Sync both Watched and Unwatched shows - possible?

I have four episodes of a show I want on the iPhone all the time. These are the only episodes of the show I have.
I also have three entire seasons of another show I want to watch in order.
Is there a method using smartlists or some other workaround that will allow me to sync the Least Recent Unwatched episodes of the show I have multiple seasons of and also sync the four watched episodes of the other show I want on the phone all the time?
I've been digging around a bit and am not hopeful of a positive response to this but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?

Since I posted this, I have discovered the menu in iTunes that allows you to choose between syncing TV Shows or syncing a Playlist. I created a playlist and populated it with the unwatched episodes of the show I have multiple seasons of (5 at a time) as well as the other four episodes of a show I have already watched but want on the phone all the time.
This solves my problems but is more labor intensive than I hoped for. So let me change my question a bit: Is it possible to make a smart-playlist that is populated with only the 5 oldest unwatched episodes at a time? I cannot figure out the boolean enough to make it work.
If Episode number were an option to choose episodes by, I could populate the smartlist with unwatched episodes selected by episode number. When a show was watched, it would drop off the list and the next episode would fill in.

ITunes Videos (Both Movies and TV Shows) are skipping/ studdering.

These videos were taken from my hard drive, converted with Format Factory, then placed in itunes.
ON ipad the videos playback perfectly, but in itunes itself it fails drastically.
Same problem happens with quicktime. If i open these videos up with quicktime, it studders and skips, while if i open it with VLC, it works fine.
I have already disabled 3d acceleration, which helped a very small bit.
The Rest of itunes runs smoothly, just video playback is screwed

HP Envy 14
Intel i5 quad core processor 2.53 ghz
6 gb ddr3 ram
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Itunes 10.5.1
Quicktime 7.7.1

Update
It turns out that the reason for not playing TV shows and movies is not the network.
Something happened with the files while copying them from the Macbook to the NAS station.
I noticed that after copying a TV show from the NAS Station back onto the Macbook Air drive; it was not possible to import that file into iTunes. iTunes ignored importing that file.
On the other side the TV shows will be played by Quicktime, either from the NAS station or from the Macbook.
It might be important to mention that the NAS station is not OSX formatted.
Does someone know what happened ?

Apple watch and iPhone show different step counts

When I look at the activity app on my watch and on my phone, they show a different number of steps. For the most part i've been walking with both my phone and watch, so I'm wondering why the number doesn't sync between the two. Obviously on the phone its including some additional steps that it is counting that the watch didn't get. I have not calibrated it yet (doing a workout with the GPS on the phone). When I look at the raw data int he Health app, the phone is obviously counting a couple more steps each time. Is this something other people are encountering or will it fix once I've calibrated it?

I have the same issue, but my iPhone actually has fewer steps counted. I did a dumb test to count steps myself and looks like my iPhone has more accurate steps. The thing bothering me most is the Health app picks steps from iphone and watch. It doesn't recognize sometimes the data is duplicated.

Sync Both iphoto and Aperture 3 in ATV??

I want to sync both libraries in my apple tv, from iphoto and Aperture, but in options i can only select one (iphoto) OR Aperture...
I want to do this because, my wife work on iphoto and my self in aperture, and i want to sync to apple tv, and show on my TVHD...

I accidentally sync both IPhones and IPad to my Mac, so all of my pictures keep saying on all of devices. Is there a way to take them off all of my devices?

I sync all my devices, both IPhone and IPad not realizing all of my photo's would keep saving everywhere. I have resolved that issue, I just needed to find out if, there is a way to delete all of the photo's off both IPhones and IPad, but not from my Mac. Is this possible?

Loosing Sync Purchased Movies and TV Shows (ATV 2.4 & iTunes 8.2.1 )

Had my 160gb ATV for about 6 months now with now problems. Have my entire audio library synced, movies, tv, shows etc. All my music is DRM free. All my TV shows are purchased from Apple. My movies are a mixture of ones purchased from apple and some of my converted DVD's via handbrake. Music videos from apple.
Within the last day, my ATV isn't showing all my movie and tv shows I've purchased.
About 2 weeks ago, my ATV upgraded to 2.4 (I do have the latest Boxee running on it). And earlier this week, I upgraded my PC with iTunes to 8.2.1.
Now shows just started disappearing from the ATV.
I "disconnected" my ATV from my PC with iTunes (of course I rebooted both my PC (WinXP) and ATV).
Next I reconnected my ATV to my PC with my iTunes libaray. It is going through a long resynch process.
But it still looks like it is only resynching certain items. Music all look OK (all drm free). Music videos moving over. Only some movies and no TV shows (again).
One thing I noticed is that all none DRM items seem to be resynching. Also DRM items that have Fairplay 2 seem to be resynching. But anything that has fairplay 3 doesn't seem to be moving to the ATV.
I just purchased season 2 of burn notice. It downloads to my PC OK, but none of these new shows are syncing to the ATV either.
Could it be something with particular versions of fairplay?
Any other suggestions?
This is killing me, as I was trying to catch up on some TV shows this summer.

Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there.

Front Row on Snow Leopard has audio out of sync on movies and TV shows and some movies wont show images.

I have an iMac Core Duo 2GHz (yes, first Intel iMac). I have Snow Leopard v10.6.8 (latest/last MacOS version I could load) with the most recent Security Update (2013-003).
I have two issues with Front Row:
• Some of the movie files will not show the images, but I can hear the audio.
• On other movies and TV shows they start fine, but within a few minutes the audio is out of sync with the images, running about 3-5 seconds ahead... Looks like a bad dub of a Japanese movie from the 60s.
Now, I know it's related to Front Row, because when I jump over to iTunes and start the same movie or TV show it begins where I left off in Front Row, but images are fine and audio is suddenly in-sync.
However, with Snow Leopard being 2 major upgrades back - 3 if you count the upcoming Mavericks release - I doubt this registers as a "brouhaha" on Apple's radar screens. Then, again, maybe the spirit of Steve won't tolerate this Microsoft-like quirk, even if my iMac is still chugging along after 7 years and multiple MacOS X upgrades & updates...

I think I found my answer... or culprit. It has to do with Snow Leopard, and my iMac Core Duo, being the last of the dying breed of 32-bit systems, and that iTunes v11.x is 64-bit (heavily, at least)...
Guess I need to break down and replace my 7 year old iMac, even though it still works beautifully (otherwise).

You can subscribe to both calendars on your iPhone/Pad etc, you can also subscribe to them on your Mac

Cannot auto-sync both music and movies...

I've just purchased a 5th gen video ipod. I've also upgraded to itunes 7. I've come across some strange behavior...but I'm not sure if it is something I'm doing wrong. When I click the auto-sync box in the music tab, itunes updates all my music but removes my movies. I then click the auto-sync box in the movies tab, itunes updates all the movies but then removes my music. ***?

Try this:
1) select the movie with the problem in iTunes
2) ctrl click with the mouse and select "show in finder"
3) in itunes delete the movie but select "keep file"
4) go to the finder and reimport the movie that you found in step 2
5) relaunch itunes
it worked for me

On plugging my iPod to the iMac, all the songs got deleted on the iPod. Now it doesn't sync to iTunes and it shows that 'mac os can't repair the device'. How can I get my iPod to start functioning normally again? Please help!

Hey! I plugged my 80 gb ipod classic to my imac, but had to switch it off when itunes hung. The ipod wasn't switching on , and when it did, all the data, including all my songs were deleted. Now, when I try syncing it to the mac, it doesn't connect to the itunes and I keep getting an alert saying ' Mac osx can't repair the device'. Now, althought all the data is gone, the ipod still shows 30 gb free. What will happen if I partiton my ipod? How do I get it to start functioning again? Please help!

Try a low level reformat of the iPod's hard drive to possibly try and repair some of its damage. Use the instructions in this article to walk you through the process.

Is there a way to sync both iPhoto and Aperture albums?

I see that there is a drop down menu that will allow me to select either iPhoto or Aperture to sync with. My question is it possible to sync from both?
I use Aperture with my DSLR and iPhoto for my point-and-shoot.

Yeah I'm in the same boat here. I just got a MacBook Pro yesterday, switching from Windows, and I was shocked to find that syncing photos from my new computer onto my iPhone is aparently a much bigger pain in the rear than it ever was with Windows.
This is not correct - you just don't know what is available to you.
iPhoto has a single library where all photos are stored just as with iTunes and music/video and with the Address Book application for contact information. iPhoto 08 includes Events along with creating albums.
You don't need to split events to create an album or albums. All Photos remain in the iPhoto's library and any photos placed in events or albums includes a pointer to the original photos available in the main library and are not duplicated. A photo cannot be available in an Event or an Album unless it is available in main iPhoto library. You can have the same photo in multiple events or albums just as you can have the same song in multiple iTunes Playlists and the same contact in multiple Groups with the Address Book.
The sync option for Events is all or the 1,3,5,10 or 20 most recent but you can select individual albums to be transferred to the iPhone.
This will provide for viewing the photos available in an album only when selecting the album on the iPhone or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting the Photo Library on the iPhone.

Syncing both home and work computers with iPhone

Is it possible to sync my home iCal with my iPhone and my work iCal with iPhone, so all events appear on my iPhone, but not have my work events merged to home and home events merged to my iCal at work? I want to keep the two desktop calendars separate, but have them combined on the iPhone. Is this possible? (I suspect not until the iPhone calendar has multiple calendars as iCal does) Thanks -- Rick

Hey Rick,
This is not possible, when you sync the iPhone to a computer for the first time iTunes will ask if you want to Merge, replace on computer, or replace on iPhone. You may want to Merge and choose the option to put events created on the iPhone on another calendar on iCal, that you will delete later.
You can always backup iCal before you start, by going to File> Back up iCal.
