Switching pages

Hi,
I'm just wondering if there is a shortcut key for switching between different safari windows rather than having to minimise the one in front in order to get into the one behind it. I know about the tab windows (i think thats what its called). But i sometimes open totally new windows using the apple key + N and so i'd like to flick between them easily.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Simon.

Hi si5584,
Here is a web link for Safari sort cuts, it's also in the Safari menu.
Safari Short Cuts
** To open a new tap just hit command-T a blank tap will open. You can open Bookmarks from the Bookmarks menu bar ore open any web page you like.
Good luck ...

  • Switching pages from flash-gui

    I tried to switch to a page using a flash-button inside an rma which functions as a gui.
    To do so I use an external interface call:
    var jsCaller:Object = ExternalInterface.call("eval","this.pageNum = 1;");
    I use eval frequently to call various methods within my document-script and so far it has never failed me. However, in this case, when I push the button, acrobat crashes.
    It seems to switch to the page (at least the scrollbar indicates that) but before anything from that page is actually shown, acrobat crashes. The version I use is Acrobat 9 Pro Extended (version 9.1.0). I tested this in reader 9.4 and found the same behaviour.

    Yes it does, and it will. The problem is that by switching pages the Flash annotation is disabled, but both Flash and Acrobat expect the externalInterface function to have a return value. As the Flash Player instance is killed halfway through the handshake, it takes Acrobat down with it. Probably should've fixed it, but it's not a major priority, as;
    (1) hardly anyone uses it, and if they do they find out very quickly they can't
    (2) it crashes in a safe-ish way, so there's no exploitability in the bug
    One way around it is to call a doc-level function from AS which itself fires off a short delayed function call to set the pageNum value, so you can return the handshake to Flash *before* the page changes and the link gets severed. If your SWF is running in a pop-up window and set to manually disable, then it'll be fine.

  • In some computers I cannot find "Switch Page Direction" on the shortcut Menu or "View" Menu. Is there any setting related to this subject?

    Hi
    I have a problem with my firefox browser. please Help me!
    In some computers I cannot find "Switch Page Direction" on the shortcut Menu or "View" Menu. Is there any setting related to this subject?
    thanks

    In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
    # In the [[Location bar autocomplete|Location bar]], type '''about:config''' and press '''Enter'''. The about:config "''This might void your warranty!''" warning page may appear.
    # Click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' to continue to the about:config page.
    # Look for '''bidi.browser.ui''', change its value to '''true''', restart Firefox, then right click to see the '''Switch Page Direction'''

    Once again an extremely simple task made incredibly complicated. So this is a known bug noone cared to fix? Not quite what I would expect considering the retail-prize of Acrobat Pro Extended.At least I know what's going on now.
    So thanx anyway.
    Is there a chance this is at least fixed in Acrobat X?
    BTW: A separate forum on Acrobat Flash would probably be a good idea (just like there is one for 3D-Features). I'm always unsure where to post such problems specifically involving flash in the acrobat context. As the documentation on this subject is very limited imho, there's probably loads of problems to discuss.

  • Tabnavigator validates when switching pages??

    I would like to build a cfform with a tabnavigator and two pages. Each page contains fields with some validation rules. I find that when the user switches pages, any integer, range, or other numeric validation rules are fired immediately. Simple isrequired style rules are not.
    It is most annoying, since it looks to the user like there are errors before he has even had a chance to enter data.
    <cfform name="myform" height="400" width="400" format="Flash" timeout="600">
    <cfformgroup type="tabnavigator" id="tabBar">
      <cfformgroup type="page" label="Page 1">
       <cfinput type="text" name="Name" label="Name"
        required="Yes" message="Please enter a name.">
      </cfformgroup>
      <cfformgroup type="page" label="Page 2">
       <cfinput type="text" name="age" label="Age" value="0"
        validate="range" range="1,1000000" message="This value must be greater than 0.">
      </cfformgroup>
    </cfformgroup>
    </cfform>

    Chris,
    The DB is Oracle 10g, OS is Windows 2003 Server, The Web Server is in the same machine. The server is Dell 1420 SC Xeon @ 2.8GHx, 512MB RAM. It has not much traffic since we are on the development phase, so i don't think it is a capacity problem.
    The problem happens when connecting from the internet as well as from the intranet.
    I have not seen the Apache access logs, I will see them and update the thread.
    Thanks.
    Francisco.

  • When working in a document how do I switch pages around?

    Hi,
    I am working on a document and want to switch pages around  how do I do that?
    Thanks

    Debbie ~ Perhaps the reason you haven't received a reply to your question after several days is that you haven't said which application you're using for your document. ...TextEdit? ...Pages from iWork?

  • Browser portlet losing navigation context when switching pages

    Hi,
    I have a desktop with 2 pages, each holding a URL/Browser Portlet. Each time, I switch pages (running locally), the entire porlet reloads the url content. The portal doesn't remember where I browsed when I switch pages.
    For example, if I browse from a.jsp to b.jsp in page1/portlet1 then switch to page 2 and switch back again to page 1, page a.jsp loads into portlet1 as though i was browsing there for the first time. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Or a backing file, or is it because i'm only using a file based verion for my initial development? Or, does switching pages always force a reload?

    inline refresh modifies javascript, not flex. Maybe try an iframe?

  • Oracle Discoverer very slow when switching page items

    Hi guys,
    I'm working on a report(Discoverer Plus) which returns some product information. Parameters are a product id or a product name.
    The report has three page items.(typically these would have between 3 and 10 entries in each).
    If I run the report for our busiest product id the report completes in about 5secs.
    If I then chose something from the page item the report can then take up to 20mins to complete, doesn't seem to matter what I pick.
    I notice that if I instead refresh the report and enter a product id with little data, change the page items there and then refresh and enter the the product id of our busiest product that the report will complete in about 5secss, returning the same data as the report that will take 20 mins.
    I am new to Discoverer and have discussed this with some colleagues but they are not sure, so I'm left scratching my head.
    So I'd appreciate any insight that peeps might have in to this.
    I would have thought that once I enter a product ID all data is returned from the DB and indexed for page items, I just can't see what Discoverer is doing for 20 odd mins.
    Yours confused!
    David

    Hi Rod,
    I had the Discovery admin check oem and he can see that when the page item is selected that the cpu is busy processing the data for the 15-20 mins, no additional call is made to the database.
    I installed Discovery Desktop today and the same report changes tabs almost instantaneously through it, so I'm left scratching my head.
    I do see occasional warnings about low heap memory on the AS but on Discovery Desktop with even a 15k memory cache the report only took a few seconds to switch pages.
    The admin has advised to raise an SR with Oracle but I'd be interested in any areas to check.

  • Switching pages with tabs

    I am not a quick adopter of new versions, so I have not been
    on DW 8 that
    long, and before that I had MX. Older versions of DW had tabs
    at the
    bottoms of the code/design window that allowed you to switch
    quickly and
    easily between pages you were working on. I am not seeing
    that in DW 8.
    How can I turn that back on? Or is it simply absent?
    Thanks;
    Amy

    Maximize the document window within DW's workspace. The tabs
    will appear at
    the top, not the bottom.

  • How can I switch pages?

    I already returned my Nano (6) same day I received it because I couldn't use the touchscreen at all.  I tried residing and reloading songs, but to no avail.  Support authorized a return at which time they performed diagnostics and found nothing wrong and returned to me very promptly.  Now, my finger inputs work on each screen, but I still can't switch (flip) pages.  I must turn off unit and reset to homepage.  Does anybody have this problem?

    You just gave two versions which one do you want to do this in?
    You can largely forget it in Pages 5.01.
    If you divide your document with Section Breaks in Pages '09, you can simply drag the thumbnails into place.

  • Switching Page Setup window from Metric to Imperial

    Hi,
    Might anyone know how to change the metric measurements (cm) to imperial ones (inch) -seen below the Paper Size dropdown menu- in the Page Setup dialog box of any given program?
    I've tried everything I can think of, including switching keyboard layouts and Time Zone setting to make the computer think I live somewhere other than Canada, but nothing will make a US Letter sized paged show as "8.5 in x 11 in".
    Thanks!
    -Neil
    OS 10.4.3

    Go to International Preferences in System Preferences and switch to the Formats panel. There is a drop down menu at the bottom called "Measurement Units" - that should do it.
    Hope this helps.

  • I need help with a flash nav and switching pages!!!

    is there anyway to point the browser to play a swf file from
    a specific point (labeled frame) in the movie after switching
    (html) pages?
    basically it's a nav bar that needs to be played from the end
    of the movie after the first opening (html)page.
    I know i can do this with frames, but i would love to avoid
    that if possible. and the only other option i know would be to have
    2 swf files. there has to be a "on(load) /gotoandplay() or some
    combination to make this work, it seems to be too close to not be
    possible.
    thanks for all the help.

    SHouldn't be too involved. Just set a variable with JS (or
    whatever
    language you can use, I used JS simply b/c you stated HTML
    pages, not PHP or
    ASP), then in your flash movie, have your first frame do a
    basic if/then or
    do a switch (if it's available in AS).
    if ($var==1){
    gotoAndPlay (1,1);
    elseif ($var--2){
    gotoAndPlay(1,2);
    etc.
    Alternately, you could set a session variable, but you would
    have to have
    dynamic pages to do that.

  • Using parameters in switching pages

    I see the websites passing a single long encoded(?) parameter
    when switching between pages.
    What exactly is this? I am guessing that it is a way of
    passing multiple parameters in a more secure way.
    Also seem sto make life easier for the search engines.
    If this is what is going on, does dw help with this? if not
    how do i do it?

    Hi friends,
    I am new to applets and I am wondering if we can use
    them in jsp pages to display resultsets coming from
    database queries...If all you want to do is display the resultsets, why not just do it on the page using a <table>? It would be faster.
    To display in an applet, you could pass the information to the applet as parameters and format and display in the Applet using a JTable.

  • Impossible to find how to switch pages inside a document ?

    Hi,
    I'm turning crazy !
    I try to find how to switch the order of some pages inside my document like I did many times easily with Pages (iWork 08 & 09).
    Before you just need to click on a page in the sidebar page thumbnails and move it where you want.
    But in Pages for iCloud and the New Pages in Maverick I don't understand how to make this ?
    Can you help me please ?
    Regards

    Hi Jerry,
    Thank you for the comment.
    Yes, I did it.
