Sync both calendars on handheld to Groupwise Calendar

On my handheld blackberry, I have a Desktop calendar and a calendar with my email address that corresponds to my Groupwise Calendar.
I am using 4.7 Desktop Software and a wired sync.  The Groupwise Calendar syncs just fine.
However, the handheld Desktop calendar does not sync at all.
When I enter an item on the handheld it automatically is added to the desktop calendar.  There were also about 200 items that were transfered from an old phone onto the desktop calendar.
I need to know how to move the desktop calendar items into the groupwise calendar.  Or how to sync the desktop calendar items into groupwise via the desktop software.
Thanks for any assistance or information that you can provide.
Jeff

BTW this issue is on a pearl phone.  I've noticed that if you view the Groupwise email calendar and then create an even it goes to that calendar.  If I'm viewing all calendars, it automatically goes to the Desktop Calendar.  If I only use the groupwise calendar and do not view the desktop calendar I should be fine.  The problem is with the 250 events already in the desktop calendar that I can't seem to move to the groupwise calendar.
I have  blackberry curve that hooks up to groupwise via the enterprise activation.  It gives me the option on any event to choose "send using" and I can change it from the desktop calendar to my groupwise email calendar.  Is this feature there because I'm using the enterprise solution with it or is the curve software different?

How can I get Itunes to see both calendars?

    Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.
If you hit a snag talk back to me.
    Cheers.

If you're trying to sync an iCloud calendar, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar on your iPhone and make sure you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default.

  • Possible to sync GroupWise calendar info?

Anyone know of a way to sync GroupWise calendar info to the iPhone 3G?
My office uses GroupWise. Ideally, I'd like to be able to sync my GroupWise work calendar and also have a personal calendar separately, but for now would be happy just to have a way to get my GroupWise calendar data to sync without having to manually enter it separately into a completely different calendar.

The only way I have found to get my calender onto my iPhone is to use this scraper program by Ben Galbraith which can be found here:
    http://galbraiths.org/blog/2007/04/11/groupwise-exporter-10/
It is not the most elegant solution but it works, and this is the only thing that I have found that works! What you do is enter in your groupwise login and password and point the script to your company's groupwise webmail site. It then scrapes your webcalender and serves out (via an open port on your machine) an iCal calender. Then you open up iCal and subscribe to you current IP address and port. You groupwise calender then shows up in iCal and can be synced to your iPhone. Note that this is a read only solution and you can not add calender items.
What would be an even more elegant solution would be if iCal or the iPhone was some how able to interpret and sync to the IMAP calender. Maybe someone has already figured this one out. If so then let me know.

  • Sharing a  groupwise calendar through iCal

I use an iPhone for my work but our appointments and mail are managed through groupwise. While my groupwise calendar syncs fine with iCal, the problem I'm having is that there is no "share" option in iCal for me to share that calendar with my partner. I can share any other calendar but not that one. Any ideas??
    Thanks in advance...
    WI

Very clear question, but it doesn't look like there's a good answer for you. The MobileMe entries are "all or nothing" - each machine synced to that one account would receive ALL of the subscribed calendars.
Note that you could always choose to disable (i.e. not view) the calendars which you don't want to see, within iCal, just be unchecking them in the list. So, your display would enable your calendars, including the shared entry; and her display would enable only her calendars, including the shared entry. The others would still exist on each machine, but they wouldn't clutter your iCal display, if you didn't want them to.
Outside of that, the only want to have multiple editors for a shared calendar would be to use a 3rd party product such as Spanning Sync - see http://www.spanningsync.com/. I hope that helps…

  • Calendar will not sync with Exchange server or most Google Calendars

    Hi,
I am writing about my wife's brand new Samsung Charge on Verizon. We managed to setup both her gmail account and her work exchange server account fine, except for the calendars:
Her Google calendar shows up fine, but I am unable to even see any other Google calendars that she has access to (both her own secondary calendars as well as calendars that others have shared with her) in order to select them to be visible.
Her exchange calendar says it is enabled (on the list of available calendars), but no events at all show up.
This behavior is with the latest software updates on the Charge (2.2.1 firmware, I510.EE4 build) using its stock calendar software. I did notice that if I use Smooth Calendar, it does list all of her Google calendars under its listing of available calendars, but it still only shows data from her primary calendar. This is also true using the Touch Calendar app, which leads me to believe that there is some problem within the Google Calendar sync software that is not allowing her calendars to appear correctly.
    Thanks!

    Hello whereizben,
I see you have posted same post in another thread.  I have already replied to that posting with a solution.  Please see the following link for my reply:

  • I have signed to up to iCloud and am pretty sure that all of my settings are turned on appropriately. However I get syncing from iCloud to my Mac and to my iPhone, but I am unable to get my iPhone to sync with the iCloud and most obviously calendar events

I have signed to up to iCloud and am pretty sure that all of my settings are turned on appropriately. However I get syncing from iCloud to my iMac and to my iPhone, but I am unable to get my iPhone to sync with the iCloud and most obviously calendar events, so that if adding an event on my iPone it never appears on my other hardware? Can anyone help me sort this out?

Re: check that the appointments in my phone are going into iCloud calendars....exactly how do I do this?  I fear this is a really stupid question!
My iCloud account is set up with my Apple ID as one email account (for example [email protected]) which is the email account I use to sign up for internet sites like Amazon, Apple, etc, so that I can differentiate vendors/mass emails.  But my default calendar on my iPhone is in a different email name (ie [email protected]) which I use for most communications to friends, relatives, etc. and it is this account that holds most of my appointments.  To further complicate things I have other email accounts that I use for business/professional and community work.  If I want all my calendars to show on my iPhone AND sync to my iCloud, do I set this at the phone level or the iCloud level?  or both?
Let me clarify....It looks like if I go into appointments that I previously set up through my personal account (ie above [email protected]) and edit the entry on my iPhone, selecting the iCloud "home" calendar within the entry, it will then sync to my iCloud account, no problem....do I have to do this to EVERY entry I have? or is there  a way to name my personal account as one to sync to iCloud?

  • Sync Address to Contacts and Date to Calendar on my desktop software?

How can I sync Address to Contacts and Date to Calendar on my desktop software?  Entered info before I discovered that sync to TX only syncs Contacts & Calendar. Thanks!
    Post relates to: Palm IIIc

    Hello!
The palm desktop application uses Contacts and Calendar fields BUT really its the conduits in your hotsync manager that needs attention.  First be sure to install the Palm Desktop found on your Palm TX CD for it will have both the Calendar, Contacts, Memos, and Tasks conduits also the DateBook, Address, To Dos, and Memo Pad conduits.  The software should be able to identify which of these sets of 4 your device has and use the respected conduits to sync the data to Calendar and Contacts fields in Palm Desktop by just doing a hotsync.  Now in this case be sure to keep different user profiles for each device.  Are you tring to migrate data from Palm IIIc to the Palm TX?  Keep me posted.

  • BB Calendar on Handheld

I have a Blackberry 8800 and I use it primarily for the calendar, address book and telephone feature. I do not subscribe to e-mail nor do I use the Blackberry Enterprise Server. On my handheld, calendar items older than 60 days are automatically deleted. So when I sync with Microsoft Outlook it also deletes calendar data that are older than 60 days. I have tried several BB tech support personnel but nobody can seem to solve the problem. They even replaced my Blackberry and still have the same problem. Can somebody help me figure out how to keep my older calendar items on my handheld?
Note: I have an older Blackberry 7210 and I do not have any problems keeping older calendar data (three years of data) on my handheld.  Could this be a handheld operating system issue?

Thank you for your response. I do not have that option on my BB8800. Here is what I have as options on my handheld:
    Initial View: Day
    Enable Quick Entry: Yes
    Default Reminder: None
    Snooze: None
    Start of Day: 8:00AM
    End of Day: 6:00PM

  • Can I sync my personal pop and exchange server calendar/contacts ??

The "genius" at Apple Store says no, but others have said yes. I am using Outlook for my personal email/contacts/calendar and an exchange server outlook for my business email/contacts/calendar. I would like to be able to sync both outlook profiles. I can get email from both pop and iMap accounts, but it seems that I can only sync one calendar and contacts. When I activated active sync, it synced my exchange server info, but I have no way to sync my Outlook Pop account. Active sync was about to overwrite the other info. Any thoughts?

With your iPhone connected with iTunes, check under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences.
3.0 included the ability to sync contacts and calendars direct with the supported application(s) on your computer along with syncing contacts and calendars over the air - at least with a MobileMe account. I'm not sure if the same is available when syncing contacts and calendars OTA with an Exchange account, but it should be.

  • Sync Microsoft outlook for Mac with Apple calendar

    Hi,
I run Microsofts Office 365 for Mac on my Macbook Pro, and manage my work Calendar (Which comes via a Microsoft Exchange server) on Outlook for Mac. My personal/Family Calendar runs on the Apple Calendar and therefore doesn't interact at all with the other calendar.
I would love to be able to Sync up both the Calendars, not necessarily bi-directional, but rather to use just my Apple Calendar to show both personal and business calendar events on one calendar. (i.e. pull in any events from the Outlook calendar into the Apple Calendar).
Does anyone know how/if I can do this, and if so how?

  • Can I Sync Multiple iPhones to One Macbook's Calendar and iPhoto

Hi all, my wife just bought a 5S and I'm trying to sync it to the iPhoto and the Calendar on our Macbook Pro. I already have a 4S sync'ed to the same Macbook with no problems, but we want both phones to sync with Calendar and iPhoto.
I've successfully imported her library so that we can swap between my our iTunes accounts when we plug in different phones but the calendar and the photo issue  (photostream specifically) is stumping me. So far I've had no joy through iTunes and I'd appreciate any advice.
    Thanks in advance
    Pete

Yes each phone will have its own syncronisation so you can set what goes onto those phones independently of each other

  • Groupwise Calendar Workaround

I'm using Groupwise at work on a PC and using iCal at home on the Mac, I've found a workaround for keeping the work calendar the same as the calendar at home which I sync with the iPhone. I had been manually entering appt's onto the iPhone whenever I created an appt within Groupwise. Then I asked my assistant to start sending the appt's not only to my work e-mail address, but also to the phone via SMS. When I got the alert, I'd manually enter it. Now I ask her to send it also to my home e-mail account, Comcast. When I get home, I open the e-mail and see the appt icon. Right clicking it gives me an option to add to iCal. It immediately populates the calendar and then I can sync the phone. If the appt is imminent when I get the SMS, I go ahead and enter it manually.

  • How do I use Active Sync to view SharePoint Lists (Contacts and Calendars) on a Mobile Phone?

We are attempting to use SharePoint 2010 in combination with Exchange 2010 to implement shared calendars and contact lists throughout our organization.  We are able to connect the lists to Outlook 2010, but have been unsuccessful in viewing
the calendars and contact lists from our mobile phones.  How do we use Active Sync to view SharePoint Lists (Contacts and Calendars) on a Mobile Phone?
In trying to answer this question, we have come across a few different possibilities, all of them falling just short of a long term solution for us.  After doing research, we found that Active Sync will only show the default folders of the account.  To
solve this, we downloaded an Add-In for Outlook (CodeTwo FolderSync) to synchronize folders and synchronized our SharePoint list with a new Contact list in the default folder.  The issue we came across with this method is that the Add-In we are using
is not capable of automatic synchronization.  There is a button and it must be clicked after every update is made, which is not ideal for our solution.  We then went to the company (CodeTwo) and found server side software (Exchange Sync) that they
offer which will automatically synchronize the folders.  After installing that on the Exchange Server, we now are running into the issue of not being able to locate the SharePoint lists on the Exchange Server.
Does anyone happen to know how we can get to the SharePoint lists from the Exchange Server?  Has anyone else been able to use shared contacts lists and calendars from SharePoint on their mobile phones using Active Sync?  If so, are we in the right
direction with what we have found so far?
    Thanks,
    Brad

You cannot use ActiveSync for that, but there are SharePoint clients for the iPhone. Windows Mobile 7 natively supports SharePoint with SharePoint Workspace Mobile, part of Microsoft Office Mobile. Android and BlackBerry might also have some apps.

  • HT1692 Have recently installed itunes and outlook on a new computer.  Have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, Help!

My new computer is 64-bit running Windows 7 pro, SP1 and Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus 32-bit
My phone is a 4S runing iOS 6.1.3
Very frustrated now that I have recently installed itunes and outlook on this new computer.  Everything worked perfectly ok on my laptop which was also 64-bit Windows 7 and running 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 Pro.  I have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, when I sync the calendar and contacts are empty.  Not sure if there is any way to point itunes to particular address books and calendars.
I have installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times and thank goodness have a backup
    Can anyone help please?
    thanks in anticipation

I had my home computer set up to sync to work's Exchange server. It worked well, but I didn't like seeing work email messages and other programs trying to sync with my default Outlook folder, which was then the Exchange (& work related) .ost file. I know there are various ways to manage those problems using filters, view, subfolders, etc., but it was a hassle for me. I think it could work well for many other folks.
For now, I have published my work calendar and subscribed to that calendar on my home computer. So I have view only access to my calendar on my home computer (and I can add/edit calendar items on my iPad (or Outlook Web Access) when away from work). This is not quite what I wanted, but it may work.
It almost makes me long for the days when I used my Windows Mobile Treo to sync back and forth between exchange at work and outlook at home (but had many sync conflicts as a result).
