SOMEONE PLEASE HELP !!

Hi keriabby,
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Try backing up your device via the BlackBerry Desktop Software and performing a clean reload of your device software. http://bbry.lv/bpv7DT
Before restoring your backup, I would try registering in the Host Routing Table then testing for the issue by sending yourself some new messages and adding a few contacts manually and pulling your battery to make sure they are no longer being removed. http://bbry.lv/pTiRCV
What happens when you try to sync your contacts with your email account?
What type of email account are you using? (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail)

  • How do I Sync Email with BES and Calendar-Contacts-Tasks-Notes with BDS?

I have a Storm that I sync with our BES just for email and I want to sync my calendar, contacts, etc.. with the Blackberry Desktop Software.  First I was only able to sync my contacts... not my calendar.  Second, everytime I sync I lose my ability to send and receive email from my Storm and have to have our BES admin resend my service books to me so I can sebd abd receuve email again.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Did you install the desktop manager in blackberry enterprise or blackberry internet mode? I'm guessing it might be the latter, and it could be changing your servicebooks because of that... If it is installed for blackberry internet service, try removing it and installing it for blackberry enterprise service (this is a choice during installation).

  • In attempting to sync my Outlook Contacts to my iphone 5, Outlook shows in the drop down, but it does not allow click-on, then below is listed only my email information, nothing else, no calendars, contacts.  When I click on the email, it adds new acct

In attempting to sync my Outlook Contacts to my new iphone 5,in iTunes,  Outlook shows in the drop-down box, but it does not allow click-on.  Individual items are not listed to click on. The only listing is my email address and when you sync it, it really does not sync, it adds another email account with the same name, and no contacts sync with it.

also - when I use camera wizard it just tells me the phone is busy or in use  and I should retry.
If I use it through windoes explorer - it shows me the camera to computer symbols and a line moving between then but bombs out saying camera is busy.

  • My iCloud for windows is syncing email and notes with my MS Outlook 2013 on windows 8 but NOT contacts and calendar

Dear, I have downloaded and installed iCloud for windows and see that a user has been auto setup in my MS Outlookvia imap. I can now sync email and notes.I cannot sync icloud contacts and calendar with my MS Outlook, can you help me with this?

iCloud hosts the calendars on its server and your various computers read them from there. The protocol for doing this is called CalDAV.
Outlook for Mac has not been equipped with the programming for CalDAV and therefore cannot access iCloud calendars. Outlook for Windows evidently has and can.
This is something only Microsoft can rectify and you could send them feedback suggesting they do this with all convenient speed.
Outlook on a Mac can only access calendars living under 'On My Mac' and these cannot sync with iCloud. iCal can sync with iCloud provided you have 1-.7.2 or higher.

  • Sync email, contacts & calendar on Live, iphone, PC

I want to sync email, contacts, and calendar on my iPhone and PC just like
it did with my blackberry, but I want to use a live mail account (or gmail or
other provider if Live won't work). The iPhone web pages don't list Live email account information any more like they used to. So I'm not sure what is going on with Live email and the iPhone.
I have an iPhone 2G (just today updated to OS 3.1) with the data plan. I have a Live mail account that I'll be using if possible. I currently have the updated contact list and calendar file that I want to use in Outlook 2003 on my XP desktop computer. I want to PUSH these items onto the iPhone because they have been painfully updated (from multiple accounts from multiple pc and phone upgrades). I want to continue using Outlook on the PC if possible, but want to migrate to using my notebook (that I plan to upgrade from Vista to Win7). I want the messages to dowload to the hard drive on the notebook for archival.
I know I should upgrade the Vista machine to Win7 before I start trying to
sync these 3 devices/areas (2 devices and 1 cloud??? ;-)). Once that is accomplished, I want to sync the notebook (outlook email and calendar and contacts) with the iphone (email, contacts, calendar) and Live (email, contacts, calendar). Will opened email show as "read" on the other devices at next logon? Will calendar updates work properly from any location and propagate to the other devices? Same for Contacts: can I change one anywhere and have it properly update at the other two locations? What about deleting email messages (or contacts, or calendar items), can it be done from any of the 3 and propagate to the the other 2?
    Can it be done? How?

Google does not support Push access for recieved messages when accessing the account as an IMAP account.
Google does support Push access for recieved messages when accessing the account as an Exchange account, but Exchange/ActiveSync is a new protocol for Google.
I have no idea about service interruptions with a Gmail account, but since Exchange/ActiveSync is a new protocol for Google and still considered a Beta I believe, there are bound to be issues from time to time while Google gets the bugs worked out.
The iPhone supports Push access for recieved messages with email account providers that provide/support Push access. The iPhone also supports Fetch access with an option for automatically checking for new messages every 15 minutes, every 30 minutes, or every hour. With an account that supports Push access, you can enable or disable Push access, automatically check the account for new messages, or manually check for new messages.
Nothing personal, but what is the big deal about Push access for recieved messages? What sort of important email do you regularly recieve that must be pushed to the iPhone the instant the message is recieved at the incoming mail server - along with every other message the instant they are recieved at the incoming mail server? To each his/her own, but that would drive me nuts. Nothing I recieve via email is so important that it can't wait for the account to be automatically checked for new messages every 30 minutes (my setting), and I can always manually check the account for new messages in between the automatic check.
Just trying to help you save what amounts to $8.33/mo with a MobileMe account. I haven't read about on-going regular problems with accessing a Gmail account as an IMAP account. This provides for keeping all server stored mailboxes synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account, and you can sync contacts and calendar events direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process at no additional expense. You won't have Push access for recieved messages when accessing a Gmail account as an IMAP account, but I think you will get by A-OK having the account automatically checked for new messages along with being able to do a manual check in between the automatic check if you are expecting an email of significant importance.
And in the interim, Google may get the bugs ironed out with accessing the account as an Exchange account which you can switch to when they do - still at no charge.

  • Blackberry Office 365 email calender & contacts sync

    Hey Guys
I'm looking to hook my Blackberry Bold up with Office 365.
From what I've learnt so far out of the box I can sync email using POP3 or IMAP4.
However, I would like to sync my calendar and contacts too. I understand I need BlackBerry® Enterprise Cloud Services to do this.
I can see that I can turn that service on in my Office 365 account.
However, do I need to purcahse BlackBerry® Enterprise Cloud Services from Blackberry as well?
What else will I need to get it going do you guys think?
Any help/advice  would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Aaron

  • Syncing Question: Is it safe to sync email contacts on iPhone?

    Hi guys,
I have just bought an iPhone which I intend to use for both work and personal stuff. I am wondering when I sync my mail accounts with iPhone, will I be actually exposing my personal email, phone number or any type of personal info to my work email contacts?
I have synced Facebook contacts to iPhone and saw that some friends have whole lots of contact info exposed. That is why before I synced my work email contacts, can anyone explain if our personal things on our iPhone will be exposed to the synced email contacts we have on the same iPhone?
For example: Can work email contacts (Gmail or Yahoo) see my personal Facebook profile photo since it is saved in my own contact list?
Can work email contacts see my phone number when I reply from the iPhone?
Basically any answers related to syncing safety will be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

Thanks, modular747. Sure, but isn't there only one "sync" button that will then sync everything, and isn't iTunes the only place to control what is synced?
I suppose one way to fix this would be to sync my calendars and contacts using iCloud. This would also mean that my iPad was kept in sync more regularly. But I use Google Calendar as a Calendar app and sync this to iCal via BusySync, and am yet to find a way that I can get this (and my Google contacts, which sync with my Address Book) to play nicely.
If there's some way I can use iCloud to sync my calendars and contacts between Mac, iPhone and iPad, while maintain the synchronisation I've currently got running between iCal, Address Book and Google, I'd love to hear it

  • BB10 sync email, contacts, calendar

While I am waiting for Verizon to get their act together, I am re-evaluating my email, calendar, contact syncing.  This seems to be a major issue on the forums.
I presently use gmail and want to use a different system as I am becoming more dissatisfied with their system.
I own two web addresses.  I would like to stay web-based such as gmail.  But I want to sync with my Playbook, Z10 when I get it, and the future web-based system.
I have no problems paying for a reliable system.
What should I be looking at?  Keep the outline simple as I am a simpleton.
    thks

I use web based emails for my personal stuff and I find Gmail is the  leader in this.  With the new Gmail/Google chrome for example , all your Bookmarks (favorites) follow you no matter where you log in using a google browser or which device.      There are so many user preference interfaces coming it's mind boggling.   They know way too much !
Outlook.com and Yahoo.com are following but way behind.  Yahoo has not even woke up yet actually.   Google and the Android operating system are so married it's rediculous yet I can see the benefits if you don't mind being tracked.

  • Any way to sync with Google Contacts and activesync with Exchange emails?

Here's what I'm trying to do:
    1. Sync my iPhone contacts with Google
    2. Have my private calendar synched with Google
    3. Have my work calendar synched with Exchange
    4. Get push email from my Exchange server
    5. View Google email
I have done 1 & 2 using Google Sync for iPhone, but since this is done via ActiveSync it blocks my ability to add my corporate Exchange server as I am only allowed to have one ActiveSync account on the iPhone.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi Adam,
As you probably discovered, the problem is Google Calendar. The iPhone can get email directly from Gmail - without Google Sync - but the Calendar won't work. There are two main options
    1. The simplest option is to view your Google calendar via CalDAV. The iPhone supports CalDAV and can sync with any any CalDAV compatible calendar system. Unfortunately, I believe that it's read-only: using CalDAV, you can't update your Google calendar from the iPhone. However, if read-only is fine, that's the simplest option. Then you'd use Exchange for your work stuff, Mail on the iPhone to talk directly to Gmail, and CalDAV support in the calendar to view your Google calendar.
    2. The more sophisticated option is to use Mail on the iPhone to get Gmail, then use Exchange for everything else. You'd then add SyncMyCal on your Windows PC to sync your Google calendar with your Exchange account. The sync is two-way and works very well. With your Google calendar available in Exchange, the sync from Exchange to the iPhone will now have your Google calendar items too - and you can create new events on your iPhone's calendar that'll end up in Google calendar.

  • Calendar Sync not working - email and contact sync working

    Hi,
my company's exchange activesync is working for email and contact but not for calendar. there is no single meeting in my iphone calendar. when invitation arrives, I get alarm and I can even see invitation on phone and can accept it. it then goes into calendar but gets removed soon after (after it gets sync with exchange I guess).
I know that multiple issues like this have been discussed in this forum but could not find similar. My IT guy telling me that it is iPhone issue as it is only one global object and my email and contacts are working.
BTW, other iphone users have same issues.
Any comments? is this because of 2.2.1?
    thanks,
    Sam

were you able to solve this? i too can sync mail and contacts but not calendar...
so far i have recreated my SSL
    rerun the internet connection wizard
tried it from my ipod touch running 2.2.1
tried it from my dev iphone 3g running 3.0b5
tested and CAN access everything via outlook and OMA
can add an appointment via iphone, it appears in Outlook, but cannot add from outlook and sync
have deleted every single appointment/event/anniversary then added one to check for corrupt.
everything worked fine until a few days ago when the dev iphone had 3.0 installed on it... at first, the calendar was all i could get to sync, we had some interesting firewall setup that was causing confusion for a few things, in an effort to make life easier on the dev phone, the firewall was simplified (removed double NAT). but, in the process of removing and adding and removing and adding my Exchange info, i gained the ability to sync my contacts and mail, but lost my calendar.
i do not think 3.0 is the exact issue, but i do think it may have caused some kind of problem with exchange or activesync which others have apparently been able to cause with 2.2.1.
any verbose suggestions are appreciated... i've spent the last two days pulling out whats left of my hair and trying to find someone with a Windows Mobile or other Activesync device that's not iPhone/iPod to test looking for clues. thanks.

  • Exchange Calendar Won't Sync, Email & Contacts Sync Fine

I have a new 3GS and I set it up on my company Exchange server. Mail syncs fine. Contacts sync fine. My Calendar, however, won't sync to the phone at all. Not one single event. I've turned sync off and then back on, no luck. I've reset the phone, no joy. I've cleaned up all my old recurring appointments thinking maybe that would be the fix, nope. So far nothing I have tried will get the Calendar items to sync. What would allow the mail and contacts to sync just fine but prevent the calendar from working? Thanks!

I finally resolved this issue. I opened the calendar in outlook on my PC. I went to View>Current View>Categories. I expanded the list (click on the little "+" sign to expand) and then deleted EVERY entry. Some were current, but most were expired, and some went back to 2007. As soon as I deleted all of these entries, that basically wiped my Exchange calendar clean. There had to have been some corrupt entries in their that were preventing calendar sync, because once I cleared out all the entries, I sent myself a meeting request and it showed up instantly on the iPhone. All is right in the world again. Hope this helps others with the same problem.

  • I've a new account on iMac.  When composing an email the contact list does not show up on the bar.  WWhen I start keying in a name, it comes up with the address.  How do I engage the  contact list from the email?

I've a new account on iMac.  When composing an email the contact list does not show up on the bar, which would allow me to select the persons I want to include on the distribution of the email.  When I start keying in a name in the email, it comes up with the person's address, which shows it is synced.  How do I engage the contact list from the email like I do on my old account (where a contact list icon shows up, along with the "attach" and other icons) ?

With the New Message window open, go to the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar...".
In the screen that opens, drag the item labelled "Address" into the Toolbar area of the New Message window, then click the "Done" button.
That item should be then added to the Toolbar for the New Message window.
Note that the main Mail window and the New Message window (as well as the separate message window if you open a message that way) use different toolbars - the settings/inclusions for one do not carry over to another.

  • How to sync iPhone/iPad contacts TO Outlook?

I am confused by the cavalier way the term "sync" is bandied about in the MS Outlook/Apple iTunes context.
I want to make my Outlook contacts look just like my iPhone contacts.  I.e., after a sync, I don't want any contact info in one device that's not in the other.
In the past, "sync" has meant to me "make them both the same."  But the mechanism whereby that occurs is not obvious in the context of iTunes and MS Office.  For instance, when iTunes is syncing, what happens if a contact's name is in both the PC and iPhone, but the email addresses are different?  Am I offered the opportunity to make a choice?  What happens if Outlook contains an entry that's not on the phone?  Will it end up on the iPhone? What happens if a contact is in the phone, but not in Outlook -  will it get created in Outlook?
I consider my phone the primary device for accumulating contact information. As a consequence, my Outlook contacts are woefully out of date vis-a-vis my iPhone's.  But I am sore afraid to engage the iTunes syncing, lest it somehow decide that what I want to do is replace the contacts on my iPhone with those from Outlook. I've seen too many comments elsewhere about contacts being lost wholesale, or duplicated wholesale.
Is there any definitive source for further detailed information on this subject?

Here is the way about how to transfer contacts from iPhone to Outlook:
Step 1: Connect the iPhone to the computer using the supplied USB cable and launch the iTunes application. iTunes displays your iPhone on the left panel under "Devices".
Step 2: Click your iPhone on the iTunes panel and click the "Info" tab. Click "Sync contacts with" and select "Outlook."
Step 3: Select "All Contacts" if you want to sync all the contacts from your iPhone to Outlook. If you want to select specific contacts, click "Selected groups" and place a check on the contacts you want to sync to Outlook.
Step 4: Click "Apply" to sync your iPhone contacts to Outlook. Click the "Eject" button on the right panel and disconnect your phone from the computer. Close iTunes.
Step 5: Launch Outlook and click the "Contacts" tab. You should see the imported iPhone contacts.
