Symantec Class 3 Secure Server CA - G4
Even though I include this in the configuration profile, it still shows as not verified and the user always has to click Accept. I need to avoid that step using the configuration profiles for iPads. The cert 'Symantec Class 3 Secure Server CA - G4' is not currently listed in the IOS list of trusted certs but that shouldn't matter because I'm installing it manually via configuration profile. So what else am I missing? The cert is installed but they still have to click accept when connecting to the SSID.

Verisign announced a new CA certificate in October 2010, Verisign Class 3 Secure Server G3. When will this be included in the CA list of the browser? It is in other browsers already (IE, Safari, etc), yet in Firefox you're currently prompted with a security warning for a trusted CA.
That is one of the intermediate certificates that VeriSign is using. Intermediate certificates are part of the chain that is formed by the web server certificates and build-in root certificates. Such an intermediate certificate needs to be send by the server and is not included by default in Firefox. Firefox will store such an intermediate certificate for future use when a website sends it.

Hallo
We recently purchased a certificate from Symantec. It's intermediate authority is Symantec Class 3 EV SSL CA - G2, but Mozilla firefox doesn't seem to trust it. Other browsers (IE and Chrome) have the certificate chain trusted. Is there a way to add this certificate chain in Firefox, because many of our clients using Firefox are complaining and asking about our site's security.hello JKlecherov, firefox shouldn't give any error, when the intermediary certificate is properly linked to the root ca. please refer to symantec's documentation how to install it on your server or you can also use their tool at https://ssltools.websecurity.symantec.com/checker/views/certCheck.jsp

Advanced Security Server /Entrust-enabled SSL
We are expermenting to configure Advanced Security Server to work with Entrust. I had a quick look on Oracle 9i Advanced Security Server /Administrators Guide, and found a lot more detailed instructions about configuring Entrust-enabled SSL.. In addition, there are samples of how sqlnet.ora will look like. The question: Can we use 9i manual to configure Entrust-enabled SSL for Oracle 817? If we can't use the 9i manual, is there any addendum document to the Chapter 10-Enabling Entrust
Authentication in Oracle8i Advanced Security Administrators Guide, other than CR #281745 ....
nullHi Justin,
The Visual Basic application software uses Oracle OLEDB Provider 9.2.0.7.0
We use various classes available in OLEDB for acessing the database. For example, the connection string looks like the following:
Provider=oraoledb.oracle; data source=oraserve; user id=myuserid; password=mypasswd;
The application uses ADODB objects to access data.
Hope this clarifies

I WISH I HAD NOT UPGRADED...THIS IS A NIGHTMARE. I need to sync my appointment scheduler that is embedded in my website to my ical (which was easily done through publishing with the previous version) since I have upgraded I dont have the option to publish...but can add the cal DAV account, which I tried to do but I get a "Calendar couldn't log in to the CalDAV server “webdav.skedge.me”." error message if I go through edit ccount> add other account in system prefereneces otherwise I get a not secure server warning that will not continue when I select continue if I simply try to add an account using the + sign options at the bottom left of the systems preference pop up window
found a potenital fix (that I think would work if I could understand how to do what they are telling me to do) it said to configure webdav sharing for active directory accounts...tried to follow the instructions...could not understand them (very techy instructions).
FYI to any one that may find it in thier heart to answer this...I AM NOT COMPUTER LITERATE I am a veterinarian not a computer programer...so please but things in terms I can understand...i dont know what root access or server admin means...I dont know how to edit config files or even open directories with terminal ...i dont know what pico is or how to open it on my computer. Thanks
If know one can help can someone please tell me how to un-upgrade..this *****!
thanks

You can retrieve the certificate and check who issued the certificate and other details like when it is valid.
* Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

Dear Forum,
we are developing portlets for Portal 3.0.9.8. We use the default JPDK version, that comes with the standalone Oracle OC4J 9.0.4 bundled with PDK.
We want to improve our portlet by check the userid of the portal user. Therefore, we want to use oracle.portal.provider.v2.ProviderUser.getUser().getName()
in a JSP.
First - even before the method call - we included
<%@ page import="oracle.portal.provider.v2.http.ServletProviderUser" %>
But even this 1 statement gives in JDeveloper 9.0.4 with the libs pdkjava and ptlshare from the OC4J the following error:
Error: cannot access class oracle.security.jazn.realm.RealmUser; file oracle\security\jazn\realm\RealmUser.class not found
What is wrong here? What missing library we must include?
Thank You in advanceProblem solved. Need to include jazn.jar in project's lib-paths.

Cocoon2 weblogic (5.1 sp6) class loader security problem
Hello folks,
System:
Cocoon: v2.0
JDK: Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.0-C),
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.0-C, mixed mode)
OS: NT4 SP5
Servlet: v2.2
AppServer: Weblogic 5.1 SP6
Symptoms:
I've updated our application from Cocoon 1.7.4 to Cocoon2. After I
figured out what libraries I need on the Weblogic's classpath, I managed
to envoke the MyServlet (MyServlet extends CocoonServlet). The technique
I am using is the one I used with the Cocoon v1.7.4: extend Cocoon
servlet and wrap the HttpServletRequest in MyRequest to provide the XML
content. I changed the line <map:generators default="request"> in
sitemap.xmap to specify the location of the source. Configuration files
seem to be read correctly and the file
<myWebAppContext>/WEB-INF/_tmp_war/org/apache/cocoon/www/sitemap_xmap.java
is generated (but there is no class file generated)!
I looked at the cocoon.log file and looks like a class loader security
problem: the \WEB-INF\_tmp_war gets locked! Is there any workaround this
problem? Any help is much appreciated!

================================================================
Regards,
GeorgiHello folks,
Is there any workaround this
problem? Any help is much appreciated!
cocoon.log file generated:

Certificates from Oracle Security Server
Hi everyone
Has anyone been able to genereate a certificate using the Oracle Security Server (OSS) and been able to use that to set up a HTTP listener to use SSL with that?
If so, how????
OAS documentation goes on and on about how to install a certificate from a known CA, but forgets to document it's own OSS.
Please help.
Regards Gerard.John,
I appreciate you asking around...FYI, I found reference to Oracle Security Server in Metalink...but couldn't attach it to a version of Oracle or another product!
Thanks,
Ed -
Where is this class: oracle.jbo.server.EntityImpl
Does anyone know what jar file contains the following classes:
oracle.jbo.server.EntityImpl
oracle.jbo.server.AttributeDefImpl
Thanks!

[email protected]It's bc4jmt.jar in BC4J\lib. "mt" probably stands for "middle tier".

How to Supress secured server alert
I am having problem in suppressing the alert "you will be displayed both secured and non secured items" which comes up when a page is submitted to a secured server. Does someone has the code for the same?
It seems to be a browser issue, not a Java issue...

Cannot Connect to App Store / Establish Secure Server Connection
I've seen a lot of posts on this:
App Store Error: "Cannot Connect to the App Store" (No Internet Connection)
Google (or any other https://) Site Error: "Cannot Establish a Secure Server Connection"
My OS is 10.8.5.
Obviously, I've checked that I have an internet connection. FireFox works... non-secure (http://) sites work... I'm starting to pull my hair out.
These are all suggestions from posts that I've seen. Some worked for some people, but not me!
I've checked that my Date & Time are correct, as suggested.
I've created a new Network Location in my Network System Prefs. Nope. Didn't help.
I've gone thru every Certificate in my Utilities / Keychain Access and eliminated all the blue '+'s'.
I've deleted every *.plist file from my Preferences that I thought might help. Nada. Still no App Store, no Google.
THEN, a Mac epiphany:
Go back to Date & Time Preferences
Under the Date & Time tab - check the box "Set date and time automatically:" (you probably do. I did. But make sure.)
Under the Time Zone tab - check the box "Set time zone automatically..." AHH HA! I didn't have it checked.
Now a message comes up - something like, you don't have your Location Services enabled... hmm.
Go to: System Prefs > Security & Privacy
Under the Privacy tab - check the box "Enable Location Services" (You may have to unlock [paddlelock in lower left] to make changes)
That did it. App Store instantly loaded as well as https:// google.
For those who have tried all the other posted suggestions - before you pull the rest of your hair out - this is one more thing to try.
Hope it helps.Ignore.
