When changing headphones(headset) to 5. in volume panel, my rear speakers and middle one
won't play instead I'm hearing the middle rear left? and rear right in headphones...
In order to restore the 5.
I need to run diagnostic tool where I need to chose the "restore to default" option?
I need to do this every time...
headset is connected to the xfi front panel, 5. speakers are connected to the xfi card .

Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

It get's annoying as I play BF242 and then try to listen to some music ot watch an movie in 5. ...
it takes an minute or so to do this but I would preffer not to have to....
I'm an xfi noob so there may be an setting that is causing this... does anyone knows how to change this?
edit: btw. the headphones(headset actually) are connected to the panel...

Problem with mode switching/Volume Panel in multi-user environment?

As above - using Windows 7 64-bit with an X-Fi Titanium Fatalty card.
All works well as long as I'm the only person logged in, but if my wife logs into the computer (using Windows 7's built-in multi-user mode...'fast user switching', which is enabled by default), and then I log back in...well, the volume panel app doesn't seem to work. In fact, even using the control panel app, I can't regain control of the soundcard enough to switch modes.
Logging her off doesn't resolve the issue, so it seems like something about her logging on (another user logging in, two volpanlu.exe running, something) is causing my instance to go haywire. [FWIW, I'm a 'standard' user on the PC, and her login is a 'limited' user]
Note that 'killing' the task volpanlu.exe in task managed, then going to the Windows services control panel and stopping and re-starting the 'Windows Audio' service, and finally re-launching volpanlu.exe from the start menu DOES always work to resolve the problem (regardless of if she's logged in or not...this always fixes it).
Still, that's a kinda annoyingly large set of steps to always have to go through whenever I want to change audio mode after she's logged in.
Is there any way to fix this? Any setting I could be missing to optimize the X-Fi control panel for multi-user environments? Any of the X-Fi mod dri've packs handle fast user switching better? Any other ideas?

GA little bit more tinkering around this, and I have some more information:
- Once I "seize control" (the kill of volpanlu, restart 'Windows Audio' service, re-launch volpanlu), if my wife logs back in, now *she* can't change the audio mode

Volume Panel App. problem on XtremeMusic

I am using the pci xtreme music with the latest driver.
I am having problem with the creative volume panel application.
8 out 0, I got an error of "The current slected audio device i snot supported by the application. Do you want to select another audio device now?".
The other 2, it works fine.

X-Fi xgamer fatality pro volume panel command switch?

Looking at msconfig, I noticed that Volume panel starts with an /r switch. Something like this: [color="#ff0000"]C:\Program Files\Creative\Sound Blaster X-Fi\Volume Panel\volpanlu.exe /r.
Now can someone tell me are there any more switches, and what they stand for?
This is a bit weird because in Entertainment mode, when I double click on systray icon Mixer opens instead of Full Entertainment list to choose from CMSS, Mixer, Crystalaizer....etc. So when Mixer opens, I have to click on main display tohave all of the options
I wish that "Main Display" opens instead of Mixer.

Ios7 Update Problems on iPad 3 - My iPad is not going to black screen after not being touched. Also, am I crazy; I can't find timing adjustment to go to black. Finally, iPad slow to switch between some catgagories in control panel

O.K. I found 3 issues on my iPad 3 after ios update:
1. iPad does not go to black after non-use
2. iPad is slow to switch between some catagories in control panel
3. Speaking of control panel; have I lost my mind? I can't find time adjustment responsible for iPad going to black.

Outside of the contact number for that you've already used I don't know another way of direct contact. Here are some things that they may or may not of had you try that might help you. If you will go to the settings app and pick general on the right-hand side you will see accessibility. Within that you can adjust a text size make the text bowl you can also increase the contrast. You can also adjust the brightness and control panel.
As for Siri again in the settings app under general you should see Siri on the right-hand side with the switch to turn it on. If that is turned on and you're still having issues
Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

will not longer log you into a page where you can report a problem... I'll just do it here in the forums. (And probably get flamed... but meh.)
PROBLEM:
The VOLUME PANEL... when you single left click on it opens up a windows where you can select some programs as well as change the volume or select mixer or mode switcher etc.
If you have that open (left click on notification icon one time) then use a volume mute button on your keyboard... the icon in the notification are will correctly show MUTE or UNMUTE but the checkbox in the open window will NOT update. (If you let it close and re-open it... it will be correct..)
These should be "linked".
I know... not a MAJOR life threatening bug... but annoying nevertheless.
NOTE: If you change the VOLUME using volume up/down keys on the keyboard the volume knob on that window WILL correctly go up and down... showing that they are correctly "linked".
ALSO A SUGGESTION: Make the notification icon dynamic so that the little blue dot on it actually SHOWS where the volume is at. (That would be nice.)

There is probably a red light on inside your headphone port, indicating that the analog/digital switch in there is stuck in the digital position. Insert a headphone plug and wigle it around, especially in the horizontal plane, as you insert and remove it several times. This will usually unstick the switch and restore normal operation. If it doesn't, the machine will need to be repaired.
This has been a fairly common problem, but in most cases it is easily cured as described above.

Volume Panel Missing in System Bar

I had dl and installed the following driver/application on my fresh installed Windows XP and notice that the volume panel is missing from the system bar.
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series driver 2.8.003
Creative Console Launcher 2.6.09
Had search thru the forum and volpanel.exe in not included in the above mentioned installation package. Please advise a solution. Thank!

& I had solved the problem by installing Creative Console Launcher 2.60.29 and follow by Creative Console Launcher 2.6.09
It seem like the volume panel is not included in the latest installation package.

Enable Creative Volume Panel in System T

Hello all,?Advanced computer/server engineer here, but I can't seem to overcome the simple task of getting the system tray icon for creative up and running...never had this problem before but for some reason I can't figure it out. During the installation, did you do a custom install and check the box to add the ?"Creative Volume Panel" app in the setup? If not add the app in the Control Panel/Add and Remove/Sound Blaster X-Fi , Add the "Creative Volume Panel" app there. Or maybe do a repair of the Sound Blaster X-Fi installation, this sometimes fixes the problem.

Its a problem with microsofts upnp were it fubars your?start up?icons if ?you show internet devices such as routers.
There is an easy fix if it is that though, go to control panel>network connections and right click and choose hide your pnp device, it will be a router (or other device) that looks like a telly.
If that doesnt work you could un-install upnp, but i would rather not tell you how to do that as your device might be dependant on it.

Have you checked your Control Panel to make sure you don't have the flashlight turned on?
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and make sure the flashlight icon (bottom left-hand corner) is not white. If it is, tap on it to turn it off.

Another volume control problem after installing new software

I'm having a different volume control problem than the previous poster.
When I turn my ipod touch on, the volume control stays on the screen. I can't do anything to get rid of it. When I go into settings/sounds, the control goes away on the screen, but it will not let me turn the volume up. When I try to listen to music through my headphones, I can turn the volume up but then it automatically turns itself down. The same thing happens when I try to turn the volume up from the side control. It worked fine this morning before I installed the new software and now it's acting buggy. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Headphone and Internal Speaker Volume Levels

I saw a topic about this earlier, but it has become locked, so I thought I would post another to see if anyone has any information about it. Until recently, I have been able to set my headphone volume and internal speaker volume at different levels. In other words, I can set the speakers to a certain volume, plug in my headphones, set the headphones to a different volume, then unplug the headphones and the volume changes back to what it was before I plugged in the headphones. I don't know exactly when it started happening, but I can no longer set these at two separate levels. I have seen that other people are having this problem, so I know it isn't just something stupid that i am doing. Anyone know why this is happening, or what I can do about it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Assuming that you're not listening to songs that have been imported at very low level, the next thing to do is a full Restore. A Restore will remove everything form your iPod, reset it and then put back onto the iPod only what is in your iTunes library. So if you have items that are not in your library (and therfore on the computer) you need to sort that out first.
I believe it will also reset your user data in any Apps you use. There is a backup method for this, but I'm not sure how it works as I've never tried it.
If that doesn't work, there must be a hardware issue, which means booking it in for service.
