% SYMBOL SHOULD BE SHOWN IN REPORT

HI ALL,
can we have % symbol in the report as each key figure value consist. we have formula based on keyfigure
but values should come along with % symbol.
for ex : Key figure column
             40%
              56%
              25%
please give me solution

Hi.
Try the below steps.
Open Query Designer --->
Open Query thats needs to be edited --->
In the left panel, select the CALCULATED KEY FIGURE that needs to hold the % symbol --->
Right click on the selected CALCULATED KEY FIGURE --->
click EDIT --->
in the new pop-up window, use the function '%A' as displayed - NDIV0 ( 'NUMERATOR' %A 'DENOMINATOR' ) - in the Formula window of the CALCULATED KEY FIGURE --->
Click OK in the pop-up window --->
now use the edited CALCULATED KEY FIGURE in the query.
This will help resolve your issue.

I need to display currency symbol with value in ALV Report like if currency type is dollar then $200.
Here I am using field catalog type slis_t_fieldcat_alv and suing field merge catalog FM: 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'
I tried like this

The GR & IR lines unable to shown in report ,but it does has in PO history

Tcode: y_d35_87000552 [GR/IR Report for Stock Valuation/BB6 Reporting (with summary listing)]
parameter:
company code: HC02
GR date: 01.01.07 to till 30.09.07
Issue: The line items captured in the reports was not the complete one as some of the purchasing lines have been excluded.
When trying to drill down via tcode ME23N for one of the missing transaction in the said reports (PO#SMLMFO2002), noticed that the purchasing doc was having GR and IR process in the year of 2007 as shown in 'purchasing order history' tab and all have generated the MM & FI entries.
Conclusion: The GR & IR lines unable to shown in report from Tcode: y_d35_87000552 but it does has GR & IR entries at PO level's view.
Appreciate if you can assist urgently. Thank you.

Question: In which situations we should use Character Mode Reports?
Explaination: I am faced with a certain situation. I feel that I should develop reports in Character Mode. But I am not sure about this.
I invite all readers to contribute on the subject matter. Once I receive responses, I will explain my specific situation as writing it now may narrow the list of such situations.
Also I would like to know what problems we face when developing reports in Character Mode. I was developing my first Character Mode report and I faced layering problems. So I would like to know more such precautions.

Hi Muhammad,
There's any number of cases for using character mode Reports. However, they all typically come down to what your doing with the output of the report.
Basically, you need character mode reports whenever the Report output needs to be read by some sort of Ascii file reader. This could be notepad, VI, MSVC, dot matrix or fixed character set printers, ...
A less common case is where you just want to get at the data within the report. You're just using the ascii output as a data dump to pass through to another program/utility. (This is really just a specialised case of the previous one).
There are some cases where character mode output may be one of several choices. Eg: the body of an email message which could be HTML or plain text.

Hi Experts,
I am doing one scenario file to idoc.
In my file structure i am getting '&' symbol and should be mapped to idoc structure.
But '&' symbol should be removed and get mapped to target structure.
In idoc i should not find '&'.
I have tried with replace string and varialble substitution but it not worked.
Can you please advise how this can acheive.

Bit strange requirement. But if you have data in Cube and automatically its will be available for Reporting. unlike ODS, we do not have option of "Automatic request activation".
However on repoeting side, you can restrict the values to # and exclude everything from slection. But not good solution as such.

SSRS should directly upload my report to PDF after taking parameters from user

I have a client requirement where 6 paramaters are declared in a report. And these parameters are explicitly entered by user who accesses the report. After entering parameters user clicks on "View Report".
Requirement is "View Report" should directly export the report to PDF. Instead of showing it in default viewer.
Some one please help.
It is very critical and urgent requirement which I should complete.

Ok, then I hope only by using the SSRS tool we can't redirect as per your requirement. Once it is rendering only we can export to few formats.
Alternatively you can try Data Driven Subscriptions. It can directly send the PDF's. Even there is having some limitations. If your requirement is suitable within those limitations then u can use right ?

Symbol # is comming at the reporting level

I have created a report in which one of the infoobjects contains text field of length 40 type char.
along with the text values it also contains symbol # at the very bigining, i have checked every where but fing no clues from where the symbol is comming at my reporting level, is there any setting from which i could remove this symbol.

UWL: Addtional filter should be shown up as default (Show Filters)

Dear ALL,
In UWL content area (Workitem Table) we have some thing called Show Filters/Hidefilter option. by default the Addtional filters are not shownup in the UWL screen. Once we click show filter then addtional filter fields will be shownup in the UWL Screen.
my requirement is by default(While loading the UWL page/iview) automatically the addtional filters should be shown. can you help me out from this isse.

Introduction
Some users want to change default values shown in Report Delivery Options when creating standard subscriptions. Someone might want to always Cc the report to a specified user without sending the report URL. So they want to display those default values display
automatically when creating standard subscriptions like below.
Solution
To achieve this goal, please embed JavaScript code into the SubscriptionProperties.aspx file to change those default values (By default, the file’s location is: <Installation directory>\Reporting Services\ReportManager\Pages\SubcriptionProperties.aspx).
The example below will show how to set default values for “Cc” field and “Include Link” field.
Before coding, pleas find out the corresponding HTML tags of the two fields in the browser using IE Developer Tools.
Get “Cc” field with its corresponding HTML tag
Get “Include Link” field with its corresponding HTML tag
Embed such a code snippet at the end of the existing code within the SubcriptionProperties.aspx file

SOME FIELDS SHOULD NOT SHOWN IN THE REPORT

this is to inform you that, there is a requriment in reporting perspective (ALV),
Requriment:
i have to generate a ALV report which is viewed by our CFO with one t.code, in that report suppose there are 10 fields.
That is a specific report if some body apart from my CFO uses the same tcode to generate the same report than it has to display only 5 fields.
if my CFO uses the same t.code all the 10 fields must be visible.
please help me how to do it.

There are couple of ways to achieve this,
1) - Create 2 variants, 1 variant for CFO with all the fields & 2nd variant with only relevant fields. Then use the authorization concept, where basis can restrict the access / execution of the report with specific variants.
From the basis view, they create role & assign this variants in one of the object ( not sure). Basis assistance required
2) - When developing report, write the validation for the respective fields such as maintain Customize table in which maintain userID's & fields which they can access. Display only those fields to the userID who executes this report. It should check this customize table for this UserID & only those fields listed should get displayed. ( for all the fields, instead maintaining each field, you can enter "ALL",
Eg: UserID -
Fields
CFO -
ALL ( report should display all the fields)
NONCFO-------Field1 | Field2 | Field3 | Field4 | Field5 ( only these fields should get displayed)
Note: In Customize table either you can maintain with User ID or Role. It will be more convinient in future as well.

I set up language as 'English'. But when I print reports, all titles, columns and rows are shown both English and French. How to let them show only English?

Change the language into English and uncheck Foreign .
