Hey all,
I am totally new to workflow. We have just installed SRM, sandbox client. Have been follofing through some of the topics in the forum
Do i need to perform these activities as a post installation step before I start doing anything on workflow?

Hi,
I think for just setting up workflow environment, you will just need SWU3.
Once this customizing activity is done, verify it using Star Verification workflow.

(Solved) Workflow System Verification Step 4: workitem could not be created

Hello all
We're on R/3 4.7 and I'm trying to get workflow runtime environment up and running. I've already passed through the automatic customizing (SWU3), all is green!
When starting the verification workflow I get a mail in my SAP Workplace inbox telling me something about error WL 410.
In the workflow log I can see this (had to translate it from german, so please bare with me if wording in english is not absolutely correct):
green -> Start event received
green -> (sub-)workflow created
green -> workflow started
green -> SWW_WI_ERROR_MESSAGE_SEND_S
red   -> Callback vom Workitem ausgeführt
red   -> GET_DEADLINE
red   -> SWW_WI_STATUS_CHANGE
Clicking on the first red light pops up a message telling me something like that:
Workflow 'Workflow-System-Verification' Step n° 4: Workitem could not be created
The long text message of this and the workflow protocol tells nothing more.
Anyone out there able to help me on this issue?

Yes, this nearly made me crazy. Posted a customer message to SAP concerning this in parallel last week and also sent them some screenshots. They also advised me to move unit H from (non standard) dimensionless to dimension "time". This corrected it as already mentioned before.
I did several workflow activations before and never had any problems with automatic customizing and the verification workflow... until I came across this system here. Also on all other systems known to me the unit H was never dimensionless. Double checked it last week as well. Probably someone else fiddled around in CUNI without knowing what he or she was doing? Will probably never find it out. I just hope that this was an exception! Else...
Some extra points would be great of course )

BTnetprotect auto deletes files and hides system f...

Is there any way to stop BTnetprotect from auto deleting files? I don't mind it asking first and letting me decide but do not want it to be an automated process. Also, BTnetprotect seems to regularly hide system files. I set the system files to show and a few days later, BTnetprotect resets them to hidden. Is there any setting to stop this?

BT Netprotect /McAfee can cause problems on some computers and it uses a lot of computer resources. My advise would be to uninstall it and install a free program such as Microsoft Security Essentials or AVG 2013 free or Avast free.

Workflow System Administrator: document sent

Hi,
I would like to change the content of the document Workflow <workitemId> set to status ERROR sent to Wf System Admin when a Workflow fails at runtime.
Could you please explain me how to change this document and where the template is stored?

Hi Mathieu,
This has nothing to do with the setting in your current workflow definition. This setting is made in the workflow customizing - transaction SWU3.
There you can define who is the workflow system administrator and if mails should be sent. Go to transaction SWU3 and look at the following activities:
- Maintain Runtime Environment --> Maintain Workflow System Administrator: Here you set who this is. Your user-id is set here.
- Maintain Runtime Environment --> Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors: Here you can define if a background job should be scheduled for workflowinstances that go into error. This also controls if a message is sent to the WF System Administrator each time a workflow goes into error. Check also the explanatory text of this activity:
Function
You use this activity to schedule monitoring and special treatment for background work items that could not be executed initially because of a temporary error in the underlying object method. These background work items with temporary errors are then restarted automatically. The activity must also be scheduled if the workflow system administrator is to be notified automatically by mail in the event of application errors and system errors.

MSS Approval chip - missing Workflow system icon / image

Hello to all,
We are implementing HR Renewal 2.0 FP2 on a Gateway Hub setup.
The TASKPROCESSING IW_PGW component was configured and the workflow from the Backend are showing up and when clicked the approval task is displaying the new UI5 approval screen (which is nice :-).
The only issue so far is the Missing image / icon for the Workflow system as shown in the screen shot.
Using Httwatch, there are no error. Anyone experienced this similar issue?

Same here...looks like the image source is returned via the odata call.

SWU3 - Automatic workflow customizing

Hi All,
We have a situation where all users are receiving error messages in their SBWP inbox. most of them are related to error processing with IDoc. the user inboxes are flooded with error message and they are not able to open their SBWP.
It seems that in SWU3 - automatic workflow customizing setting "Idoc interface" is active.
Path : SWU3 > "Classify Task as General" > IDoc Interface (checked).
We need to deactivate this Idoc interface but we are not able to do the same. Can some one let us know how to do this.
Also if there is some other cause of this problem then please let us know. Currently we are purging the error workitems but they keep on generating in the background.

For this purpose you need to contact BASIS team to deactivate this.
Alternate solution :
Get the task id of that workitem. Open it through tcode PFTC and make the task attribute form to "General Task" to "Forwarding not allowed".
Run PFCT
Enter tour Task id ( eg. TS00008068 , please remove leading TS )
Addition data >>> Agent assignment >>> Maintain >>> Attributes
Form the next run of the workflow workitem will not reach to SBWP.
For the workitems you need to delete mannualy or forward it to a idle user.

EP iview integration with Hummingbird workflow system(iviews)

Hi all,
Kindly let me know if this is the correct forum to discuss this in. We require to have a sortf ot integration/control transfer to the hummingbird workflow system, after triggering a workflow in the SAP EP system.
So the triggering takes place in SAP EP, the control is transferred to the hummingbird system where workflow executes and the control is trnsferred back the to SAP EP. User, however is not to be effected with this control transfer/integration. Meaning, some sort of single sign on thing between the two systems. The iview ergonomics may differ, but the iview flow is to be [next]->[next] for the user.
Is single sign on ideal for this? Do we need interfces for integration? Are there any other mechanisms available in SAP EP to do this???

When you run the uninstaller, it will uninstall all Flash Player versions.
If you want to revert to an older version after that, get it from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

How to change the mail sender name that is "workflow system" to different name. Whenever the mail is triggered it shows the sender name as "workflow system" . i want to change the name of the sender..Even i changed the name of the WF-Batch(name) user but no use.. Pls advice.

Program to Auto Import transports to quality and production systems

Hi Experts
Do anyone have a program that imports transport requests automatically into quality and production systems from development? I know there is a procedure to import all into QA that can be set in TMS.
But I am looking for a program instead that could auto import into quality and subsequently to production.

You need to set the autoimport job in Q whichh will bring all the transport from Dev when they are released. For autoimport go to STMS --> import queue of your Q system -->Start import with the small truck sign and it will ask you to select the time (run it every 15 mins or so) --> start the job
Production you never setup an autoimport, there might be some transports which you may not want to send to prod, only the approved transport will go to prod. Hope this helps

Hi freshman,
your spec sheet already mentions some resistors for loading and discharging your Li cell.
- With your USB6009 you can drive some transistors to switch between charging and discharging. You also have some AIs (analog inputs) to measure Li cell voltage as well as currents (when using some reasonable shunt resistors).
- Make an electronics sketch, read the manual of your USB6009 for it's specs and then grab your breadboard to build your electronics.
- Look at the examples coming with LabVIEW on how to switch DO signals and how to measure voltages (read the manual on that topics too!)

there´s the FM: SWD_GET_CUSTOMIZING.
It returns a structure in which field DEF_ADMIN contains the administator.
Maybe you would want to look at the coding in
report: LSWDVF01, Form: get customizing
There are more function modules that might help.

A question about Auto Save, Versions and Preview.

I haven't upgraded to Lion (yet?). I'm trying to understand what impact Lion will have on my workflow.
Do I understand right that it is not possible to turn off Lion's Auto Save?
And that the autosavings are stored in a hidden sqlLite data base?
I use Preview for... err... previewing files (PDFs and image files). Nothing I open (preview) in Preview I save.
Is Lion's Auto Save going to save every file I take a look at in Preview?

I do want to upgrade. Eventually. Although I do worry about the direction Apple are heading in, I don't want to get stuck in the past.
I'm disappointed AirDrop is not for my computers. And the treatment Spaces and Exposé got really withholds me of upgrading any time soon. Maybe a third party developer dives into this matter. Working with an external display connected to notebooks has changed in Lion and is not particularly handy for everyone. (While using the external display only, opening the lid of the notebook in Lion turns on the display of the notebook. This was not the case before Lion.)
