Syn collection in lightroom mobile?

How do I syn collections from different catalogs in lightroom mobile?

What you can do is to move (or copy) a photo form one collection to another. This can be triggered via the top right app menu item from grid view. Same menu is available when you open up an image for editing. Hope that helps. -Guido

  • I have no option to sync my collections to lightroom mobile. I had the option and all of a sudden it is gone.

I cannot sync a collection to Lightroom mobile. I have the creative cloud photography plan and had no problems with this a few weeks ago. What I would do is edit photos on my computer then add them to the synced collection and then post them from my iPad. There is no option in the create a collection window and there is no sync button next to the collections.
I am losing my mind. Please help.

The collection I am trying to sync is not a smart collection. It is the same collection that was synced several weeks ago but now is not and there is not option to sync. As you can see in the picture, the sync icon is not there and in the create new set dialog there are no syncing options.
Is there no sync option in the free version? It seems like perhaps it has reverted even though I am paying for it but I have re installed it from the Creative Cloud app and it is still the same.

  • How do I change the order of the collections in Lightroom Mobile

They are not in order alphabetically, which is th order on the Mac.

I found a dropdown in the top middle of the iPad screen which allows sorting by Import date, Title, Size, and Status--that did it.

  • Photos in lightroom mobile can't be seen when tapping on collections

I can't see photos from my online collections in lightroom mobile. The screen is empty when i tap on the collections on my phone or tablet.
But I can see those photos when I open the collection in my browser.
Anyone else with this problem or maybe a solution?
    Thanks!

Since you have not so many Photos uploaded yet could you try to trigger "Delete Data" via the Lightroom Preferences->Lightroom Mobile. Thereafter re-sign-in and syc those photos again.
If that won't help please send me a LR Desktop diagnostig log  - best as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link.
You can trigger the log via LR Desktop prefereneces -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button.

  • Lightroom Mobile: I can't see any of my collection from the web.

I am able to see and sync my collections between ipad and Lightroom Library on mac, but i can't see anymore my collections from the web. Thus i am not able to share neither my collections with Friends. This is ongoing since 48hours .How to quickly fix this? Thanks

If you can see your Synced Collections in Lightroom Desktop, and you can see the same collections in Lightroom mobile on your iPad, and not see them in the web, I would ask you to double check that they are all logged into the same Adobe ID at all three locations.

  • Moving from synced Lightroom mobile collection to external hard drive collection in Photoshop Lightroom

How do I move "From Lightroom Mobile" Catalogues to external NAS drive?
Mobile workflow is: Take photos with iPhone and adding them to collections on Lightroom mobile. Those photos get sync'd to Lightroom on the desktop, creating a catalog on the desktop. However, I organize and keep my photos on a NAS on the desktop. When I try to go through the "Import" workflow I have, I cannot select the Lightroom Mobile catalog(s) that are set up. How do I get that locally stored set of photos off of my desktop and onto the NAS for storage?
    Thanks in advance.

I think I actually have the catalog of NAS photo on the local computer, but my images are stored on the NAS.
Does Lightroom Mobile sync mobile images to the desktop? Or does it keep the original files in the cloud and just reference them from the local catalog? If it downloads the original files, how can I get those on the NAS? I have limited space on my macbook, and am trying to keep all of my images organized in a single location.
In other words, my workflow from my DSLR is: 1)insert SD card 2) import using Lightroom to NAS using import settings 3) view images in Folder pane
What should my workflow be for my iPhone to store them on that same filesystem as above?
    1) sync files to adobe cloud 2) view FROM LR MOBILE Collection in Lightroom 3) ??? (can't figure out how to import to the NAS from the mobile collection)
    - or -
    2) forget about LR mobile, just do straight import in Lightroom from iPhone to get photos onto NAS?

  • List View in Lightroom Mobile

I have hundreds of collections in Lightroom Mobile.  Scrolling through them with only three at time visible on my iPad takes forever.  A list view and/or small thumbnail view would greatly help navigation.

  • Lightroom Mobile and Raw files in Camera Roll

I made a new collection in Lightroom Mobile.  I tried to add some files from my camera roll.  The raw files in my camera roll do not show up when I click on the Add from Camera Roll button.  Is working with raw files in the camera roll not an option in Lightroom Mobile?  My NEF files from my mac have synced over just fine.

This reply may seem a bit old, but I  just started using Lightroom (Desktop and Mobile) this week. I do a good bit of international shooting
(four continents thus far). So I am always looking for ways to improve what I do - especially keeping images safe in the field.
I am shooting with a full frame DSLR and Have and IPAD Mini 3 with 128 Gb
From my experimentation I can tell you the following:
    1. You can import raw files to an Ipad using the camera connection kit. Either direct from camera or using card reader.
    2. The images show up in the IPAD camera roll, but what you are really seeing is the embedded jpeg from the raw file.
    3. There are other APPS that can read these - I currently use PHOTOGENE (I have nothing to do with the company, just a customer) It allows me to do basic edits as well as ad watermarks prior to sending images to Social Media etc.
My theory on Lightroom Mobile and Ipad:
Lightroom mobile syncs your edits between you collection on your Ipad and you Collection on your desktop via WIFI. All of this is done
with "smart"  Previews. These are very small and take very little bandwidth.
I would imagine the syncing between the Ipad and Desktop is handled much like "copying edits" on your desktop in Lightroom. As an example - You have two different images of a dog in Lightroom on your desktop you pull up the first and increase brightness and then increase saturation. You can then choose to copy those edits - pull up the second dog image and paste the edits - and magically the second dog image has increased brightness and saturation.
So, when you are editing a Collection that started on your Desktop in Mobile on you I pad - Lightroom isn't syncing by sending the entire edited image it actually is doing a long distance cut and paste of the edits you perform (very little bandwidth).
For this to work with a RAW file that was just added to and Ipad in the field - the whole Raw image would have to be sent first. (My raw images are 23- 27 meg). So you can see the problem. As a serious photographer that sells my work, I would never consider doing final edits on Lightroom Mobile - Since I use Lightroom on my desktop in conjunction with Photoshop CC, OneOne Suite 9 and Photomatix
The reason that Photogene works is that it is only manipulating the embedded Jpeg file from Raw file. It never has to export the raw file.
DON'T DISMISS THE IPAD/Lightroom Mobile AS A VALUABLE TOOL FOR PHOTOGRAPHY - HERE ARE A FEW REASONS.
Backups in the field. When on a trip where I will be filling many cards, I don't believe in pulling a cared in and out of the camera. I leave a card in the camera until almost but not completely full. At that point I connect the Camera via USB to the Ipad Camera adapter and plug that into my I pad. I then download all images. I then remove the card and store it in a case.
I can now view my images on the bigger and WAY better Ipad Retina Screen. If I have some I want to share before I get home I can make some basic edits to the Jpeg with Photogene and send those via email, Facebook, etc.
I am not secure with on one backup of my card - So I carry a Small Ravpower unit. ($40.00 on Amazon, etc. The Ravpower serves as a backup charger for my Idevices - But most importantly it has a CF clot and a USB port. I place a cf CARD in the slot and/or a thumbdrive in the USB port. (since the Ravpower holds a charge you can also plug in a portable Drive via USB (like a WD Passport)
Using the free App for the RavPower unit I can then set up a private WIFI network between my Ipad and the Ravpower unit and copy the raw files to it. (it takes a while so I usually start this just before turning in and have both the Ravpower and the Ipad connected to charging cables. So now I have my raw stored on the card, the Ipad and whatever I hooked to the Ravpower.
Another great use of Lightroom Mobile and an Ipad is to share you images using Apple TV. My wife doesn't like to sit around the PC fpr long periods of time. So I create collections Using Lightroom Desktop and then pull them up on Lightroom Mobile and send via Apple TV and AIRPLAY as a slideshow on our large screen TV.
Hope some of the above is useful to someone.

  • Lightroom mobile - where's the cloud

    Hi Dirk,
There are two ways by which you can upload your files to Creative Cloud but the 2nd one is not available for our customer right now as it is still in testing phase.
1-  you can login on www.creative.adobe.com   and on top left corner there is an option Files if you click on it, on top righ side you will have an option to upload files ( this feature is available for our customers )
This will be available soon for our customers in future.
2- you can go on Creative Cloud app and in Files menu you will have an option to Open folder, if you will click on it it will navigate to below given location.
Either you can go on below given location and save the files you want to upload or click on open folder and it will navigate to this location.

  • Sync'ing with Lightroom Mobile

When you sync a Lightroom collection with Lightroom Mobile, where are the files stored. The don't appear in my Creative Cloud account. The files are visible in Lightroom Mobile or Lightroom Web. Also it says that I am using 14GB of 20Gb but I only uploaded 800Mb of files

    Hi Acroperus,
The storage for Lightroom mobile is separate from Creative Cloud and doesn't count against your 20GB. This FAQ might be helpful for you: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-mobile-faq.html

  • Lightroom Mobile: can photos be custom sequenced?

Can photos in a collection in Lightroom Mobile be custom sequenced?  Alternatively can the photo sequence a Lightroom 5.4 collection be preserve when it is synched to Lightroom Moble for iPad?
Custom photo sequenced are required for the slide show feature of Lightroom mobile to be of any use.

The choices for image image within Lr mobile are: capature time, modification date and file name. I'm not aware of any way to customise the order/sequence of images within Lr mobile. That being said, renaming files in Lr desktop to reflect your preferred sequencing will be honoured by Lr mobile when file name order is chosen from the collection drop down panel.

I have the latest Creative Cloud versions of Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile on my Ipad. On my desktop I have created a collection which I have put in a custom order. On my Ipad I go into that collection and set the order to custom order, which I presume means the order I have on my desktop. However, the photos on the Ipad seem to be just random photos from the collection THEN the rest of the collection is in the correct order after that.

Do you have virtual copies in your collection?
