Sxmb_moni - selction lists for service, interface etc. are empty

If I use the transaction sxmb_moni at XI/PI systems it is possible to get such lists of services, interfaces and namespaces if I use the selection help at the selection screen. If I click at the selection help of the sender interface column I get all my sender interfaces.
If I do the same at one of my SAP applications systems I always get the message "No values found" Is this normal (by design) or is there a configuration error?

we use Tcode CO27 for PP-Orders. This Tcode cannot be used for Service-Orders.
Is there any Tcode to get a Picking-List for Service-Orders?

No endpoint for Service Interface

Hi everybody,
I have published my Service Interface to the Service Registry but unfortunately without an endpoint.
How can i configure an endpoint for a Service Interface within ESR? Should i use a Model in ESR?

Hi Sid,
Your business logic has to be implemented in the system that will be providing (provider system) the data / info etc.
e.g. You want to create a web service that allows you to update a customer's address details in SAP ECC & this functionlaity should be triggered from a Webdynpro Java User Interface.
- Webdynpro Java is the consuming application (also called consumer)
- SAP ECC is the backend system OR provider system OR provider
In this case your business logic will be in SAP ECC.
If you choose to go with a point-to-point scenario:
You could first setup a connection between SAP ECC (provider) & SAP PI. You could then model your inbound service interface in SAP PI. Now because you have visibility between SAP ECC & SAP PI, the service interface modeled in SAP PI become visible in SAP ECC (TCode SPROXY). You would then generate a provider proxy from this service interface & implement the business logic in there. Once the proxy is activated you can then configure an endpoint for it using TCode SOAMANAGER (see lots of guides on how here in SDN). In this case SAP PI is only used at design time just to model the service interface. At runtime Webdynpro Java would talk to SAP ECC directly via the endpoint that you would configure.
For a mediated approach:
Pretty much the same concept as above except this time you would also model an outbound service interface & map the inbound & outbound interface. The call would then be routed as follows - Webdynpro Java -> SAP PI -> SAP ECC but the business logic would still be implemented in SAP ECC.
There are lots of technicalities around this but there are lots of guides on SDN relating to this.

I am not totallt getting your point but can suggest following points:
1. Check whether these object are displaying in DIR's as object links.
2. If it is there then it shoud be displayed in document data of those objects.
3. Check that documents are properly checked-in.

NWDS deploy error for service interface

Hi Friends,
I am deploying simple process instance via NWDS.
The process instance contains "intermediate message event" , which is waiting for cXML - order request message.
The service interface -wsdl in SAP PI ,which is configured for above "intermediate message event" is having below line :
<xsd:import namespace="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" schemaLocation="http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd"/>
I am getting below error while deploying above instance:
Description:
1. JAR entry META-INF/wsdl/mtsapcom2Forderreq2Freceiverespmsg/http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd not found in D:\usr\sap\DI3\J00\j2ee\cluster\server1\temp\deploy\mt.sap.com~orderreq.sda1403025008814\mt.sap.com~orderreq.wsar
How to resolve this reference in service interface?
Also, external defination having cXML.xsd is also having some of the field types are red, like xml:lang.
Please suggest your views on the same.

There seems to be a sample WSDL defined in the SPML 1.0 bindings document on openspml.org at the following URL:

I didn't check the new SPML 2.0 spec to see if it includes a WSDL you could use but I think 2.0 is only available in IdM 7.0.

All config files in /etc are empty. Why and how to fix?

Configuration files in /etc are all empty. I first noticed this when I was not able to sudo. I enabled root user and copied the sudoers~orig to sudoers. After, I noticed all the other files were empty as well. I copied over the ~orig version. Why is this happening?
The following files were empty:
afpovertcp.cfg
csh.cshrc
csh.login
csh.logout
ftpusers
mail.rc
named.conf
bashrc
passwd
ssh_config
prifle
sshd_config
networks
master.passwd
I copied all the ~orig version of the files back to repopulate the default configurations.

After restoring the files it hasn't happened again. I really don't want to re-install again if I can. If the files don't erase themselves by tomorrow morning and after a few restarts, I won't re-install.

Soap Action missing in the WSDL generated for Service Interface

Hi All,
I have modelled an interface in the ESR and have created the proxy in the back-end ECC6 system. It is basically an outside-in approach. I have generated a WSDL using the Wizard in the SPROXY transaction. But the WSDL does not have any SOAP Action. I tried to create a web-service for an existing BAPI. That WSDL also did not have any SOAP Action. Can you please let me know why the SOAP Action is missing? Is there any other way of generating the WSDL?

Hi Geetha,
Please try configuring the entire scenario in PI.
If you are using PI 7.1, You can see the WSDL by right clicking on Sender agreement. Please use SENDER SOAP Channel. In PI 7.0 you will have to generate WSDL manually.

Credit Memo for Service items that are returned

Hey Friends,
I'm trying to create credit memo for a service item that is returned. I sold one laptop with one year extended warranty and now I want to RMA both the laptop and extended warranty.
What are the setups to create credit memo - when I do the RMA, it's only has one line because the extended warranty is non-returnable. I ran Main Billing program but nothing happened. After running autoinvoice, I was able to see the credit memo only for the laptop and not the service item. Ideally they should be in the same credit memo and not separate.

Sales order - VA01 - F4 Drop Down List for date, plant etc

Hi Experts,
In Standard VA01 transaction, in the order overview transaction, when I press F4 for "requested delivery field" I see the popup screen in "Control" view.
When VA01 is called from a custom program, in the overview screen,for the date I get different popup screen (dialog) for F4 possible values.
Is there reason for this differen behaviour for VA01 from standrd and for BDC? Please let me know.
Note: help => settings => F4 Help, I have the right settings (Display - Control).

BOM IN CRM Only for Service Contract

We want have a BOM explosion working in CRM for service contracts
Here are the details :
We have replicated the materials from ECC to CRM. We are not maintaining any BOMu2019s in ECC.
The idea is that we maintain the BOM Structure in CRM only, as we donu2019t want to have the Items as a billable item in a position, only for information purposes (or later on for metering)
We have maintained the product category for the header product in CRM so we are able to maintain depended components
(Relationship type SCDEC S Dependent Components (DC) )
Not we are able to assign dependent component to the header material
Item category groups:
We understand that the standard item category groups that should be used are ERLA for the header product and LUMF for the Item product.
In order to support the same functionality for the given item category group , maintained at the product level in ECC we copied the same setting for the item category group from the standard to
our settings.

Questions:
Is it possible to have the BOM setup only in CRM, like we try to do it?
Is it possible to use our own item category groups in CRM more is the functionality only working with ERLA and LUMF?
Is it possible to use the BOM Explosion in Service contracts as well ?
What steps are we missing to get the BOM explosion in CRM ?

Thanks Nablan, I could do that for multiple header coming in file. But I have a question for you on BAdI ALM_ME_006_GOODSMVT. I have implemented this BAdI , and this BAdI is called by a function Module ALM_MEREP_006_CREATE. When I test this FM giving the Material , Orderid and Movement type entries, this BAdI is triggered when giving a breakpoint. I've given this code for changing the movement type to 961. Cause the stanadrd scenario does not maintain Movement type 961 in Mobile Asset Management. The Movement type 961 for unplanned Materials comes to SAP and changes to 261 as maiantained by TCOKO table. To bypass this & retain the movement type 961 in SAP I'm using this BAdI. Currently this is what I'm doing and am stuck in the method interface how do I call the method.
