Symbol MC70 and phoneME

We are using Symbol MC70 (now supported by Motorola) device at our company. I'd like to ask if it's possible (or recommendable) to install phoneME platform (phoneme.dev.java.net) on this device? There aren't any simple instructions on how to install phoneME on mobile devices (at least I haven't found them yet), so I would also like to know how to install and configure the platform on on above-mentioned device. If anybody has any experience using Symbol devices I would be very grateful for any kind of help regarding this issue.
Thanks

Hi
I also have a Motorola MC70 PDA. I am facing problems related to the following things:
1. Can you please suggest where we can get the IDE and emulator. All I could get was for MIDP development and not CDC.
2. Do we need to install Creme?
3. Also could you suggest if AWT programming should be done or Swing? Which is appropriate?
Thanks

Hi I created some Maths Text books about 5 years ago in an older Adobe Indesign program. I now have to re-edit the files using Indesign CS5.
The Euclid Symbol Bold and Italic fonts i used back in 2005 now do not display in Indesign 5 when i open up the program. The other Euclid Symbol Fonts do. I think that they are all truefonts.
    I have attached an example.
I am using a Mac running OSX 10.6.8.

  • When I mouse over an active tab, a circular "block" symbol appears and prevents me from either clicking on or closing the tab

When I am in FireFox, and I mouse over any area that would normally allow me to do something, like select a tab, close a tab, or even fill text into this details box, a circular "block" symbol appears and prevents me from entering or doing anything. I have scanned all of the installed programs in the Control Panel and removed anything suspicious and reviewed addons and the like in FireFox, all to no avail. BTW, this problem does NOT occur while in Google Chrome, but I much prefer FireFox. Help!!!

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the <b>about:plugins</b> page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove all (older) version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and (re)install the latest Flash player.

  • Symbols: size and efficiency

I have an MC in an animation that is a circle with a radial
gradient, roughly 200 x 200 pixels. At a later point in the
timeline, I'd like to have many of those objects moving around, but
each then only at a size of 10 x 10. (The effect is that I have
    zoomed back.)
Do I save anything, in terms of processing time while running
the .swf, by creating a new Symbol for the smaller versions? IOW,
each instance would not have to be scaled down, one at a time, if I
instantiate them from an already reduced-size Symbol.
(And thanks to all for current and past answers to my
    questions here.)

I don't want to customize them, I just want them to be a specific size and place to start with
right now they show up, either rolled up, in the upper left of my screen if I don't set the locationRelative parameter, or in the center of the screen, rolled up, if I set the locationRelative parameter

  • Clustering, unix symbolic links, and war files

              Hello,
we use symbolic links in our web application to a large shared storage device.
This works when running a single server, when the application is not a war file.
When we cluster the application, the admin server creates a war file, blindly
follows the symbolic links and tries to include all files in the shared storage
              device. Bad!
Is there a work-around to this problem in a clustered configuration?
              -Thanks-

              hi,
can you tell me know you deploy your app to the cluster member
manually? do you run each member as an admin server? how do
you group them into a cluster then?
              thanks,

SMS. Deggie, had them check that.  After a lengthy discussion with Senior Tech advisor, it appears it is iMessage/Face Time server (they are the same) issue, which will strong arm those into purchasing Data if they use iMessage over multiple devices, as the server registers the phone number associated with apple ID.  Not impressed. I put what I've learned here in a simliar thread
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17416082#17416082
and this is what I've put in apple.com/feedback
"iMessage requires internet.  SMS does not.  iMessage/FaceTime auto logs phone numbers to the iMessage/Facetime  server (it's the same server as I've come to learn), this means that when iMessage/Face Time is turned on anyone sending a message through the server to me will only be sent as an iMessage- not when I'm not connected to internet, meaning I will not receive the message as an SMS by default, when I have another device using iMessage (such as MacBook) logged in.
This feature is a problem for me, bottom line, in that iMessage strong arms the consumer (me) into having to buy a data plan that they either do not want, or do not need."

  • Where to find undefined symbol delay and drv_usectohz

    Hello,
i use WS6U1 on Solaris 5.8 and i try to use the kernel function delay (example see "man delay").
I get 2 undefined symbols "delay" and "drv_usectohz", but i don't know which lib-file to include.
    Can anybody help ?
    kind regards
    Frank

    Hi,
From the man page of "delay " it appears that:
    Kernel Functions for Drivers delay(9F)
    NAME
delay - delay execution for a specified number of clock
    ticks
    SYNOPSIS
    #include <sys/ddi.h>
    void delay(clock_t ticks);
The above include should help you to find the symbols.
Hope path settings are set correctly. The header file "ddi.h" having these symbols is in /usr/include/sys. Can you reconfirm same at your end.
    HTH.
    Thanks,
    Santosh

My ipad2 cannot add events to calendars? There isn't a symbol "plus", and it doesn't response no matter how to tip it.

This may sound a little stupid, have you tried turning on iCloud and test your calendar again.

  • I cannot use my iPad. The screen is black with only the circulating dowmnloading symbol showing and I cannot switch it off to re-boot. If I try to connect to iTunes it says it could not connect because o an unknown error 0xE80000065, but I can't turn it

    I cannot use my iPad.
It presents a black blank screen with just the circulating symbol in the middle.
I cannot turn if off or on to re-boot it as the on-off swith does not respond, neither does the press button on the bottom edge of the pad.
I have tried to connect it to iTunes but my computer (running Windows Vista) shows an error message 0xE8ooooo65.
Previous to this complete shut-down I had successfully connected to iTunes and tried to download the new 4.3.3 (?) Update.
This showed it would take four hours ! So it was left to do just that.
However it then went back after thfour hours it said it was backing up my files, but then shutdown.
    Can anyone help?

  • Some songs are grayed out in Itunes with ICloud/Download symbol, why and how do I fix it?

A random variety of my songs are grayed out so they won't play and it shows the ICloud download symbol next to them.  In the top left hand corner, it shows the cloud symbol with horizontal lines moving, as if it's in the process of downloading, but it has been on all day and there is no movement to shift the grayed out songs to functioning songs as if they have been downloaded.
    Does anyone have any suggestions??
    Thanks!!

Delete the incomplete tracks from your library, sending them to recycle bin, then download them again from your purchased history. If the problem persists use the "report a problem" links from your account history to contact the iTunes store support staff.
Are the incomplete tracks ones that you had previewed before purchasing the album? If so there may be a bug that needs reporting. See this recent post which explains why I ask the question...

  • What is this Symbol called and what does it mean?

What is this symbol/icon called and what does it mean?  It goes away with it's "notification" and I would have no idea where to find it should I need to.
    Please.  And thank you.

It did come from Apple as I had to deal with this.  But in speaking with another "Genius" I was trying to describe the symbol to him and never got an answer.

  • My iPod says the battery is low, the apple symbol appears and then cycles back to low battery message?

My older iPod classic says when I dock it either with charger or hooked up to computer that the battery is low, the apple symbol appears, you can hear a whirring sound (hard drive coming on) then a clicking sound and then back to low battery message.  Has been doing this for the last week.

    Hey there Kevin,
It sounds like your iPod Classic is exhibiting some unexpected behaviour when you have it connected to your computer with the usb cable. I suggest the troubleshooting steps in the following article to help troubleshoot the device:
    iPod classic Troubleshooting Assistant
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/classic/
Start by resetting the iPod, then retesting the issue.
    Reset
    To reset your iPod:
    1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
    2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
    Tip:
If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling
