Does anyone know if there is a way to switch between apps on the iPhone without having to go back to the home page? For example, is there a way to jump from Safari to Calendar?

Just hold down the Menu button. Oh wait, that's for the Blackberry and I think the Android as well.
iPhones can't run applications in the background. What did you think you got when you got an iPhone?
Android, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile devices can run applications in the background though.

You don't, this is a security measure which can't be changed, however, if you purchase another App within 15 minutes your password should not be required.

You have to have an itunes account to use itunes.

how can i remove pictures from my droid turbo without having to use the touch screen on the phone at all? my screen is cracked and i am waiting on a replacement phone. as far as i can tell in order to access the phone storage through my computer, i have to use the touchscreen to enable it so that the computer will see it as a camera. I can't do that as the top half of the touschscreen is unresponsive. any suggestions? teaches me to use the backup services offered in the future, but i still need a short term solution for this time.

I'm sorry to hear your screen is cracked spence425. I know its difficult to use the phone while its damaged. I'm happy you are receiving a replacement device. Have you saved any of your pictures and other data to the cloud? Here is a link about the cloud http://vz.to/1mF0GIx . Unfortunately, you will be unable to remove any data from the phone if the screen is unresponsive but if you are looking to transfer data to your new phone, it would have needed to be saved via the cloud first. Web pages on iPad often close without warning and revert to home screen. Some updated applications won't load. Running IOS 5.1.1. When I try to update, I get the message that I am running the latest version. Is my iPad having trouble running newer applications? What can I do, or is my device obsolete?

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
A reset may help both issues. No data is lost due to a reset.

Find which screen, folder it was moved to, and hold down the icon until the icons start shaking. Then drag it to the left or right edge of the screen, and it will allow you to move it to which ever screen you want it. When you have it there, tap the Home button to stop the icons form shaking.

Your issue is different from the OP's. In the future, post your own thread to get answer to your specific questions.
For the OP: Go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock and set it to your preferred time.
For you: Create a backup and restore the device as new and test it to see if it still gets very hot.

Well, you can have one app that you can get to with a double push of the home button (set in settings which you want), but I think it's only your contacts list, or your ipod app. Still useful though.
