Sync Calendar with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7 Starter

I want to sync my BB with my netbook. I have succeeded syncing with Windows Live Mail Contacts but not with Calendar. The only possibility offered by the desktop software is ASCII. How do I sync with the Calendar?

Just to clarify, how did you synchronize your Windows Live Contacts with your BlackBerry?
Windows Live is not a supported organizer to sync with using the Blackberry Desktop Software. This is why its not appearing as an option when you're setting up synchronization. http://bbry.lv/lZWDzG

Options for Syncing Calendar with Windows without Outlook

How can I synchronise my iPhone calendar with my calendar on Windows Vista. I have Windows Mail, and understand that iTunes does not support synchronisation with Windows Mail. What are my options, other than buying Outlook? Windows Live Mail and/or Windows 7? Via Gmail?

Windows Mail is an email client only, which was a name change for Outlook Express with Vista. Windows Mail does not include a calendar.
The iPhone supports syncing contacts and calendar events with Outlook 2003 or 2007, or with Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
If you are able to sync Gmail calendar events with the calendar application included with Windows, you can access a Gmail account with the iPhone's Mail client as an Exchange account via ActiveSync, which provides for over the air syncing for Gmail online contacts and calendar events.

Contacts Sync with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7

I have BB Desktop Manager 5.0.1 and I am un able to syncronize my Contacts with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7. The only options the Desktop Manager offers are: Outlook Express, Importad./Exportad. ASCII adn Yahoo.
What can I do?

Are you accessing your Windoze Live account as a POP account or as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app?
If as a POP account, received messages that are in the account's Inbox at the incoming mail server will be downloaded.
If you are accessing the account as an Exchange account, all server stored mailboxes will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPhone's Mail app. If as an Exchange account, seems like you would want to have the account's junk mailbox available in case a legitimate message is incorrectly marked as junk and moved out of the account's Inbox mailbox.

I recently had to change my hard drive for my laptop (Sony Vaio). The IT guy replaced my HDD and ghost all my information
from old to new drive. Everything works perfect except for Windows Live Mail.
When I open WLM I get this error:
“Windows Live Mail could not be started. Closing Windows Live Mail. Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing
Windows Live Mail to close. (0x8E5E0247)”
I have since done the following:
PROBLEM SOLUTION 1:
1. Close Windows Live Mail and any other Windows Live programs.
2. Click Start (then Run for
Windows XP), paste the following path below and press Enter:
%Localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Calendars
3. Rename the folder of the account you use to sign in to Windows Live Mail to
sync your calendar (ex. rename [email protected] to [email protected]).
4. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
5. Launch Windows Live Mail again.
THIS DID NOT WORK SO I DID THE FOLLOWING:
PROBLEM SOLUTION 2:
I removed WLM (uninstall) and reinstalled and still nothing.
PROBLEM SOLUTION 3:
I also renamed the WLM folder and reinstalled WLM, then deleted the new WLM folder and still nothing.
PROBLEM SOLUTION 4:
I also tried to import my emails from WLM to Microsoft Outlook but I only have a copy of my mails from the directory.
I do not have an EXPORT copy saved anywhere. Is there any way I can export the WLM to Microsoft outlook?
PLEASE HELP I AM AT WITS END.

I have had many problems with permissions on Windows Vista, 7,8 & 81.1. It is usually after an update or installation, especially one that requires a reboot to finish (some AVG, Windows Live, Windows Updates, etc). Once File(s), Folder(s)
and Registry Key(s) permissions are screwed up, it can take days to work them out if ever.
After having spent several hours on a clients PC and online forums with this problem. I transferred her user profile with a free program called
Transwiz (run as Administrator) to a zip file on the HDD. I renamed her user in manage User Accounts to "Username old". I then ran Transwiz again to restore the profile but telling it to create a new user using the original Username.
After it completed restoring the profile, I logged out of "Username old" and logged in to Username and all wass well, I only needed to supply the email password which is not transferred. When you move profile data, all the old permissions
have to be removed and <st1:personname w:st="on">new</st1:personname> permissions added so the data and files belong to the <st1:personname w:st="on">new</st1:personname> user. This cleared up all the permission
problems.

Syncing iphone calendar with windows calendar

I am trying to sync my iphone calendar with my windows calendar, but in itunes under info and "sync calendars with", it only gives me the option to sync with outlook. Any help would be appreciated.

I downloaded the Windows Live Essentials for Windows 7 running under Parallels 5.0.9310. When I try to bring up Windows Live Mail I receive the error:
Windows Live Mail could not be started. Closing Windows Live Mail. Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close. (ox8000fff).
I have:
1. Done a repair via control panel
2. Deinstalled just mail from the control panel, removed the registry entries for Windows Live Mail in hkey_current_user and hkey_local_machine.
3. Reinstalled just mail.
Nothing seems to work. I am still getting the error.

Since it is to be more of Windows Live Mail issue, I kindly recommend you to contact Windows Live Mail Technical Support Team for a specific solution. Here I would like to share the following method based on my research:
You can click Start, click Control Panel and click Clock, Language, and Region, click Date and Time, click Change time zone and uncheck the box in front of “Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time”, click OK twice.

How to install Windows Live Essentials 2012 without updating Live Mail from 2011 to 2012?

The title pretty much describes my issue: I'd like to install the Movie Maker from Essentials Package 2012. The installer would like to update my Live Mail from 2011 to 2012, which I don't like.
Any suggestions?

Sync iCloud with windows contacts

I am upgrading from MobileMe to iCloud in windows 7, w/ MobileMe I sync with my Windows contacts not with Outlook contacts (I can't stand bloated outlook app). I don't see this option in iCloud - does this mean Apple is not supporting syncing iCloud with Windows Contacts? If so I am very disappointed in Apple.

You're correct, Outlook is the only supported client for Windows, and I agree with your assesment of Outlook. There is an usupported alternative in eMClient, which does look a lot like Outlook but is simpler and snappier.
Setup is manual, mail is easy as are contacts and calendars, if you want to try it post back and I'll look for the server address information.

HT1296 Does software exist to sync i-phone calendar with Microsoft Live calendar?

I have a PC on which I use Windows Live to sync calendar with my Windows phone, but I also want to sync the Live calendar with my wife's i-phone. I haave not been able to find a way to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have to subscribe your Outlook to an iCloud calendar to bring it all back in sync.
Apple pushed everything to iCloud and it's pretty much luck if the computer to iDevice sync works for calendars.
Plus, the time involved for iTunes to scrape the calendar info and push it into outlook, just not worth it anymore.
If you have an Exchange or Google email account, you can internet-sync calendars across those also if you don't want to use iCloud.

IPhone 3GS SYnc problems with Windows 7 64 Bit

I am having sync problems with windows 7 64 Bit.
The iPhone syncs a few tracks then hangs, a few minutes later itunes tells me the iphone has timed out.
Anyone have any ideas about this. I have tried different USB ports, cleaned the apple USB cable contacts with Servisol, restored the iPhone and reinstalled itunes.
iPhone and iTunes are latest versions.

Ok here's what I did:
1) Connect the iPhone (iTunes had been installed)
2) No MTP driver installation is happening as Windows detects iPhone successfully
3) Open Device Manager
4) There seems to be 2 drivers for iPhone that are active now, although I still can't see which one is the MPT driver you're referring to.
One of them sits under Portable Devices: "Apple iPhone". If I view the details of this driver, it lists the following files:
- C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\UMDF\WpdMtpDr.dll
- C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\winusb.sys
- C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\WUDFRd.sys
- C:\Windows\system32\WpdMtp.dll
- C:\Windows\system32\WpdMtpUS.dll
The other one sits under Universal Serial Bus controllers: "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver". And as indicated by Joe above, it lists the following files when I view the Details:
- C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\usbaapl64.sys
- C:\Windows\system32\usbaaplrc.dll

Photo sync problem with Windows Vista?

I did some searching and was wondering if there is a solution to the photo sync problem with Windows Vista. I have gone the route of changing some of my photos to bitmap files but this is was way too much work just to view on ipod. I like to email Apple but could not find a link to do so. As far as I know I have all updates but still the iPod does not sync photos. Is there an update to this that I am missing or am I stuck changing all my photos to .bmp files?

Would it make a difference if I purchased Adobe Photo Album or would I still be stuck with changing and saving files to .bmp extensions? I have Adobe Photoshop album starter but still have to change file extensions.
If someone has a solution to this problem I would really be greatfull. I did contact Dell as this is a brand new computer and that was a wash. They did give me a number for Apple but of course I bought the iPod off of ebay and has no warranty on it so unless I pay a fee I'm not calling. It just blows my mind that Microsoft and Apple can't or won't come up with a fix. But I guess when Microsoft wants you to buy the Zune or Apple wants you to buy the overpriced Macintosh why would they waste time on having there products compatible with each other.

Syncing Calendar with VISTA

My version of VISTA does not have outlook. I only have windows calendar. Is it possible to snyc the appointments I put into the iphone with my computer if I don't have Outlook?

Not possible at this time. Windows Mail/Calendar is really just a renamed Outlook Express. The iPhone WILL sync the contacts with Windows Contacts, but will NOT sync the calendar with WIndows Calendar. In order to sync a calendar, you need to upgrade to the full version of Outlook 2003 or 2007.
