Switching to iphone.. then switching back to basic phone

Ive had an LG enV for years. Im thinking about getting an iphone. Obviously I would need a data plan for my new iphone. Lets say 3 months from now, I dont want to use the iphone and switch back to my basic LG phone.. Can i cancel my data plan i had to get for the iphone? Will I be breaking my 2year agreement contract when I switch back to my LG?

Your two year agreement is for the line of service, not the specific phone or plan you have on the line. You can swap phones (go back to your basic LG) and remove the data plan at any time, as long as the line of service remains active.

Can I switch the iPhone 3G SIM back and forth between my Razr and my iPhone

I thought that I had read that you could do this without any problems. But, when I picked up my iPhone 3G at the AT&T store this week, I asked the sales person if this would work, and he said that it would work, but would corrupt the SIM and possibly cause problems with the iPhone when it went back into it. Is this information correct? Thanks for your help!

I do it with my nokia i use it when i know im going to be out in the element's working and i dont use any data with that phone, but that's sound's kinda strange that you would have to pay for data with an unlimited data plan but im new to this so i guess we will have to wait and see-

I can not add anything to my calendar on my phone. The "On my iPhone" Calendar is gone. The only ones there are for Gmail and Cloud.

Apple won't/never does respond to any feedback.
The only way you'll get what you want is when/if Apple adds such. While they will never respond to feedback, they do read/pay attention to such.

I just updated my phone with ios 6.1.3 and now my gmail email is not working. When i tap the mail icon it brings me to my inbox for 2 seconds then immediately back to my phone home screen. I have tried deleting and re-adding my gmail account and I have reset all settings also.
Nothing is working. Does anyone have any tips?

Ugggh - Say it isn't so - changed policy on upgrade pricing on smart phones on basic phone line

I had been waiting until my son's basic / dumb phone line was eligible for an upgrade to purchase the iPhone 5. People had told me if we bought the iPhone 5 on his line and then re-activate his basic phone line then I could use the phone on my line (thereby keeping my unlimited data). I've also heard people do this and sell the phone on ebay. Now, a Verizon rep told me that you have to keep the new phone active on the line for 90 days or else they will charge you back for the full price of the phone. Grrrr -- it seems like they closed this loophole. Can anyone confirm or deny it with a link to where it says this in the Verizon 'fine print' on the website (I can't seem to find it)? I'm really disappointed!

It may have been a Verizon "authorized reseller" which is NOT a corporate Verizon store - places like the mall kiosks or storefronts that look very "Verizon" may be a reseller. You need to check the Store locator to be sure which are, in fact, corporate stores.

The iphone has been acting weird. my iphone doesnt charge whenever it is switched On. When I switch OFF the phone, it charges for 2 mins then comes back On and stops charging. I dont know what the problem is. trust me, the problem isnt from d charger

If your device has been jailbroken during the warranty, Apple will not service it.

Place iPhone on Wall Charger for at least 10 minutes. Then keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, this can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger. If still problem, open iTunes 10.7 on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, then click Restore button of iTunes. If still problem, try DFU Mode Restore, here are the steps. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. No I haven´t take it to Apple Store, i think I will actually. My iphone was jailbroken and ulocked with gevey sim, but when this failures began i decided to restore it, and I did preserve the baseband, but when I took it into one of these "Places" they told me it would be a good idea to do a clean restore and see if this fixed the problem so I upgraded my baseband, and right now my iphone is freshly restore, no jailbreak no nothing.
Btw yes something like a year ago my screen was replaces by others not by apple, but I didnt had any issues after this.. until today (a little more than a year later).

marty1966, we don't want to ruin any gift ideas at all. I'm glad you are brining this up to our attention. Wal-Mart have a different guidelines as to how they need to process the order. But, you can always activate the iPhone and then once that is done, you would need to re-program the flip phone back to the network. You can always do that by turning off the iPhone and then dial *228 from the flip phone and select option 1 for programming. I hope this was able to address your concern.

If all you get is the Apple logo and it powering off, then the next step is to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up, then you can put that on there to once the restore is complete.

iphone 4s brought as a replacement form Apple on the 6 September 2013 has developed an issue!
I can connect to my home BT HomeSpot however its so slow and will then go back to 3g, so frustrating! I have a BT Booster and the single is strong, we have no problem with any of our other devices.

I have brought the Virgin Media super hub back to the manufacturing original configuration then changed the user name and password. Only my iphone was connected. Then I've switched to 5 Ghz = 30Mbpm BANG!; went back to 2.4Ghz=dead. Now is getting worst. At the beginning it was picking at least 2Mbpm. Then 1. Then 0.something. Now it doesn't even connect. I'm pretty sure the iphone 5 must have 2 antennas and the one that uses 2.4Ghz is just gone.

My iPhone 4S has started switching itself off randomly over the last week but would then switch itself back on several minutes later by itself. However, last night it switched itself off and no matter what ive tried it wont come back on. Ive tried the home+power button, connected to itunes and not, connected to itunes with the home button pressed. I rang the Geek Squad as I have insurance and they could suggest anything more. Im loathed to take it back to the shop as all the sales assistant will do is send it off, give me a rubbish temporary phone/brick and it will take ages to come back. I would be grateful if anyone can help please?

Hi, my phone eventually came back to life of its own accord the next day but with virtually no battery life even though I'd given it a full charge. After it came back on I plugged it in to be recharged but the back became very warm whilst the power drained quicker than usual after I unplugged it.
I took it to the Apple store later that day and thankfully the phone switched itself off again right in front of one of the Genius assistants. He couldn't diagnose the problem and so gave me a brand new handset straight away. Credit to Apple there and I'm so glad I didn't take it back to the car phone warehouse where I bought it from. They would have sent it away for tests for weeks.
I've had no problems with my new handset to date.

Also sometimes phonecalls do not connect.
I have tried pressing the sleep &home button together but it doesnt work!

Unplug it from the charger after it's been connected for at least 15 minutes.
Then, press & hold both the Home Button and Sleep/Wake Button for 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release. This will 'reset' the device.
