Sync AddressBook with multiple iCloud account

Myself and my wife have separate Apple and thus iClound IDs, which we use the buy apps separately for our own iDevices.
However we would like to share the contacts created using Address Book on our iMac on all our devices.
So seamlessly enable this, I was wondering if there is a way to sync the mac Address Book with 2 iCloud account.
I have added 2 iCloud account, but address book seems to be syncing with only 1 iCloud account
Any help/suggestions ?

You can only sync with the iCloud account which was entered first into your preferences. You won't be able to do what you want with iCloud. If you're not in the habit of frequently changing contacts one of you could expord your contacts as a vCard and the other could import that into their Address Book.
In Address Book on your Mac, click one contact in the 'All' list then hit command-a to select all. From the File menu choose Export>vCard. Copy it to the other Mac.
On the other Mac choose Import from the File menu and select the vCard.
You might be able to sync your contacts with Google (free account) instead of iCloud: I don't know how reliable this is.

  • How to Configure iCloud with multiple iCloud accounts and one apple id

I need some help from the icloud experts. I almost have my arms around this, but not completely.
What I want to end up with is the following:
One account that both my wife and I use for shared contacts, calendars, photostream and find my device.
Separate account for my email among several devices.
Separate account for my wife for her email among several devices.
Now what I curently have is an apple id (*.mac.com), which is the main account used for purchases, etc. It has my mail, backups, and 25GB of space as a result from MobileMe.
I created a separate icloud account for my wife, using her Apple ID, so that her mail stayed separate from mine. However, now we have separate photo streams, contacts, etc, which is getting confusing and cumbersome.
I would like to keep my apple id as the main account since it already has the 25GB of space. So tell me if the following make sense.
I setup the master account using my apple id (the one with 25GB of space) for both of us, and enable the contacts and calendar syncing for all of our devices.
I turn the mail and Safari bookmarks syncing on for my devices; but turn it off  for my wife's devices.
Then I use my wife's account on her devices to sync her mail, bookmarks, etc.
Would this work or is there another combination to use? Ideally a family oriented apple id would be good for the master account, but it wouldn't have the 25GB of space unless I purchased it. I'm trying to get around that if possible. I have tried to find something like this on the discussion boards but haven't had luck yet.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Set up your mac.com account again on devices.  Turn off Mail and other data syncing with this account on your wife's devices for data that you want to keep separate.  Then set up a second ("secondary") iCloud account on your wife's devices to sync Mail.
If you already set up a separate iCloud account on your wife's devices, on her devices go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in your your mac.com ID.  Turn on the data you want to share with this account across all devices; don't turn Mail on.  Then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and enter her separate iCloud credentials and turn Mail to On.
The only downside to this approach is that her email will be fetch, not push email.  Push email is only supported in the main ("primary") account, not a secondary account.
The limitations to be aware of with secondary accounts are that only the primary account can be used for Photo Stream, Bookmarks, Documents, iCloud Backup and Find My Device.  Also, push mail only works for the primary account; secondary account mail is fetch.

  • HT5625 Can I sync calendar with 2 iCloud accounts?

Husband set up one iCloud account on iPad and set up a new one on iPhone. iMac will sink with his phone calendar but not iPad calendar. Any advise?

Syncing with iCloud requires using the same iCloud account.
Apparently the iPad is associated with a different iCloud account.
Check this on the iPad just in case.
    Tap Settings > iCloud
Make sure Calendars is swited ON.

  • Photostream with multiple iCloud accounts

Can I set it up so that photostreams from my phone and my wife's phone will both download to my PC?  If I set up both of our accounts, will I have to log out and log in to each one to get the downloads?
Is there a way yet for the photos she takes to show up in the photostream on my phone?  It would be nice if there were a simple way to automatically share media between devices that belong to different users within the same family.

I have successfully got this to work using my wife's iphone, my iphone, and our associated macs and ipads. Basically, you setup the other icloud account on your mobile devices, then deactivate everything accept photostream. Turn off contacts, mail, etc. on those accounts. It actually works, though you would think there would be an easier way to do this.

  • Sync with multiple iCloud accounts one on iMac

We have one iMac in the house, and have recently gotten 2 iPad's.
We want to be able to sync documents from the iPads to the iMac to work on, but want to have separate iPad accounts. Do we have to setup different user logons on the iMac, or can the iMac sync with two separate iClouds at once?

We do want to completely share music, is it possible to keep just one music account? And ideally we only want to pay for apps once, so would both like to be able to download whatever apps we wanted.
If i setup multiple accounts on the iMac, is it possible to share files between accounts without having to logout?

  • IPhone sync apps with multiple iTunes accounts

I have a US iTunes account and a UK iTunes account because I am temporarily living in the UK. I am having a problem in which data associated with certain apps on my iPhone are periodically being deleted.  When I update apps, I am sometimes required to login to the US store and sometimes the UK store.  I think this depends on which store they were downloaded from but I don't know how to tell. I frequently get messages when I try to update that say I need to log into a different iTunes store to do the update.  I am guessing that if I were to update apps that were obtained from the UK store while logged in to the US store, it might replace the app with a different version and in the process wipe the associated data.  Is that possible?   Is there a better way to deal with the situation so this does not happen?

Not sure. There have been other posts about syncing from two computers. Maybe you can find a previous post about this with a forum search.

  • Syncing contacts with multiple .me accounts

My wife and I both have a .mac/.me account. She runs iphone 4s & ipad 2 whilst I run iphone 3gs, macbook and imac. All now run IOS5/Lion and I transferred last week from mobile me to icloud.
However, with mobileme we used to share contacts and calendars. I've worked out how we can continue to see a 'joint' calendar' [by adding my account to her iphone for calendar only] but cannot seem to do the same in respect of shared contacts.
We both have our own contacts which must stay on our own devices but I had assumed that the sharing of mutual data that was submitted by either of us via any our devices would be easier via icloud. Instead it seems harder since icloud has to attach to one or other of our identities, unlike mobile me.
Obviuosly I can go through Clare's contacts in icloud and manually delete each individual of my contacts, but how do I add my contacts that she wants also on an ongoing basis please?
Have I missed something fundamental ? [highly likely...]
    Many thanks, Bob

I'm not sure how you have added your calendar for your wife to share on her device. But you can add your account to her device through settings > mail, contacts, calendars, and should then be able to enable both contacts and calendars from that settings panel. You can then manage contacts and calendars by groups in each application.

  • How to backup multiple iphones with different iCloud accounts but same apple id?

I would like to back up 3 idevices each with different icloud accounts to itunes. But they use the same apple id so that itune purchases can be installed on each device (2 iphones and 1 ipad).
All I want to do is create a backup in case the phones need to be restored. I also want to back up before downloading iOS 8.
The Macbook Pro that I will back up to has one user and one itunes library.
Is this possible without mixing up address books and contacts etc? Appreciate if some one could direct me to detail step-by-step instructions if they exist or please tell me how I can do this.
    Thanks.

With Family Sharing they don't need to have the same Apple ID anymore.
But backups to iTunes are kept separate among multiple devices; Apple ID and iCloud isn't involved at all. Just make sure the devices do not have the same name.

  • How can I use multiple icloud Accounts with Fotos?

    Hello.
Yesterday, my wife and I started using the new App "Fotos" on OSX and iOS.
What I can't figure out, and where I would like to get some insight and help, is how we should use our icloud Accounts.
    How it is right now:
    - Wife (MacBook and iPhone)
Has her own icloud-Account ([email protected]) for Backup (iOS) and Fotosync, Keychainsync, Bookmarks. 20GB iCloud-Account (18GB free).
    - Husband (MacBook, Mac Mini and iPhone and iPad)
Has his own icloud-Account ([email protected]) for Backup (iOS) and Fotosync, Keychainsync, Bookmarks. 20GB iCloud Account (10 GB free).
    - Husband has about 400 GB of Photos from over 10 Years on Mac Mini
How I want it to be:
    - Husband
upgrades to at least the 500GB Account, to use for all 400GB of Photos and Backup, Keychainsync, Bookmarks.
    - Wife
Has her own Account ([email protected]) for Keychain and Bookmark, but uses [email protected] on MacBook and iPhone for Backup an Fotosync, so that all Photos are stored in a single one family "container". All Photos in one Place without being able to forget to put them there.
I don't see, how I can accomplish that, since only one "real" icloud account seems to be possible in iOS, so that if i put my account in her iPhone I would get the Photo and Backup I want, but she would not be able to sync her own bookmarks an keychain any more.
Any thought on how to resolve this?
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks for your ideas,
    thomas

Yes, you could have multiple iCloud accounts for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Safari, Notes, and Find My iPhone, but only one primary iCloud account for Photo Stream, Documents & Data, and Storage & Backup.

  • HT204053 can i have multiple iCloud accounts with the same Apple id

Can i have multiple iCloud accounts with the same Apple id

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
No, your ID is essentially your account. You can have email aliases and you can have multiple accounts, but I don't think that's what you are asking.

I recently changed my apple ID but my previous apple ID is associated with my icloud account. I'm setting up my new iphone 6 and cannot complete the set up until I can sync my icloud account. Does anyone know how to change the icloud id?

    Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPhone and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your phone).

Can I sync multiple icloud accounts to a mac

You can add additional iCloud accouts to your Mac as secondary accounts by going to System Preferences>Internet Accounts (Mail,Contacts,Calendars)>iCloud and entering your credentials.  Secondary accounts will only sync mail, contacts, calendars, reminders and notes.
Additionally, you can sign into different iCoud accounts in different user accounts.
