Sync bookmarks fromcomputer with windows xp to new computer with windows 7

I have anew netbook with windows 7. I want to sync my bookmarks from my desktop with windows 7. Everytime I go to add a device I get the help page and not a way to enter the code. What do I do?

Syncing with new computer
1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.

If you do not have a back up of the crashed hard drive you can download an app to copy from the iPhone to iTunes on the new hard drive.
I have used Pod2Mac. There is also Pod2PC.
There are numerous choices, some free, some payed. Do a Google search.

okay from reading posts it seems if I transfer my backed up info from my old comp to the new one and erase my dad's phone's back up i could reset my phone and it would transfer all my old data back onto the phone, be linked to the new computer and i could proceed. Where do i find the backed up info from my phone?

Sync bookmarks across two Windows 7 using Firefox 29?

Hello Everyone,
I have two windows 7's workstations. One workstation is a new install. The other is a laptop. On the new install I loaded Firefox 29. Didn't sync with the old sync server. So I upgraded the laptop to Firefox 29. I signed up for the new sync on both workstations. On the new install workstation no book marks have been moved from the laptop..
Any help would be great.

My laptop crashed and now I want to import all my synced bookmarks on my tablet to my new laptop.

My android tablet have all my old desktop bookmarks and I want to synd them (export them) to my new computer. I understand I need the recovery key, but I dont have it saved and onviously cant get it out of my old computer. about:synckey isn't working on my tablet, it says it won't install since the addon is not working on my version 18 firefox. There was a modified about:synckey supposedly working for firefox 17, but with the file ending ipx I'm not sure how to get it to work.
I've also tried exporting the bookmarks to an html file. However, one app took the bookmarks from the standard web browser, another one exported only the history.
Is there someway to get the desktop bookmarks to synd with my new computer? Either to get the recovery key or managing to export the bookmarks?

Try to create a new profile folder on the desktop computer and setup sync on that computer to retrieve the bookmarks.

I have a MacBook Pro dual-booted with both OSX and Windows 7. I want to sync my Firefox bookmarks on both OSes. Firefox wants me to "pair my devices" in order to sync bookmarks, but I cannot pair the devices because it is one single laptop. I cannot have OSX and Win7 booted at the same time. How do I sync my bookmarks between both?

I am in need of some assistance. I had my iPod Touch synced with my computer, but my computer died and I cannot fix it. I bought a new computer and put iTunes on it, but it tells me that if I want to sync my iPod with it, it will have to erase everything I have put on my iPod. You can sync to any computer you like. You can sycn to your new computer. You have simply failed to keep your content safe.
Apple assumes that you will do the very basics of owning a computer and maintain a backup copy of your computer.
The only issue here is that you failed to do the basics.

This is one reason why maintaining a backup of all important data on your computer's hard drive is important stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only which should include your iTunes library.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod/iPhone/iPad, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. With your iPad connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPad.
Before syncing contacts and calendar events with an empty supported address book and calendar application, enter one contact in the address book and one calendar event in the calendar application on your computer. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process is a one way transfer process only. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on the iPad as part of the iTunes sync/transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced. There are 3rd party paid utilities available that provide for transferring this data in the opposite direction with an iPhone, but if successful the original resolution of these photos will be lost in the process. Photos store on your computer's hard drive should be included with your computer's backup also.

My old Gateway laptop died (about 2 years old)but the harddrive is still good.
