SXMB_MONI or SM58 ?

Hi,
I have got a simple scenario : file -> xi -> idoc (R3).
My IDOC Adapter is based on a destination RFC (classical) and for testing the error management of the IDOC Adapter on XI, i put an invalid user in my destination RFC. So i execute my scenario several times it failed at each time !!! and here 2 cases :
1) In sxmb_moni my message is processed successfully but i have an entry in SM58.
2) In sxmb_moni my message is canceled with error (red flag) but i have no entry in the SM58. For me this is the best solution.
So why i have 2 cases ? Is it a problem of configuration ?
because i want only the case 2).
Regards,
Vincent

Hi,
For the same wrong rfc destination i've got
in sxmb_moni : <SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>FM NLS_GET_LANGU_CP_TAB: Could not determine code page with ARS Name or password is incorrect. Please re-enter FM NLS_GET_LANGU_CP_TAB</SAP:P1>
OR
in sm58 : XIAFUSER     IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS     ARS           17.02.2006 15:57:33 Name or password is incorrect. Please re-enter
It's so strange ?

  • Idoc "missing" between SAP and PI

    Hi!
We have an issue with Idocs that are "missing" between SAP and PI. First 5 idocs were processed ok, then 3 went into yellow status. We have set up queue processing on this particular idoc type as there can be posted 2 at the same time. The problem started when 2 idocs were processed at the same time
    What have been done
    - SMQ1/2 in SAP system does not show any trace of these messages
    - SMQ1/2 in PI system does not show any trace of the messages
    - Message monitoring in PI does not show any trace of the messages
    - SM58 in SAP system is empty
    - SM58 in PI system is empty
What checks remain to find out where these Idocs are stuck?
    Thanks!

  • Central monitoring in SOLAM+ALE status

    Hi guys,
Please refer to my post in Solution manager forum.
I belive this issue is with interest of this forum as well.
    [Question posted in Solution manager forum|Central PI Monitoring and Alerting in Solution manager;
Your opinion will be most wellcom.

    Hi,
When you configure a BPM in Solution Manager, you can see three boxes in one screen.
One for Source System, One for Middleware that is SAP PI and one for Target system.
Now, considering source and target are SAP systems like SAP ECC, SRM etc, you will see the corresponding Box in RED if the message is failed in that particular system.
For example: Lets have a scenario SRM (Proxy) to SAP PI to SAP ECC (IDOC)
In this case if message fails at SRM SXMB_MONI, you will see SRM box in RED.
if message fails at SAP PI SXMB_MONI, you will see SAP PI box in RED.
if message fails at SAP ECC WE02, you will see SAP ECC box in RED.
When you click on individual boxes to see detail error analysis, you will get a screen where that particular system error handling is defined.
For e.g. if you click on SAP PI box, you will be able to see defined error handling for different SAP PI components like RWB, SXMB_MONI, SMQ2, SM58 etc.
I n short, for detail error analysis, you have to go to individual component like SAP PI/SAP ECC/SRM where you actually connect to SAP PI/SAP ECC/SRM from Solution Manager.
    Hope its clear.

  • JDBC - XI - IDOC scenario, SM58 error

I am trying to set up a scenario with JDBC -> XI-> IDOC.  I seem to get the data, but when I look at it in SXMB_MONI, I get the checkered flag, for the overall status, but a red flag for the outbound status.  This led me to SM58 where I see this error "No authorization to send IDocs with message type Z...".  It shows the caller ID as being XIAFUSER (which is different from the ID I have created on the receiving SAP system) and is in function module IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS.   On XI, I have the RFC (SM59) and Port (IDX1) setup for the receiving SAP system.  The receiving system has an ID setup (used in the RFC on XI), has a partner profile, port, logical system, and a RFC to XI setup.
Any ideas on where to track this down?  I tried giving XIAFUSER sap_all, and it still fails and this ID does not exist on the receiving system.

    HI,
Just to inform you that, if any SM58 error, mainly because of IDX1 entry and RFC destination .
So that;s the reason , i just suggested to check this SAP note.
Now you have given SAP_ALL access to test right ? Even you can check with this SAP note-837595
Also check that SM59 (RFC destination) in XI system uses any User ID ? DO not select CURRENT USER option here.. and check it

  • BPM: SendContext not visible in SXMB_MONI DynamicConfiguration

    Hi everybody,
I set a sendContext in a  sendStep in BPM.
AFAIK in SXMB_MONI the value of the sendContext could be seen in SXMB_MONI under DynamicConfiguration.
But I cant see it although the sentStep is processed.
But I can see is in SXMB_MONI_BPE under SENDCONTEXT.
    What is wrong?
The correspondinding entry in condition editor for receiver-Determination is "ProcessStep"? Isn't it?
    Regards Mario

    Hi All,
    Thanks a lot.
But my problem still remains.Let me detail out the settings I have followed.
    In the Sender System.
1.WE20(Partner Profiles):Maintained Outbound Parameters for the Logical System name of the <b>Receiver</b> as mentioned in SLD.
    2.WE21(Port)
    3.SM59(Connection to XI)
    In XI
    1.IDX1
    2.IDX2
    3.IR
    4.ID
    SLD
1.Logical system name for the Sender System
2.Logical system name for the Receiver System
I have checked in Transaction SM58 of the Sender System.
However I do not see any error there. There is no list created, which means that IDoc has left the Sending System ,So is there a possibility that there a problem with the IDoc Adapter.
If so then how do I solve it?
    Kindly help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vanita.

    Hi experts,
Here i am having one issue. i have done Idoc 2 file scenario...i have created material in R/3 successfully. when i have sent the material to legacy system..Idoc was generated Successfully in r/3 but i haven't seen that message in SXMB_MONI..

plz any one can u help me on this....
    Regards,

    Hi Yadav,
The RFC port you defined is not correct in IDX1. The Port name must be in the form of u201CSAPxxxu201D, where xxx is the system ID of the backend SAP system.
    Just cross check it.

  • SXMB_MONI - Message scheduled on outbound side (no queues)

    Hi All,
I currently have a problem on one of our XI systems.
In SXMB_MONI all the process messages have the outbound status of "Message scheduled on outbound side" (green flag). The interface is going into a BPM process.
There is nothing in the QRFC-Monitor or in the tRFC - SM58.
I have already registered all the queues.
The XBQO queue for the BPM processing is not being triggered. This process used to work on this system, but has now stopped.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Matthew.

    1. check in sxi_cache. the return code of ur IP shud be 0.
    2. register q in smq2

  • SXMB_MONI - Message has error on outbd. side

    Hello,
We have occurences when interfaces appear to be successful in the SXMB_MONI monitor for processed xml messages.  The status flag = successfull.  But there is a column just in front of "Message ID" that also has another status flag.
When this flag is red and you hover over it, it shows the following "Message has error on outbd. side".  How can we locate a corresponding log and get some more detail behind this message?  We cannot seem to connect the dots between this red flag and a corresponding log entry to give us details of the problem.
When it says "outbound", which system should we be examining (PI or the receiving system)?
    Thank you,
    John

    Hi,
Select the Messge in MONI and MenugotoOutbound Channel monitor
Double Click on the Idoc Number, this will take you to SM58 Screen
Here you can be able to seee the reason why it got errored out at Outbound Side.
    Now in SM58Edit-Execute LUWs
Selection screen will appear and here select all the check boxes irrespective of any Error and select the date that when these message got into Error state and all.
And Now Execute that either in Foreground or in Background
This will execute all the Errored messages at Outbound side will process and the Idocs will reach to R/3

  • PE_Adapter status with gray colored arrow in sxmb_moni

    Hi ,
I have one interesting problem to discuss,
We are working in the production system and all archiving and deletion jobs are scheduled on weekly basis.
Scenario is IDOC-->SOAP and BPM is also used. When checking in sxmb_moni the status of message is checkered flag but on the outbound side the status is green with scheduled for outbound processing. and when i display the message PE_ADAPTER's status is not checkered it is a gray colored arrow.and deletion and archiving job have not deleted only these messages. Also when i click on PE in sxmb_moni it doent take me to the BPM process steps it just refers to Inbound Queue.
What i have done so far
    1. There is no entry in SMQ1,SMQ2,SWPR,SWPC,SWWL,SM58 for these messages.
    2. In message monitoring also when i check with the message ID as filtration criteria it is showing successful for integration engine.
How to complete this PE_Adapter step of pipeline.
or is that the case like new message was created for same process in sxmb_moni and the current messages are just to display.?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Krishna,
I have done everything related to queue, deregistering, registering and activating but still no luck, there is nothing in the queue and these messages are two months back. b'coz there status was incomplete , they were not deleted and in sap side Idoc dint get acknowlegement for these messages.

  • Message has error on outbound side in sxmb_moni

    Dear All,
I have a query related to sxmb_moni messages.
    Scenario : FILE - XI - IDOC
In sxmb_moni, message is successfully processed by XI but <b>it is showing error " message has error on outbound side".</b>
    My questions are:
<b>1)Is it possible to restart the message . When I tried to restart the sucessful message with error on outbound side it showed me message " You cannot restart xml message".</b>
2)I tried to analyze error for outbound side using SM58, it showed me message "No connection to database, session terminated" .
Can anyone please advice what could be the reason for this .
    Thanks & Regards
    Prabhat

    Hi Prabhat,
the message was send to the IDoc adapter. The error occures there.
Control, if the send XML can be translated to IDocs (use a message mapping).
Control, if the SM59 destination to R/3 is working.
Conrol, if the communication channel is customized in the right way. Control, if the port is customized (transaction IDX1).
Also the metadata for that IDoc should be in IDX2, that should happen automaticly, if not, assumedly the destination is not working.
    Regards,
    Udo

  • Message not seen in SXMB_MONI

    Hello Experts,
We are sending MATMAS IDoc from ECC system through PI 7.1 to third party using HTTP.
When Material is sent using  transaction BD10 an IDoc gets triggered and is visible in transaction WE02 in green status. The Port used to send the IDoc data is the same that is configured in the Partner Profile for the PI system.
But the corresponding message is not visible in SXMB_MONI of PI.
    Please help!
    Thanks in advance,
    Suraj

    Hello Prateek,
Yes it is showing stuck in SM58 with status '::000'
If we see the help of status it shows "Field contents that were used for the placeholders in the statement MESSAGE."
We cannot understand what this status means or how to resolve it.
    Please help!

  • SXMB_MONI: Outbound Status Red (Need Err Message Alerts)

What is the best way to setup meaasge alerts in XI for a red flag in SXMB_MONI in the "Outbound Status" field? We currently have error messageing setup in ALERTCATDEF that will send an error message when the "Status" field is a red flag but I don't know if there is a way to point it to the "Outbound Status" also. We use the following short text in ALERTCATDEF for notification:
    System: &SXMS_ERRSRC_SYSNAME&
    POS XI Message ID:    &SXMS_MSG_GUID&
    POS XI Error Category:    &SXMS_ERROR_CAT&
    POS XI Error Code:    &SXMS_ERROR_CODE&
I am thinking tha ALERTCATDEF will only send an alert when the "Status" field is red flag, and may not be possible to point to the "Outbound Status" field".
         Any suggestions?    Thank-You.

    Bill,
    2 questions here,
    1. Are alerts also triggered for outbound errors?
Am not very sure but if i remember correct ,in one of our scenarios when there was an error in SM58 while posting the Idoc ( error on outbound side in MONI ) no alert was triggered.  I dont have any access to a server where alerts are working and so would just like to confirm if alerts are triggered also for Outbound side errors or are they triggered only for inbound errors?
    2.  If they are triggered for both, then wouldnt selectin NO RESTRICTION in where did the error occur suffice?

it would be great if you suugest me on wht could be the error

    hi
Check the Rfc destination is working properly or not by using test connection.
First check the SMQ1 and SMQ2  in sap xi for any messages are stucked in the queues . If any message are stucked clear those messages.
Check the idocs are created in the sap xi by using idx5 for those files. if it is ok then check those reached the R/3 system or not by using the WE02 tr. code.
If those are not reached then check the sm58 tr code in sap xi any messages for that users.

  • T rfc error in SM58

    I m getting  " :: 000 " error in SM58 while sending ORDERS
I have tried everything, even recreated all ALE configuration settings.
    What could be the reason?
With the same settings, I could transfer MATMAS but its comign only for ORDERS

To track the IDOC in SAP XI you need some authorizations to execute IDX5
To start the XI message monitor in the remote system
    SXMB_MONI with ACTVT = 03
To start the IDoc monitor in the remote system
    SXMB_MONI with ACTVT = 03
    Authorization for function groups:
    BDMON
    BDMT
    IDOC_TRACING
    SXMB_MONI
Trigger the IDOC in the R/3 system like do the scenario like IDOC to file or File to IDOC.
