Switching regions/countries

I have moved from the US to Canada.  iTunes will not let me change my country/region because of open passes.  I no longer have a US credit card and must change countries to use my Canadian one, but nothing will work.  Help!  I can't spend money because I can't switch countries.

Hi
I understand that you are not able to switch the countries on your iTunes account.
I can certainly realize how discomforting this must be.
Please log in to your iTunes account and try to click on the store credit, later you will see the cash out. If you see that please contact iTunes support they will cash out remaining balance and you may be able to change the countries.

  • HT1918 switch region without entering payment method.

    Hello, how are you doing? I need some help here.
    I had move to melbourne lately, therefore i switch my itunes store region from malaysia to australia. however, i just got to australia not long ago and do not have any australia bank credit card yet. when i am doing the switching, there isnt an none payment option for me. So what should i do? Cheers.

    No. You can however
    Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

  • Region 2 DVDS in North America - switching regions 5 times

    Hi.
    Not sure where exactly to put this question so I'm asking here.
    I have some Region 2 DVDs (THE SAINT monochrome) and when I played them in my Intel iMac to rip for my iPod it asked if I wanted to switch to region 2 - I said yes. It then said you can only do this 5 times. (This was probably 2 years ago so maybe it's different now.) So, if I switched back to region 1, then region 2, then region 1, then the fifth switch would be to region 2.
    Not that I'll ever need to do that but I want to rerip my DVDs into "normal" setting instead of the iPod setting I used a few years ago. So that would be the third switch.
    Anyway, my hypothetical question is - IF you did a clean install of OS X would that now enable you to start this 5 x thing over again? I would assume so as I assume all memory of previous switching would be erased with the install. But, I'm no guru, so I thought I'd ask.
    Thanks.
    Judie

    Ok, I never knew there were "other" things in my computer, I figured everything was Apple.
    I just thought I was so smart thinking that all would start at the beginning if you reinstalled the software. Not that I was intending to. I have two Intel iMacs and have only used the one to switch twice. I just want to rerip my Region 2 DVDs in a better format because I originally ripped them for my iPod and they don't play well on my iPad - they are slow, pixelly and out of sync with the audio. So I'm going to have to switch at least one more time and rip them for Apple TV, which I intend to get soon so I will probably never play the DVDs themselves.
    Thanks, again.

  • I switched regions in iTunes and all of my purchased content is gone. How do I restore it?

    ANy ideas?

    If you are not showing any of your purchased music under that tab you were probably signed in on a different Apple ID account on the computer you synced with (is the the computer you normally sync with) and it has changed the User ID on your phone. Go to Settings > Store, log out whatever account it shows then log back in with your account.
    Are you located in the US?

  • I need to cancel iTunes Match so I can switch country / region

    I have moved from the UK to Australia.  I need to cancel my iTunes Match in order to change country on the iTunes store.  I have 'turned off auto-renew' but this does not cancel my subscription, which is not due to expire for some time.
    I no longer have any UK payment methods, so I cannot purchase anything from iTunes until I switch region, allowing me to switch payment methods.  I cannot do this until iTunes match is cancelled.
    I simply want my iTunes Match cancelled. I don't want to call Apple.  I just want it cancelled.  Why is it so impossibly difficult to do this?

  • Question about changing my region

    I moved to the US a couple weeks sgo from the UK. I didn't feel like creating a new account for the online stores, so I basically logged in with my account that I used in London. Now all the apps and songs I am trying to download are priced in pounds, so I am trying to change region, as one of the guys at the AS told me. However, that does not seem possible, as I still have some store credit balance (0,13 pounds), which, according to my Mac, I need to spend before I am able to switch the countries. How do I spend 0,13 pounds (13 pence)? There doesn't seem to be anything at the stores that costs exactly 13 pence, so I am kind of frustrated.
    Also, my gift cards don't work (bought in the US) for my account.

  • I have a USA DVD which I would like to play on my macbook pro. How can I do this without having to use up options to convert between regions which are limited

    I have a USA DVD which I would like to play on my macbook pro without using up the options to switch regions. Is there a way to do this?
    Also can it be done through a DVD player attachment to an Ipad?

    program called MDRP to rip it......  then use Wondershare to convert it, also Iskysoft video converter is an option.
    You dont have to put it ON the Ipad, once on the Mac, you can Stream it wifi to the Ipad using the $2 program called VLC STREAMER (not VLC, but streamer made by VLC),.... best APP for your Ipad to stream videos from your MAC to your Ipad.

  • Switch statement to java string

    Hello!
    I am programing a form in jsp that will send an e-mail to different people , depending on the selection of a SELECT box.
    I am using a Bean which will take the option chosen in the select and then prepare the message.
    My problem is that the option list has a lot of values and I would like to use the switch statement , but I always receive a compilation error since the switch statement only allows int and I am using a String....
    Should I use a nested if in that case...or there is another solution?
    ================
    Form.html
    Region <SELECT NAME="region">
    <OPTION VALUE="SouthEastEurope">South East Europe</OPTION>
    <OPTION VALUE="Italy">Italy</OPTION>
    <OPTION VALUE="SouthernAfrica">Southern Africa</OPTION>
    <OPTION VALUE="France">France</OPTION>
    <OPTION VALUE="NorthernAfrica">Northern Africa</OPTION>
    <OPTION VALUE="MiddleEast">Middle East</OPTION>
    <OPTION VALUE="Iberia">Iberia</OPTION>
    </SELECT><P>....
    ==============================
    SendMail.java
    switch(region)
                        case SouthEastEurope:
                             toAddress = "[email protected]";
                             break;
                        case Italy:
                             toAddress = "[email protected]";
                             break;
    ........and so on.....
                   }

    How about generating a Map to match the country to an address.
    Map mymap = new HashMap();
    mymap.put("SouthEastEurope", "[email protected]");
    mymap.put("Italy", "[email protected]");
    String toadress = (String) mymap.get(region);Saves you from a horrible switch statement.

  • What region is my DVD?

    How do I find out what types of DVDs I can play on my MacBook Pro? I want to buy an Aussie DVD, but I'm in the US and I don't know if the DVD player in my Mac will support region 4 DVDs,

    Your optical drive is preset to play Region 1 discs if you bought your machine in the USA. You are permitted five region changes before the drive will lock permanently onto the fifth region you select. So yes, you can play Region 4 DVDs, but you can't just switch regions whenever you like, indefinitely. Before long you're going to be stuck.

  • Dynamic regions issue data transmission was interrupted

    Hi. I'm using JDev 11.2.2 and ADF full stack.
    Issue is when I'm trying to refresh a dynamic region to load a new task flow. Let me give a test case step by step:
    1.- Using HR, build model: Create objects(Entities, View Objects) for tables Employees and Departments and an Application Module.
    2.-In VC, add a facelets page with two columns layout, first for a tree for switching regions and a dynamic region in the second column.
    3.- Create a page fragment which includes a table generated from employees view in data controls and another page fragment for departments view.
    4.- Create two bounded task flows, one for employees fragment and another for departments fragment.
    5.- Drag and drop a bounded task flow to create a dynamic region in the second column of main page. Make sure selecting backingBean scope for new bean (default is Request scope).
    6.- In model, create a static list populated View Object with two attributes: one for task flow id and one for description
    7.- In VC, generate a Tree in the first column of main page
    8.- Write a selection listener for tree component to read the current task flow id and set that value to dynamic region task flow id in appropriate bean.
    9.- Set partials triggers in dynamic region in the main page to listen to tree events.
    10.- Run and try to load a new task flow by clicking in the tree. An alert is fired with this message:
    *"The content of this page failed to load as expected because data transmission was interrupted. Please try again, or contact your system administrator."*
    And, in the log appears following lines:

    If the taskflow id of taskflow which didn't work is established in dynamic region bean as initial taskflow for the region, it works, but the other taskflow fails.....
    Any suggestions?
    DEMR

    Thank you. That solves the issue. Maybe a mistake in docs:
    [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/web.111230/e16182/taskflows_regions.htm#CHDJHACA]
    It says:
    To create an ADF dynamic region:
    In the Application Navigator, select and open the JSF page where you want to create the ADF dynamic region.
    Drag and drop the first bounded task flow onto the JSF page.
    From the context menu that JDeveloper displays, choose Create > Dynamic Region.
    Choose the appropriate option in the Choose Managed Bean for Dynamic Region dialog that JDeveloper displays:
    If you want an existing managed bean to store the bounded task flow's ID, select an existing managed bean from the Managed Bean dropdown list.
    The managed bean passes the value of the bounded task flow's ID into the task flow binding of the ADF dynamic region. Make sure that the managed bean you select is not used by another ADF dynamic region.
    If no managed bean exists for the page, click the Add icon next to the Managed Bean dropdown list to create a new one. Enter values in the dialog that appears as follows:
    Bean Name: Enter a name for the new managed bean. For example, enter DynamicRegionBean.
    Class Name: Enter the name of the new managed bean class.
    Package: Enter the name of the package that is to contain the managed bean or browse to locate it.
    Extends: Enter the name of the Java class that the managed bean extends. The default value is java.lang.Object.
    Scope: This field is read-only and its value is set to backingBean. For more information about the memory scope for managed beans, see Section 18.2.4, "What You May Need to Know About Memory Scope for Task Flows."
    Click OK to close the dialogs where you configure the managed bean.

    There is a setting for this usually like "allow switch region content" if you are calling the service and the region definition does not have this enabled it will not work.

  • Contributor Mode 11g cannot remove region association

    My users need to be able to choose whether a placeholder shows up on the page or not. In the older versions I would select the "Switch Region Content" option and then select "None" and that would work. It would remove any coding or div tags I had on that region template. However in the new 11g version I don't see the "Switch Region Content" option. In the region definition there is an option to "Remove region content association" and it is checked. I do see an option to "Switch Region Template" but there is no "None" option. So what can I do for my users or is there something wrong?
    Btw this instance is running on weblogic.

  • IBooks region change

    in iTunes I can change the iTunes Store region /country simply by selecting the country icon.
    How can I change the region in iBooks?
    Is it based upon my iTunes account profile?
    Or the IP address assigned to the iPad?
    Thanks.

    My problem is similar. I followed a book title to the UK store to buy a book that is not available in Australia. But after finding the book, I was not allowed to buy it - not having a UK account - and worse, could not switch back to Australia!
    So, you can switch regions accidentally - as I discovered. But you won't be able to use that region unless you have an account there. And you won't be able to switch back, except perhaps by finding a book title that is not available in your home region but is available in your preferred region!
    Given that it can happen by accident - sure it must be able to happen otherwise! Any ideas???
