Synaptics pointing device driver not supported

I have a Toshiba C55D-A5392 which was recently "upgraded" by Microsoft to Windows 10. I cannot adjust the "tap or hover over the touchpad" to defeat it from sending a left click. I always removed that "feature" with all previous versions of Windows. When I try to adjust parameters on the Control panel, i only adjusts a few. Ther'e's a link to "more adjustments" but when I click the, I momentarily get the usual presentation for all adjustments, but within a few seconds I get a message that the driver is incompatible with extensions used by the operating system. Will there be a driver for the Synaptics touch pad used in my computer. It's a real pain right now to use. Thanks for any input.

Toshiba does not have a Win 10 Synaptics driver for your model. None of us have any idea what their future plans are in that regard. You might see if Synaptics can help you.

I have also encountered this in MDT 2013 Lite Touch deployments for Windows 8.1 and I am researching it.
I noted that the Synaptics driver was installed for "SmBus" in Device Manager for a motherboard with an Intel 7 Cxxx Series chipset (Dell Optiplex desktop). The HardwareID's are all PCI\VEN8086...
We use %Model% in our task sequence and have a folder for each model such as "Optiplex 7010" in Out-of-Box Drivers.

Synaptics multi-touch driver not working

Hello,
I've got a problem with my multi-touch pad. I have, without meaning to, deleted my synaptics pointing device driver and, obviously, it stopped working. I have already followed severeal times instructions by other forums but it wouldn't work anyway. The driver is already installed but it doesn't work any way. I have also tried to enable it but it was already enabled. Rebooting and restarting my computer wouldn't work.
please help me.

Create a Restore Point Create a Restore Point – Win7 OR Create a restore point Win8
Next:
Perform the Hard Reset . Boot the computer and log in
That may do jar loose any cobwebs.
Version update...
If you are not using this version and you are running Windows 8 or 8.1,
you might install this driver for HP ENVY 14-k010us Sleekbook :

G3 cd drive "device is not supported"

Dear Forum:
I'm suddenly having trouble with my CD drive on my G3 Ibook. It has stopped recognizing CDs. Sometimes it simply puts up a message "device is not supported" Now trying to backup and it will not let me burn files to CD, give message "device is not supported." Any ideas?

Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
The lenses in the drive may have become too dirty to function properly. Try using a standard audio CD cleaning disk in the drive. Most decent-size music stores carry them.

No sound at all - "THotkey message: Audio device is not supported"

Device Manager lists: Legacy Audio Driver and says the device is working properly. Yet I have no sound, and I have troubleshooted from almost every angle - even tried to download a new driver (RealTek) and still nothing.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro S300M and I have Windows XP Pro.
Each time my computer boots (and this doesn't happen in safe mode) two messages appear:
THotkey: This Audio Device is not supported
and
TouchED Error
Retrieval of HotKey Failed
Error Code: 0x00031402, 0x00000002
And...as per "Jerry's" advice, I downloaded the HotKey utility and the util common modules. Still nothing. No sound.

I know this is an old post--but I came across it when I had the same problem in 2013, so I am posting the solution I found to the problem. I found that the following things resolved the problem. First--for the Thotkey problem. Turn off the hibernate option. You do this by using the power option (Settings--Control Panel--Power Options--Hibernate tab--unclick the Enable Hibernation box) and then restart your computer. For me, this resolved the THotkey message, but still no sound. Then, to resolve the no sound problem. My Satellite Pro S300-EZ1514 has a key sequence that turns speakers on and off. The ESC key shows a picture of a speaker with sound waves, a slash, and a speaker. By hitting the FN key and the ESC key together, you toggle the speakers off (a grayed out speaker image) and on (a yellow-colored speaker with sound waves). Make sure you have the speakers on (the colored image). Unfortunately, I found this solution after I had uninstalled Realtek Audio Device--downloaded new drivers--and basically spent A LOT of time researching.

I bought an iPhone 4gs 32gb from Singapore. iso 4. I'm living in Chennai, India. To connect it to my computer (windows XP,), I have downloaded iTunes 10.6.1.7. I have the same problem. I think that someone tried my iphone before me because when I want to reset it, I'm invited to enter a password that I didn't set. Also, when I go the Map application, the iphone indicate that I'm locateded in China while I'm in Tunisia. Now, I can't connect to my iphone to itunes, and I can't reset it because it ask me to enter a password that I didn't set.

Old iPod mini can't be recognized after formatting, and iTunes 'Apple Mobile Device Driver not found.'

My roommate gave me an old iPod Mini a few days ago. It was working fine 'til I plugged it into my computer and it asked me to format it. I did, and now it cannot be recognized by iTunes or my computer. My computer views it as a "removable disk" which cannot be accessed. In devices, it is listed as an Apple iPod though, so I'm hoping not all is lost. I have tried many quick fixes I've read on internet (including changing disk letter) but to no avail. I have reinstalled the new iTunes and now that is telling me it has not installed properly, and when I ran diagnostics, it reads that the Apple Mobile Device Driver not found. I will copy & paste all the info from the diagnostic run below, and if anybody can help me with my new (old) iPod, I'd be everly greatful!

My USB Stick(Thumb Drive) not Supported and Anothe...

I have 8Gig Patriot Thumb drive. I used OTG USB cable to connect it to my N8 but phone says USB Device is not supported. ALso When I try to connect my Iomega External Hard drive I get the same error. Can this be possible? Cause patriot and iomega is very well known company in hard drive and thumb drive. I would be very surprise if N8 doesn't support their products.
So can anyone confirmed for me that those companies simply not supported in N8 or I am getting at error which I am not suppose to.
Also there is one more thing, I usually have around 8.9gig left in internal memory. Whenever I try to move 6 gig Mkv files to internal drive I am keep getting error that there isn't enough memory left. Then I tried with my 16gig microsd card. It had 14.9 gig memory left and I tried to copy 6.9 gig Mkv file to microsd card. I got the same error. So can any help please?

Not a computer engineer but isn't this like using a PC with less than 10% free space, it all becomes unworkable. For internal memory doesn't it have to allocate 6GB first leaving it less than 3GB to actually carry out the task?

Use the camera's SD card instead.
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

"The connected device is not supported." Is there a workaround?

I am trying to connect an old Lumix point-and-shoot to my iPhone to grab some photos. I get an error message saying that the device is not supported. Ok, I get that, it's an ooooold camera. So then I removed the micro card and stuck it in my micromate adapter that I plugged into my usb-lightening adapter that plugs into my iPhone...and nothing. How do I transfer what is on the card to my phone?

The error message for the card adapter says that the "connected device requires too much power."

Nokia E50: "This device is not supported by iSync"

Just purchased Nokia E50 (series 60 smartphone) but I'm unable to add it to my iSync devices. I keep on receiving this message, "This device is not supported by iSync."

You might be better off getting a new cell phone. From what I can gather, the W490 is quite old. If your cell phone plan's expiration date has passed, it should be easy to convince your cell phone carrier to replace your cell phone with a compatible version for little or no money simply by telling them that you will switch to another cell service provider if they can't give you a good deal on a new cell phone, but of course, make sure it is compatible with iSync on Snow Leopard. Equium P200 - Using Synaptics Pointing Device - keeps minimising my screen

Just bought the laptop so all the devices should be up to date.
The touchpad uses the Synaptics pointing device and it often closes my screen or minimises it when I'm using it whether it be in my email account or online.
Not sure if relevant but got Vista installed. Have tried to look this fault up but no luck so far. Any help would be gatefully appreciated.

If you have bought your laptop few days ago the first thing you should do is to check all relevant settings and see how that tochpad works. You will see that touchpad has many different settings and I am pretty sure you use accidentally some of them.
There is definitely no fault. I have the same notebook model and have no this fault. Maybe you should disable tap zones.

Device does not support 2.5 protocol

Hi, I'm trying to synchronise a Pearl 8100 to Notes using Desktop Manager v5.0.1.37 [Mar 10 2010] and its consistently crashing at the same point. Contacts complete fine, reads calendar from the phone, reads the Notes entries, then crashes. Synchronise Log file has following entry

Thanks for trying to use Firefox for android. We didn't get the tablet version finished for the release, but you can download the unstable version from http://nightly.mozilla.org until it is totally ready. Note that you'll need to enable installation of non-market apps and updates will not be automatic.

I am trying to download pictures from my canon rebel eos to my Ipad but i get the message "this device is not supported" what can I do ?

I just bought an Apple Lighting to USB Camera Adapter. When I got home to and connected it to my Canon Rebel EOS Digital Camera. I received the error message "This device is not supported" I was wondering if there is any software or drivers I need to download?

I use Canon Cameras and have no problems downloading photos from the camera to the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. My questions and suggestions might be basic but just to make sure:
1. This is an iPad forum area. Are you using the lightning to USB camera adapter with an iPad? Your info in your original post says iPod. I'm not sure that the adapter works with an iPod.
2. After you connect the adapter to your iPad and then use a USB cable to connect the adapter to the camera did you turn on the camera?
3. If you did turn on the camera and still did not get the import of photos to start try a reset your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. This will not cause any data loss.
