Sync Failed to Finish with iPad 2

I have an iPad 2, version 6.1.2. I am trying to sync photos to my iPad using the USB port. iTunes goes through the sync process, gets to the last step and says "sync failed to finish". I have restored the iPad, deleted old backups, deleted and reinstalled iTunes and still get the same message. Help me please!!

- Try restoring to factory defaults/new iPod if you have not already
- Connect to another computer and restore to factory defaults/new iPod. Then connect to yoor computer and try

How do I sync my iphone 3g with ipad I have icloud on both devices

An iCloud email account is an IMAP account. With an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account. Unless you have changed the Mailbox Behaviors with the account settings on each device, the account's Drafts, Sent Mailbox, and Deleted Mailbox are stored on the server with each device. Any user created mailboxes are also stored on the server.
On each device, go to Settings > iCloud. Contacts and Calendars need to be turned on for over the air syncing.
To have iMessages synced with each device, check this link.

If you have an iPhone 3G, how are you accessing an iCloud account since iOS 5 is not supported with an iPhone 3G?

You have to use iCloud for the Notes. Books can be synced via iTunes.

  • Unable to sync iMac address book with iPad. Can you please help?

Unable to sync iMac address book with iPad. Can you please help?

I have the same problem as Sheilaza but haven't been able to solve it using the advice offered.  The same problem applies to my Calendars. When I look at my iPad settings in iTunes, it says:
    Sync Contacts
Your contacts are being synced with your iPad over the air from iCloud.
Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on your iPad.
    and the same for Calendars.
On the iPad, in iCloud settings, I have checked 'Contacts' and 'Calendars' as 'ON' but the Calendar remains blank and the Contacts are a very old version that was somehow created when I set up the iPad initially.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • I need to sync my mac calendar with ipad and iphone and visa versa.

I need to sync my mac calendar with ipad and iphone and visa versa. I have read up on it and Mobileme seemed the way to go, but isn't for sale anymore.  Will installing lion allow me to integrate calendars???

You should post in the SL forum for more help.
Since you're using SL, you should be able to sync using iSync application or iTunes. I'm not familiar with it, but I know it can be done.
And yes, if you install Lion and use iCloud, you will be able to sync iCal between all devices. Once set up, whatever change made on one automatically updates the other. Same for AddressBook.

  • Syncing iPhone 4S video with iPad 1 problem

I just bought an iPhone 4s and shot a video this morning. I plugged it into my laptop and synced it.  I then plugged in my iPad 1 and synced it.  It said there were 2 items that wouldn't sync and they were the videos I shot.  What's the problem ?  It said check iTunes.  I looked but didn't see the problem anywhere.

    Hello, Timusername.
The following may be helpful in getting you calendars syncing correctly:
Sync Services: Advanced troubleshooting for contact and calendar syncing
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2481
Start with the first section that refers to Reset Sync History, then navigate to the section for your operating system Mac OS X 10.6.8.  Test syncing after each step.  If the issue persists see the section regarding syncing calendars:
    For issues with syncing calendars
First, you should back up your calendars: Back up your calendars by choosing File > Export > Calendar Archive in OS X Mountain Lion or File > Export > iCal Archive in OS X Lion or Mac OS X v10.6. In Mac OS X v10.5, you can back up your iCal data by selecting File > Back up iCal.
    Cheers,

  • Sync Live Mail Calendars With Ipad

I would like to Synch the Calendar from my Windows Live. with the my 7.1.1 iPad Air. In this instance Windows Live, is a mail client running under Windows 8.1. It is not a Microsoft hosted service such as Outlook.com. All mail is served by a 3rd party as part of a domain hosting package. So Live mail is purely a client for receiving and sending mail, in much the same way as Echange or Outlook might. Does anyone know how to configure this?

It works if you are using Push with an Exchange/Gmail account:
    Go to Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Select the account you want to sync the various mailboxes with
    Select Mail Folders to Push
Select all of your sub folders.
This is not an option with MobileMe, as MobileMe is not true push.  It does not push changes made on a desktop client to the phone, and vice versa.

  • Why can't I sync my todo list with ipad and iPhone?

Is there any way, without buying a separate app to sync the todo list in ical with ipad or my iphone?

RIM has taken a bit of a cloud approach on this. If you use gmail, you can install Google Sync on your blackberry. This will sync your calendar (and contacts if you wish) up to the cloud, and then when you enable it on your playbook, down to there. I'm using this setup, and my BlackBerry, PlayBook, and Google Calendar are always in sync no matter where I make the edit or change.
Why RIM didn't implement a method for imporating this data, no one knows. But if you really wish to just view your BB data, you'll have to use Bridge apps for now.

  • How do I sync my iPhone 4s with iPad ?

How do I sync calendars on my iPhone 4s to iPad ? I recently bought both and first time owning Apple products. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using a calendar app on your computer that is supported for syncing calendars/calendar events with an iOS device, this is selected under the Info tab for the iTunes sync preferences with each device.
If you have a Gmail account and use Gmail's online calendar, you can access your Gmail account on each device which includes push access for received messages, and over the air syncing for your Google online calendar and contacts with each device. The same applies with a Hotmail or Windows Live account accessed as an Exchange account with each device, and the same with a free Apple iCloud account which also includes a find my device feature if the device is lost or stolen. iCloud also includes an online backup for each device along with several other features.

  • Sync everything on Mail with iPad! - folders, sent, drafts, etc.

I have an iPad and a Mac book pro. I want to sync my email so I can see the folders that I use on my Mac, see sent mail from my iPad on my Mac, and be able to see drafts I have written on both.  How do I do this?
As of right now, if i send emails from my iPad, I can't see them on my Mac. If I set up a folder on my Mac, I can't see it on my iPad. This is really frustrating since I receive over 60 emails a day and need a good way to organize them.
I use the mail app on my Mac. My email I use is a POP account. I have my iPad set up with iCloud, MobileMe, and anything I could think of that might be able to fix this issue.
    Please help!

    Howdy!
I believe that in order to accomplish this you would need to first verify that your email account provider provides IMAP services, and that your account uses it.  If not, you'll need it.  The mail apps in both OS X and iOS will need to be configured with the proper port and server info (incoming and outgoing) as well. You can usually search the web for the config info you need from your provider, ie GoDaddy, Gmail, Hover, yahoo, etc.
Each provider, I'm sure will have setup tutorials for IMAP email via the mail apps in your devices.
Hope that helps point you in the right direction!
    Cheers!

Not a direct answer to your question, but my workaround was to get an email address which is only on my computer and CC myself.
