Syclo Server Integration with File Repository

Hi All,
Is it possible to integrate the Syclo Server with File Repository (like FileNet ) ??? In order to download/get the documents from restricted access, how it will be achieved via Syclo Server(using File System).

We will get the location of the document, where it is residing. But, before accessing File Net requires user authentication. So is it possible to re-authenticate that user in File Net system.
As I know, each connection is having its own authentication mechanism, but, normally we use only one authentication mechanism at the time. I just want to know, whether it could be possible to use multiple authentication at the time.
If so, please let me know the steps.

We recently migrated to Office365 but had an issue since we need more than 16 simultaneous connections to a single mailbox. Because of this, we need to deploy a local Exchange Server that will be used to host a single mailbox that requires up to 500 simultaneous
connections for a Contact Center application. I'm looking for information on how to setup the local Exchange Server to basically create a local instance of a mailbox hosted on Office 365. So we can have our application open the numerous simultaneous connections
to our local server which will then connection to Office 365 to send/receive email through the mailbox hosted on Office365.

Lync Server Integration with Exchange 2013

Hello,
I have Exchange 2013 standard edition server installed and running successfully on a Windows 2012 machine. Now, I would like to have a Lync 2013 server integrated with it. I came across some links telling that its not possible to integrate Unified Messaging
in the Exchange standard edition and would need an Enterprise edition license. But, when I checked my ECP, I could see that UM is already there and its enabled.
So, Is it possible to integrate Lync 2013 with Exchange 2013 standard edition? What all things I need to take care of while Integrating? If someone could shed some light on this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can integrate Lync 2013 with Exchange 2013 Standard, the only big difference between Exchange 2013 Standard vs Enterprise is the number of mailbox databases (5 vs 50).

Having said that, the confusion may be related to User CALs. You need Exchange Enterprise User CALs to use the Unified Messaging components. (I believe they still work regardless, but
to be properly licensed and compliant you need to have the correct number of Enterprise CALs for the number of users that use UM)

Event Server Integration with other Products

I have been using the EDA approch in my SOA project for few years now. These were based on JMS and other modes of Events supported by the WLI, BPM products. Now we have a dedicated Event processing server can we expect utilities/UI components that would easE the integration with other BEA products? What is the time frame for the avilability for this as well as the console for the Wev server?

as i know, usually when the error appear, you need to check the member.
The domain group that was specified the Secure Store Service ID ProjectServerApplication did not have any members in the group.
and please also have a try in a testing secure store service application:
Created new secure store service application with new target application ID. and added this ID in excel service application -----global settings----Application ID.
went to Central admin---manage web application---selected web application ---click on Service Connection---associated newly created secure store service application.
edited data connection string of excel file.
went to site and tried refresh that excel file and able to refresh the file.

MS Commerce Server integration with SAP CRM (incl. Middleware question)

We're investigating on how to possibly connect a MS eCom solution (MS Commerce Server) to a SAP CRM backend.
With the correct middleware and some Bapi's this would probably be do-able solution I guess, but does anyone have info on standard setups for this?
- Standard Bapi's to use?
- Middleware to be used (will XI do it all or do we need a 3th party middleware solution)?
- Are any of the standard MS eCom screens aligned with what's in the SAP Badi's?
- What about pricing information - is the info returning from the IPC valid for MS eCom display?

JMS adapter IBM MQ Server integration with SSL

We have a integration between PI and IBM Websphere MQ,normally we can able to do this with JMS adapter.
But MQ Server side is using SSL and they will send us a certificate, so we need to communicate JMS and MQ queue and JMS does not support SSL directly.
i have done some searches in sdn but i can't find a good guide or explained solve.
i will be very appriciated for any help or idea about this issue.

Can you please endorse if the following activities are needed to perform for its implementation
1. Using MS EPM SDK, create mapping data (XML)
2. Windows Synchronization Service to detect changes in MS EPM
3. SAP PI / XI for web-services
4. BAPIs to update SAP PS project
The same goes to sync SAP PS with MS EPM in reverse order.
Plus, is there standard implementation document available as provided to integrate MS EPM with cProjects?
There are many forum posts for which all replies are related to knowledge sharing, possibility and idea sharing. I don't find any post related to its actual implementation.

I have gone to the Central Configuration Manger and it all of the servers running except for input file repository server and output file repository server. When I start those two servers it goes right back to stopped. Now I checked the event viewer for errors and these to errors show up.

Now to give a bit of a back story as to what happened before this. We were having a issue logging into the domain on this machine. The only way to get passed this was to unjoin and rejoin it to the domain then this happened. When I try to go to the CMC using the admin launch page I get the following error.

BI 4.0 File repository server

Hi,
In BI 4.0, Input file repository server and ouptut file repository server, the servers are in the running mode but the HEALTH is in red state . how to make HEALTH to Green state. even i have restarted the server but it still in Red state only. whether the File repository server is down, if it is in red state. can anyone help on this. for this reason, i am not able to open the migrated webi report. it shows "The document cannot be retrieved from the File Repository Server. (WIS 30951) (Error: INF )" error

Hi,
Please check if you have changed the FRS path if yes make sure the FRS path is correct and exists.
You can do that by logging into CMC --> Servers --> Input/Output File Repository server properties.

It depends on the API of your application.
- Basic integration could be a dynalic SSO-Link in a simple provider.
- Some apps via Netlet to remote access the application(wold/excel ...)
- ERP/CRM integration via WSDL or XML/JSP proxy

Integrating existing file server with EP6SP9

we are implementing EP6 SP9 portal for our SBU and we need to integrate our existing file server with portal in which we can upload documents and download existing documents.
do we need to use content management to access this file server using the file system repository manager or it can be done in some other way
If theres an alternate way to do this, kindly explain what needs to be done.

yes, CM is the software to use for this. you could, in principle, go without CM and code the neccessary stuff on your own. But: The more funcionality you desire (think of: additional properties, search functionality, versioning ...), the more sense using CM makes. Plus you get all required user interfaces (like a repository browser) for free.

JCO3: NullPointerException unregistering server with custom repository

I have a JCO 2 project running on a J2EE server that we ported over to JCO3, and the ultimate issue is that when I
stop the JCoServer in the application, it's throwing a null pointer exception. Seemingly because the JCoServers
are in a higher classloader, they are still there on restart, and then I get the NullPointerException trying to
recreate the server as well. I very well may be doing something totally wrong here...
I'm creating the Data Provider, Repository, and Server as follows:

So...the first issue is this: if I set ServerDataProvider.JCO_REP_DEST to anything, the program won't run because
it looks for the repository host connection info in a text file with that name, just like the example code does.
According to the javadoc, custom repositories don't have a destination, so it seems this property should be NULL.
Yet if I leave that property null, it works fine...until I need to stop the server (or, I get the same error when
the above code runs again on restart, as the JCoServerFactory.getServer code runs in both places - tries to refresh
a server that survived the restart as it failed to shut down due to the error).
For completeness, the shutdown code essentially reads:

needs to (seemingly) be null for my program to run at all.
Any insights on how to fix this / work around this would be greatly appreciated!

Your RFC server program provides an implementation for your own ServerDataProvider. If you reference a repository destination the default DestinationDataProvider implemented will look for a file name with the repository and extension .jcoDestination. If you don't like this behavior you simply need to provide your own implementation and register it, same as you did for the server data.
According to the javadoc, custom repositories don't have a destination, so it seems this property should be NULL.
Not sure where you found this. I'm assuming that you're talking about com.sap.conn.jco.JCoCustomRepository, which can of course be backed by a destination, i.e. see the comments in method setDestination:

If the requested meta data objects are not available in the repository cache, i.e. not set by the application, the remote query to the specified destination will be started. Default value is null meaning the remote queries are not allowed.
Note: As soon the destination is provided, the repository can contain mixed meta data - set statically by the application and requested dynamically from the ABAP backend.</div>
I usually prefer using a connection to a backend providing the meta data instead of hard coding the meta data insertion into a custom repository. As the data is cached this introduces an acceptable overhead for retrieving meta data for long running server programs.
Anyhow, when you create your custom repository via JCo.createCustomRepository(java.lang.String name) you obviously must give it a name. That's the name I'd expect in the server data as a reference for your repository (property ServerDataProvider.JCO_REP_DEST). However, if your custom repository is not backed by a complete online repository you obviously have to ensure that all meta data is already provided.
So for testing it might be interesting to see if adding a JCoDestination to your custom repository helps. Another option might be to enable tracing and see what goes wrong...

Exchange Integration with MSX-A on a Windows 2003 Server

We try to integrate Microsoft Exchange (Version 2003 SP1) into SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SR1. The MSX-A components are installed on the OWA System, a different Windows 2003 System with Outlook XP (SP3) on it.
The error displayed in the Calendar iView on the Portal:
"An internal error occurred while generating the XML from the MSX-A component"
From the "SAP EP Test Exchange Transport Setup" Tool an error occures on the "Data Retrieval" Test:
"An error occurred retrieving the data."
and in detail:
MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED(80040111)
MS KBase http://support.microsoft.com/kb/181739/en-us didn't help. To resolution 3: Policy "Log on Locally" on a Windows 2003 doesn't exist anymore (?). "Deny Log on Locally" isn't given to relevant groups.

These documents describe the entire process of integrating Exchange server with enterprise portal server to leverage the usage of lotus notes within the portal framework.
Step1: Create a System
o     Choose System AdministrationSystem configurationSystem LandscapePortal ContentContent Provided by SAP. Right click on collaboration and then choose New From ParSystem.
o     Select com.sap.netweaver.col.app.gw and choose next.
o     Select a server (Microsoft Exchange server) and then choose next.
o     Enter the System Name and ID (for ex Exchange) and choose next and then finish.
o     Enter System Aliases by choosing system Alias from the display drown list.
o     Enter the system Alias in the alias field and choose add and then save.
Step II: Create E-Mail Transport
     The email transport defines the SMTP server and other configuration required for sending e-mails. To configure an e-mail transport choose

     SMTP Sever: The address of the SMTPServer for sending e-mails

Step III: Check E-Mailing Service
This is a global service that is required for sending e-mails and which can be   located by choosing System AdministrationSystem configurationKnowledge ManagementContent ManagementGlobal servicesMailing Service. This service needs to be active and an email transport must already have been created.
Microsoft Exchange Transports
The overall transport consists of two parts: MSX-J on the portal server and the MSX-A on the Exchange Server or a machine near to the Exchange Server.
MSX-J is the java part that runs on the portal server is deployed automatically on the portal server during installation, and implements the groupware API.It uses the Groupware APIs and repository development kit.
MSX-A is the active server page and sap exchange connector.dll running on a n iis server with Microsoft Collaboration data objects (CDO) and in the same domain as the exchange server or in a trusting domain .The ASP and DLL are Collectively CALLED MSX-A and is installed as part of the Outlook Installation. This needs to be installed on every IIS SERVER dedicated to the MS Exchange Server
    The Process flow is
1.TheMSX_J transport makes an HTTP(s) call to the MSX_A running on the IIS.
2.Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) uses Basic Authentication to authenticate user based on NT user/password against the Microsoft Exchange Server.
3.CDO uses the authentication token and fetches the data.
4.MSX-A converts the data into XMl and returns it to MSX-J
Installation of MSXA Components
You have to carry out these steps for every IIS that accesses the exchange server or the Outlook WEB Access 5.5 SP Server in the system landescape:
1.Locate the MSX-A component shipped with Exchange transport.
The components can be found in<irj>\root\WEB-INF\PORTAL\PORTALAPPS\com.sap.netweaver.coll.appgw\WEB INF\external\Exchange.
2 Locate an IIS that is in the same domain as the Exchange Server or in a trusted domain.
3.Create a folder on the IIS for example,c:\SAPExchangeTransport.
4.Copy the MSX-A Components to the folder you just created.
5.Register the DLL by using command regsrvr32 in the command prompt for example c:\winnt\sysytem32\regsvr32.exe c:\SAPExchangeTransport\SapExchangeConnector.dll
6.Create a new Iis Website or if using Outlook Web Access 5.5 sp4 create a virtual directory
Since most of configuration errors arise in the setup and configuration of the MSX-A components a separate test application is shipped with the connectivity, which allows you to check that the setup is correct.
1.locate SAPPXchTest.exe which is shipped with the exchange transports.The components can be found at <irj>\root\portalapps\com.sap.netweaver.coll.appl.gw\external\exchange.
2 copy the executable file to the machine on which the MSX-A component has been deployed.
3.Test the CDO version by launching the executable file on the machine on which msx-a was deployed.Choose Test CDO-Version .You should receive a success message .if you recive an error message follow the instructions given
4Test data retrieval by launching the executable file on the machine on which MSX-A was deployed choose TestData Retrieval Fill in necessary fields you should receive a success message but if you receive an error message follow the instructions given
5.Choose Save Results
6.open the log file indicted by the message

<b>Constraints</b>
Constraints of Microsoft Exchange Connectivity
     The Microsoft Exchange transport currently only support items with types appointment and meeting request .Other types such as discussion and not currently not supported.
     Deleting an instance of a recurring appointment affects only that particular instance
     Calendar items in personal folder are not supported. Users can only view and modify items located on the exchange server from the iviews
     Public folders on the exchange server are not supported
     Calendar items are delivered as such if sent to recipients within the intranet .If the recipients is in different domain than the sender ,the format in which the items are delivered depends on the server responsible for sending the item in question
