There are already several threads on here about Mac compatibility with the N97 series. Have a look through them to see if anyone has found a work-around.
You'd be best advised to check compatibility of products with Macs before buying as they don't seem particularly well supported by anyone, especially Nokia.
Although they are working on a Mac version of Ovi Suite 2, I doubt it's on anyones list of priorities.

Available colours for N97 Mini

I was about to purchase a N97 Mini, however the retailer I was going to buy it from offered it to me in White or Pink. According to the official Nokia website, the N97 Mini is only available in Garnet (the coffee brown colour) and Cherry Black.
Are there more than these two colours avilable? I do not want to purchase an illegal product!!

Special editions are released for a variety of reasons, such as a local company's promotions act of some sort for example. These special edition phones often have special apps which come with it alone. These apps are embedded into the firmware. Now because of that, these special edition phones require a specific firmware for it, as they have a different product code from the generic phones. I am not sure how this works, but AFAIK the special edition phones only receive firmware either when the company which chartered the release of the special edition requests for it, or approves the release of the product's firmware update.

Emergency charger for n97 mini

I'm looking for an emergency charger and I have found a Phillips (sce 2110) that could be usefull except I don't know if could be right for the n97 mini . Someone has used it? What about the connector and the power, it's enought to charge the phone battery?

Latest facebook for n97 mini - Ovi site driving me...

lost the facebook app for the n97 mini.
Tried in vain for 2 days now to complete simple task of going to Ovi store and downloading...to no avail
Can anyone email me the inst. file to [email protected] or post a link to somewhere online ( other than OVI store) where i can Dl this?
Everytime i try to dl it either freezes or says my login details are incorrect

Samsung Jet is a feature phone, and you have a smartphone. A feature phone usually does not have all these kind of troubles because it is a closed system wherein there is very little things we could do to alter the way it runs. A smartphone on the other hand is more open, and a wrong installation, or other factors could cause problems.
For a more general fix, since we do not know what the possible causes of your phone's general slowing down, you could do a reset to factory settings. type in *#7780# on your dialler. This will not delete any data, but it is advisable to do a backup of everything except settings.
Please return if there be anymore problems. Also please say if you have a memory card installed in your phone, or do you remember doing anything before the problem, such as installing an app or a firmware update.

MTP USB Drive Failed for N97 Mini

Hello.
As titled, my N97 Mini is not connecting to my computer (Windows 7 ultimate 64bit).
Phone Software Version 11.0.104.
Can anyone help? please
i tried taking the memory card out, but realising that there is another mass storage inside the phone.

Solved by repairing installation of Nokia Suite. I'm using version 3.3 of nokia suite on a windows 7 ultimate operating system. Needed this step to update firmware.After many attempts I finally overcame this problem by going to control panel>uninstall a program>scroll to nokia suite>select uninstall/change>dialog asks if you want to repair or uninstall>select repair.
*Please make sure of the fllg:
>phone must be on
>MUST be connected in PC Suite mode - If your phone tries to connect to internet or wlan, keep hitting cancel till it asks you to select (PC Suite) mode.
>Windows may try to install drivers and you'll see MTP usb device installation Failed - ignore for now
>Make sure the internet connection on your PC is active
>NOW do the repair-install as described above
>During repair windows will again install your device drivers, and this time you should be good to go
Hope this helps someone, and saves them the many hours I took to get this right.

Nokia Ovi Suite for N97 mini?

Today, i tried to download Ovi suite for my N97 mini but only PC Suite software is available for mini. Is that correct?
So for mini, i can only download and use PC Suite?
Any input?

Can Sync with PC Suite for N97 Mini

Strange problem : I can not sync my phone N97 Mini with my PC Suite : Connected phones is not supported by PC Sync.
But via PC Suite I can connect to my phone to download my picture, I can make backup of my phone, when someone call me, a pop up appear on the screen of my PC.
But I can not open calendar, contacts or message folder.
Can you help me on this, please.

If you want a reply from Nokia then you have to ask Nokia, not post a question on a forum populated by other users of Nokia products like yourself.
The general consensus among users here is, however, that the N97 and N97 mini are abandoned products. They've not been updated since July and August 2010 respectively.
On the other hand, I did recently see a page on a Nokia site saying that some piece or other of software that they were pushing did require PR2.x (V2x) on the N97 mini and PR3.x (V3x) on the N97 to work correctly. Would Nokia be releasing software that will never run on phones because the required firmware will never be released? It would be a bit stupid, although I wouldn't put it past them.

Wlan stop working for N97 Mini

I saw when I check the connection that it show message active/and after while in active and so on

Another thing, I can still get the mac address from the phone by dialing *#62209526#.

Any Nokia USB charger with the same microusb plug should work. Alternatively you could also use a Nokia CA-146 adaptor with almost any other Nokia charger.

Another option is to get the CA-101 USB cable and charge it from the USB port of a pc or laptop.

Internet live radio for n97 mini

Hi,
Does anyone know if any decent (and free ?) live webradio application exists for nokia touchscreen phones ? I have just looked everywhere on the web but have not find anything ! This is amazing, one can find many webradio applications for iphones and android mobiles but nothing for nokia touch ! I am a 10 years Nokia fan so Nokia please be carfull otherwise it can be the beginning of the end if such basic applications are not developped !

I found today S60 Internet radio app, google on S60InternetRadio_240_20100215_50.sisx, but I can email it also. It is a small app without unwanted features. I tried also TuneWiki, too many functions for my purpose, then I used LCG Jukebox, that one is not for free ;-(
Disadvantage of the attached player is that you need to prepare a .pls file at your PC.

N97 mini firmware update seriously needed

hi all,
Its been ages of waiting for a new update for the N97 and N97 mini, one which would do at least the following:
(1) better UI
(2) new and better browser with the latest flash support
(3) freer space on the RAM
(4) a social app for IM like facebook, twitter, myspace e.t.c
(5) smileys in our Instant messaging (fed up with words like smileysad)
(6) a UI that wouldnt use up batteries so fast

But as you said for chat 2.5 and the firmware update its till further notice. Please give heed to our plight and give us specific date and schedule as you have done for PR 1.1 & 1.2 for symbian ^3 devices.

OK friends, last Sunday once again I went to the customer care and told them about my homescreen problems they didn't care me. They Switch off and on again my phone gave it to me and said ur problem is solved.
They doesn't try to understand me.
Suddenly I got angry and fought with them. On the spot I pictured them and forward my complaint to the nokia' with in two days nokia officials contact me ask me about the problem and help me to solve that problem.
After that I'm not saw that problem again in my phone.
so if you have any serious problem pls forward your mails directly to the nokia.

You mean this? Nokia Play To is only available for symbian^3 users. N97 mini is a symbian^1 device.
