Sync Droid3 contacts and car radio

Has anyone been able to transfer Droid3 contacts to a Kenwood car radio?  Mine will only sync some of the contacts.  Searching the internet looks like it is a Droid3 issue.  I don't want Facebook contacts, just Google.  Looks like iPhone will sync without any problems.

Hi ontheroad,
Looking at your screen name, I'm sure it would be much more convenient to have your contacts synced with your car stereo. I can definitely help you with this. You would simply need to copy the contacts to the SD card on the phone and then they should sync with your stereo. Below are the steps for you.
Contacts
Menu
Import/Export
Where it says "Export Contacts to:" select SD Card.
Once they are synced, please test this with your car stereo and post your results.
Here is a link to the manual for the Droid 3 for you and other users of this device.

    What's wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for my bad English!

No, it's "Calendar" from Microsoft Corporation, and "Contacts" from Microsoft Corporation.
They are Windows 8 Modern UI apps, which are installed with Windows 8.1.

okay from reading posts it seems if I transfer my backed up info from my old comp to the new one and erase my dad's phone's back up i could reset my phone and it would transfer all my old data back onto the phone, be linked to the new computer and i could proceed.  Where do i find the backed up info from my phone?

I cannot figure out how to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone with my windows PC.  The message during the itunes sync process is that information is being backed up to both the cloud and my PC.  However the Outlook software remains blank.  What can I do??

  • Apparently Sync Manager is turned off for syncing my contacts and calendar to using Blackberry Desktop Software - how can I switch it ON?

I upgraded to Mac OS 10.9 a few months ago.
Up till then I was happily able to sync mac Contacts and Calendar to my Blackberry Curve 9320 via Blackberry's Desktop Manager (for Mac).
Since upgrading the software tells me to that Mac Sync Manager is turned off.  I know it isn't because everything else is syncing.
When I hunt through your support I find that there are solutions for this problem for other Mac OS versions but not for Maverick, so please tell me how I can once again use my business phone happily as I did before upgrading!
    Many thanks
    Janet

BlackBerry Desktop Software utilizes Apple's SyncServices technology in order to synchronize Contact, Calendar, Notes, and Tasks information to and from the Mac computer.
BlackBerry Desktop Software synchronizes information with the SyncServices database, which is synchronized with the desktop applications on the Mac computer (for example: Apple Address Book, iCal, Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook for Mac). BlackBerry Desktop Software does not synchronize directly to or from the desktop applications on the Mac computer.
Mac OS X Mavericks v10.9 and later does not use SyncServices, therefore, it is not possible to synchronize Contact or Calendar information using the BlackBerry Desktop Software on these versions of OS X.
For more information on SyncServices and OS X Mavericks, see the following Apple Support article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5847
Note: BlackBerry Desktop software 2.4 is still supported for use with Mac OS X v10.6, 10.7, and 10.8.

  • My iPhone 4s is not syncing the contacts and calendar to iCloud.

My iPhone is not syncing its contacts and calander to iCloud once its entered on the iPhone itself.  It has no problem syncing information entered through iCloud though.  Am I doing something wrong?

On the iPhone tap Settings > iCloud
Switch off both Contacts and Calendars then switch back on then reset the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    Upgrade to 10.7.5. See:
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • Suddenly won't sync all Contacts and Calendars

I’ve been syncing my iPhone 2G with Mail, Contacts and Calendar on Outlook 2007 via USB for over a year without any problems. I recently added a Microsoft Exchange email account to Outlook on my PC but I use it only for email. The Exchange email account is NOT set up to sync with my iPhone. The Calendar and Contacts I use are in an Outlook Personal Folder and not the Contacts and Calendar associated with the Exchange account.
Ever since installing the Exchange account, the iPhone does not recognize my original Contacts and Calendar and is not syncing them. Instead it seems to sync the Exchange Contacts and Calendar, which are empty so now my phone has not Contact or Calendar data.
I have tried replacing Contacts and Calendar using the iTunes/Info/Advanced option but that didn’t work.
In iTunes/Info/Contacts and iTunes/Info/Calendars I don’t have an option to select multiple contact lists or calendars to synch.
How can I get it back to syncing the Contacts and Calendar I actually need?
    Thanks

I have the exact same problem and it drives me mad - thanks for letting me know if you find a solution. Here is what I will try: export all my contacts from where they are in the pst file in outlook then "try" to reimport them in the ost file (exchange). I noticed indeed that if I create a contact in the ost file, it does get pushed over to itunes.
But there seems to be no way of telling itunes which outlook data file to use in priority, and if you select it as default in outlook you wipe out the content of your mail file on the exchange server. Not great.

  • ITunes won't sync my contacts and calendars

    Hello all,
I'm having some trouble syncing my contacts and calendars to my iPod, because iTunes say's it doesn't have any available, and then it asks me to open that application.
This started after I forcibly shut down my computer.
I've tried replacing the information by deleting all of my contacts and calendars, and restoring using the Backup application, and I still got the same message asking me if I wan't to open iCal/Address Book.
    Any solution will be appreciated.

2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook; 5.5G black iPod 30GB   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   Hard Drive: 60 GB; RAM: 512 MB

The most likely solution is to launch iSync
application ,and then in the preferences menu, click
on Reset Sync History button. This resets
configurations for the iTunes iPod sync process that
is dependent on the iSync system database system.
Is this the only way to do this? I am sic and tired of reseting my sync data as .Mac seams to have plenty of it's own issues. I use several computers Two for work and an extra at the office and one extra at home that I would have to then on the next sync accept all of the diolog boxes to get the most recent sync data on each computer. What a pain in the ... Not something that I want to do again as I have done it about 4+ times in the last month.

  • ITunes & Outlook 2010 no sync. of contacts and calendar

    Hello together,
I have "iTunes 11.1.5.5", "Outlook 2010" and can't sync. my contacts and the calendar.
Under "Infos" there are no contacts (contackt groups) displayed ...
I went through all support informations, but nothing helped me.
I hope someone has a solution for thes problem.
    Thanks in advance

By any chance are you running any Eset security software products (like Nod32) on that PC?
If so, there's a couple of alternatives.
Either try the procedure in Samoreen's post:
Re: iTunes 11.1.4.62 freezes while syncing with Outlook
Or, see if you can get hold of the Eset beta addressing the problem. As Samoreen notes in another post:
ESET have a workaround for this issue. They gave me access to a test version of the HIPS module and this fixed the problem. So I could re-enable the ESET_OPTIONS environment variable (although I still consider that it's a questionable idea). I upgraded to iTunes 11.1.5.5 and there was no problem.
So maybe you should get in touch with ESET support and request the new module ? Just send a message to Marcos in the ESET forum.

  • How you can sync your contact and your mail with iTunes 11 as it's not there anymore ?

How you can sync your contact and your mail with iTunes 11 as it's not there anymore ?

~ means your Home directory. Using the command above takes you to the Home directory on the boot drive.  Your backup files are now on another drive in a directory that used to be your Home but is now a subfolder of Users so you have to specify that drive after the /Volumes, then the user name, then the rest to go there
I use OSX 10.4.11 and on it the libraries are still visible.  There's two at least.  One general one at the top level of the boot drive and another for each user (the one with the ~).  I think they made at least one of them invisible with newer OS versions.

  • Problem with ipod nano when i sync my contacts and calendr

I have two problem with my ipod nano when i sync my contacts and calendars.
For the calendars I use the thunderbird Mozilla calendar (that I export in .vcs) but the problem is that the appointment appear in my ipod with a different time: 18:00 on Mozilla become 16:00 in Ipod... Note that both (ipod and Mozilla Calendar) are configured with time zone in Paris.
For the Contact I have all in Thunderbird contact. The problem is that his software can't export the contact in vcard format (only in csv). Do you know a free software to convert my contact from Thunderbird to vcard format ?
    Thanks in advance.

On the phone, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars select the account you want and scroll down to the settings for Contacts.  You can change display and sort order there.
