Sync 1 iPod Touch to both a Mac and a PC?

My iTunes library lives on my iMac at home. I have a PC laptop that I use for traveling for work. I will be traveling in Europe for three weeks and can't put enough music and movies on my iPod Touch. Is it possible to sync my iPod Touch to both the iMac and to the PC? I would like to be able to put some of my music and a couple of movies on the PC and change out the movies and music on the iPod while in hotel rooms. The hotels will have WiFi available.

Can I move the songs and videos that I want to load on the iPod to the PC through WiFi and then resync the iPod to the PC for the return trip. Will this work?
Yes but if they are already loaded on the iPod from the other computer, why delete them from the iPod then put them back on the iPod?

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Can same iPod connect to both a Mac and a Windows PC?

Probably the easiest way to use an iPod on both Mac and Windows computers is to format the iPod (using iPod Updater) using the PC. This will force your iPod to use the Windows file system (FAT32) which both the Mac and PC can read from and write to without the help of additional software.
Of course then all your software updates for the iPod will have to be done on Windows.  
If you need to use a Mac (HFS+) formatted iPod on a Windows PC, you'll need to install some 3rd party software such as XPlay 2.0 or MacDrive (which you can get from MediaFour Software). This will enable your Windows PC to read a Mac-formatted iPod.

Syncing my ipod touch to my outlook contacts and calendar

I'm having problems syncing my Outlook contacts and calendar to my ipod touch. When I link my ipod to my computer and open iTunes it doesn't show that there is even an address book to sync with. I enable the task that says to sync with but the pull down tab has no options at all and it says no calendar application can be found. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and have tried making sure all of my software on both units are up to date. I can't find any troubleshooting information anywhere to help me resolve this issue. Someone please help! Is the problem with my iPod? my computer? with iTunes? or with Outlook? Thanks for all your help

What versions of iTunes and Outlook are running on the PC? You can get the version by launching the application and clicking Help> About.

we transferred purchases and synced from a iPod touch to a toshiba laptop, after it updated and synced again we have been unable to put the files back onto the ipod. the computer will not let us drag or copy paste files, and when we tried to " export" the library to the documents folder, it only showed up in code. we have books and music we would like to reload to the ipod.

It sounds like you are unable to manually put your content back on your iPod Touch.
It seems like you may need to re enable Manually Manage Music now that the device has been updated, and this article should help with that.

My iPod Touch 2 has to be position exactly the right way for iTunes to detect it. I have restored to non-jailbroken, tried a Google Search, I can't take it into Apple cuz' it is out of its Warranty, and it would probably cost like $100 dollars (NZD) so I have to find a fix. I believe it must be a Hardware issue but when I bought it like 5 years ago it charged fine with a Stock Apple charger. I now use a USB Sony iPod 30-pin charging dock cuz' its easier to connect it. When I restore sometimes, it gives me an error saying that the USB connection failed. If I get it fixed, I will jailbreak it and install OpenSSH and turn it into a server for my stuff. Looking at the bottom of my iPod (where I plug the connector in), it looks like this:

When you do a sync iTunes will only transfer the music you have selected. So you want to make sure that you select every song to sync.

If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. You can't auto-sync music and videos from multiple locations.

Sync iPod Touch with PC at home and Mac at work?

So I'm getting a free iPod Touch from work (Yay!). Is it possible to sync the calendar and contacts with Outlook (or another program) on my home PC, and also with iCal and Address Book on my Mac at work?

This hasn't been my experience actually. I can plug in my iPod Touch to my home Mac, and sync the calendars there, then I can plug into my work PC and sync my work calendar. The only thing I'm having trouble with, is that Outlook on my PC will not merge the other calendars, so if I enter a personal appoitnment on my home Mac, it will show up in a separate calendar on my iPod Touch, and not at all on Outlook on my PC... Not ideal, but at least my iPod Touch seems to have everything on it.

ITunes 10.5 is freezing up when i sync my iPod touch

When i sync my ipod touch it backs up fine and everything, then when it goes to copy the songs it freezes on the first one. i have to restart my laptop everytime for it to unfreeze. i've done this like 20 times. please help me im really getting frustrated... i've been doing this all morning.

Can you clear up those Apps in you iPod Touch's multitask window?
Double tap home button to bring up the multitask window. Hold an App in that window until it wiggles. Tap the red button to remove one by one until all window is cleared.
Then do a soft reset of your iPod Touch.
Hold both Home and Sleep button together for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo, then release. After reaching back to Home screen, sync it again and see if it will go through this time.
