Symbols do not appear

I am unable to display any type of symbol (like alpha, beta, etc.), when either selected from the font list or copy/pasting from my computer's character map.
Any suggestions or is this indeed a Designer problem?

When I type the message on my MAC (OSX10. or on my iPhone 4S (os6) it looks good but the reciepient does not see the "@" symbol. It instead shows as a "Space" I have contacted the skype team by a chat window and went through to the etchnical support person who was still unable to provide a solution. I am having this same problem when I send a text message to a customer I have been symply been ending my text with my email address so they have a means to reply but unbeknownst to me it has sent with the @ symbol my end but not recieved. Why?

In Apple mail, the attachment symbol does not appear in the list of sent items. So you cannot sort sent emails based on whether or not they have an attachment. Is there a way to fix this?

I think my question wasn't clear. I know how to display the attachment header (I use classic layout) but the problem is that the paperclip icon does not appear against the messages that contain attachments. See screenshot below. The attachment column is displayed but is blank. These are my sent items and I know for a fact that most of them have attachments. Can you help?

Secuirty lock symbols does not appear

Recently the lock symbol which used to appear when accessing bank account sites, payment sites etc does not appear and Im concerned that my computer is at risk - has anyone else experienced this problem?

In Firefox version 3.6+ the lock icon is in the Status Bar at the bottom of the Firefox window when you are on a secure site. You should become familiar with the Site Identity Button (see below) as the Status Bar will no longer exist in Firefox 4.
The newer method of site security information is the '''Site Identity Button''' at the left end of the URL/Location/Address Bar; it changes color based on the "security level." See these articles:

Symbols Mysteriously Not Appearing on Export

Hey guys,
So I have this interesting little bug, not even sure if it's a bug... In my flash document, I created a movie clip symbol with a very large size and put it on my timeline, and tweened it around to get it to move so you can see the whole thing over time, right? When I play the movie on the timeline, it works fine, but for some reason when I export the movie the symbol doesn't all appear, like it's cut off. The symbol itself is a series of imported psd images as well, so I'm not sure whether the bug is coming from the fact that the symbol is too large, or the fact that psd files aren't supposed to be handled like that.
Is there any way I can get around this and get the symbols to show up on export?
I am running Flash Pro CS5.5 on Windows 7.

Surely it is too heavy for the flash player. If you are psd files, perhaps using transparencies, which makes it a heavier.

The lock symbol does not appear when I open a secure page in firefox 4.0. Has this been removed?

Previously, using firefox 3.6.1, when I opened a secure or encrypted page, the lock icon appeared on that page.
When I upgraded to firefox 4.0, the lock icon is no longer appearing when I open a secure page. Please confirm whether this has been removed or in the alternative whether there is a way to determine that the secure or encrypted page is indeed secure to use.

In Firefox 4 you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions. 
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server. 
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL. 
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

Try going into Settings > iCloud and toggling the Contacts button off and on and see if you can then add contacts in the Contacts app

Yes, the 3 was working and after an hour with Apple Support it was determined to be a corrupted Adobe file that after filtering through all the many Libraries and deleting these adobe files, when we started up again, with fresh files from Adobe, it worked. They did a start-up with just the Apple system and as a guest user and it worked that is what told them it was a third party issue, perhaps a pre-mapped short cut key or simply a corrupted file. Anyway, as usual, the apple support folks were very helpful. This is why I always buy Apple Care as my problem solving is limited.

The usual suspects from Microsoft, Adobe, Wacom, Apple and Google, all of which are checked and no updates currently found.
With webpages such as <https://shop.avanquest.com/members/?company_rs=51>, PayPal and Windows Live e.g. after correct login details are entered into the online form and login is performed successfully. The "key" symbol does not appear to the left of the "awesome bar", neither does the password save pop up box and so the login details for the site cannot be saved in Firefox sync.
This is not specific to https secure sites, as I have been able to save the passwords for several https secure sites and conversely, I have been unable to save the passwords for some http non secure URLs. I have ensured that, whilst trying to enter a page or site into Firefox sync, it has the only tab open.
There does not seem to be a way of manually entering website details (URL, User Name, Password etc.) into Firefox Sync; how can I save the password details for such sites?

Graphical Glitches: Objects appear not selected when they are, Symbols not appearing correctly

I've been having a ton of graphical glitches with Adobe Flash CS6 and I can't for the life of me figure out for the life of me.
Things that happen:
Objects will not appear selected when using the Free Transform Tool.
Symbols don't appar in scene when pasted, or dragged in until I leave the scene or symbol im in. They show up in the preview window though.
Something else I've been noticing is that when I use the Pen tool my computer or speakers or something making this werid noise and it only happens when I'm using the Pen tool.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No one has had these issues? I just got another one. My timeline disappeared, I don't mean the menu hid or thats it not there. It's there its just not actually displaying the Timeline or at least it didn't till I wen't back a few changes for some reason. It was still there though as I could click the eye and lock and the layers (which ones I have no idea) it was all grey. Also again the selection area doesn't show up, all movements of symbols are slow to update their postitions and when I turn on outlines it does nothing.
Also everytime I close Flash I get an error from windows, no idea why.

If your Mac is one year old it did not come with Lion, so you must have purchased and installed it yourself, or it is not installed.
Do this
Go to Apple Menu>About This Mac:
It should look like this:
If your version is anything other than 10.7.xx you do not have Lion (10.6 is Snow Leopard)

Symbols Saved are not Appearing

Symbols I save from my document library to my common library are not appearing in my common library. I also try to save a graphic element as a symbol and choose "Common Library, and that's not appearing in my Common Library. Any idea why? I am using CS5.

Not sure what to suggest, but I'd check and/or try the following:
File path. Are the symbols located within the Common Library of your user library Application Support folder? It's a little unclear from your reply, which says ‘custom library’ (not a recognized file path/folder name).
Quit and restart. Try quitting and restarting the application, and see if the symbols appear in the Common Library panel. If that has no effect, then try shutting down and restarting the computer.
New location. Try saving the custom symbols directly into the application's Common Library folder (instead of within the application support folder), and see if that works.
If none of this helps, keep in mind that you can always export symbols from the Document Library into a Libraries folder, or import symbols directly from other documents, without involving the Common Library.
