Sync fail - files accessed via app always older versions

Hi, I have a 2TB My Cloud device and various Android devices running the My Cloud App. I have the app set to auto-sync every 120mins however when accessed via the app my files are always older versions, often by a couple of months. The time stamp suggests sync has occured but when I open the file it is clearly an older version. No other error messages or obvious issues. Any ideas? ThanksStuart

If you access the drive directly from a pc, are you able to see the recent versions of the files?
Have you tried reinstalling the app?

Requirements for iPhone 5:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 10.7 or later
The highest version of iTunes you can install is 10.6.3 which will not sync with the iPhone 5.

Hope you are doing good.
Hope the link mentioned earlier helps. If the issue persists, do the below:
1)
Set the parameters back to the state they were after installation. This will synchronise the configurations with the default SAP
settings and restart the cluster. Check sap note; 1589548.
2)
If the logs are still populated with the portal logon app error, then do a force deployment of the latest patch for EPBC2 component as this patch should resolve the issue.

It seems that many (if not all) of my files have been replaced by older versions. I kind find the multiple versions (listed in the Search as in the same dir) and restore them but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done a restor

I can find the multiple version including the most recent version using the Search, however, they show up in the same directory even though Finder only shows a single copy. I am able to save and then overwrite in order to restore but this is strange. There is no chance that another user here has done any sort of system restore action (at least intentionally).

In a OS Extended (HFS) file system there is no way you can have two files with identical names in the same directory.
Of course who knows what spotlight is thinking of most of the time when it does its stupid searches (get Find any File instead) and lists its results? Are you sure it is listing the same directory or do you have a backup and it is finding it there and you aren't noticing it is two different volumes?
You could also try reindixing the volume. Add it to the Spotlight system preferences Privacy and then remove it.

Does iOS 7 Support Apps for Older Versions of iOS?

Does iOS 7 support apps for older versions of iOS? This is my first big iOS upgrade so I wanted to be sure about this.

Which is why I said "should" rather than "will". As there are no absolutes, I'm pretty sure there will be an app somewhere that will not run or have issues until its updated to the new iOS.
With that said for the most part there "should" be no issues updating to a new iOS version related to having older unupdated apps, but its still possible that there can be.

Help! FCP 6.0.6 Export Failed "File Access Denied"

I use HDV video captured via Firewire with a Sony external HDV deck.
In FCP, I use "Easy Setup", Format: HD / Use: HDV-1080i60.
Export using Quicktime (not quicktime conversion) and set export using HDV 1080i60.
No matter the legnth of the sequence, I will get the error message, "File Access Denied", but not until the end of the export! So it will go until the export should be "done", then give me the error message.
All files are on the computer's hard drive, no external hard drives are used to or from when exporting.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Did you COMPLETELY UNINSTALL FCP before you reinstalled it?
Trashing the icon is not enough - there may be corrupt files remaining which will ruin the new installation.

Hooking file access via a driver

Hi all,
I would like to write a driver in such a way that all file access to a media containing a ufs file system goes via my driver.. ie in the NT scenario its a filter driver... how do i do this in solaris 7.. can i write a driver which is just above the disk driver and catch all the i/o operations like read / write....
gurus any idea how to proceed about this... any help is really appreciated...

This maybe possible to build a virtual driver which sits to map
into the actual solaris disk driver layer (sd driver). Start with bp_mapin()
manpage and DDW (Solaris Device Driver Writing) manual (http://docs.sun.com) and get more info on the bp_mapin() usage.

E4200v2: Local Management Access via Wireless *ALWAYS* Enabled

I just found a slightly unsettling bug in the E4200v2 (running the latest firmware 2.0.36 build 126507).
Administration > Local Management Access > Access via Wireless ... set to DISABLED.
HOWEVER, when I attempted to access the web interface on a handy iPAD I had absolutely no problem getting through to the web interface (after providing username and passsword).
Limiting access to wired clients seems like a simple a prudent measure ... which is why this option is there for the paranoid among us.
This seems like a black-and-white bug. Comments welcome. Fix in the next firmware revisio even more welcome.

It was mentioned in another thread that disabling wireless management does indeed disable http access over port 80. However, if you're using https access--which uses port 443, that access is not blocked. So for anyone who wants to disable wireless management access, you need to enable management access via http only, and then disable the wireless access. That combination will indeed work.
I have confirmed this on my own router and can now only manage via wired connections over http.

Can't run my app with older version of jre anymore. Help!

Java Web Start is supposed to allow applications to use older versions of Java JRE. My applet uses 1.6.0_31 because it doesn't work with 1.7. (Backward compatibility? Don't ask.)
When I first set it up a couple of weeks ago, it worked. Now, with JRE 1.7 officially released it does not. When I try to run it, I get the following message:
"This application would like to use an older version of Java (1.6.0_31) that is not installed on your system. We recommend running the application with the latest version o java on your computer. Then there are two buttons.
One button says "Run with latest version". The other button says "Cancel". When I click on "Cancel" the application fails with the following

Looks to me like Cancel does not mean "Run Older Version". While I am debugging why I can't use the latest version of jre, can someone please tell me how to use the older version?

I'm the developer. And thank you for your prompt response. I have been given a work around so that the applet can use version 1.7. But that still doesn't explain what I am doing that makes Java fail to use the older version.
I put this code in my jnlp file on March 27th when I realized that my app didn't work with version 1.7. I tested it at that time and it worked. In the process I installed and uninstalled java 1.6.0_31 ( and 1.7) several times. Maybe something important got corrupted then.

Imovie files suggesting "saved with an older version" ???

I hope someone can help.
I have been converting old analogue tapes to DV-PAL with aid of a canopus ADVC110 analogue to digital convertor. I am saving the files to an external hard drive (lacie mini hub 250GB). They appeared to save successfully but I have discovered later, upon re-opening the files, the following message "project was saved with an old version of imovie....." If I save the file the image becomes pixelated. I have about 10 projects, some are o.k one day and others projects are reporting the problem?
Unsure what is happening here and how to resolve.

I probably haven't explained myself to well.
I am running imovie HD 6.0.3, the lastest version.
I have been saving my projects (converting analogue-PAL to DV-PAL via a canopus ADC) in imovie HD 6.0.3, however upon opening the files later during the week I get the following message.
"The project “hi8 tape 1” was saved with an older version of iMovie HD. Opening it in this version will cause it to be upgraded, which will make it unreadable by older versions. Are you sure you want to open it?"
I'm unsure how this is happening when I'm running the lastest copy of imovie HD 6.0.3
When I do attempt to save I receive the following message.
"Files that iMovie can understand are in iMovie’s Trash. Any other files have been moved into the Finder’s Trash. Would you like to view iMovie’s Trash contents now?"
If I do go ahead and save it doesn't help, the video capture becomes totally pixelated after I move the files from imovie trash back to clip viewer or the imovie trash is empty? Sometimes it works by moving the files from imovie trash to the clip viewer but the following day if I open the projects I get the same old ver. problem
I am writing and saving the project to an external hard drive. Are their problems in doing that? The external hardrive is mac OSX extended (journaled)

Why uninstall all files to upgrade Desktop from older version on CD You loose user manual and God knows what else!

Upgraded Palm desktop for Macintosh. Followed std help instructions to put my user data in safe place and then proceed with deleting all old version files.
I'm done with version upgrade, now where is the documentation to use it? I used to have a document folder in PALM application folder, but the new install didn't create it. No manual, no readme files. I do still have the V4.0 CD.

It seems like their instructions to get all the PALM files off the hardrive mean there is no use for what is on the CD once you run a software install off their website. But even this popular solution mentions in 2nd paragraph their are "certain features" on the CD. lost CD sol'n
I have read you want the CD data on hardrive when upgrading, or maybe just keep it for extra files like RealPlayer...

Among the alternatives not mentioned... Using a TiVo DVR, rather than the X1; a Roamio Plus or Pro would solve both the concern over the quality of the DVR, as well as providing the MoCA bridge capability the poster so desperately wanted the X1 DVR to provide. (Although the TiVo's support only MoCA 1.1.) Just get a third-party MoCA adapter for the distant location. Why the hang-up on having a device provided by Comcast? This seems especially ironic given the opinions expressed regarding payments over time to Comcast. If a MoCA 2.0 bridge was the requirement, they don't exist outside providers. So couldn't the poster have simply requested a replacement XB3 from the local office and configured it down to only providing MoCA bridging -- and perhaps as a wireless access point? Comcast would bill him the monthly rate for the extra device, but such is the state of MoCA 2.0. Much of the OP sounds like frustration over devices providing capabilities the poster *thinks* they should have.

File Upload via CSOM is incrementing Version number by 2.

Any ideas why a file upload via CSOM is incrementing the version number by 2 instead of one?
I am using the following code to perform the upload

Inder was one I was chatting with and as I was typing another challenging question to the just down stupid answer I got being treated as an idiot, he or she cut me off, closed the chat and stated thank you for using Adobe chat support. I guess the stats on how fast you deal with an issue is far more important than proving a viable service Adobe. YES I AM F!@#$%G MAD.
So I found out that Bridge went out of their way in development to stop me from organizing and or just opening files from DropBox. All I wanted to do was conveniently open a JPG in RAW for some preliminary editing before bring the file into Photoshop CC. A feature that Adobe has been ranting and bragging about for a while. When I tried this GREAT feature in Bridge as it were, I could not even open the shortcut to the folders where I store my photos in the cloud DropBox. When I persisted, Bridge eventually crashed. I am sure that was some easy code to put in there to teach me a lesson for not buying Adobe cloud storage.
So, after had spending 1000s and 1000s of dollars on Adobe products over the last 20 + years, I get treated as an idiot, an undereducated consumer, no respect and have to adhere to timeline restraints to meet a undereducated / under-trained so called specialist stats she he she won't get reprimanded or loose their job.
So here is my knowledge to the issue at hand. I can not navigate Internet Based Cloud services without having to download them to my desktop first using Bridge CC. Thus rendering this app useless when most if not all project files are on the cloud. (Using the cloud makes so much sense in my case as a collaborator, project lead - manager, teacher in the arts of multimedia and a professional photographer).
Seems like there is no solution from Adobe, so my question to the forum is, what apps are you using to get around this issue. Adobe doesn't deserve my loyalty anymore and must EARN IT BACK! Third party solutions free or otherwise is welcomed.

SYNC (FAILED :File is writable )

Hi ,
I have error while trying to sync sources...
1. Previews activity was interrupt(while checkin ) , because of that some files that was edited stayed in writable mode,for those files i cant create new activity....
While sync sources i get a lot of errors about all the 9 files that i edited in the previews activity .
In the DTR perspective i see this files with yellow exclamation mark (!).
What can i do to upload those files ( add them to new activity )

I solved it .
Go to the property of every file and set the read only flag,
Then sync sources.

HT204036 why do apps demand older versions (java 6) if their jar runs fine under java 8 (e.g. freemind) ?

Since i had installed the newest version of Java several Java applications urge me to install the older Java 6.
I wonder why since the jar included in the package runs fine under Java 8 as expected.

There are two different Java distributions for end users: one distributed by Apple, and one by Oracle. They don't overlap in function.
The Apple Java runtime (version 6) is needed to run bare jar files and older standalone Java applications. Newer Java applications have the Java runtime built in, and don't depend on Apple's Java.
The Oracle Java runtime (version 8 or later) is a web plugin only. It's used to run Java applets on web pages and Java WebStart applications. You can determine whether it's installed and up to date by looking for a preference pane named Java in System Preferences. If it's present, open it. It will launch the "Java Control Panel." Select the Update tab.
