Switching Multiple Spaces Simultaneously

Hello,
I am looking for a way to switch multiple spaces simultaneously (preferably with a gesture) with the new Mavericks space per monitor setup. I know I can revert back to the previous way spaces worked, but would rather find a way to do a hybrid of the two.
Most of the time being able to switch each monitor individually is fine. In fact it might be preferable, but if I have any of my multiple monitor programs (After Effects, Premier, Lightroom, etc.) open, this behavior becomes cumbersome, and it would be great if I could switch all three of my monitors at once without having to change the setting log out and then back in.
Anyone know of an app that would allow for setting one gesture to switch the space of the curent monitor and a seperate one to switch all of the spaces?

Adobe Acrobat pro 9.4.6 crashes when opening multiple files simultaneously.

We have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 which has been updated to version 9.4.6. we had this problem when the 9.4.5 update was applied also. It is now crashing when we try to open multiple files simultaneously.
Yesterday, I narrowed down the problem to 6 plugins:
IA32
ADBC
eBook
EScript
HLS
PPKLite
SaveAsRTS
However, we discovered that that Comments and markup tool bars weren't loading. So I did a repair install on it.
Now those plugins from yesterday work and Acroform.api is causing it to crash when opening multiple files.
I did try other suggestion that involved using Icacls/cacls on dll files to no avail.
It is running on XP SP3 fully updated with plenty of RAM and HDD space.
Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling?

I am not sure what's causing this problem on your machine because everything's working fine for me.
What is the version of Acroform.api on your machine now.
Do a Repair after deleting this file and see if it works.
Enable Windows MSI logging (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314852) before you do a repair, upload that log to some file sharing server, and paste its link here.

OpenGL vs "Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously"

My first post on these forums (Like to learn on my own ). This question(s) accually has to do more with RAM and rendering in general.
1.) Is OpenGL rendering faster (With a GTX 460) or is Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously faster (Athlon II x3 445)? I read on one of the FAQ that you can only use one or the other.
2.) After Effects will stop rendering with at least 10-20% RAM still left over and even call it complete. Why is this? I have tried every setting in the book and I can't get it to use any more RAM. Also in the Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously section I can't get the RAM avalaible for AE over 2.5GB.
3.) What is the difference between the space bar and the 0 key? As they both seem to do the same thing, and niether get very far into the movie before stopping.
My System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
AMD Athlon II x3 445 3.1Ghz
GTX 460 OC'ed
4GB 1600 RAM
Small Boot Drive SSD
This movie is really large (3000x2200ish), but should be able to render further along than it is (Less than 4 sec and 25% left over RAM)...

They accelerate entirely different things. Don't use OpenGL for rendering for final export. I leave my preview mode set to OpenGL - Interactive, and that's it.

You have 4GB of RAM? Your OS and other software need RAM, too. After Effects using 2.5GB out of 4GB is about right.

The 0 key on the numeric keypad starts a RAM preview.

Does not automatically switch to space when app is selected

In reality this is not a new issue been pretty much always this way

They article OS X Yosemite: Work in multiple spaces say that once i configure mission control when I select an App I will be automatically switched to the space/desktop (They can't seem to keep their terminology consistent ) which i have assigned that app to (yes the options are set for that app to open in specified desktop and monitor) Ok when I select that or any assigned app The app comes up in the upper tool bar but the desktop does not change . I must manually switch the desktop

It seems that Outlook 2011 Reminders switch the active screen (when using multiple spaces in OSX which I always do) when they pop. This seems to happen whether I have the reminders set to appear on all desktops or just the first desktop. This is hugely annoying when I am in a fullscreen app (e.g. parallels) and suddenly I'm warped over to the first screen again. Just for clarification purposes I'm talking about spaces functionality in OSX, not multiple monitors. This feature...

Accommodation of multiple space characters without using nbsp - request

I have dot matrix printer and i want to generate a report using character position and line position.
For example a line can accommodate 80 chacters and in a page generally accoomdates 72 lines.
I need to display column value padded with space characters and concatenate with other column and can generate 80 character data set.
For example name column has varchar2(50) and date_of_birth as date and pay number(10,2)
I just concatenated as rpad(name,50,' ')||to_char(date_of_birth,'dd-mm-yyyy')||lpad(pay,20,' ') so that all the 80 characters are filled with some characters.
'dr.s.raghu 01-01-2001 123.45' In between quotes 80 characters are placed including space characters. But while using report and print multiple spaces are getting shrinked as single space character and displays as 'dr.s.raghu 01-01-2001 123.45' If i use nbsp as padded characters, the lettes are getting displayed as nbsp but while on page printing it displayed as space characters.
I want to accommodate multiple characters of space characters in screen display and as well as in printer image. How to achieve it?

have seen the example you have shown. I am confident that can be achieved by defining column width and height and example used only three columns. Whereas now i edited my requirement with code tags. Within the column value itself i need multiple spaces between word. Why even in this forum message box unless i use code tag, i am unable to display multiple space characters between any two words. Infact, i am very happy someone also has having the sampe problem and definitely solution will be achieved through some gurus.

Start multiple domains simultaneously on 1 Weblogic server installation?

Is it okay to start and run multiple domains simultaneously. Better yet, when having multiple domains on 1 WLS server, should each domain have a different port number in order to be run simultaneously?
Here's my scenario - I installed Oracle Business Intellgence, which by default installs and configures WLS server for certain Business Intelligence applications (BI Publisher). This instance was running fine and good and still is.
Then I had another application, Oracle Data Integrator, which has a Console piece that requires a domain on WLS. So instead of modifying the existing domain for Oracle Business Intelligence, I created a new domain via the Configuration Wizard and selected those components for Oracle Data Integrator.
therefore current domains:
...\domains\bifoundation_domain --> installed automatically as part of Oracle Business Intelligence
...\domains\odi11g --> I created this domain after I
Now I have 2 domains under 1 WLS Server (windows 7 64bit), but if I startWeblogic.cmd for the bifoundation_domain, and I startWeblogic.cmd for the odi11g...then only the components for the bifoundation_domain become available via the WLS Console.
Questions:
- Can I run both domains simultaneously?
- Should I have modified the bifoundation_domain to include Oracle Data Integrator component; therefore only having 1 domain but having everything run under that domain?
- Does the Port for each domain matter? both bifounddation_domain and odi11g domain use ports 7001
Are there any other considerations? Thanks much.

Hi,
It is perfectly OK to run multiple domains on a single Weblogic server installation. Only constraint would be you have enough capacity available on your server to start multiple instances.
Things to note is, if your domain1 is running on listen address : port { localhost : 7001 } then your other domain should be configured on a different port say {localhost : 8001 }. If you want both domain to run on same port then go for virtual IP's to be plumbed on your physical network interface and configure as,
domain1 - { ip1 : 7001 }
domain2 - { ip2 : 7001 }
this way you will can access both domain admin console on same port.
Remember, Weblogic resources cannot be shared between domain, however a single nodemanager will be enough to monitor both the domains.

It's not completely obvious. What you have to do in Spaces is to position your cursor to the upper right of the screen, after which faint + (plus) sign appears in that area. Click that, upon which another Desktop will appear.
The + may be difficult or impossible to see with some desktop backgrounds (black, for instance):

Looking for a way to replace multiple space characters in a row with a single space. For example, the text "abc abc" should look like "abc abc". I tried toying with replace, but it only works for the case of 2 spaces. Need a solution for the cases where there could be 2 or more spaces.

If you had to do this without regular expressions, you could use:
SELECT REPLACE ( REPLACE ( REPLACE (str, ' ', '~ ')
                 , ' ~'
          , '~ '
          )     AS new_str
FROM    table_x;assuming there is some sub-string (I used '~' above) that never occurs right next to a space.
However, unless you're uisng Oracle 9 (or earlier, which you're not doing) you don't have to do this without regular expressions. As you can see, the way Solomon showed is much simpler.

This site is doing exactly what you want the function to do: it replaces multiple consecutive spaces with a single space. As a result, it's hard to see what you mean.

How do I send mail to multiple groups simultaneously in Mavericks?

Recently updated to Mavericks, and I used to be able to just add a contact group to the BCC field. I can still add a contact group to the BCC field, as I have searched up till this point, but my issue is adding multiple groups into these fields. I thought a solution might be to make one huge group, but I use different groups for different things constantly, and combine and alter them continuously.
How on earth is it that I can no longer email multiple groups simultaneously? There has to be something I'm missing!!

I did this and the recipient gets an email From: Me and To: Me.
If you are sending email to multiple recipients by bcc, the recipients should not be able to see the other recipients you are sending the mail to. However, they will see who the email is from which is you!
What is confusing me is how are your recipients getting your email if it's not addressed to them but to yourself?

Getting rid of Multiple Spaces in Code View (after Copying/Pasting)

I'm trying to find a way to get rid of multiple spaces between words in Dreamweaver CS3's code view.
Oftentimes, when I copy/paste text from elsewhere (e-mail, website, etc), the Dreamweaver code shows up with multiple spaces. Normally, that wouldn't be problem -- except that my blog's auto-tag plug-in doesn't detect selected phrases when there are multiple spaces between words, e.g., it'll detect "Swiss Alps" in a post but not "Swiss Alps" (notice the extra space between words in the second phrase).
If at all possible, I'd like to be able to keep Dreamweaver's text formatting option when I copy and paste, as that means I don't need to manually put words in bold/italics.So, is there a way to keep that option while getting rid of all the extra spacing between words?
By the way, I'm familiar with Wordpress CSS, but not with Dreamweaver CSS. Not sure if there's any difference.

I make it a point to never paste formatted text into HTML pages. Formatted text from MS Office usually contains a variety of junk you don't want and I don't have that much faith in MS Word code removal tools.
Bold and Italics from Word or Outlook should be changed to current HTML tags of <strong> for bold and <em> or emphasis for italics anyway. Also see Logical Tags here:

Is it possible to copy the same database multiple times simultaneously?

This is the setup of my environment.
I have a 'master' database that contains the full schema plus some pre-populated data such as default settings. When database schema changes are made, they get made to the master database. When a new customer signs up for the service, I make a copy of this
master database (using SMO) that will now be the database containing all of the customer's information. The database is rather large, and the copy operation can take a couple minutes.
Everything works fine as expected, unless I try to provision two new customers at the same time. It appears that Azure only allows for one DB copy operation at a time. Is there a way to allow for copying the same database multiple times simultaneously?
Thanks for you input. I understand that this is likely not the optimal setup, and that there is many better ways of doing this, but I am somewhat heavily invested in the current process and I would like to find out how to make it work if I can.

How to apply Time Remap to multiple clips simultaneously

Quite often after trimming many different clips for a wedding video I will then want the majority of them slowed down to a 50% speed. I know how to apply the Time Remap Speed % change in the Motion Tab, but have yet to figure out how to make the change to multiple clips simultaneously.

You can apply a speed change from one clip to multiple clips by copying the first one, then pasting attributes (option + V, then select speed from the list) onto as many clips as you have selected.
Just be aware that this will ripple your timeline by extending all of your clips. FCP keeps the original out point of the source clip, not the out point of each cut on the T/L.
