Sync entire iTunes library across Macs using iCloud?

Is it possible to use iCloud to sync my laptop and desktop's iTunes libraries?
I know I can use iCloud and my Apple ID to sync all my Purchased Items between devices (I use this with my iPad/iPhone), but I'd like to be able to sync everything, not just purchased items from the iTunes store, including the name/genre/etc information.
Ideally, when I add a new audio file to iTunes on my laptop and give it a name, genre and artist, that file is automatically added to my desktops library, keeping both iTunes libraries on both machines identical.
Is this possible?

All okay in Settings and Preferences of iCloud and Calendar on either side, iPhone and Mac? Please double-check, often it's only one checkmark or "on" button missing, or an Apple ID not logged in...
If okay, go to www.icloud.com and see if the events are in there. That would help narrowing the search.

Can't sync entire iTunes library to AppleTV

I have a first-generation Apple TV, and I've been using it mostly as a music server-- I keep all of the music in my iTunes library (about 40GB worth) on the Apple TV, and when I want to listen to music, I can just use the Remote application on my iPad to pick the music I want to listen to.
Recently I discovered that all of my songs weren't actually on the Apple TV anymore-- it appears that only the ones I have checked in iTunes are on the AppleTV. I have manual sync turned on in iTunes, and I have the sync settings for music set to "entire library." There isn't a setting in iTunes that says whether to sync everything or just the checked items. Is there a way to get it to sync my entire iTunes library to the Apple TV? Is this something that changed in some recent version of iTunes?
I know I can stream songs from my Mac to the Apple TV, but I don't have my Mac powered up all the time, and I don't really want to start doing this, especially since there's ample hard disk space on the Apple TV to store everything.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks a lot...

That's what the checkboxes are for, they need to be checked before the Apple TV will either sync or stream that particular content. It's always been that way

IPod Classic won't sync entire iTunes Library

My iPod Classic 160GB won't sync any new songs that i have put into iTunes. When selecting sync entire library it only shows 2066 songs, when there is actually 2543 in my library. iTunes is iTunes version 12.0.1 running 10.10.2. Anyone help?

There are many solutions posted for this issue. Sadly, none work. They may APPEAR to work initially but after a short time, the issue will return. It's a software problem and Apple doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry to correct.

I'm a teacher and I use my MBP in school and, while I've not had any issues with students looking through my computer, I'd like to use a seperate 'school' user just in case. I need to have access to my iTunes library and I tried moving it to a shared folder but, possibly because of the size of my library, itdoesn't seem to work. Is there a way I can use iTunes match to enable my 'school' user to access my library in the same way I can with my iPhone?

However, if you do decide to use iTunes Match the answer to your question is "Yes". iTunes Match can be used to "sync" your iTunes library across multiple devices / computers / users.

How do I sync iTunes Library in Mac directly with IOS device if I use iTunes Match?

When I turned on Itunes Match on the iPad and iPhone, my entire iTunes Library imported from the Mac using the iTunes sync process was moved to the Cloud. Turn off iTunes match on the device temporarily and sync whatever you want from iTunes using the iTunes sync. When you turn iTunes match on again the synced content should be supplemented by the ability to download the remainder of your library, it should not be deleted.

I can't tell from your post what you have and what you don't have. Are you saying the files are no longer on your computer, no longer on your iPod, or both?

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Moving an entire iTunes library from PC to Mac

My Dell Inspiron is basically shot right now and I have to move my ENTIRE iTunes library (literally everything; music, music videos, podcasts, and apps for iOS devices) from it to my sister's MacBook Pro before the Dell is completely dead. My music is already on an external drive, but I think everything else (music videos, podcasts, and apps) is on the main hard drive, which I am planning to move to the external drive. I don't want to lose the data on my apps (such as game high scores and saved to-do lists). I don't want to have to restore and re-sync my iDevice as it takes a very long time. I also don't want to lose minor song information such as year, composer, genre, track number, and album artwork. Basically, I want my iTunes library on the MacBook Pro to be exactly like the one I had on the Dell.
How do I go about moving my entire iTunes library with everything intact as smoothly as possible with little or no problems from PC to Mac?

It's important that you copy the xml file inside the iTunes folder on Windows (Documents / Music) along with all your files. Then you have to transfer the iTunes folder into your Mac (usually is located inside the Music folder) and start iTunes. Inside iTunes pref make sure you select the right folder for your music. Another important thing is to have the same iTunes version on Windows and Mac when doing such operations. I hope that helps, bye

Syncing one itunes library / account to multiple comp. using home sharing.

Hi guys, just have a quick question. I am setting up a home network and am using a western digital external drive for time machine ( because I have heard that the time capsules are unreliable) for the computers in my home. (which is working great)
I have successfully synced my itunes library and account on the computers in the network via the "home sharing" option. I have it set up so any changes I make to my itunes library ( add songs, apps exc.) it will copy them to my other computers libraries. Thus my itunes libraries are identical.
Is there any way to sync my iphone on more than one computer? Could I use home share or some other app to accomplish this. That way I can sync my phone on my macbook and my desktop.
Also is there any to sync the pictures to all my computers. (other than using mobile me)
P.s: I am also using mobile me if that makes any difference.

When using homeshare, I realized I CANNOT buy new media thru itunes.
When buying music, apps or video, the purchase fails.
Says "contact itunes support to complete transaction".
Tried several times.
Even changed credit cards on the acct. Still no go.
Not a credit card issue
iTunes tech was pretty much clueless. Told me to try the purchase
after waiting 24 hours.
Then I started thinking about homeshare and media rights, so I turned off
homeshare on both mac's, and the purchase went thru.
Apple added homeshare to the latest itunes update, or media share (what ever they call it), but looks like something is at issue as to media rights and homeshare and buying from itunes with share is enabled.

Sync itunes library between macs

hello guys, i had a macbookpro for 2 years and i just bought a new i mac for home use and an airport extreme (new version with hard disk connection capabilities), and i did that for a reason. well my mbpro is packed with music and videos and i would like to remove them from this library. so the question that pops out: is there anyway to sync an itunes library to another one on the network or on airport extreme and put only may favorite and/or recently added, recently played content.

I have the same question, and can't seem to find an answer. I have 3 Mac computers - iMac, Macbook and Macbook Pro (yes I'm addicted to Apple products) and an iPhone. They are all on my networked via a 1TB Time Machine and I can "share" the iTunes libraries between the machines, but I would love to get every tune, app, and video on all the machines so the libraries are identical and they can all sync with my iPhone. Apparently, you can't use the "shared" libraries on the machine used to sync your iPhone. I've read one post (about a year old) about editing Hex and XML and the like, but that's too complicated for my skills. I'm trying to figure out why Apple would hamper their very best customers (and may I add, stockholder) by not allowing a single user of multiple computers to sync everything up. Its like the more money you spend on apple stuff, the more complicated your life gets - that just ain't right!

Problems accessing music from original PC iTunes library after uploading to iCloud using iTunes Match

I uploaded my entire iTunes library to iCloud using iTnes match and then deleted library from that PC. I can aceess my tunes from iCloud on my iPad and work PC but when i try to listen to iTunes music from th PC that held the original library it looks for the file on the hard drive even though the cloud icon is beside the track in iTunes. Some of the tracks have a ! And no cloud but I can't play any of it. What's going on?

I have the same issue. My hardrive crashed on my PC and I lost my entire itunes library. I have all my music uploaded in the iCloud using iTunes Match and would like a way to download it all to my PC. Is there no way to do this?

Recently my hard drive failed on my mac mini. I had burned a bunch of CDs on the old mac mini and then sync'd it with my iphone. Now the CDs are on my iphone but not on the new mac mini. How can I sync my itunes library from my iphone to my new mac mini?

The iphone is not a backup device.
You need to copy everything from the backup copy of your computer computer to your new one.
