Hello, I have just received a blue coloured message type symbol with the number 1 adjacent to it on my front screen. Can anyone tell me what it means and how I access the information. Many thanks.

What shape symbol?
Could be BlackBerry Messenger, it's notification is blue, like a cartoon bubble sorta.

Download RecBoot and see if that will kick it into recovery mode, so your computer sees it and you can do a restore.

One of two things usually. Less often charger is faulty, try another charger. Most often the plug symbol in this situation indicates faulty battery.
Try a Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself, ignore the "slide to power off" let iPhone restart itself.

Random flashing envelope symbol on my main screen

i recently became the owner of an e5 and since i powered the phone up i have had this random envelope symbol flashing on my main screen, at the bottom under the tool bar. i have no messages in my inbox and no voicemails, so am totally clueless as to what it is and how to get rid of it. any help much appreciated

Flashing envelope could be caused by
1. You may just have an unread SMS from your last phone that is still saved on your SIM card. To check, goto Messaging>Options>SIM messages.
2. SIM card's message memory is full. Delete messages from the SIM card. Goto Messaging>Options>SIM messages
3. Phones messaging memory is full. Try deleting messages, also checking in, Sent and drafts.
4. Even though all your messages may be marked as read, just going down through the list and opening them all again one by one have also been known to resolve this issue. This could take some time but is worth a try if you do not want to delete any messages.

I don't know why the change, but the pointer appears in the same way as it does on the main screen, not a pointer. There does not appear to be anyway to change it. You may want to submit a comment to the Features Requests: Acrobat Feature Requests. I also submitted this as a bug.
As a clarification, your "adobe acrobat 11 reader writer" is not informative. There is Acrobat 11 and Reader 11. Writer is not a product as such. So you have referred to Acrobat in a contradictory manner. In the future, please just indicate Acrobat 11 or Adobe Acrobat 11.

You can try a system reinstall:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. IPhone 5 Starts then Shutdowns after main screen?

So, i have had this phone for about a month and half, and one day my phone died on me then i got my charger and charged it. It showed that it was at 1% charging when youu see the battery symbol red and at 1 bar. I left it alone for about 20 mins, still- hour later- still next day- still so i unplugged it and then was wounder why it wouldnt turn on. The phone got hot later that day when i left it on my desk with the sun out. I was able to turn on my phone but then right after i got to the main screen after the apple logo. It shuts off, it seems to only respond to extereme or above normal tempuratures hot or cold.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup... Restore as New...

If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

Calling the subscreen into main screen

Hi Guru's,
      I am having a main screen, which holds 2 radio buttons.
      If I select one radio button it has to call one table control, if I select 2nd radio button it has to call different table control.
      For this I have created two subscreens, each one holds a table control.
based on the selection of radio button I have to call these subscreens in to the main screen.
   Please help me how to call the subscreen into main screen.

No Icons on Main Screen of My 8320

I think I accidentially deleted something & then suddenly all of my Icons on the main screen dissappeared. And all I get is a blank yellow circle that I can move across the bottom of the Screen. Also after the accidential deletion, I intermittently got "Error 523" with "Reboot" or something like that. On the secondary screen where it would normally display all Icons, I only get a blank screen (just showing my background) with no icons. It does however show stuff like the battery symbol, notifications, wifi symbol, etc.
I reinstalled the most recent firmware that I could reinstall. It restored the Icons on the secondary screen but none on the first screen and still only get a blank yellow circle that I can move back and forth across the screen. & I also lost the ability to "move" Icons. Even tried "Alt+BB button" & not able to move Icons
I took out the battery, Sim card & memory card & then reinserted them. Still no Icons on the first screen & on the second screen where all the Icons would show is now blank again.
Anyone know how I can restore the Icons to the first Screen? How I can get the move function back & get all my Icons to not dissappear off the second screen?

Ok. So I went through the same process of reinstalling the most recent firmware that I could install and now everything seems to be working just fine so far!
All of the 6 Icons appeared on the bottom of the main screen & the whole list of Icons appeared on the second Screen.
Not sure why it worked as the only thing I did differently was took out the Sim Card & Memory card also at the timeI had taken out the battery.
So I can now say that the issue is resolved!

How can I move pictures from Finder to a folder on my main screen?

I'm trying to put a bunch of photos that are currently in Finder into a folder on my main screen so I can drag them easily onto photo printing sites. How do I do that?

Thanks! But I have like 100 pictures………is there a way to do them as a group instead of individually? I also want them in some sort of folder not just 100 individual photos all over the main screen. Is there a way to create that?

I learned that the Dock is positioned at the chosen edge of whatever Display is positioned farthest to that side. E.g. for the Dock to be positioned on the right side of the Cinema Display (instead of the right side of the MacBook), the Cinema Display must be oriented (by dragging) to the right of the MacBook monitor on the "Arrangement" tab of the Displays Preference Panel.

I placed the cursor on desired node and select EDIT->INSERT MENU ENTRY->INSERT AS SUB NODE
but it says node cannot be inserted at desired position.
I tried with same level as well, but its not working.
If i click on change nodes, its saying "changes nodes change be done through Enhancement ID"

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then restart your iPad.
See if that makes a difference.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the monitor. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the monitor and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the monitor your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
