Won't sync calender with mobileme "inconsistent data error message"

I have tried about everything that I can think of but can't seem to solve this problem.
I have a new Macbook Pro and have been using mobileme and ical for some time now. I can't get my Macbook Pro to sync with mobileme ical. It does sync with the address book, but when it gets to the ical portion it tries and then reports "can't sync due to inconsistent data on this computer. Correct data and resync calender".
I have no idea what the "inconsistent data" is. My computer gets its time from apple.com and the time/date is correct. What is the inconsistent data. My calender and schedule is a critical issue. Please help.

Errors in syncing can happen for all sorts of reasons - loss of network connectivity, for instance - and it might be necessary to reset the synced data from a reliable source. It's not talking about deleting anything - unless you have data on your new computer that you need to retain.
The document says that if you have this problem on your new machine, you probably need to overwrite that local data with data from MobileMe.
Personally, I've never lost any data with dotmac or MobileMe, so my experience is it can be relied on. I do, however, keep backups of all my data as well.

How to set default sync calender category in Entourage 2008

I am using Entourage 2008. Syncing it with ical then sync with iphone (as iphone cannot sync directly with Entourage). Everything works fine right now except that i cannot set default calender event category on Entourage.
now, whenever i make a calender event on ical or iphone even enotourage. it default category as "none", how do i make it default to be "work" category? Now i have to go in every time to chage it, which makes a lot of trouble.

Hi,
Try this procedures.
1. Dont open your SBO program.
2. Goto C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Conf\ folder
3. Delete file b1-local-machine.xml
4. Log to SBO program.
5. Apply all necessary authentication then select SQL_2008 then log.
6. After logging exit to SBO program.
7. Re-log again if SQL_2008 is already in default.

Syncing calender not working

Hi,
the syncing of the calender with my iPad mini via iTunes 11 and an iMac 27 still running 10.6.8 just doesn't work right. Could the problem be 10.6.8?
When I first got the iPad mini a few months ago, syncing did seem to work fine with the calender. Then, I did activate iCloud at some point and also the syncing via Wi-fi and I think, that one of these must have caused the problem. I did turn off both oprions and used a cable again, but to no avail. I also followed Apple's instruction to sort of reset the syncing on my Mac, but that also did not improve things.
Any clues to what I could try out next? Right now I have to manually put every entry on both the iPad and the Mac and that just can't be the solution.

HELP with syncing Calender application.

I have Windows Live mail mail organizer programme on my PC and want to sync with my blackberry calender, I have desktop software 5.0.0.509 and it only gives me the option of syncing with Microsoft Outlook. Does anyone have any advice on how to add Windows Calender..? Or with what calender programs works best to sync with the Blackberry..

Are you 100% positive you are downloading the Desktop Software and not the Device Software? What is the exact filename of what you are downloading? All Desktop Software is available here:

Only those Organizer apps listed in the prior linked KB are compatible. To synchronize with your BB, you must use one of those.

Help with Syncing Calender on my iPhone to Outlook 2007

Hi Forum members,
I have just updated my iPhone to iOS5 and am enjoying the new iCloud features. I have setup my calender so that any updates that occur in my Outlook 2007 Diary (that I use for work) get updated wirelessly on my iPhone everytime the iCloud syncs itself.
However I have no way of reversing the process so that every new entry I create on my iPhone gets synced to my Outlook 2007 calender on my PC.
Im assuming its just a simple setting to allow 2 way communication between the programs...?

No, the camera connection kit only supports the copying of photos and videos to the Photos app, it doesn't support copying content off the iPad. For your second camera instead of the SD reader part of the kit, does the iPad to camera cable not work with it for direct transfer to the iPad ?
For Lightroom and Nikon software again no - you can only install apps that are available in the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app on the iPad, 'normal' PC and Mac (OS X) software are not compatible with the iPad (iOS). There are some apps that perform fairly basic editing functions that are available in the store, but nothing as sophisticated as, for example, Lightroom.

Sync calender N95 direct with 3109C

Is it possible to synchronize the calender of an N95 with a 3109C without a pc or mac?

the N95 can be sync'd with quite a few resources - the limiting factor here will be the 3109c, in my opinion (i had to google the name just to realize it was a nokia device).
with N95 you can sync for example with Ovi,funambol,Exchange.
can 3109c sync with any of these? if so, then yes. if not, then you need to find something the 3109c CAN sync with and focus on that.

I am unable to sync. my computer or my hotmail calender and contacts with my playbook.

After I setup my Hotmail account on the PB and it authenticated as the exact same account settings on my PCs I had to wait maybe 15-20 seconds before it started synching and when the notification message disappeared all was good to go for Contacts and Calendar. During Account setup I had made sure that those two items were authorized.
I have both a POP mail account and the Hotmail account and both work well.
Good luck, I know this may not be the exact answer you were seeking but at least you know it can be done.

N86, can't sync. calender but contacts

I'we just upgraded my system from VISTA to WINDOWS 7, and after that i'm not able to sync the calender&To Do with the phone. It works to synk a new appointment made in Outlook to the phone, but new and old appointment made in the phone are ignored and not available to se in Outlook.
Any suggestions

Can't sync Calender with Palm Tungsten T2.

I'm using Windows Vista and when I press Hotsync on my Palm, it won't sync the calender events from PC to Palm but will sync from Palm to PC. Any ideas?

I have the same problem but with all the standard apps - calendar, memos, address book, syncing my "new" T2 to Windows XP running desktop 4.1.4. 3rd-party apps seemed to sync fine, though Docs 2 Go and Easy Calc need the coirrect version... sigh....
Years ago I had a T2 synced to this computer and this user name, I believe I've upgraded palm desktop SW since then and most recently had an E2, but that got run over, so I picked up this T2.
I tried doing another hard reset and re-loading, but still the sync claims everything is fine, but no data. Not sure how to tell what version of SW the palm has on it. Maybe the palm and desktop version are not compatible????

Problems with syncing calender with MobileMe after upgrading to v2..01

Hello everyone,
I am using MobileMe with my iPhone and everything worked well. Mail, contacts, calender push-synced beautifully after the initial MobileMe hickups were sorted out.
I upgraded to v2.01 today and everything worked fine, except that my calenders don't sync properly. All my calender events are pushed 7 hours back when synced to my iPhone. This is only on the iPhone. Calender in MobileMe and on my Macbook show the correct times.
Suggestion or advice would be aprreciated!

I went to an apple store and nobody could tell me a way to proceed. They said that Yosemite just came out and it is too early for them to know and they need time to figure it out One of them mentioned an update that would be ready for today but he didn't seem so convinced. I read somewhere that signing out of iCloud on the other device (Ipad in that particular case) and signing back in worked for him, but I still haven't made that move yet...afraid of loosing the organization pattern I created with my documents with pages in my Ipad and a afraid of the posible scnario of having to move my word documents manually to pages just the way I have it now. For now I think it is prudent to wait to see if apple solves this, but in the long term something needs to be done cause iCloud for me with pages is useless right now. I hope this inspires a solution for you and you get your music back ASAP. I have faith in the apple guys...I hope they will fix this soon. Good Luck!!

I suspect the message is referring to you having too many devices associated with the Apple ID you are using for iCloud. You can have a maximum of 10 devices associated with an Apple ID, 5 of which can be computers. This article explains how to remove a device from your Apple ID: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627.
