Sync dates of photos from iPhoto to iPhone

I was recently on holiday and after I synced my photos from my camera and iPhone to iPhoto I realised that the date stamp on my camera was incorrectly set to 2013.  I updated the photo info in iPhoto and they are all now showing as 2014.  However, I have removed and synched them with my iPhone several times but it still treats them as 2013.  They are all out of order in the Collections view.  I'm using the most up to date software for my Mac and iPhone but it did this before iOS8.  Any suggestions?

You need to go into your iPhoto application and turn off (or disable) all music that is tied to any of your self-created slideshows. This error seems to be directly related to odd characters in the titles of the songs in your slideshows. Then sync your photos. Afterward, you can then "try" and go back in and re-attach your songs inside your slideshows, and see if your iPhoto photos will again sync without the -50 error.

  • Syncing selection of photos from iPhoto to iPhone

Just bougth an iPhone 3GS 16 gb and want to sync a selection of photos/maps from iPhoto, through iTunes, to the iPhone, just like I do with syncing music. Under the Photos tab in iTunes I can only choose for all the content of the iPhoto library. But then I get an syncing error message (-50). I see the possibillity (like under the music tab) to select only the maps I want, but I can not click on it, it's greyed out. I already adjusted under the summery tab not to sync automatically but manually.
Moreover, syncing photos to the iPhone 3G of my wife worked just like I want, using the same iMac, but when I tried it just now (it was some time ago that I synced that iPhone)it appears to have the same problem. I'm not aware that I changed some tuning. Could it be caused by an updat of MacOSX or Itunes or iPhoto?
    What to do?

  • Error transfer photos from iPhoto to iphone 4.

i have problem sync all my photos from iPhoto to iPhone 4, iPhone is 4.2.1, iTune is 10.2.2., iPhoto'09 8.1.2
Do i need to upgrade to iPhone 4.3.3 or iPhoto '11 for solving this issue? But it doesn't make sense. Please help!

I don't know if you solved this already or what, but I had a similar problem with my iPhone4 - no joy recognizing the photo folder in iPhoto or anywhere else, but no problems with iTunes.  Same problem in both Windows and OSX.  I gave up trying to get iPhoto, photo capture to work and went looking on the AppStore for an alternative.
    Downloaded Photo Transfer,
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-transfer-app/id365152940?mt=8
this solved all my problems immediately.  Ridiculously annoying that the default application doesn't work anymore and that Apple have made it sooo difficult to get to our data, and doubly annoying that the Photo Transfer app isn't free - but it seriously works like a charm.

That is normal for photos synced from a computer to a phone using iTunes. Synced photos were never placed in the Camera Roll. Additionally since iOS 8 there is no Camera Roll: http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/09/19/goodbye-camera-roll-where-to-find-your -photos-in-ios-8

  • Import photos from iPhoto to iPhone

How does one import photos from iPhoto to iPhone?
I have looked on the user guide and have found no answer.
    Thanks!

Question: How do you just have the Photo albums on the Iphone and not the Photo Library? Or just have the photo library without the photo albums? I have 146 photos in the library and the folders (two with 87 in one and 59 in the other) That are also in the library. It seems like having duplicates will take up space that I don't want to take up.

I cannot sync all my photos from mac to iPhone. The sync finishes before all photos are copied to The iPhone so in my iPhone I have albums with less photos than Mac! I select The album that I want to sync on The iPhone on iTunes but the syncronization finishes before all the photos of the selected albums are copied on The phone.

You should erase all contents and setting before giving your iphone away.

  • Cannot sync any photos from iPhoto to iPhone

I cannot sync any photos from iPhoto to my iPhone. When I select the box to "Sync Photos from iPhoto," it displays "0 photos" regardless of what other settings I try (all photos, selected albums, etc.). Attempting to sync from folders other than iPhoto works fine.
I have tried removing the iPod Photo Cache. (First syncing the iPhone with no photos selected, then removing the phone, closing iTunes and iPhoto, trashing the cache, emptying the trash, rebooting the iMac, restarting the phone, reattaching the phone, and trying to sync again.)
I've tried searching the internet for a solution, but have only found threads going off in multiple directions with no clear advice.
    iMac running OS X 10.9.1
    iPhoto 9.5.1
    iPhone 4S running iOS 7.0.4

Additional info: I tried repairing permissions, repairing the database, and even rebuilding the database in iPhoto. Rebuilding eliminated all ordering in my albums. Since this seemed to be only messing things up further, I then tried restoring my entire iPhoto Library from a previous version in Time Machine (when synching photos still worked). However, the problem persists. I am still unable to sync any photos from iTunes to my phone.

  • Sync Photos from Iphoto to Iphone 3GS

Hello I'll really appreciate your help:
When I try to sync mi iphone, if i have the sync photos from iphoto feature activated in itunes it shows, at the end of the sync the error message (The sync could not be completed because an unknown error -50) and the photos doesn't appear in the iphone, even when the files have been transferred. I've tried rebooting and even restoring the iphone and the problem persists, I was using this feature without any problems and it begin to happen a few days ago without any particular reason.
    Thank you!!!

I just saw this error -50 on my old click-wheel ipod tonight.
To fix it. I plugged in the ipod. On the ipod setting tabs, click on Photos.
Change it so no photos are synced.
Then change it back and browse to a new photo folder.
Also you can try using Windows explorer to delete the sub-folder

  • Importing photos from iphoto to iphone

I have the 'old' version of the iphone and cannot transfer photos from iphoto to the iphone. When i click on the photos tab for the iphone in itunes, the albums and everything except "sync photos from" at the very top are grayed out. Then my only option is to import everything from iphoto onto the iphone, which i do not want to do.
So -- how do I import only certain folders from iphoto onto the phone? How do i get the options below to not be grayed out?
Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

    newuser1969,
Did you try to rebuild the photo library?
You can find out if the issue is caused by the iPhoto library by testing with an alternate library. Just launch iPhoto while holding Option as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1229 Then import a few photos and open iTunes.
If the issue only happens with your main library, it probably needs to be rebuilt using the article I linked in my first response.
If iTunes does not see the alternate iPhoto library, you may want to uninstall and reinstall iTunes as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224

  • Importing photos from iPhoto into iPhone

I know you can import from iphone to iphoto...
is there a way to import from iphoto to iphone?

Yes connect your phone to iTunes, go to the Photos tab check the sync box and select from the menu next to Sync photos from: "iPhoto" instead of "choose folder"

  • Limitation Importing Photos from Iphoto to Iphone

I have over 28,000 photos on an external drive and want to import just selected photos, individual from there to my Iphone. In Itunes, I have the option to Sync Photo from Iphoto, or I can choose to sync from a specific folder.
If I pick Iphoto, I then have the option to pick all photos and albums (28,582 photos), a selection of recent events (1,3,5,10,or 20 most recent) or selected albums. Selected albums only gives me 3 choices Last Import, Last 12 Months or another folder called "test". None of these options allows me to pick an event or individual photo from say 4 years ago as an example.
If I choose the option to sync from a specific folder, I am also unable to navigate to a particular event other than folders that have been exported from Iphoto into the pictures folder. If I try to navaigate to applications and pick Iphoto, its grayed out and I cannot select it.
Please tell me that I do not have to export each specific picture one by one just to get them onto my Iphone???

Have you created any albums in iPhoto? if so, you should see them in the list along with "Last 12 Months" and "Last Import"; if not, when you do create them you'll see them. Create an album called "iPhone" (or whatever else you want to call it), put the pictures you want on your iPhone into that folder and sync it.

  • Can't sync all my pictures from iPhoto to iPhone 5

    hello,
i usually sync all my iphone pics with iphoto. i have in iPhoto all the pics I ever took with my previous iphones. today i changed my iphone 5 with another iphone 5 ( because the "old" one didn't work properly)  and tryed to sync my photos from iPhoto to the new phone. I have lots of pics 5200 to be more precise . The sync started and it stopped at 430 out of 5200...i closed iphoto , opened it again but nothing...
    help!
    thank you

The first thing I would do is try to use Image Capture on the Mac to pull all of the Photos off your old iPhone.  The Image Capture program is found in your Applications/Utilities folder.  After you have them on your computer, download the free program Pic Share It.  Install the free version of it on your iPad and then drag and drop the photos from your Mac to your iPad.  Here's a video showing you how it work.

  • Can you transfer photos from iphoto to iphone

can you transfer photos from iphoto to iphone

    Yes.
Plug your iPhone into your computer.
In iTunes, click on your iPhone under Devices in the left panel.
Click on the Photos tab in the main iTunes screen.
Check Sync Photos from and select iPhoto from the drop-down menu.
Choose which albums, events, or faces you want to sync.
    Hope that helps.

  • Will my previously sync'd Flickr photos (from iPhoto) get removed from Flickr

    Hi,
I am very nervous of using the new Photos App and losing all my previously sync'd Flickr Photos that I configured from iPhoto - some of them have thousands of views / comments and fav's that I would hate to lose.
My photo library has been migrated to Photos App now, so I presume that as long as I don't fire up iPhoto again, I should be fine - as once the photos are sync'd to Flickr from iPhoto then as long as iPhoto doesn't try and remove them it should be fine and it can't do that if you don't start it up.
My concern is what happens when I try and share a photo to Flickr from the new Photos App - is this going to reset all my photos that have been previously shared to Flickr (and hence lose the previously uploaded ones from iPhoto) or will it just share additional photos as a new individual photos? It seems whereas iPhoto ran a complex Sync type relationship with Flickr, the Photos App Sharing to Flickr is much more basic.
Can anyone put my mind at rest because I would be mortified to end up losing my Flickr Photos?
    Rgds

  • Sync photos from iPhotos to iPhone

Can someone help me please? I would like to sync specific photos from my iPhoto to my iPhone, however the Photos tab in iTune doesn't have that feature - when you check the box "Selected albums" it only gives me the choice of: "Last Import" or "Last 12 months". How do I tell it I want to be MORE specific???
    Thank you so much!
    Lilly

You have to set up an album in iphoto to be able to see it in the photo pane in itunes in order to sync.
Move the desired pictures into the album, go to itunes and select the album and sync.
