid twitter user that I need it implemented natively in all my devices - so for now I'll probably value all my game save data, internal settings in apps e.t.c. over that functionality (or over the amount of work it would be to get me back to where I am now after a full wipe). Unable to switch EQ settings through Cons

I recently purchased an X-fi extreme music to use with my 5. logitech speakers. It seems I can't switch the EQ settings at all without the card making loud cracking and popping noises that drown everything else out. Turning my speakers on and off doesn't fix the problem, and the only thing that fixes it is turning my settings to default.
Also, when I do the channel/noise tests, the voice only comes out of the front left and right speakers, but not the center or rear speakers. When hooking up my speakers to the card, the orange connector for the center speaker won't go in all the way without some force, but it seems to work alright.
If anyone has a resolution to this, I would appreciate the help.

Yes, all my speaker connections are correct, I've gone and defaulted my settings while doing the test, I just cannot use the creative equalizer without it giving me immense amounts of noise, and my speaker tests don't seem to work correctly.

T61 not automatically switching power settings

I have a T61 running Windows XP SP3 with Power Manager version 1.51a.
In my power schemes, I have set up different display brightness levels for BatterySettings and AC Settings. However, when I unplug my AC adapter, I do not see the brightness dim at all.
If, after unplugging or plugging in, I re-select my Power Scheme and Apply, the brightness is correctly adjusted.
The Thinkpad PM Service is started, as is the Power Manager DBC Service.
I think I am missing something farily simple that is not causing the power manager service to detect and switch modes.

Premiere Pro CS6 switching sequence settings from previously edited video clips

When importing my video clips into Premiere Pro, which are currently set at 1920 x 1080 both from the video clip and sequence settings, it switches to 720 x 480 (says file has mismatch - keep or change settings, I've done both results the same) when I export and when I put clip on timeline it switches it to 1440 x 1020. The video clips were done on a earlier version of Premiere Pro at another facility, where we put the audio and video together to make a complete video clip We shot the footage using a Canon DSLR at 24 ups and are MOV files, done on a Mac
If anyone else has had this problem and found a solution, plese pass on.

Take your imported footage and create the sequence by dropping one of the video files on to the "New Item" button.
If your footage is actually showing in the project panel as 1920X1080, the sequence that will be created will match that. Guaranteed.

For future reference, you might wish to keep in mind that the rotation lock control and system sound control are really confusing. Originally, the side switch was used for rotation lock control (and a soft switch for system sounds) but IOS-3 changed the switch so that it controlled system sounds in order to keep consistency among IOS devices (a soft switch controlled rotation lock). Then, for IOS-4, Apple made a serious mistake in attempting to pacify some whiners that actually claimed that they turned auto-rotate on and off fifty times/day and consequently the side switch is mandatory. The result is real disaster.
The following is a C&P from a post made by Demo. It's a better explanation that I can come up with.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Does iPhone have a quick easy way to switch sounds settings like Blackberry?

One thing I love about Blackberry is that you can designate a whole bunch of different configurations for your sound/alert settings, and you can very easily switch from one to another right on the homescreen. I find this very necessary since I like to have most sounds on much of the time, but want to easily switch to only vibration or only LED alerts or even no alert when I am in certain quiet places or at work.
Another very important use of this feature for me is that when I go to bed I can easily switch to a setting where all alerts are turned off, but the alarm will still function and wake me up in the morning.
Does iPhone have any features that can make it work in a similar way to this? Especially turning off alerts while keeping the alarm functioning? It seems all smartphones should have an easy and quickly accessable way of switching between sound/alert configurations.

The iPhone is what it is, and has its own set of features, of which you appear to have no clue. At least i linked you the User Guide so you could educate yourself. Did you really think iPhones have a secret BB emulation mode?

How to use Environment variables in Context Settings

I need to set some Preferences using a Context, and in the value of the preference I need to use a path which may change depending on the OS.
I need to use environment variables or java variables to create the relative path for the value.
Is possible to access env variables from a Context Setting?
Just to give an example, I'm trying to set the M2_REPO variable in the classpath settings in the preferences menu.
to user.home + /.m2/repository

Matching router & switch L2 settings

I need to connect a C3825 router who's config. I can't change who's L2 config is,
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
duplex full
speed 100
media-type rj45
negotiation auto
to a switch model WS-C3560E-48TD-S.
Is this the correct config. for this switch port,
int gi 0/1
switchport access vlan 25
switchport mode access
switchport nonegotiate (No DTP frames being sent ie. no trunking negotiation done)

Why does the router fix the duplex and speed & still have "negotiation auto" - it seems contradictory.

In another context, in the case of the 7200 VXR with NPE G1 (although i'll double check this for the 3800 series), the auto-negotiation option (via the "negotiation auto" command) is only effective when using the GBIC media, it is used to enable the IEEE 802.1z Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps) auto-negotiation protocol, thus the auto-negotiation feature is not supported when using the rj-45 media type and will be ignored if enabled.
[edit] After double checking, with the 2800 and the 3800 series, the "negotiation auto" is actually different than the G1, and more over it is actually totally removed in newer IOS, i am running 12.4(3g) on a 2821 router and the command is decommissioned, accordingly i advice you to do an IOS upgrade, the main problem here is according to Cisco on the IOS you are operating there are no standards defined for 1000BASE-T (RJ-45) operation without auto-negotiation.
[edit] Another thing that seems to confuse you, the DTP on the switch side, routers doesn't support DTP, thus the DTP configuration has no significance when connecting a switch to a router, in case you needed to configure a switchport connected to a router as a trunk port, you can't use DTP and you have to configure it manually as a trunk.

Giga Designs Dip Switch Voltage Settings

Hi,
I have a Giga Designs 1.8 Ghz dual processor. My particular model has 6 dip switches for setting voltage. Does anyone here have a chart, or guide for setting those switches to set voltage. I found a guide online [here|http://www.macgurus.com/forums/showpost.php?p=117337&postcount=14] for the 5 switch models that Giga made, but nothing for 6.

.....Well now, this is very interesting and now a bit confusing. I did a quick online search for a Giga Designs installation guide and could not find one. But I do have the hard copy installation guide that came with the processor.
The link you provide clearly shows the 6 switches and a six switch guide. My hard copy chart shows a five switch guide for setting processor speed(it says processor speed), making our guides different. I also have a copy of the installation guide on the CD that came with the processor and it is the same as the hard copy version. My guide also warns to not adjust the voltage jumpers labeled J6 thru J10; that would be five switches. I checked my processor and neither set of the jumper switches are labeled J6 thru J10. I see a J22, but that is it. The model number in your link is 7A-1800UPG, and mine is P7AD-1800U. Are the 5 dip switches on the right side in the photograph the voltage switches(J6 thru J10)? Well, I adjusted those 5 dip switches on the right side of the processor because my installation guide shows settings for 5 switches. Naturally, I assumed the six dip switches on the left side of the processor were the voltage switches that the installation guide warns to not adjust. Can you see why the confusion?
Finally, I compared the 6 dip switch setting on my processor to the 6 switch guide in your link for 1.8 Ghz at 100 Mhz system Bus and they are identical. So, I feel a little relieved, though concerned that the voltage setting on my processor is now maladjusted.
Which is which, what is what? Are the 6 switches on the left for processor speed? Or, are the 5 switches on the right for processor speed? What is the difference between model 7A-1800UPG and P7AD-1800U?
Why would Giga supply a 5 switch guide for processor speed? Did Giga make a mistake in the installation guide they sent me?
