Sync bookmarks across two Windows 7 using Firefox 29?

Hello Everyone,
I have two windows 7's workstations. One workstation is a new install. The other is a laptop. On the new install I loaded Firefox 29. Didn't sync with the old sync server. So I upgraded the laptop to Firefox 29. I signed up for the new sync on both workstations. On the new install workstation no book marks have been moved from the laptop..
Any help would be great.
David

  • Syncing bookmarks between two OSes on the same computer?

I have a MacBook Pro dual-booted with both OSX and Windows 7. I want to sync my Firefox bookmarks on both OSes. Firefox wants me to "pair my devices" in order to sync bookmarks, but I cannot pair the devices because it is one single laptop. I cannot have OSX and Win7 booted at the same time. • Sync iWeb Across Two Macs

I have an iMac and a MacBook Pro. Recently I have had the urge to start a website/blog and would like to do so using iWeb. I plan to do some work from each computer. I have a MobileMe subscription. Is there a way to sync my iWeb site across the two machines using MobileMe?
I am on iLife '09 and SnowLeopard.

Scott ~ Rather than trying to use MobileMe's Sync feature, you'll perhaps have better control simply manually copying iWeb's Domain file to your other Mac via your iDisk on MobileMe:

Problems with iWeb's blog are a recurring theme on these forums: Lost all blog entries or all comments or unable to publish, etc. If you switch to a dedicated blogging platform you're likely to have a better experience. For a success story using a non-iWeb blog hosted on WordPress, see this old thread:

  • Open in a new window using Firefox

    Howdy, my site is
    http://www.makelikeanoctopusandeatyourselfmusic.com/
and if you click on the last 'button 2' and then the 'Stigma' link
you'll notice if you're using Internet Explorer that the when
clicked the link opens up in a window as intended but if you are
using Firefox the link does nothing when clicked.
Any idea how I can fix it so it opens up for Firefox users?
    Thanks

Ah, yeah, that was the problem. Thanks for taking the time to

  • Can I sync Bookmarks from my Windows Home Server? I have a Shared folder called Favorites I use with IE9

I have my "Favorites" (Bookmarks) saved in a Shared folder on my Windows Home Server v1. I would like to use them as my Bookmarks in Firefox. Is there a way to do this, with or without the Sync feature?
    Thanks

On iOS 5+ the photos will be sorted by their 'data modified' field, so you will need to adjust that on them to get them into a different order : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4221
Or there are third-party photo management apps such as Photo Manager Pro which allow you to change their order within the app e.g. by name, date, or you can drag them into your own order

  • How do I see, organise and delete unsorted bookmarks? I am using Firefox 3.6.6 on a Mac with OS X 10.5.8

How do I see, sort and delete unsorted bookmarks in Firefox 3.6.6? Using Mac OS X 10.5.8. All bookmarks not in folders already seem to be in a lump called unsorted bookmarks in the Library but I can't open this to see them. I have deleted some from the bookmarks menu via the blue star it does not work with sites without an icon. pls help

I have this same problem. I want the ability to remove links from the unsorted bookmarks or the entire category altogether.
If there is no resolution, I could delete all Firefox files after saving my important bookmarks to Safari then come back and reload Firefox.
Why Mozilla does not take this concern whole heartily I do not know.
I have seen complaint about this dating back over two years.

  • How to synchronize my bookmarks between two desktops running firefox?

I do hope there's a simple way to achieve this, otherwise I would be terrible dissapointed.
All I wanted was the good old Xmarks funtionality, but using mozilla servers.
After many attempts, I still can't achieve this thing that should be absolutely trivial.
I registered my user in firefox sync, then in another computer I just expected to enter my username and password and to synchronize my bookmarks, but I couldn't achieve it.
Now I just want to reset my account and start from scratch with a simple guide. I'd like to upload my bookmarks again from my primary desktop, and then being able to download those very same bookmarks from any other desktop (the usual xmarks stuff)
Is it possible to do it in a simple way, or shall I just quit firefox sync for good and go with xmarks?
    saludos

You can take a look at Sync.

    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/add-a-device-to-firefox-sync
    # open "Tools > Options > Sync" or "Firefox > Set Up Sync"
    # click "Set Up Firefox Sync" to go to "Firefox Sync Setup"
To add more devices you can either pair a device or enter the credentials manually.
    # click "I Have an Account" : Connect
    # click "I don't have the device with me" at the bottom to enter the account settings (email, password, sync key) manually
You can click the "Sync Options" button at the bottom to select what to sync.

  • How to sync tags across several computers using DropBox

I use DropBox on several Macs - Mini, MacBook etc - and have set up tags within the DropBox on one.  How do I get the tags to synchronise across each of the Macs without having to rewrite them in each time?

    Hi,
I don't think this is possible, at least with any Outlook built-in features, as each Outlook client has it's own data file (.pst file) which need to be synced with the server.
If the major problem is the bandwidth, maybe you can prevent Microsoft Outlook from automatically downloading email messages by unticking the option of "Schedule an automatic send/receive every _ minutes." in
    Tools>Options...>Mail Setup
    tab>Send/Receive... button.
Then you can download emails in Outlook when the bandwidth allows, by manually clicking Send/Receive button.

  • Sync iCal across two computers?

    Hi there -
I just bought a router, and it's working beautifully. I was wondering if it is possible to sync my iCal from my home desktop iMac to my iBook (without using .Mac or a palm device) through my router?

As indicated above, the solution is to use SyncTogether from Mark/Space.
You should never attempt to use a Palm device as a data 'carrier' to synchronize data, as severe record corruption will result.
The synchronization framework, including clients like the Address Book, iCal, iSync and the iSync Palm Conduit, as well as replacements for it like the Missing Sync for Palm OS and supplemental sync-aware applications like Entourage, Transmit and Yojimbo are not intended to support such procedures. You need to use a dedicated tool like SyncTogether or .Mac Sync to achieve what you want.

  • I need to bring bookmarks from 1 computer, using Firefox, to another - also using Firefox. Is there a 'bookmarks' file somewhere on computer A that I can move to B? If so, where do I put it ? If not, what do I do? Thanks.

That's all the detail I have.

You can also use the most recent JSON (bookmarks-xxxx-xx-xx.json) backup in the bookmarkbackups folder and copy that file to the other computer to restore bookmarks.
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore > Choose File

  • Import bookmarks from another pc using firefox browser

I know to go to sync, but I cannot put in my birthdate because the dropdown box doesn't work on the old computer from which I want to export my bookmarks.

    Sync doesn't "import" or "export".
See this support article - [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/exporting+bookmarks+to+an+HTML+file Export bookmarks]
