Synaptics trackpad going crazy with Windows 10

The trackpad on my Hp Envy M7 Model-G6U51UA#ABA trackpad has been going crazy with windows 10. Sometimes (most of the time) the thing does not respond at all (clicks or fingermovement) when it does occasionaly it will zoom in/out with only one finger (NEVER did this with windows 8.1) I am DESPERATE FOR HELP!! I have tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it (driver from hp's website)

Yes, I tried 1440x900 with no other settings. That's actually how I have it now. It allows me to go up to 1152x768, but that's it. ;-)
To the previous question on 1400x1050.. Yes I tried that also. It was in the modelines from the hdw config that I had, but since my monitor will only support up to x900, it wouldn't work either.
My existing 'abbreviated' conf settings are below, I've download the nvidia driver (pacman -S nvidia) and tried changing the driver below from nv to nvidia, but X complained and wouldn't start, so I'm back to the 'nv' driver below:

I switched the usb port and did the whole recovery holding of the buttons ect... And it worked, the computer detected the phone and i was able to click restore. However, the computer says preparing iphone for restore and it is still doing the restarting thing where the apple fades away and then comes back like it is restarting. If i can somehow get past this i will be able to go back to factory settings and resolve my problem, but this is where i am stuck.

What is going on With Windows 7 and all my xp hardware?

Hi, I dont normally ask fro help in forums, as a computor silver surfer user since windows 95, I generally manage to get a resolution by sheer home learning, But Im livid with this new computor i just bought, which i can not get any of my xp components to run or be recognised by this awful windows 7, Im near to taking out the Hard Drive Out and buying a new one, and putting Xp on it.
First off, sorry if bit long winded, but there is two major issues, one non Sound card related, one creative labs one is.
First, can someone tell me, why , when i connected my vertabim 320gig usb external drive, which was connected to my win xp for a year. Windows 7 kept asking me in middle of email,s middle of games, what wanted to do with it's? In the end, i got a message saying do u want to use this drive for nero backup, well, as this is a back up drive, i said yes, imagine my horror, when i found it had changed its name to "Volume drive E;" not F: even worse, all 60 gig of movies built up over 5 years had been completely wiped off? There is nothing left in it now, just a folder calling itself backup. but everything else has been erased. is there a chance its been saved somewhere else in win7?
Second problem, I use Soundbaster audigy cards for a very long time, which has a graphic equalizer in it, which i must have, to enable certain programs like ASIO that need to fine tuned using a graphic equalizer, my last one i bought 3 months ago, after old one packed up, I took it out of the xp computor, and reactivated the onboard xp one, so i can still use it, But once it was put in this new win7 grr computor, my problems started,as soon i restarted after installation at start up i got a runtime error win32 blah blah, which has still not gone away,god knows where that came from. After 3 attempts at instaling the card from the disc all was ok with graphic equalizer too, however next day, Wind 7 decided, I couldnt have it, and everytime i started it to edit a wave with it, it kept telling me no device supporting it !! THEN IT GOT WORSE, it downloaded something called Alchemy, which was a creative update, now i have no graphic equalizer at all now, and terrible tinny sound from my good 2. surround system worse than the inbult one, which was disabled. i have searched and searched, and spent 3 days now, trying to get the software to work , these being the G.E. the eax and bass boost etc. Every Win7 downloads for creative labs audigy card, wether from here or third partys have failed to install the components I must have. I bought and tried some demo graphic equalizers from cows site, None of them interracted with any of them, it was if they werent there, although inputs and outputs was set to the card it found. After spending another 8 hours today trying to sort this, I found other sound cards made by creative on amazon, which i use a lot, to my horror, the only cards that seem to have a G.E. and works with win 7 costs 177!! There is no way im going from a 120 sounblaster to 177 xfi, just cos i need a system graphic equalizer, Im just about to upgrade my photoshop elements 4, to elements 9, cos win7 wont accept the 4.0 version. so that another 155...!!!! i rather take out the whole H/D and buy a new one and reinstall XP. got to be better than paying out 130, its insane!! Notes or comments on how, if at all, I can get this sounblaster audigy G.E to work would be greatly welcome, as would the lost 60 gig of videos from my external drive.

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

MSI Z77A-GD65 going crazy after Windows 8/8.1 installation.

Hey so I decided to buy a new SSD and update my system to Windows 8.1 (coming from 7), mainly for optimal BF4 gaming experience, (I also intend buying a 290X lightning or two when they come out...) . But during the process I encountered a truckload of problems, my main one is this: I was using bios version 10.7 for almost a year, with a stable 4.8GHz OC (which I managed to get done after each bios flash since I built the rig in early 2012), everything went great - this was on Windows 7.
However when I migrated to Windows 8.1 my PC wouldn't boot anymore and after 5-6 attempts it did boot and it said that all my settings were reset to default, fine. I restarted and from then on it wouldn't boot anymore no matter what. The error code on the mobo is always "19" which in manual says it's Early South Bridge initialization. I have no ideea what to do anymore, I tried plugging out SSD, HDDs, GPUs, RAM sticks, clearing cmos with back panel button. It all boiled down to either not booting or going into a boot loop.
My only solution was to switch to bios B on the multi-bios switch which is running 10.2 an almost 2 years old bios. That beeing said I can boot normally now (and fast), and the system runs great but the bios version is so old that it does not let my 2x680 MSI Lightnings work in PCIE 3.0, only 2.0...
So i'm VERY scared of what to do next, because I don't want this second bios to corrupt as well.
I always flashed my bios with Live update 5, I did this with each new bios release and never had a problem but I read that the latest bios, 10.10 is buggy, and I don't know HOW to flash my bios to an earlier version, maybe even 10.7 or 10.8 in another way. Is there a way to safely flash BOTH bioses and to repair my A bios at the same time?
TL'DR, if there isn't any safe solution to my problem I might as well just press in OC Genie button and have a mild OC until sometimes next year when I'll get a new mb + cpu + ram anyway. But if there is one, please let me know.

What the bleep is going on with windows/tabs?

I have 3 different windows open on Safari, A, B, and C
The 3 windows that show, and the 3 tab labels are all different, but the address bar for all 3 is the same http://discussions.apple.com/post!default.jspa?forumID=876. This is the real address for window B.
If I go to window A or C, and try to navigate elsewhere by typing in an address or using a bookmark, only window B changes, and I go where I wanted in window B. A and C just sit there more or less permanently.
If I close C, and open D [command-bookmark], a new page opens, but the address bar shows as http://discussions.apple.com/post!default.jspa?forumID=876

Wifi going crazy with activity since icloud

Since accepting iCloud my wifi has been going nuts,it doesn't stop& it is interfering with things I may want to do like play a game,it slows everything to the point that I have to refresh.Can anyone help?

Isa 2006 standard, going crazy with "Enforce Strict RPC compliance"

I am trying to join a W2k8 R2 machine to a domain. If it is in the same network as the domain controller, no problem whatosever. If instead, there is a ISA Server (2006, Standar), issues arise.
Even if I create a rule allowing all the traffic back and forth from the perimeter to the lan, the message still appears.
This is the message:
"Changing primary domain dns name "" failed. The name will remain "newdomain.org" . The specified server cannot perform the requested operation.
The domain controller and the client are both W2k8 R2 64 bits.
Very important:
I can attach a 2008 Windows server as long as it is 32bits, but not a R2 (x64).

It has been a while since I wrote this post and I solved the issue by following some directions from this blog:

which says:
This is a bogus error message [...] it's caused by the domain join code ending up in a function which it doesn't need to run anyway during a domain join operation using the GUI.
What's failing is the attempt to change the Primary DNS suffix of the machine after the domain join has succeeded - but the Primary DNS suffix is already correct at that point which is why this can be ignored.
The domain join itself is not affected at all and will have succeeded if you're seeing this specific error message with the empty quotation marks as that code is only run after a successful domain join.
As frustrating as it is, this is unfortunately one of those cosmetic issues which aren't likely to be fixed until the next OS version - primarily because it has zero impact and no effect beyond the ugly error message.
A workaround that removes the error message is to populate the Primary DNS suffix of the machine before attempting the domain join.

Help. Going crazy with subclass.

I am extending class Client with myClient. Why do I get a symbol not found in the myClient() constructor?

Typically when you extend a class it is because you do want to initialize, and probably use, what is in that class. This rings doubly true when you created the parent class specifically for extending it in this project.
For example, why on earth would you override foo with the exact same method? I realize both are empty and you probably intend there to be different code in each, but as it currently stands, there is no reason to override foo, the foo in MyClient is just simply not needed.
But in my opinion your real problem here is you haven't figured out what constructors and methods are for. Constructors are for initializing a class, methods are for java code. Your example falls into some wierd gray area the myVar=xyz definitely fits and belongs in the constructor, but adding the additional text should probably be handled by a method since it appears that getting the different strings presumably for output is the crux of what you are trying to do.
The reason you don't want to initialize is because you think " take care" will somehow get added in if you run it the way you have it, which is exactly why this sort of stuff should not be in constructors. But rest assured, for as you have it, the string will not contain "Loser take care" because as soon as you set it to that you turn around and reset it to "Loser terminate his a**". Any other concerns you have about initialization the parent are equally unfounded in the code you provided.
Plus you don't seem to be aware that there can be more than one constructor. If you just added the following to class Client just above your current constructor;
public Client(){
} then you can remove the (xyz) in your super call and not have to worry about anything.

OMG I'm going crazy! (Windows Media Install not happening)

Whatever happened to Macs are supposed to be intuitive? Not so, not at least coming from system 9.2 to osx (v10.2). Anyway, I'm simply trying to get Windows Media Player to install and it's NOT happening! I've tried everything I can think of to make this install, YES I HAVE STUFFIT, and all I have now is a boatload of "Windows Media.sitx." everywhere. I've tried different downloads, and yes, I have many of those now too. I seem to have everything except a BRAIN - ugh. Can someone please send in the cavalry?

using version 6 to actually open the compressed file
and not an earlier version still on your Mac.

Help! I'm going crazy with the Export function!

I've spent all day googling and trying different methods but I keep having issue with the Export to Movie function in CS3. I have a short 2-minute long movie made of several video clips, cross dissolve transitions, and an mp3 for background music. Everytime I try to export it through File/Export/Movie, it fails with the "Error compiling video...". This happens to many formats available (Microsoft AVI, Microsoft DV AVI, Quicktime, etc.). The weird thing is that I was able to export it through Adobe Media Encoder. I tried several file formats this way sucessfully with the same project. I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it's doing the same thing. I'd really appreciate any advice to help me solve this problem.

Frame rate goes crazy with editable text sprite

This one is annoying - I have a lot of things that depend on
a steady,
predictable frame rate. But whenever you have the mouse
button held down on
an editable text sprite, the frame rate goes through the
roof. I don't know
what the numbers are exactly, but everything runs MUCH faster
than it
should. This can result in some major timing mis-syncs for
other events
happening on the stage. It looks like the OS is taking over
or something
when you're selecting text on a text sprite. Is there any
easy way around
this? Or should I just try and keep editable text sprites
from being used
on the same frame as time-sensitive code? I'm thinking I
could maybe get
around it by making the sprite non-editable and changing the
text manually
based on keypresses, but that sounds like a lot of work to
basically
reinvent the wheel here for something that should just work,
you know?

Well, what I do is something like:
global timeBase
on exitFrame
if the ticks - timeBase > 2 then
repeat while the ticks - timeBase > 2
timeBase = timeBase + 2
gameLoop()
end repeat
end if
end
So, even if the movie is lagging behind, the gameLoop()
executes at regular
intervals. If more than 2 ticks have passed between this
frame and the
previous, it will execute the gameLoop() script multiple
times in order to
catch up. All the important time-dependant stuff runs in
gameLoop().
This is not what the problem is, however. Most of my
animations on screen
are being shown as Film Loop sprites or in some cases
animated GIFs, and
these are what depend on the steady frameRate. If you click
on an editable
text object, the animations all suddenly speed up until you
release the
mouse button. I guess it's really more of an aesthetic thing
than anything
else, but it just looks really silly when everything suddenly
runs
super-fast just because you clicked on a text sprite.

Check the Mailto setting in Tools > Options > Applications and make sure that it is not set to Firefox.

System Events keystroke command going crazy with international text?

I have a python script return some text which I need to use with my AppleScript:

When the text returned is in English, both the dialog and the keystroke (the typing) are perfect.
However, if the text returned is in non-ascii chars, only the dialog displays it correctly but the keystroke is merely the text "aaa" or "ששש" (if Hebrew is the current input language).
Any ideas??

Got it figured out. It had to do with Splitting the table into 3 columns (I should have known better than to split such a large table like that). I merged the cells in the header and inserted a new table and that fixed all alignment issues and formatting issues. I figured this out by the highly scientific "Guess and check" method! Thanks for your time guys!

or the page turns grey saying ... no page found ... with a long link starting with groupiesearch blabla ..
it starting to be sooooo enoying that I want to throw out Safari ... but Im so used to this browser now that I actiually dont want to change..
All my pages info stuff is build in Safari for years so I dont want to restart with Firefox from zero ...
any help on this matter would be a timesaver ...

Use OpenDNS for better speed and more security and it's free.
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
Enter these numbers exactly as you see them here.
