Sync All Movies automatically

When connecting ipod touch to itunes, under the video tab, there is an option (radio button) to "sync all movies", so whenever a new movie is added to the library, it syncs it with no further action. When connecting an iphone 3g to the same version of itunes, that option is gone, you can only check "sync movies" and you have to check each individual movie that has been added to the library. Why is this?

The 2nd-gen iPad's screen is only 1024x768, and current HD movies from the iTunes store are 1080p , 1920x1080, so to the best of my knowledge the non-retina iPads can't show them. But that won't explain why SD movies won't sync. Try rebooting the iPad, as Demo suggested above, if you haven't done so already.
As to getting SD copies, log into your iTunes Store account and on the main iTunes Store page, go to Purchases under the Quick Links and then select Movies. Click the "Not On This Computer" button. Uncheck the "Download HD when available" box and you should then see the SD copies of the movies and be able to download them.

Hi,
I just imported 453 short movie clips (totaling around 1.8 GB) into iTunes and now I want to synchronize them to my iPhone. I noticed that the option to "Sync All Movies" as found in previous versions of iTunes or perhaps only enabled for other devices is missing from the Videos tab under my iPhone's sync options. Is Apple seriously suggesting that I have to manually check off 453 boxes in a list box that only displays 10 items vertically at a time? I'm at a loss for words.
If there's any way I can have iTunes automatically do this, please let me know. Here's a screenshot of the feature in question, MIA for me:

My mistake, apparently shift clicking one item selects them all. I was trying to do the Windows CTRL + A shortcut (which works in the Library view but not in the list box of Videos to sync).
I guess that makes me a typical Windows user.

IPad won't sync all movies

I am trying to sync my iPad with my movies brought from iTunes but not all will transfer. Why?

Do you have enough space free? Movies are fairly big. I only ever have 1 or 2 at a time.
Is your iPad using the same Apple ID as your iTunes?
Do other purchases sync ok?

After upgrading/syncing all movies and music are hidden

on my ipad. Anybody having this problem? With ipad connected to Mac, I clicked on down arrow in left pane (in itunes) and played music and then movie, then ejected the ipad. I looked on ipad - Music/Movies still hidden. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I tried the classic restorer version 1.2.0beta1 and here are my results. In the first picture, you can now see the full tab, but the icons at the upper right (to minimize the browser window, to maximize the browser window, and to close the browser window) have all disappeared. In the second window, I used the default view and the above icons are back, however the tabs are decimated.
I normally use TabMixPlus but turned it off for these tests.
THIS JUST IN..... I think I've solved it!
Use the latest Classic Theme Restorer (the beta above) and set the following:
- Set tabsontop=FALSE
- UNCHECK tabsontitlebar

ITunes won't sync all movies to Apple TV!

Hi,
I have an Apple TV with a US iTunes Store account. I bought 7 movies. And iTunes only copies one movie, Letters to Juliet, to the Apple TV. Whichever setting I try, it only copies that one!
What do I need to do?
I have reset the Apple TV twice and it still didn't work. I have given out the authorizations multiple times, reset those and re-authorized them again.. But no success.. I am on a stand still, don't know what to do!
Can someone help me?

If I were you I would contact the iTunes support team directly. I once had a problem where my iTunes gift cards were not redeeming, but once I contacted the iTunes support team via email, they were able to fix everything.

Help syncing iTunes Movie Rental to iPhone

Hi,
I just rented a movie from the iTunes store and it plays in itunes but I can't transfer it to my iphone. I clicked on my iphone while in itunes and changed the settings to sync all movies to my iphone but nothing happens. It doesn't even show up under videos. Has anyone else had any trouble transfering rentals to their iphone. Any help would be greatly appricated.

Is your iTunes version 7.6?
When I select the iPhone Video Tab, it shows 3 sections, Rented Movies, then TV Shows, then Movies. It also states in the Rented Movies section that "You must be connected to the internet to transfer rented movie."
From iTunes help: "After the movie downloads to your computer, to transfer the rental to an iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV, connect the device, select it in iTunes, click the Movies tab, select the movie, and then click Move.
After you transfer a rental, it is removed from your iTunes library."

I need to move my library to a new computer. This is music downloaded from CD's. Is the only way to do this is to sync all songs to my ipod and they transfer them to the new computer?

If using a Mac, use Migration Assistant to move your iTunes library from old computer to new. Afterwards you can sync from your new computer to your iPod.

All of a sudden my iPad will not sync my movies

I have an iPad2. It has plenty of space and no restrictions on it. I have several movies that I own that I have converted with RipIt to Movie files for the iPad. I have synced these movies sucesessfully since I have had my iPad to watch on flights, until tonight. I was doing some spring cleaning, clearing out apps I no longer use and movies I had watched. When I synced my iPad ALL my movies were removed. Under movies in iTunes they are checked and when I sync Sync Movies, it starts to sync them and then stops and seemingly removes them. Is this a new iOS6 thing. If it didn't come from the Apple Store I can no longer watch them? They are all .m4v and there has never been a problem until tonight.
To reiterate:
This is an iPad2 running iOS6
Sync Movies is Checked along with the 3 movies I want to Sync checked
The are NO restrictions and 8.2 GB of free memory
There shouldn't be a problem but, there is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I there a way to sync all my music from iTunes on my different computers including my work computer? I have all the computers authorized but when I buy a new somg and download it, it does not show up on my work computer when I start iTunes.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

Itunes not syncing Videos/Movies

Itunes will not sync my movies, rentals, nor videos i have bought from itunes.
This is my 3rd ipod classic given to me by the apple store to "fix" the problem that has yet to be "fixed". It will sync the very first time i plug it in as in, just straight out of the package. but never again will it sync. i have tried loading it maunally but that doesnt work either. and since all the people do at the store is hand me a new one i have no other options.

I had that same problem when I tried adding the "Blue Harvest" digital copy to my itunes (family guy movie). If you have an ipod "nano," which one is it? Be sure that the iPod you are using is video capable and has enough memory to take on a movie or video. A 40~45 minute TV show eats up about 450~500mb.
I have the new square looking 3rd generation iPod, so I'll try help. What you do is make sure the cord is NOT connected to your computer yet, plug it into your ipod, then plug the other end into the USB port. It should automatically sync up. After the syncing is complete, select your ipod in the column on the left hand side of the screen. It should look like a little ipod in the column of music lists and other stuff.
Once that is selected, you should see something that has the amount of space that's on your ipod and other interesting information showing on the main menu on your itunes. If you look at the top of that, there should be a row of tabs. Click the one that says Movies/Videos (one or the other, not sure right now, but it should be obvious which tab to click).
Once that is selected, there will be two options. One will already be set, click the other one and set it up so that it syncs up your selected movies, videos, tv shows, etc...
Right after that, don't go anywhere, click on APPLY at the bottom of the screen. It should start syncing up again and that will add the movies/videos to your ipod. It may take a little while to load up, but no more than a few minutes.

Iphoto syncs all at once

Hi,
since a while, when I sync my iphone 3G, the itunes automatically whants to sync all of my thousands of photos from iphoto, even though I click in the itunes photo sync window only the few events I want to sync. So I am unable to sync my choosen photos to the iphone: it wants to take all at once or nothing, and for all my photos there is no space on the iphone. I thought that the OS4 update maybe solve the problem, but it persists. Does anyone have an advice?

I'm having the same issue as well. Some not all of the songs purchased are showing the cloud by it indicating the songs need to be downloaded, even though they are already. Not just in Music, but Movies and TV Shows. I thought it might be a corrupt library file, changed it, and that wasn't the problem.

Iphone syncing all reminders regardless of what i select?

In the mail,contacts,calendars menu, I have an option to sync reminders 2 weeks back, 1 month back, etc. Regardless of what I select, my iphone 4s ios 5.1.1 syncs all of the reminders in icloud. The option for calendars works correctly, however.
Am I doing something wrong or is this yet another apple bug?

OK, thanks for taking the time. I did this and it did nothing to solve the issue. Not only that, but the behavior is even stranger. For good measure, I made a new smart playlist on my Mac based on rating, last played and limited to 100 songs. The playlist came up by name on the iPhone, but with almost entirely different songs. At first they seemed to be playing ok (meaning, the song I selected actually played), but soon the same problem started happening. Almost all the songs I select will briefly show in the "now playing window" but then almost immediately it moves on to some other song. What's stranger is that while most of the time that other song moves to the bottom of the playlist, sometimes it just disappears entirely from the playlist. As in, it will still be playing but it is nowhere to be found on the list.
I should mention that as part of my troubleshooting today I tried all this on my ipod touch, on which I hadn't even activated iTunes Match before, and had the same problem.
Upon further testing, it seems like whatever song itunes decides to play in lieu of the one I want it to, that song either moves to the bottom of the playlist or just disappears.
If I play songs by going to the artist->album route, they play fine. That kinda defeats the purpose of having a smart playlist automatically shuffle what's on my phone.
Also, it seems to have nothing to do with whether the songs are matched or uploaded.
Getting pretty annoyed. I mean, being able to play the song I select isn't too much to ask, is it?
