SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE - transfer files to FTP
Our OS is Windows NT.
I am using SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE to execute a script to transfer files from R/3 App Server to FTP Server. I created a command in SM69.
command name: ZZ_MOVE
Operating system: Windows NT
Type: Customer
Operating system command: cmd
Parameters for operating system command: Full path of the batch file
This batch file contain command for transfer the files. I am getting an error..Command not found.....Is this correct parameters i am passing or anything wrong....
It's Windows NT server, it's not Unix system. I want to move files from one folder to another folder in Application server using FM SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE.
I have the Script (for moving files from one folder to another in Application Server). I pasted the script in notepad and saved as .bat file and dropped in Application server source folder. I gave the Application server file path(Script file location) in command create(Parameters for operating system command) in SM49.
Operating system command
cmd
Parameters for operating system command
C:\usr\sap\work\300\testftp.bat
Does it work this way ? I executed the command without errors but the file transfer not happening.....
My question Is does it works if i pass the Script file location in Command create ? if not how can i do this.....

Large Files from FTP to Azure Storage Account.
We required to transfer files from FTP to Azure Storage Account.
Our FTP contains Almost 4 TB data and in future it will be growing.
We require some automate process which will transfer data from FTP to Windows Azure Storage.
Currently Implemented Solution: We have created
a windows service which will download files from FTP and converting to file stream and with Blob Storage object it will be uploaded to
Storage account.
With the mentioned approach bandwidth is utilized at 2 places
For downloading file from FTP
For Uploading to Azure Storage
Can you please provide any solution/suggestion which will reduce the consumption of bandwidth and large data will transfer in less timeHi,
Please have a look at below article, it is talking about Blob Transfer Utility tool. Blob Transfer Utility is a GUI tool to upload and download thousands of small/large files to/from Windows Azure Blob Storage.
Disclaimer: This is not a Microsoft official tool and it is not supported by Microsoft. It's just a (very useful) sample.

File transfer: AFP vs FTP
Setup:
Cable modem to Linksys WRT54g broadcasting only in G only mode for PBG4.
AEBSn#1 in bridge mode via Ethernet from Linksys, N only mode, broadcasting wirelessly.
AEBSn#2 is wirelessly extending N-only from AEBSn#1, and is connected to a mini with external hard drive.
Using PBG4, if I mount a volume from the mini and transfer a file, transfer time is very slow: approx. 20 minutes for a 200MB file. If I FTP from PBG4 into the mini, transfer time is 2 minutes.
(I think the same happens if I use a Macbook Pro connected to the N-only network, but it's in for repairs right now, so I can't be sure.)
Any idea why the transfer times are so different b/w AFP and FTP and, more importantly, what I can do to remedy this? Thanks.Same problem here. I have two AEBS Gigabit in bridge mode. Transfering a file via FTP or with Apple Remote Access (ARD) brings up to 3 MB/sec. Same file and same configuration connected via AFP only brings 60 kB/sec.
I hope somebody has an idea how to fix this.
Thanks in advance -

bobbyCREATE CONTROLFILE
Caution:
Oracle recommends that you perform a full backup of all files in the database before using this statement. For more information, see Oracle9i User-Managed Backup and Recovery Guide.
Purpose
Use the CREATE CONTROLFILE statement to re-create a control file in one of the following cases:
All copies of your existing control files have been lost through media failure.
You want to change the name of the database.
You want to change the maximum number of redo log file groups, redo log file members, archived redo log files, datafiles, or instances that can concurrently have the database mounted and open.
Note:
If it is necessary to use the CREATE CONTROLFILE statement, do not include in the DATAFILE clause any datafiles in temporary or read-only tablespaces. You can add these types of files to the database later.
An alternative to the CREATE CONTROLFILE statement is ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE, which generates a SQL script in the trace file to re-create the controlfile. If your database contains any read-only or temporary tablespaces, that SQL script will also contain all the necessary SQL statements to add those files back into the database.

How do i transfer files between two macs over the net (FTP)
Hi,
Couldn't find a thread like this, apologies if its been discussed already recently, I'm trying to enable two iMacs both Intel, both running 10.4.10 to be able to swap files (quite large 350MB) over the net just using Tiger.
We both have .Mac accounts but the files only upload properly to our iDisk 1 out of 3 times and its getting annoying, I basically want my mate to be able to drag a file off my HD onto his via the net using no other programs just Tiger, is this possible?
If not, what's the best free program to use.
ThanksYou'll have to get an FTP client as the Finder only reads, not writes to an FTP server. I can't suggest a free one. You will also need to open your computers up to the world. If you don't know how to do that, search for Port Forwarding and your particular router. You'll have to open up port 21 for FTP.
Plain old FTP is not very secure, so you shouldn't leave it open all the time. SFTP is Secure FTP, and you can use Fugu to use it. You'll still need to set up Port forwarding, but you can pick whatever port number you want. Fugu lets you pick the port number. You should set up standard users on each machine and make a sftpTransfer folder in the /Users/Shared/ folder. This will allow each of you to access the files. sftp allows anyone to see the directory structure, but still maintains the permissions from OS X. So, as standard users, you can look into each other's Home folder, but you won't be able to get into the subfolders or transfer files to or from any unshared locations.
By the way, I wrote an entire post describing how to use sftp from the command line before I decided to look for a client app for you. Then I found Fugu and changed it all.
Edit:
I forgot to mention you must turn on Remote Login in the sharing pane, and you'll have to use port 22 as this is the only one Mac OS allows remote connections on.

CRIO FTP transfer file size limit
Hi,
I generated a data file on my cRIO that is about 2.1 GB in size. I'm having trouble transferring this file off of the cRIO using FTP. I've tried windows explorer FTP, the built in MAX file transfer utility, coreFTP,and WinSCP. I am able to transfer other files on the cRIO that are smaller in size.
Is there an FTP transfer file size limit? Is it around 2 GB? Is there anything I can do to get this file off of the device?
Thanks!
Solved!
Go to Solution.I am not making the FTP transfer programmatically through LabVIEW. Rather, I am trying to utilize the cRIO's onboard FTP server to make the file transfer using off the shelf Windows FTP file transfer applications. I generate the data file by sampling the cRIO's analog inputs and recording to the onboard drive. I transfer the file at some point after the fact; whenever is convenient.
To program the cRIO, I am using LabVIEW 2012 SP1 and the corresponding versions of Real-Time and FPGA. I am using a cRIO-9025 controller and 9118 chassis.
I do not get any error messages from any of the FTP clients I have tried besides a generic "file transfer failed".
I have had no issues transferring files under 2 GB using FTP clients. I have tried up to 1.89 GB files. The problem seems to only appear when the file is greater than 2 GB in size.
I have found some information elsewhere online that some versions of the common Apache web server do not support transferring files greater than 2 GB. Does anyone know what kind of FTP server the cRIO-9025 runs? -
Using JCA FTP and File Adapters to transfer files as attachments
I am trying to develop a flow that picks a file up using the JCA FTP adapter and writes it using the JCA File Adapter. I can get this to work using opaqeElement but the issue I have is that the files that will be transferred are regularly very large > 1 GB and using the opaqueElement simply results in a OutOfMemoryException.
Reading the Adapter documentation it seems that Reading/Writing file as an attachment may be an answer. I therefore did the following.
. Created FTP Read and File Write adapters in JDeveloper
. Inmported this in to OEPE
. Created Proxy Service and Business Service and wired them together
The problem i am having is that even though there is no error and the file is being read on the FTP server, the resulting file only contains that attachment details, the file is not a copy of the file that was picked up from the ftp server.
I am assuming that this behaviour is not correct and that the file should be transferred in its entirity. Unfortunatly the documentation is not very detailed and I cannot find any examples on the internet.
Can anyone offer any advice or even better suggest where I can find an example.
Regards

</wsdl:definitions>System resources are finite and have a threshold limit for processing. The Oracle SOA Suite, dependent on system resources, also has certain size limitations, largely due to the underlying resources beyond which the system cannot process incoming requests.
For example, Oracle JCA Adapters can process large payloads but the Oracle BPEL PM consumes huge memory when processing large payloads, which can cause OutOfMemory conditions and affect the whole system.
You can try File ChunkedRead option. This will read your large CSV file in chunks so chances of memory out will be less. You can define your own chunk size.
This is a feature of Oracle File and FTP Adapters that uses an invoke activity within a while loop to process the target file. This feature enables you to process arbitrarily
large files. See below link's section "4.5.5 Oracle File Adapter ChunkedRead"

How to send a file from FTP to external server
My requirement is to send a file from FTP to D3(External) server.
Now I am able to store the file in Appln server.
I want to send the file created by the program thru FTP to D3 server.
I know the username,Password,HostID,RFC destination details.
How to send the file from FTP to D3.
If u have any program,Plz send it...
I dont want the function modules name...I want the example code ....
Thanks in advance.Hi Sumi,
You could do it so that you create a .bat or .cmd script to your server which does your ftp transfer.
To do this you must use sm69 to create a external operating system command which you can call from FM SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE. To SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE you the file you need to transfer as a parameter.
What happens is that your abap program passes the file to windows batch script (.bat .cmd) which will then do the transfer for you.
Here's a sample of ftp-script for windows:
echo open IP_ADDRESS_TO_YOUR_SERVER > c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo USERNAME>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo PASSWORD>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo put YOUR_FILE>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp
echo quit>> c:zftp_transfer.ftp
ftp -s:c:zftp_transfer.ftp
also take a look here for more details:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=96269
Ok, this might be a bit trivial but if your server is unix/aix etc.. Instead of using batch script you must do a shell script.

No Data in PDF file in FTP server
Hi All,
I am trying to place a PDF file in FTP server.
Used
CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF to convert spool to PDF
SCMS_TEXT_TO_XSTRING
FTP_R3_TO_SERVER to transfer data to FTP.
I am able to see PDF file in FTP and no of pages matches with that of R/3 but there is no data in PDF file.To get pdf file , you need to set the itcpo-tdgetotf = 'X' and need to pass in the exporting parameter (options in open_form function module ).Then in close_form function module take all the data of otfdata table into an internal table . Then use SX_OBJECT_CONVERT_OTF_PDF function module to convert it to pdf.

How to transfer files Pages docs in bulk from iPad to Mac
Since the lovely iCloud Drive came out and Yosemite, things have been woefully out of sync with my iPad. I've posted in a number of places on these boards and even, according to a rep I've been in touch with from Apple Support, an engineer is troubleshooting the problem. I have a LOT of Pages docs I've accumulated in iCloud on my iPad. I cannot access iCloud through a browser or on my desktop Mac. In other words, I can view and edit files from my iPad, but I canNOT do the same on my Mac. If I want to transfer files from my iPad the only way I can think of is
Open Pages
Tap the arrow up at the top
Tap send a copy
Tap ONE selected document
Tap what format to send it in (sadly, I'm using Word b/c I don't trust Pages anymore)
Tap selection of how to send (to ITunes)
Only then can I go to iTunes on my Mac and transfer the file. I have probably hundreds of docs I want and need and can't afford to have them floating semi-available in the cloud or lost forever.
A few other details:
- I cannot access Pages in iCloud through a browser (any browser, any machine, anywhere; I've tried every combination possible, when I log into iCloud and go to Pages, it cycles and then dumps me out to the login screen)
- I have a few third-party apps which let me look into my iPad and have slightly more functionality than iTunes permits, but none of them permit wholesale basic drag-and-drop a bunch of files and save to another drive. I know this is b/c the files are ostensibly in iCloud, but
- Here are other places I've posted about this problem
can't log in to iCloud.com
Pages under Yosemite not in sync with iCloud Drive and other issues
Thanks in advance.....Though no one replied to this topic, I'm updating with what I've learned after spending many hours on the phone with an Apple tech rep who had esacalated to engineers. There is NO solution. Docs that are out of sync or unretrievable from iCloud or iCloud Drive, they cannot assist with. They offered to wipe my iCloud Drive account and reset it, but I wanted them to restore it afterwards. Just a simple, pull the data off, dump it on an FTP server so I can access it. Nope. No assistance. Not their problem. I have to manually pull ALL the files off my iPad's iCloud account, the ones I can get to and go through this insane 6 step process to get to those docs. Really disappointed with Apple. Using MS Word on the iPad and though not perfect...at least the Pages docs won't be lost.
