Symbol next to new message, and message won't load...
I keep receiving new messages, and when I try to open them, they just show up blank. To fix this I just reset mail. I get this symbol next to the message when this happens though. I'll attach it.
Yep. I did some more poking around and found that one. Downloaded it and tried to run it and got more errors. Did some more searching and found a fix for the installer on Vista. Ran the fix and tried the ipod software again. It got further, but then hung up again. I'm still trying to figure this all out. Anyone got any answers it'd be much appreciated.

New message won't load, security error in error console
Hello. I'm posting this here in case the cause of the problem is this error item. I can receive all messages in my different folders except for the Send folder. I can sync it if I restart TB, but subsequent checks (clicking Get Mail, Download Now or Repair Folder) do not work. The error console has this item in multiple entries:

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart. -
Down loaded a new video and it won't load onto the video ipod
I downloaded an episode of Baby Einsteins for my son to watch on the video ipod. iTunes gives the message "Pirates Treasure" was not copied onto the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod. What more can I do. I have a new 12" powerbook, the newest video iPod with plenty of space, and all of the latest software updates! It's frusturating that service for this type of problem is so hard to get. Can anyone help me?

Hi there not sure what I did wrong but got a message asking if I would allow the application config but was warned by commputer not to now I can't log into some sites and others won't load properly, some sites will log in but only if the stay logged in box is not checked,I'v have cleared my cashe and internet history looked through securtity setting but nothing, anyone had this problem and has any advice?

Some ,mail messages won't load after migrating to Lion
I've migrated Mail from Snow Leopard to Lion on a new computer but from time to time some messages won't load. It's a real pain because I only dicover it when I go to read a message I want to read. Anyone have any ideas?
Mail, the application, should not cannot contain any message data assets. The Mail application must sit in the Applications folder, and be usable to every User Account on the Mac, and not just yours (understand you might be the only user, but making a point).
Mail, the folder of data for just your emails, should properly be at Home/Library/Mail.
Let me ask again -- in the Applications folder is there an Icon for Mail, and is it the Icon of a postage stamp, or is it perhaps the Icon of a folder?
However, let me note, that now that I have booted back into Snow Leopard, and used Get Info on the Mail Icon in the Applications folder, it is reported to be 77.5 MB! Looking at it from other boot volume (Leopard) does not see all the elements of its "package" apparently. My apologies.
Now it is time for a different test -- Create a New User Account, and as that New User launch Mail and try setting up one new email account - if POP select to leave messages on the server. See the following if not familiar with adding a new user account:

The reason for doing this is to test the Mail app itself, and not to permanently switch to a new user account. Tell me if the behavior continues in that New User Account with Mail?

How can I find out what my security answers are? I am trying to purchase an app on a new device and it won't let me without answering and I have totally forgotten
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose. -
my old back had a lot of movies on it and it was stolen. i got a new one and it won't let me download my 400 dollars in movies into my library..all the movies show up on my purchased itemsbut when i click on them it does nothing how do i get my movie back??
if you cant download them > email the iTunes Store emaill support adn explian the situation adn they will give you a regrant of all your purchases.

but you should try the pas purchase thing in iTunes first because the regrant is a one time thing. > IE iTunes Store > purchases > click what you want > redownload

It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. See this article to help you identify what model and generation your iPod Touch is.

Trying to setup my new ATV and it won't set date and time, and won't allow me to log in with my apple ID to homeshare OR to test te network, which I know is correct since I changed it. I live in an apartment complex and the router is in my roommates room. ANY suggestions? I'm at the point where I may return this because it has been nothing but a hassle. I'm very annoyed and just want the product that I paid for to actually work.

I'm also using my MacBook Pro as the homesharing with iTunes up to date.I had a similar issue wuth my new Apple TV. If you (or your roommate) are able to change the router firewall settings, do that first. I don't know the ports that you need, except that 123 is one of them (to set the time). Then restart the Apple TV. See if that will get you through the activation process. I actually ended up restoring mine to factory settings, but I'm not sure if that step was really necessary.
I understand your frustration, though. Getting the Apple TV to work was such a pain -- it almost feels like it is not really an Apple product. -

Just trying out my new mac but email won't load, error says "The mail server denied access to the account because an administrator or other mail client was using it when Mail tried to log in. Try again later." A little lock is beside the email inbox account, no password prompted and account is online and enabled... Thoughts?
Have you tried clicking on the lock to see it it will then ask for a passwored. Otherwise, try reblooting.

Nope, I tried the Pacifist route after applying the combo update.
It does sound as if webkit is busted at the moment.
What version of osx is on your install disks?

I am on windows 7 and have downloaded and installed creative cloud. I click on the icon to start the program and for a second the little hourglass shows up as if its loading but then nothing happens and it won't load or do anything
