Synaptics and number of fingers

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T500 and the touchpad works right using synaptics... except for multiple finger detection. From the wiki I can see that ALPS touchpads are not able to detect the number of fingers on the touchpad. How can I know if I have one of these touchpads?
Using synclient, when I touch with two fingers, only one is detected, albeit quite a wide one If it wouldn't be possible to detect the multifinger touch, could I use this "extra width" to emulate a middle mouse click?

Recently I bought a refurbished macbook pro online (I know it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do) I got it yesterday and everything seemed to be fine, it actually looked a **** of a lot better than I'd expected it to, but I did notice there seeemed to be something moving around inside when I would pick it up or turn it around It was a few hours after that, after using it for a while that I'd noticed my fingertips were a bit numb, I didn't think too much of it at the time, just mild annoyance as I had started working on a project that required me to put tiny objects (okay they were sequins) on a larger object (it was a gift for a friend) and I couldn't exactly get a good hold on them, due to the loss of sensation. Later in the day, I got on my new laptop again, it had been on all that time, but I wasn't using it. I was on it for a while when I started feeling these vibrations all over it, mostly in the front right side and in the trackpad, I also noticed the numbness of my fingertips again. The vibrating became audible when I turned the laptop towards me, or when I pressed my hand againt the front right side. I took the back cover off today to see if I could find what had been moving around, but everything seemed to be in place.
I'm thinking of taking it to the apple store today, as I'm pretty worried that it could be something electrical? Just asking if anyone else has had this problem, or a similar one. Thank you in advance.
P.S. This happens whether it is plugged in or not.

Soreness and numbness in fingertips from trackpad

I've been getting sore fingertips and numbness from using my 2010 Macbook Air's trackpad. It has got progressively worse over the 18 months I've owned it. It get's too painful to touch the pad after a few hours.
I press as lightly as possible and switched to tap-to-click a few months ago and, although it hasn't got any worse, it hasn't got better either. It doesn't go away even if I don't use it for days and I'm starting to worry that it is permanent damage.
I am a part-time student so I can't simply stop using it. I am also a builder's labourer so it's not that I have soft hands.
I tend to use it on the sofa, so a mouse doesn't seem to be the answer and also partly defeats the point of having a laptop.
Anyone else have this problem?

This is far.out.at.sea, one of the first commenters on another post about this same problem. I lost my old info, so my new id is out.to.sea.
My allergy to trackpads has continued. I have a mac book air (11-inch, 12-inch). Using a mouse pretty much has solved my problems, except when I for some reason I can't use my mouse and I'm stuck using the track pad. I recently lost my mouse and wasn't in a situation to buy one (I currently live in Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia). I had a project due and just had to work through the pain and I would like to describe the effect.
I mostly use my middle finger, fourth finger and pinky when using the track pad. I have attached two photos of my fingers. These photos were taken two days after I stopped touching the track pad. Beyond the internal pain in my fingers, joints, and hands, my fingers get dry, rough, wrinkly, and the top layer of my skin comes off. Compare my first finger to my last two. Notice the difference in color and texture?

Is there an APP to monitor call usage (in minutes) and number of texts sent etc so I can ensure I am keeping within my contract? I am getting my 3GS on Thursday so do not know if the phone has this facility already inbuilt or whether there is an app I can buy to do this for me?

Unless O2 has an app available via the iTunes app store that provides for this as AT&T does for the iPhone sold in the U.S., I don't believe so.
The iPhone includes a usage indicator for Call Time and Cellular Network Data usage, which can be reset on a monthly basis based on your billing cycle, but there is no usage indicator for the number of messages sent or received.

How does DIADEM import TDMS files? How gets every channel his number and groupindex? How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?

I store different channels in a TDMS file.
I like to have a time channel at the first position with group index 1 and number 1.
When I read the TDMS file with DIADEM the time channel (Float64) is on a differernt position, and the channels are not sorted alphabetically.
Here are my questions:
How does DIADEM import TDMS files?
How gets every channel his number and groupindex?
How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?

i suppose that you´re programme whose create the *.tdms file is writing on false position. Try to create datas with timechannel on first indes in diadem, then save it and then open it again. you see that all is correct. So please tell me what programm in what version do you use and please attache it here.

Here you find the gtdms_8.x.zip - when you extract it and opened the *.llb you find vi´s for all functions e.g. writing 2d array of strings to *.tdms file
when you open the subvi´s then you see how created and writing datas/structure to *.tdms files. Because *.tdms is binary you can´t see structure with open it in editor.
When you don´t have Labview you can use the 30 days test of current version 8.5 under following link

Hi,
Try to see that transfer structure is existing in the sytem which is connecting in
the BW quality.
You need the same to be transported from the development server of R/3 to quality server of R/3.
Just check if this helps.

Besweet, I'm having the very same problem with 60GB colour which was bought new and worked for 6 months before suddenly just not being recognised by PC. I hadn't changed anything at all.
I've followed all troubleshooting advice and reinstalled and updated iTunes and iPod updater software but all troubleshooting routes seem to hit the dead end of either the need to access the iPod via the PC (which isn't possible as it's not showing up at all) or the iPod in disc mode stuck at "ok to disconnect".
It's still under 1yr warranty so will have to take to a dealer.
I'm sorry that's not much help for you but at least you know it's not a unique problem.

Adding caller with name and number from call list to the contact list only inserts the number and not the name

I recently bought a BlackBerry Z10 and moved my cell service to Rogers to take advantage of the name display service offered by Rogers (Fido also offers this service).
Due to the number of calls that I receive from first time clients, I wanted the name display service to help me know who was calling. Evidently it is impossible to add clients to my contact list before they call me so I'm constantly seeing numbers that have no name to help me decide if I want to answer the call.
When I try to add a caller from my call list to my contact list, only the number gets inserted in the new contact. The name needs to be entered manually.
I understand and realize that not all call display formats are the same and that it's virtually impossible to parse the first and last names from the name portion of the caller id.
However, I would like to see BlackBerry add the functionality to insert the name portion of the call entry from the caller list to a "Nickname" entry in the contact list just like it adds the number to a "Home", "Mobile", or "Work" entry in the contact list.
If a user doesn't have a name display service, there would be no change to how their contacts are added because there is no name variable to copy over.
Can someone from BlackBerry please let me know if this feature can be added to BB10 and when it can be added? For me it's an obvious feature that should just work.
I am really enjoying my Z10 but I'm feeling let down that something so logical and helpful is not supported out of the box.

My BlackBerry Z10 shows both the name and number when someone calls (and the caller is not in my contact list).
All I would like is for the Z10 (and Q10) to support the addition of the name and number from the caller list to my contact list without me having to type the name. As I mentioned in my original post, to avoid the OS having to parse the first name and last name from the name portion of the caller list entry the name could simply be added to the contact list as a "Nickname". If your provider only has number display, nothing would have to be copied from the name variable in the caller list to the contact list.
I find it difficult to believe that BlackBerry would not be aware of this name display service since it's been around since 2006 with both Rogers and Fido.
I hope I have clarified the reasons why I would like to have this feature added to BB10 and how it's surprising that this simple feature is not already a part of the BB10 OS.
Either way, I don't think this is a difficult feature for the BlackBerry team to add. They're just copying a 2nd variable from the caller list to the contact list.
I'm surprised that Rogers hasn't asked BlackBerry to add this feature to their phones. I think it would be a popular feature for those who receive a high number of calls from first time callers.
How can I get this feature request to BlackBerry for their consideration?

I've done this before. First, I had the current acct owner call in and say it's okay for me to assume liability on the line. Next, I called in and explained that the owner already called and gave permission for me to assume the line. Notes were on the account. I was transferred to the assumption of liability dept, I accepted the terms and conditions and we were good to go. The old owner will get a final bill up until the point of transfer and you will get a new bill starting at the point of transfer.

Date and number display format

Hello all,
I am new to Adobe Form, and I am quite unimpressed with how difficult it is to do the most simple things.
I have managed one way or another to solve all my problems until now, but this one got me stuck.
I have date and number fields in my form, and here is what I want to do but cannot:
- I need these fields to be displayed using the defaults date and number settings of the SAP user who is generating the form. This one is really hard for me to figure out.
- I need some other fields to be displayed in a specific format depending on a variable in the context of my form. I imagine this could be done using scripting, but how to change the display format of a field via scripting?
Anyone has an idea of how that can be achieved?

For these kind of issues you will get many answers if you search the forum.
If your requirement is to display the current date in the form, just drag and drop the "Current date" UI element from the Library palette -> Custom.
If it is to get the date from SAP and display, pass date to the context node and just drag and drop the field into the form from the data view.

As you know that shopping cart has no type. So we add customer field to mapping to R/3 PR type and this field has two values.
1)     PR01: mapping to KGPR
2)     PR02: mapping to KTR1
We will use the method GROUP_RQ to determine the PR type.
If customer field is PR01, PR type is determined KGPR
If customer field is PR002, PR type is determined KTR1.
To determine the PR number range, we will use the method GET_NUMBER_OR_RANGE.
If PR type is KGPR, Choose the No key 12
If PR type is KTR1, Choose the No key 16.

NUMBER Datatype
The NUMBER datatype stores zero as well as positive and negative fixed numbers with absolute values from 1.0 x 10-130 to (but not including) 1.0 x 10126. If you specify an arithmetic expression whose value has an absolute value greater than or equal to 1.0 x 10126, then Oracle returns an error. Each NUMBER value requires from 1 to 22 bytes.
Specify a fixed-point number using the following form:
NUMBER(p,s)
where:
p is the precision, or the total number of significant decimal digits, where the most significant digit is the left-most nonzero digit, and the least significant digit is the right-most known digit. Oracle guarantees the portability of numbers with precision of up to 20 base-100 digits, which is equivalent to 39 or 40 decimal digits depending on the position of the decimal point.
s is the scale, or the number of digits from the decimal point to the least significant digit. The scale can range from -84 to 127.
Positive scale is the number of significant digits to the right of the decimal point to and including the least significant digit.
Negative scale is the number of significant digits to the left of the decimal point, to but not including the least significant digit. For negative scale the least significant digit is on the left side of the decimal point, because the actual data is rounded to the specified number of places to the left of the decimal point. For example, a specification of (10,-2) means to round to hundreds.
Scale can be greater than precision, most commonly when e notation is used. When scale is greater than precision, the precision specifies the maximum number of significant digits to the right of the decimal point. For example, a column defined as NUMBER(4,5) requires a zero for the first digit after the decimal point and rounds all values past the fifth digit after the decimal point.
It is good practice to specify the scale and precision of a fixed-point number column for extra integrity checking on input. Specifying scale and precision does not force all values to a fixed length. If a value exceeds the precision, then Oracle returns an error. If a value exceeds the scale, then Oracle rounds it.
Specify an integer using the following form:
NUMBER(p)
This represents a fixed-point number with precision p and scale 0 and is equivalent to NUMBER(p,0).
Specify a floating-point number using the following form:
NUMBER
The absence of precision and scale designators specifies the maximum range and precision for an Oracle number.
