Sync and previous not working in lightroom 3

In lightroom 3 when I sync photos not every photo is getting the sync setting some of the photos are getting a red tint or faded down look over the complete image I try to set them back to original and they won't go back. This is also happening in previous and copy and paste some times the functions work and take prior setting and other time it wigs the whole photo out. This never happened in 2 what is up

no I am have not applied those effects to the prior photo I have set white balance to overall image, fill and recovery, brightness, contrast, sharpen, and noise reduction to over all image not any specific point, when I select preceeding images and select sync some but not all of the synced images not have a a red opacity over the complete image and some are synced correctly

I have an Iphone 4S and an Ipad that will not transfer my itunes music from my PC to the devises. My bluetooth is also not working. I have asked Apple Support and they are unable to resolve the issue. Any suggestions?

To transfer music from your PC to your devices install the latest version of iTunes on your PC, then connect a device using the USB cable. Click on its name in iTunes when it appears, click the music tab, select the music you want on the device, and click "sync".
What part of BlueTooth is not working? You cannot use BlueTooth to transfer music or other files. It is only for audio devices and their controls.

Apple TV will no longer Sync and YouTube Not Working

Recently my Apple TV (160GB version) has stopped syncing with my copy of iTunes.
Previously it synced fine and when ever I lunched iTunes it would show up under my devices. But now it behaves rather strangely. Every now and again my Apple TV shows up in iTunes (E.g. every few days for about 2 minutes when previously it was always there) and when I try and press the sync button it says it is syncing but nothing ever syncs.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Both my MacBook and Apple TV are connected wirelessly to an Apple AirPort Extreme (both are within range and show up as connected to the base station).
I have checked and I have iTunes music sharing allowed on my MacBook.
I also just noticed that my Apple TV no longer connects to You Tube (can't see any videos if I am signed in or not). Although in AirPort utility it says my Apple TV is connected to the base station (signal = -79, Noise = -92, Rate = 1) and my Apple TV says it's connected to the network.
I tried to in my Apple TV into my MacBook via a Ethernet cable (went into the sharing option in System Pref and started "Sharing your AirPort connection" to computers using "Built-in Ethernet") and it synced my content from iTunes but I still am unable to access You Tube. For example I go into the You Tube menu and click "Most Viewed" and it takes about 2-3 minutes to load the page before an error message is displayed.
I also noticed I can't watch any film trailers (although I only attempted to do this for the first time today), the names of the films come up with the description but the film image on the left and the actual trailer do not load. Do I need to open up extra ports on my MacBook to get this all to work?
Sorry if all that was very wordy but I love my little Apple TV as it lets me watch Podcasts and You Tube videos on my TV. Any help on getting this fixed would be really useful.

Welcome to the  discussion forums.
Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade.

Pocket Sync and 8330 not working

So I just got a new BlackBerry Curve (8330 v4.3.0.127) and I cannot get Pocket Sync to find my phone for the life of me. My Mac (10.5.5) can find my memory device in the phone when I'm in Mass Storage Mode but no luck other then that.
Please help!

I also can't get pocket sync to work with my 8830. I've reinstalled several times and sat on the phone with RIM support for an hour while we tried multiple ways to get it working...again, reinstalling. This is ridiculous and I'm ready to find another device! Someone from RIM please help!! I run my business on my 8830 while I travel and if I can't get my device to sync with my laptop, the device is useless to me.

Syncing and streaming not working properly

I have several movies recorded from television that I normally sync to my iphone through itunes. Recently I got Apple TV. Now I format the television recordings for Apple TV. I use an Airport Express as my wireless router. When syncing the Apple TV through iTunes, I have never been able to successfully complete a single television program (avg 1.5 GB) without the Apple TV losing connection from the wireless network. While still frustrating, the workaround has been to stream the programs to the Apple TV. These programs, however, only show on Apple TV once I begin syncing. If while syncing the connection fails, Apple TV fails to recognize the stream and the program stops. I've tried turning off syncing so that I could only watch via stream, but doing so removes the Apple TV from my devices list in iTunes at which point the only way I can reestablish the connection is to disconnect from my computer through the Apple TV interface and then reestablish he connection by running into the other room and inputing the code that was given on my television screen.
In an effort to isolate the cause of the problem, I checked my iPhone's connection to the wireless network in the house. It turns out that at the same time the Apple TV stops syncing/loses connectivity, the iPhone too loses its wifi connection and switches to 3G. Of course my initial conclusion was that the problem lies with the Airport Express. But then when I check the wifi connection on both of my iMacs, both have solid and full connections to the wireless network. So what's the deal? Are the devices competing for bandwidth? Or does the iMac have a stronger receiver as compared to the iPhone and Apple TV?
I would appreciate if someone could help me resolve this once and for all. Thank you in advance.

download iStumbler (free) or AirRadar (it has a trial period) and note the channels other networks in your vicinity are broadcasting on. change the channel of your network as far away as possible from those as per WC's advice.
another, more powerful tool, would be KisMac. however, be aware that in some countries the use of KisMac may not be legal !

Sync and download not working

I recently changed my Apple ID and password. Now my IPOD touch will not snyc and download new purchases. My Ipod still shows my old ID. Is this causing the problem and how do I fix?

Did you go to Settings>iTunes and App Stiore and sign out and sign back in?
Also note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Ipod classic will not restore and will not work after many attempts

I have purchased and replaced 3 ipod models, This is my third one (80GB ipod classic) and with out fail after 1 year and 2 months after buying it, it stopped syncing with my itunes and now after 5 attempts to restore it will not restore and will not work. What error message are you getting? If none then in Lightroom Preferences> General> check "reset all warning dialogs"
Try again and see what message pops up.

LR5.7, drag and drop not working...suggestions?

Two days ago, drag and drop stopped working within lightroom (dragging a photo/photos from the filmstrip at the bottom to a different folder, or into a collection). The cursor on the screen stays an arrow when you click on a photo and hold the left mouse button down, it will highlight the image in the filmstrip or grid view, but will not do anything with it. I've never had anything like this happen before. iMac, 32gb ram, OSX 10.10.1, LR5.7.

Photo bundle serial will not work in lightroom 5.4.

I just bought a photo bundle membership but the serial number will not work in lightroom 5.4.
I hade a tril version of LR5.4 which has now run out so I purchased the PhotoShop LightRoom bundle but the serial number will not activate LightRoom.
I get a big red x

You have to install Lightroom 5.4 through the CC Application Manager. Before you can do this proceed as follows.
Uninstall the LR 5.4 trial (Mac drag the application from your Application sub folder) win use the Control Panel feature to uninstall. Your user presets, catalog etc will remain in place.Reboot your system then open the CC Application Manager and the LR download should be available for download. You will not have to actually input the serial number.
Both applications are the same just the licensing procedure is different in the Creative Cloud.

I tried importing email addresses from gmail and now my address book is locked up and will not work. Do I need to delete my address book software and reinstall? If so, what is the proper way to do this? New to Macbook software. I have tried several things and nothing has helped. I have backed up photos, movies, etc. My addresses are on my iphone so I can sync them later right if I loose my data?

You can probably resolve this by removing some Address Book preference files rather than deleting your Address Book application.
First turn off Synchronize in Address Book Preferences if you can.
Next restart Address Book and try to export everything to your Desktop.
I have had a play and found my Address Book preference files. In the following ~/Library is the Library within your Home folder. Any numerals may differ on your Mac. Quit Address Book before doing anything with these.
1 - Display details and things set in Address Book Preferences
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
2 - Has no data - not sure what this does
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
3 - Has last sync date - may have more if I used sync
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.AddressBook.sync.000393735c06.plist
4 - My contact details
/Library/Preferences/AddressBookMe.plist
5 - Individual addresses and groups stored as separate files within:
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Metadata
6 - All of these addresses are are also in this single database:
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook-v22.abcddb
If you wish to remove all addresses drag both 5 & 6 to your Desktop.
If you wish to reset preferences drag 1 your Desktop.
Removing 3 may resolve sync issues but I am unable to test this.
If you wish to reset everything drag all except 4 to your desktop.

You're right, problem wasn't actually solved. In fact, yesterday I upgraded the whole system again and the same problem showed up, but I got it fixed.
Same scenario: after a boot (shorter than usual), what I had was a tty, but I noticed something that I hadn't noticed the last time: the prompt said "Arch Linux 3.11.[?]".
The kernel version was supposed to be 3.12.[?] so I started investigating and after several attempts, this is how I got the system working again:
1. Chrooted into the system
2. Wiped /boot
3. Re-installed grub
4. Re-installed linux kernel
5. Re-created grub.cfg
6. ???
7. Profit
I'm pretty sure that what originated the problem wasn't a "kernel issue" as I pointed out in my previous post, but it was an incorrect installation of grub: in fact, the grub prompt never showed up before yesterday, the system used to boot straight, ignoring the 5 seconds timeout.

I don't use sync and am not signed in? Why are my bookmarks syncing?

My office computer has one set of bookmarks I use at work. My home PC has another, different set of bookmarks that I use at home. I don't use sync and am not signed into sync on either PC. Why are my bookmarks syncing between the two PCs? For instance, I noticed several bookmarks near the top of my bookmark menu above a separator line that I do not use at work. I deleted them. I get home and find those same bookmarks gone from my home PC. I don't want to sync anything between the two computers, why is this happening?

Perhaps an add-on is syncing these for you.
