Sync encountered an error while connecting: Failed to conect to the server. Please try again.
Does this mean the server is down? How would I know? Is there a status page somewhere? I'm not having any internet connectivity issues.

I don't see a way to delete my question. A simple restart of the browser fixed the problem.

This was working just fine until the update. I did the reset password. It says it is reset, but when I exit firefox and restart, I get the same error. I've put in the new password and get the same error. This almost looks like my account was deleted from the sync server, but when i do the reset password, everything says it is ok. But Firefox keeps giving me this error.

Sometimes the server is not available and you can get an error like this one. Usually it works if you try to sync later. If this doesn't work, take a look to [https://philikon.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/how-to-file-a-good-sync-bug/ this post] to learn how to report a bug.

I have started getting the following message for some reason. No one has been able to answer it on the user forums. Can you help please? "Sync encountered an error while connecting: Server incorrectly configured. Please try again"
same thing, started today. i have pasted my sync-log here. my username has been changed from my real username to "username". i noticed the URL in the log. nslookup returns Non-authoritative answer:

Aliases: phx-sync038.services.mozilla.com and i am able to surf to the page. it asks me for a username and password, in which i put my sync username & password. it seems to take the login/pass just fine but no page is served - it just sits on loading forever.

I'm trying to publish a site withdreamweaver as one of the 5 sites I get with my CC account using business catalyst, but I get the following error message "There was an issue connecting to the server. Please try again later. 124." whenever i try and connect which doesnt really help.

I have tried to do a clean install but it fails to resolve the above output message. Therefore I am now attaching my debug information to this forum hoping someone can help me in finding a solution to my problem. for more logs, we can look at the variables in about: config and doing a search services.sync
services.sync.lastSync may be useful to track the status of the synchronization

This is the error message displayed at each attempt to sync a second computer from a Firefox Sync account (Firefox button > Sync Now OR Options > Sync > Manage Account > Reset Sync).
I have connected two computers following this process:

On the secondary computer, the Options > Sync dialog box shows that my account is logged in (i.e. my Firefox Sync user name is displayed).
What is Sync looking for that isn't already provided? From the primary computer, the connection is completed without errors. On the secondary computer, Sync attempts produce this error message. Any help provided would be much appreciated!

Sync last worked successfully Friday 6/10/11 @ 13:46 just before I left work. Shut computer down. Monday, started computer, and tried to sync and received error. No changes have been made to system.
