Switching from sprint droid to iphone4:is there an APP FOR THAT??? lol

i was wondering how easiest way i can transfer contacts from droid to iphone.. i had a droid thru sprint and upgraded to iphone4.. droid is not activated, iphone is.. which would be better: sync info on droid (its not activated, can i connect to wifi tho, instead of mobile network and sync to google? ) then open google somehow (how??) on iphone 4 and sync?? or connect droid to usb and laptop and somehow transfer to iphone4 as a different folder or drive? i don't use outlook or anything, can i just use windows explorer and drag and drop or something? or is there maybe a specific app that takes care of this?? even how to transfer all info from droid onto SD card and transfer THAT to iphone??? trying to figure out easiest way to transfer my boyfriend's stuff.also, what best ringtone app for iphone..thanks!! (former ipod user turned droid user turned back to iphone user lol)

The app called "Air Sharing" allows you to do that. Connect to a wifi network, run the program and you can mount your iphone as a drive using Finder. Upload all the PDFs you like, and you can open them from within the Air Sharing app. Also, you can view most image files, most office files, etc.

If you're just reading them from email attachments, you can just open it to "view" the document.
However, if you wish to do editing and work, you'll need an application. I use Documents to Go, but there are other versions that people are happy with - do a search in the App store for "office suite" or "word processing".
The next challenge is getting docs back and forth. Doc2Go and others have their own ways to physically sync docs when connected to a computer; you can also email changed/revised/new documents from the iPad to yourself. However, I use a "cloud service" called DropBox that stores docs in the cloud (so I can get to them anywhere) - I paid for the Premium version of Docs2Go to allow that kind of syncing.

Well, since you've had the same problem, with three different phones, that all use different size sim cards, it seems pretty obvious the problem is with your carrier/coverage & nothing to do with your phone or sim card.

No, I mean that all of the apps that will work on an iPad are in the App Store. If there is one that will allow you to use Turbo C, you'd find it there. "Turbo C" seems to be the most obvious search term. You might also do a Google search using both "turbo C" and "iPad" as terms.

How can I download TV programmes from the BBC iplayer. Is there an app for ipad that does this?

I have an ipad 2. I have BBC iplayer. The programme stops and starts as the broadband cannot cope with the streming. The solution is to download the programme from the BBC iplayer and into the ipad 2 for viewing later without all that mucking about with the streaming bit.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to download a programme from the BBC iplayer into an ipad 2? If there is an application that does this what is it?

There is no iPad app to do this - the BBC's television license agreement wouldn't allow it.
There are desktop programs which will download programmes from BBC iPlayer which you can then sync to the iPad via iTunes, but technically they also operate against the terms of the iPlayer license. Google will help you find them.

Is There An App For That?

Just received my new iPhone 4S Friday. This is my first iPhone. I've been a Verizon customer for many years (GTE MobleNet) and this is the first time I been able to get an iPhone. Two quick app questions. I had the first Motorola Droid and installed an app that was a voice caller ID. It worked very simply once it was installed it just worked. When a call came in, it would speak the phone number or name, if the name was in my contacts. I've search in the App store and don't find anything like this. I'm somewhat surprised that a developer has not come with something simple like the Android app. Any suggestions? Next, is there any way to get "live" wallpapers? Not important, but I rather liked them. As an aside, all in all I do like the iPhone better than the Droid. As with almost all Apple products it looks and feels like a work of art. The iPhone 4 and the S is a quality built product.

I need to record my iPhone 3GS screen while operating an application, so that I can demonstrate how to use it. I am having trouble finding an application that does this.
There may be an app that I'm not aware of, but the only way I know to do this is to download an application for Mac or PC that lets you display your iPhone's screen using AirPlay, and then recording the screen of the computer.

The first is the ability to view the next several calendar items I have on the home screen instead of touching the calendar to see these events. Scheduling songs. Is there an app for that?

I work at a high school, and we would like to be able to play music over the PA system between class periods instead of using the usual bell system. Ideally, we would like to do this by hooking up an iPod Touch to the PA system and have an app play specific songs at specific times throughout the day. Is there a way to do this? The songs would also have to automatically cut off when the new class period begins. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe. Try looking at Alarm Clock apps. Most allow scheduling a song to play at specific times.
