Telugu keyboard for iphone?
Can we Expect telugu keyboard for iphone in ios 8. It is the 15 largest spoken language in the world.
Nobody in these forums can tell you why Apple hasn't done something you want. But you can ask for it via
http://www.apple.com/feedback
Since iOS 8 allows custom keyboards to be installed, I suspect Apple will not bother adding new ones itself in the future. For Telugu, get

Hello, the purpose of this message is to bring important facts to the attention of iPhone users.
The current version of iOS 6 does not have a Armenian keyboard available for iPhone users.
To my understanding iPhone is a largely popular device used by Armenian speaking communities.
Armenian blogs, chat rooms and social websites currently use a phonetic version of Armenian---that is Armenian in Latin letters.
The problem with phonetic Armenian is:
Discomforting auto correction---an Armenian phonetic word makes a change in a default iPhone dictionary.
Sometimes a conversation is misunderstood, due to the phonetic pronoun cation of Armenian used by different users.
Most importantly, Apple as a company who supports education---fact, educational faculties use apple devices, apple provides discounts to students---I believe that apple as a company ought to make an Armenian keyboard, immediately.
I believe that by not providing Armenian keyboard and by attracting all communities with the beautiful device such as iPhone, there will be a tragedy and many communities will eventually lose the ability of speaking their native language.
This is only my opinion and analysis per known facts.
I do foresee the disaster, perhaps unintentionally, however realistically.
Example of a disaster: cigarette smoking is attractive and addictive, however cigarette smoking is dangerous and may be the reason of death of the cigarette smoker.
I hope to see Armenian keyboard available in iPhone immediately.
Cordially,
Hakob GevorgianTom, nothing in this life is pointless.
By the way, upon reading your suggestion I tried sending my message to apple using the feedback form. I don't think it worked, there were few problems.
Could anyone please send my message (the message I posted earlier) using the feedback?
Thanks in advance

Thai keyboard for iPhone 3G?
Any idea when Apple will include a Thai keyboard for the iPhone? Is there any other way to get one on the phone in case I don't want to wait around for apple to do it?
Hi All:
I'm happy to report significant progress toward solving this thread. After a 10-day or so hiatus in my usual web search for a 3g keyboard, I took a shot last night. And guess what I found? A lot!
Since November 13th, our friends in the Land of Smiles have been prepping diligently for True Move's iPhone release. To the point of the thread, Quik Dict (Thai Edition) is now available in the App Store for $4.99, and it includes a Thai keyboard. See http://www.mobclix.com/appstore/app/299442281 for info.
My wife and I tested it, and the keyboard appears to be fully functional within the Quick Dict app itself (as advertised). Advanced dictionary; not graduate academic level, but as good as the best pocket dictionaries available. The keyboard is not usable outside the app (as advertised).
Based on a conversation I had a few weeks ago with developer rustybrick.com, who issued a Hebrew keyboard app, it appears to me that Quik Dict has done all the heavy lifting. rustybrick.com told me that the Thai keyboard is "much more complex" than Hebrew, so they weren't interested in taking on the development. Appears to me all that Quik Dict has to do is decouple the keyboard and issue as a stand-alone app; and, I imagine there is code to add to make the keyboard accessible to other Apple and 3rd-party apps. My day job is not as a programmer, but I figure that since rustybrick.com did it in Hebrew, for Quik Dict to complete a stand-alone version would be a snap.
More fun and showing that True Move is committed to iPhone release: Go to the App store on the iPhone, and search "Thai" You will find that True Move has issued six free apps for Thai users, all obviously targeted toward providing support of their upcoming iPhone release. As well as giving their customers new ways to spend money with downloads (trust me, Apple could learn a few tricks from Thai service providers about after-market marketing). All Thai-phobes reading this will just love these apps - Thai music hit previews for free!
In a prior post, my crystal ball said we'd see the Thai keyboard in next one or two firmware updates; v2.2 has now passed without it. My refined prediction is that we'll see the keyboard within the next four-to-eight weeks from a third-party developer, which will be duplicated by Apple in a future firmware update.
If we already had cut-and-paste, then a (Rube Goldberg) solution to this thread would be to write in Thai with Quik Dict keyboard and paste to email. Therefore I conclude, it is 80% Apple's fault that we cannot resolve this thread as "solved" (I'm giving them 20% partial credit for posting the App). Are you listening, Cupertino? -

Wireless Keyboard for iPhone?

-Glennwhere is the hyperlink for your information ?
This PDF link has a good explanation of BT profiles:
https://techtrain.samsungwireless.com/tekweb/Misc/Main/Accessories/Bluetooth_Pro files.pdf
The HID profile is the one needed for keyboard connection, and isn't included in iPhone 3.0 OS
where do you know, that this is not in the new os 3.0 ?
I know, because I have been using all the 3.0 betas. If you read the latest Apple site page listing the new 3.0 features, you won't see it there. Only stereo audio (A2DP) with audio/video remote control (AVRCP) were added.

I have a first generation iPhone - not an iPhone 3G.
Are there any available external keyboards available for the iPhone? I have a Palm and a Dell Axim PDA, and I have foldable keyboards that I can use with those devices.
When will there be an external keyboard available for the iPhone?
JeffNot that I know of but what about this ?

External keyboard for iPhone 3G ?
Does it exist ? Is there anay available in France ? I'm very interested in this device, since it allows fast key entry (I presently use a very old Qtek with an external -foldable- stowaway keyboard ; that's fully functional, though the GPRS internet browser is terribly slow...)
Thanks for your help,
FabriceThere is no Bluetooth keyboard that will work with the iPhone. That's Apple's fault -- the iPhone simply does not have the Bluetooth capabilities needed for keyboards (and Bluetooth stereo headphones as well). Apple's implementation of Bluetooth on the IPhone is shockingly out of date -- in this regard, as much as I love the iPhone -- it's a piece of antiquated hardware.
It's baffling why Apple has not addressed this problem in the 3G iPhone, and its failure to do so seriously undermines it's claims to technological superiority. It also makes the iPhone a very unfriendly device for dealing with high volume email. I get more than 150 emails a day, many requiring well written, thoughtful responses, which the built-in touch keyboard makes impossible. So as much as I'd like to, I can't use my iPhone for handling email, even though it gets pushed to me from my company server. I'm afraid to say that it sits there on the iPhone, untouched.
What is Apple thinking? Actually, regarding Bluetooth, I don't Apple is thinking at all. And don't get me started on A2DP for music -- another Bluetooth Apple failure. It's not on any iPod or iPhone. Why not? I can't think of any good reason -- it defies logic.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the T9 keyboard on the iPhone?
There are several apps for that. Search the App Store for "T9".

Does anyone remember the nice fold-up keyboards that you could get for Palm Pilots? Is there anyone out there that could make a similar keyboard that also doubles as a recharge station for the IPHONE either using a USB connection or running off the IPHONE battery for short periods. This would be so excellent for us older ham fisted (big fingers) people that use the IPHONE for sending emails and writing reports while away from the office.
I will put my order in for one immediately.Since Apple is adding additional bluetooth profiles and access with firmware update 3.0 to be released this summer, such a keyboard may be supported with the iPhone after firmware update 3.0 is released.
