Synaptic touch drivers not installing.

So I accidentally uninstalled the included synaptic touch drivers. I loaded new synaptic driver, but this one doesn't disable the touch pad in tablet mode. I tried loading the driver from Lenovo, but it's not working. I wants me to install the 64 bit version but the page claims it is the 64bit version. What gives?

PC suite - Cable drivers not installed???

After installing the PC suite VER 6.82.22.0, though PC recognizes N70 phone, the PC suite does not get connected. When clicked 'About PC suite' and 'system info', message cable drivers not installed is found. However, if checked in the control panel, the drivers are found installed. The earlier version did not have any problems. Can any body solve this.

Computer says itunes drivers not installed?

computer doesnt recognize ipods. tried to update itunes and it shut my computer down and blew out all my ports. had computer repaired, seems that update worked but cant plug in ipods to sync music and the box comes up saying the itunes drivers not installed. how do i install them? im a little hesitant to download itunes again after what happened last time, so just wanted some advice.

No, you will not lose your library. The actual installation and where your files are stored are in separate locations. When you uninstall, you are only uninstalling the program, and therefore, your library will not be affected.
Only thing to note is if you changed the location of your itunes library, you will have to tell itunes where you keep your library, so itunes can load it from there.

Latest Vista 64 bit drivers not install

It don't matter what I do, I cannot get the "SBXF_PCDVTBETA_L3_2_0_0000" drivers working with my X-fi Fatality sound card.
Things I have done:
Turned off the signiture thingy as per the read-me (both at start-up and premient way)
Turned off windows firewall
Turned off Windows Defender
No Antivirus/Firewall/Spyware/Adware protection
Run the file as a normal user and right clicked and selected "run as administrator".
Made sure no previous sound drivers were installed.
As soon as it gets to the "Updating the windows files", I get another box come up:
Creative Device Driver Installation has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is avalible.
The only button I have is, close program, I click that and it goes to the audio console. At that stage I cancel the installation because ther sound apps dont work without the sound driver.
So I am left with a very muted PC.
My PC Specs:
Windows Vista Beta 2 5384
AMD Athlon 4000 2.4 Ghz
Asus Geforce 7800GT
2GB of RAM
Proacti've Asus A8n-Sli Deluxe Motherboard

Boot Camp will not support Vista on newer iMacs, you will need to upgrade to Windows 7. Also as an FYI there is a Boot Camp forum, you can locate it by clicking Apple Support Communities and then in the search field type Boot Camp.

I'm a bit surprised that the only supported Linux distros are commercial (costing money) distros!
What's the point in providing Linux support for your tools then. The overwhelming majority of Linux users use free distros like Mint, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora etc.
I had exactly the same problem and now I'm forced to BUY a Linux distro in order to build PetaLinux?
Anyway, a) are there any plans to support these tools on the more popular (free) distros? and b) Does anyone know if we can use CentOS 6, since that's supposed to be a community (free) clone of the supported (but not free) RHEL 6 distro?
Anyone know of an 'unsuported' Linux distro that 'works' anyway (especially for the cable drivers)?
It LOOKS as if that one cable driver install issue is the only thing preventing us from using a boat load of other distros. Can't this be fixed?

Device drivers not installing

GOt a palm pilot tx, need to put a kaba access control system on it. Tried win 7 64 bit computer, vista 32 bit computer, xp 32 bit computer and win 2000 computer. drivers will not install with plug and play nor with installation cd. I can't find anything online, as I am the only IT guy and I have many projects on the go right now. Any help would be appreciated.

PalmOS devices do not use "plug and play" to install software. They use a software program called "Quick Install" to install apps. Install Palm Desktop on the 32bit XP computer, then try the installation disk.

CD drivers not installed on PSE 5

I'm using ver 5 on a new machine (Vista 64 bit) and things are going fine with the program.
Except, when I want to burn a disc. I get the message: The CD device driver is not installed. Please reinstall Photoshop Elements.
I did. Still the same result and the same message.
Is this link the solution to this problem?

Did you try burning a CD with a software other than Photoshop Elements, Something like Nero? Are you able to burn your discs through that?

Touchpad drivers not installing for U310 Touch on Windows 7

My wife got a U310 Touch today which is a nice little computer. However it came with Windows 8 and she prefers Windows 7, so I took care of clearing the hard drive and installing Windows 7. We installed all the Windows 7 drivers from the Lenovo support site however the touchpad drivers fail to install. I tried manually installing the Synaptec drivers but it told me I don't have a Synaptec device. I then installed the Cypress drivers manually and rebooted but then the trackpad doesn't work at all.
I looked in Device Manager and the Hardware ID for the PS/2 Compatible Mouse says SYN2B0B which appears by all internet research to be a Synaptics hardware ID, which would make it understandable that the Cypress driver didn't work but really irritating that the Synaptics installer won't run because it says I don't have a Synaptics device.
What should I do? The default Microsoft drivers are OK but she really wants to disable the tap to click and adjust some of the other settings that aren't available without real touchpad drivers.

SYSPrep install for Win 7 SP 1 Drivers not installing correclty

I am setting up x230s with Win 7 SP 1 64 bit. Sysprep using dpinst. and setupcomplete.cmd to install drivers that need silent installs. I have installed chipset, AMT chipset for Intel Engine, USB 3, multi carder reader, etc..
All drivers install ok except Card Reader, looking into it I have had to edit config file for install to change hardware ID from 823 to 822. However, card reader does not work when i insert an SD card. Also Any usb drive I plug in is not recognized, I get the error in Device Manager No Driver Found. I have imaged other model, T420, X220, T500, T520. Consistently the Card Reader install is an issue. So I am looking for help in installing drivers with sysprep and unattend.xml, with setupcomplete.cmd. We are rolling out a few hundred for Win 7 64 bit. We cannot use system update to resolve all the drivers. So any help on this topic is appreciated..

It might also be helpful to know what you are using for your deployment utility. I say this because it might be beneficial to check out the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit for your deployment solution since it makes driver injection that much more managed and simplified. A great blog article which outlines the process of managing Out-of-Box drivers with model specific driver groups can be found on TechNet here.
As a high-level overview, MDT allows you to create hardware independent images which will in turn greatly streamline your deployment process. The Springboard Series on TechNet has a great deal of information to help you learn how to create hardware independent images, specifically. For now, I’ll just give you a few key benefits.
First off, MDT is free and can even integrate directly with Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and can be setup to PXE boot for both a Sysprep and Capture task sequence and lite-touch deployment.
Next, MDT can be used to deploy Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012R2. Using MDT, you can easily add both applications and drivers, manage Windows updates, create task sequences, specify selection profiles for easy driver injection, prompt for a computer name, join a domain, add a KMS or MAK product key, create an administrator account, specify time zone, etc. You can also import all user data into the new environment using the User State Migration Tool (also free). In addition to creating standard client task sequences, as stated above, you can create sysprep and capture task sequences that will do just that – sysprep and capture an image of your reference machine. To become familiar with the process of using MDT, you might want to check out these videos from the Springboard Series page on TechNet:

As a direct answer to your question, if you are currently using Windows Deployment Services (WDS) to push out your images you will want to check out the adding drivers to WDS Server TechNet wiki article or if you are just trying to sysprep your image and keep all installed drivers you will want to look into the PersistAllDeviceInstalls switch for your
unattend file.

Synaptic touch pad not working a

The touch pad decided to stop working. It is functional through out the system boot process and during user login. Once the desktop shows up it does not work. The pencil mouse on the keyboard works as does a USB mouse. I have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled from the HP download center. Same problem. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Before I downloaded and installed the driver, there was a faint image of the touchpad with a red slash acroo it indicating that it was not available. After the re-install the slashed touchpad image did nto appear, but the touch pad failed to respond. The buttons still work.

I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15-n204tx Notebook and issues with the Touchpad drivers. Uninstall what driver and software you have now and do the update from the HP Support Assistant. They are created for your Notebook.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating.

Drivers not installing on Win 7 x64 on 27" iMac

I originally posted this to the iMac forum but was told this might be a better place:
I'm struggling to install the correct sound and display drivers on my 27" Intel iMac for Windows 7 64-bit. The problems I'm trying to address are:
Inability to select screen resolution with correct aspect ratio (currently using 1920x1440, which is vertically squashed)
I suspect Windows is ignoring the iMac's graphics card
No sound
All hardware is working fine in OSX. This is what I've tried:
After installing Windows, installed the drivers included on the Snow Leopard Installation DVD
Updated Bootcamp to 3.1, then 3.2
Noticed Device Manager doesn't list Radeon HD 5750 -- is using "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" and "Generic PnP Monitor"
Tried installing ATI Catalyst Control Center repeatedly (Suite version and not), after installing .NET Framework 4 and after removing the existing display drivers. (I'm not sure I removed the existing drivers correctly though. I uninstalled them through the Device Manager and tried using Driver Sweeper to confirm that they were removed, but was unable to get that program to work.) So far CCC gives me an installation success screen, but never appears in the system tray.
Any advice on fixing this would be much appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Device drivers not installing - therefore not recognised by iTunes

Desperately seeking some help with this. Purchased a new iPad 2 couple of weeks ago.
Plugged into laptop to sync with iTunes (already have an iPhone so just wanted to sync some of my content to new device)
The device didnt materialise in iTunes. Now since the new update I hadn't upadated iTunes to version 11.01 or my iPhone to iOS 6 - with the ipad already operating on iOS6 I thought this might have been due to iTunes not being up to date.
So tried to update iTunes - here the problems began.
I cant even remember what happened first, but the update didnt work, and after searching these forums I gathered the safest thing to do was to uninstall iTunes and quicktime and re-install.
I hadn't researched in enough detail to realise about all the other programmes that needed uninstalling as well as the bits that the windows uninstal leaves behind in the registry.
Eventually (took ages) I managed to get around this using Revo uninstaller and completely uninstalled everything and succesfully re-installed iTunes.
It appeared to work fine, update succesful etc..
Then plugged in the iPad and to my dismay still no joy.
After monitoring 'the device driver software is not correctly installed'.
I have scoured these forums for this problem and I think I have tried everything and still no luck at all.
I have re-installed itunes (again - 3 times since the first succesful re-install)
I have run through the iPad troubleshooting assisstant.
I have attempted using device manager to point the system to the driver in Program Files - this just times out, attempted using MSCONFIG to identify any conflicts and no joy.
Attemped launching in another user account on the computer with Admin priveleges - nothing works.
Have obvously tried all USB ports, old and new cables, resetting device etc
Final idea was a warning code Ive had come up upon launch of iTunes after updating:
"Warning! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I reinstalled the driver for this using regedit but still nothing.
Have also just checked and the system doesn't recognise my iPhone either, which has been synced with this computer hundreds of times in the past.
The decvices do not appear in computer, only device manager with their name (i.e. IPad) with a question mark/warning sign next to it.
Im using windows 7, 64 bit.
Can anyone help, please - before these nice Apple products get thrown from the window - swiflty follwed by my laptop - and I become a technology free monk?
Apologies if re-posting but I cant find anything identical or anything similar that solves the problem and have had enough of it now!!
Only option I can think of is a complete windows reboot which I really don't want to do - especially as I suspect the problem is to do with the Apple software on my PC (which is why Ive posted in iTunes as opposed to iPad)?
Any assistance greatly appreciated, happy to provide more info if helps?

Usb keyboard not working in windows xp pro sp2 , drivers not installing rig

I just got this mac book pro. Haven't owned a mac sense LC II.
I got a stand for the notebook at www.raindesigninc.com the mstand and I got the $50 aluminum usb keyboard apple sells.
I installed windows xp on a 50 gb partition, put the bootcamp in got all the drivers installed.
Then I got to the office today plugged in my apple keyboard and it was not recognized. I didn't have the bootcamp cds with me at the office.
Are the drivers for the aluminum apple usb keyboard on the bootcamp cd?
I've done some searching on google, and the only solution that i've read is downloading a new version of bootcamp then using a program called transmack to pull the driver out of the bootcamp image file. I hope there is a simpler soution that won't take up so much time.
So do I need to put bootdisk in again to get the drivers for this usb keyboard? Or how can I get this to work as it is now the usb keyboard doesn't work. I had to take the laptop off of the mstand and use its own keypad.
