Runtime errors for Branched in SXMB_MONI
Hi,
After PI 7.0 has been upgraded to SPS16, every time I try to display a message in status "Branched" from SXMB_MONI I get a runtime error. Also I got an error when trying to display it from RWB Monitor.
Messages in other statuses donu2019t have problems
Any suggestion why is that? Thanks.
JanosHi,
It is error Message_type_X, but I don't think it is a SAPGUI problem, since I got the same problem with SAPGUI 710 and SAPGUI 640
Bellow is the extract from ST22.
Runtime Errors MESSAGE_TYPE_X
Date and Time 22.09.2008 13:50:43
Short text
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
Error analysis
Short text of error message:
Control Framework : Error processing control
Long text of error message:
Diagnosis
An error occurred when the system tried to process the commands
from the Automation Queue on the presentation server.
There are several possible reasons for this:
- The installation of the SAP GUI on the presentation server is
faulty or obsolete.
- There is an error in the application program
- There is an error in the SAPGUI or an integrated control
Procedure
1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support
Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your
system
2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or
generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some
users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.
If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem
with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the
software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may
point to the cause of the error.
3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note
158985).
4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately
before the dump.
5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue,
Synchronous Processing.
The status bar of the GUI displays the text:
"Automation synchron flush mode on"
6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will
display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace
will contain the error on the presentation server.
7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to
sapservX, so that SAP can analyze them.
Technical information about the message:
Message class....... "CNDP"
Number.............. 006
Variable 1.......... " "
Variable 2.......... " "
Variable 3.......... " "
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
"SAPLOLEA" or "LOLEAU02"
"AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error. -
ST22 Dump - Need to find associated proxy XML
Hi,
I need to find the inbound proxy call (xml message), which has caused the ST22 dump. Can any of you tell me whether the transaction id or any other values from ST22 can be used to track the message unique?
Thanks,HI Joe,
for any proxy call either inbound or outbound, you will find all the processed the messages in the SXMB_MONI transaction.
the messages which are processed successfully has the status and processed successfully but if there is any problem during the processing of message because of program dump then this message remains in the green flagged status. hence try to find out the green flagged status and check the error log for the same. you will find out the exact error message which is appearing in ST22.
you can also try to check the queue using smq2 transaction , if there is any dump while processing the message the followeing messages are got stuck as long as you are not deleting the first messages. from there also you can see the erroneous XML data. -
Dunning - ST22- Exception in GET_DUNNING_CUSTOMIZING FM.
Hi Experts,
Issue is,
When the user ran the Dunning report on July 16th, (selection criteria is--> July 16th & From customer 1 TO customer 999999999), bcoz of some thing, at CUST_444, the Exception was raised (say, for customers CUST_111, CUST_222, CUST_333, its successful), saying that...ABAP/4 processor: RAISE_EXCEPTION and it stopped there/job cancelled!
So, now, again when the user wants to(subsequent running of dunning report) run the report for customer 1 to 999999999, SAP is blocking CUST_111, CUST_222, CUST_333 reports and saying already printed on July 16th!
ST22- Exception in GET_DUNNING_CUSTOMIZING FM.
So, How to fix it? I guess, we hv to delete the July 16th history report, If so, How to delete it?
thanq.

I can not find the messages in sxmb_moni in http to rfc scenarion
hi i'm using http client tool when i send the message its working fine i'm getting the response, but i can not find that message in sxmb_moni in http to rfc scenario
can anyone help meHi lnaki vila
I'm using pi 7.0 version
i can see the other scenarios like SOAP to RFC, SOAP to IDOC,FILEto IDOC
in sender side i'm not using any communication channel and adapter engine i'm just using http client tool for testing purpose
i'm getting the response that's fine because its a synchronous communication
i checked sxmb_adm in that -->integration configuration LOGGING parameter of category RUNTIME is set to ENGINE_TYPE and current value is HUB(Integration server)
thanks in advance

Can not see messages in SXMB_MONI of ECC
Hi Friends,
Here I am facing some problem with SXMB_MONI of ECC. I am doing an XI upgrade from XI3.0 to PI 7.1.
when I am doing my interface upgrade I am unable to see messages in SXMB_MONI of ECC. As ECC is also got upgraded now BASIS is very confused about configuration.
when I went through some blogs I came across some suggestions like configuration in SXMB_ADM. In ECC the integration engine configuration what I did is
Role of Business System : Application System.
Corresponding Integ. Server : dest://<HTTP DEST>
One of my doubts:: Is <HTTP DEST> is the one which we are giving in XI/PI or the new one created for ECC. First BASIS set up <HTTP DEST> as the same one which was configured in PI. Then I went back to BASIS and tell them that ECC is having its own local Integration Engine, so we need to create <HTTP DEST> which connects to integration engine of ECC.
Then they created one <HTTP DEST> for ECC. but when I am doing connection test, Http response is coming as 400 BAD HTTP Response :: protocol error. I have no idea why it is behaving like that.
After when I go through some more blogs they are dealing with RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI. when I check it in ECC I didn't found RFC destination LCRSAPRFC but SAPSLDAPI is existing in ECC.
more over some blogs deal with the configuration in Transaction SLDAPICUST. when I check it in ECC no configuration was done in SLDAPICUST.
I already configured ENGINE_TYPE, IS_URL, LOGGING, LOGGING_PROPAGATION, LOGGING_SYNC under specific configuration data of SXMB_ADM of ECC.
Please let me know what needs to be done and let me out of this confusion. As I am a PI developer I am unaware of all these configurations. expecting replies from gurus....
Regards,
DASARIHi Friends,
Looking at some more blogs I got a doubt.
Actually my scenario is File - XI - RFC.
Now my doubt is whether we can see the messages which were going to ECC by RFC adapter ?
Looking at a thread I got confused whether SXMB_MONI can capture messages only if they are coming from Proxy or IDOC . please clarify me.

PI 7.11 - How to create a System Error in SXMB_MONI using a Java Mapping
Hi
We ve go a Java Mapping in a File-to-HTTP Scenario. It works perfect except of one error case: if an empty source file or a source file with the wrong structure is delivered. In this case our Java Mapping forwards an empty payload to the HTTP channel. So, for PI is the mapping successful.
I'd like to recognize this case and invoke a system error in the SXMB_MONI, so that this mapping will be stopped and our alerting concept informs the users. I know, how to recognize the case in Java but need to know how to create the System Error Status in the PI System.
Thanks in advance
MichaelHi Michael,
Please refer here for the mapping API description:
http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/pi/com/sap/aii/mapping/api/package-summary.html
You can use the StreamTransformationException exception describet there to raise an error from your Java mapping. Direct link:
http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/pi/com/sap/aii/mapping/api/StreamTransformationException.html
You might also consider using the "Empty-File Handling" option in sender file CC to avoid processing empty files by PI.
Hope this helps,

Unable to see pipe line steps in the SXMB_MONI
HI,
i have done the development and quality work for my p i7.1
i was testing the messages in the Quality System.
So i went to SXMB_MONI to see the messages.
After double clicking on the successfully processed message, it shows
pipe line steps.
in that I am able to see
1.inbound message(CENTRAL)
2.XML Validation inbound channel Request
3. call adapter
4. Response
but i am unable to see
1. Receiver Determination
2. Interface Determination
3. Receiver Grouping
4. Request Message Mapping
5. Technical Routing
whereas in the develoment system i am able to see the above all.
is there any configuration i have to do in the SXMB_ADM?can i know that Configuration objects were created/ imported by using transport mechanisum?
if created ,
check the cache status and re activated those objects whatever u r posted in thread.
if transported :
u ll follow ,whatever posted by Earlier -
What is Difference between SXMB_MONI and SXMB_MONITOR?
what is Difference between SXMB_MONI and SXMB_MONITOR?
Can any explain to this question.please?Hello,
Both are same.
SXMB_MONI is area menu which will contain all multiple transactions pertaining to monitoring.
SXMB_MONI contains some functions viz monitoring for Bridging, Archived Msgs, Job overview, persistence layer analysis.
SXI_monitor directly leads to the message monitoring for the IS, which is part of the SXMB_MONI.
SXI_MONITOR directly executes the monitoring report.
Thanks,

ST22 , Need to get the Transaction and Pgm name using a FUNCTION MODULE ?
Hi All,
I need to create a Report for monitoring Dumps which is seen in ST22 every day.
The function module RS_ST22_GET_DUMPS gives the dump information . But i need to fetch the Program name and the transaction where the dump has happened for my report.(Like when we double click the alv output in ST22 and the next list gives us the complete information , Transaction , Main program name ...etc)
Kindly suggest me and help me on this .
Regards,
Richard AHi
Funcion module RS_ST22_GET_DUMPS will return the program names where the dump has taken place.
Pass this program name to function module RPY_TRANSACTION_READ to get the trascation code of the program.

SAP ST22 dump SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Hi All,
We are getting dump SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC in testing system. SAP basis: 701 and Oracle 10.2.0.2
We are getting this dump from yesterday only and the details of the dump are as mentioned below:
============================================================================================
Short text
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLSBAL_DB_INTERNAL" had to be terminated because it
has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in
procedure "BAL_DB_INTERNAL_NO_UPDATE_TASK" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated
by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLSBAL_DB_INTERNAL" - in
"BAL_DB_INTERNAL_NO_UPDATE_TASK".
The main program was "SWNCCOLL ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 64
of the (Include) program "LSBAL_DB_INTERNALU02".
The program "SAPLSBAL_DB_INTERNAL" was started as a background job.
Job Name....... "SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR"
Job Initiator.. "BASIS"
Job Number..... 08893100
The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB" occurred in
procedure "BAL_DB_INTERNAL_NO_UPDATE_TASK" "(FUNCTION)", but it was neither
handled locally nor declared
in the RAISING clause of its signature.
The procedure is in program "SAPLSBAL_DB_INTERNAL "; its source code begins
line
1 of the (Include program "LSBAL_DB_INTERNALU02 ".
System environment
SAP-Release 701
Application server... "appl543"
Network address...... "122.99.01.88"
Operating system..... "AIX"
Release.............. "5.3"
Hardware type........ "099DER88BN90000"
Character length.... 16 Bits
Pointer length....... 64 Bits
Work process number.. 27
Shortdump setting.... "full"
Database server... "appl543"
Database type..... "ORACLE"
Database name..... "Q22"
Database user ID.. "SAPSR3"
=====================================================================================================
Also some jobs are cancelled and they are forming the above dump. the detials are:
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT BASIS Canceled 17.12.2010 00:43:31
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT BASIS Canceled 17.12.2010 02:43:31
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT BASIS Canceled 17.12.2010 03:43:31
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT BASIS Canceled 17.12.2010 04:43:31
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT BASIS Canceled 17.12.2010 05:43:31
SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT BASIS Canceled 17.12.2010 06:43:31
**The cancelled job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT generating the above dump at ST22.**
Please suggest us a solution. Thanks in advance!!!

Edited by: Veerab on Dec 17, 2010 11:33 AM> 1 of the (Include program "LSBAL_DB_INTERNALU02 ".
Try the following:
open http://service.sap.com/notes
Search for "LSBAL_DB_INTERNALU02"

Hi , Is there any Function Module or a way to read the Short Dump generated in ST22 for a particular program.?
I have a Z program running in Background on daily basis. For error Handling , when the program generates a short dump , i want to read the short dump. I tried the FM /SDF/GET_DUMP_LOG .with this i am able to read the runtime error , exception , error short text but i am unable to read the entire log description.
like what happened , what can u do etc which can be viewed in st22.Any Inputs Appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,
John.Hi,
Try FM
"STRUCTURE_DUMP" -- Current contents of internal tables will be printed
RS_SNAP_DUMP_DISPLAY

TIME_OUT in ST22 while loading data
Hello all!
While I load data from ODS-object to an InfoCube, after around 18 minutes I have the first TIME_OUT in ST22. Some seconds later I have the next and then again after 18 minutes and so on. All the time while loading. The loading doesn´t stop.
I found the following statement in ST22:
The program "GP2GCXJX3UPKBEN0B528IGJFPA3 " has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime and has therefore been terminated.
But loading is still running.
This programm is the programm which is generated from the update rules which can be found in the update rules under ->Extras ->Display Activated Programm in the menu there.
I found also the information in ST22 that "rdisp/max_wprun_time" is 1000 seconds (16.66 minutes) which is the max. runtime. I think there is a second chance so the max. runtime should be 2000 seconds.
But I think "rdisp/max_wprun_time" is a parameter for dialog processes and loading over InfoPackage isn´t one as far as I know.
I load as a backround process. I´m loading from ODS and reading in update rules from 2 other ODS-objects. I read around 2 million records. Another IC which is very similar but doesn´t read from the 2nd ODS needs around 1 and a half hour to load.
Can someone please help me?
Thank you,
PeterPeter,
Update rules are processed in foreground and the time out setting applies to all dialog processes. The processing is done one data packet at a time.
If the load is from ODS to InfoCube and is timing out then there is no option but to tune the update rules. Bring down the records that are being read. If your select statement is reading based on the contents of the data packet, then bring down the size of the data packet. THis can be done in the InfoPack in Scheduler --> DataS. Default Data Transfer. In the Max size field try 10000 or even 5000. Number of data pakckets will increase but processing time per packet should be lower.
Another option is to find the ODS PSA request in the PSA Tree. ODS PSA Request number is the request number right before the REQU number in the ODS requests tab. They begin with ODSR.... Find this in the PSA and update to data target from there. This processing is then done in the background and the time out setting does not apply.
If you do not see the request then turn on display generated object from the menu of the admin workbench Settings --> Display Generated Objects
Cheers
Aneesh
