Sync files - already imported local files in DW, what next?

Hi,
I've already imported my files from my local device in Dreamweaver (DW). Now I have copied the whole material in the Sync file map from Creative Cloud. But the files are still the same in my DW and set to my local files on my computer. What can I do next?
A) delete the files in DW (from my local) and then import the ones from my sync map (Creative cloud map) ?
or
B) don't do anything it's a connection... Everything I change in my local files also changes in my Creative cloud map ?
Thanks!

I have no idea what you are describing. What files are you "importing" and what do you mean by "importing"?
To use DW to build a website, one would need to complete each of the following steps:
Install DW on a local computer
Start DW and using DW's Site manager menu option, define a local site (i.e., tell DW where you want your local files stored) and a remote site (where the files will eventually be placed so that they can be seen on the web
Use DW to create your HTML pages
Save the pages within your local site in a folder hierarchy of your choice
Upload the final files/images/dependent files to the remote site
Where are you on that list of things?

  • Moved Library some files not found, what next?

Just moved my Library and renamed it. Tested it and conclude that 30% of my music files seemed to reside in 2nd Library which I removed (after backing up). These files can no longer be found by iTunes. I can restore the backup and try to locate the files, but that would return me to a double library files structure whic I would like to avoid.
So my question is: How do I best consolidate my library?
    Is this right?:
    1) Restore backup Library to New disk and Folder location (i.e. physically add the files to the structure)
    2) Locate the files by trying to play again and opting to locate when prompted.
    OR
Use the consolidate function once I have restored.
(I donlt quite understand what the consolidate function does - though it sounds like its just the right tool)
Thanks for any advise on this before I proceed...
P.S. Yes I did opt not to consolidate during the move process when prompted by the iTunes system. That may have been a mistake...

It's probably easier to just drag them back into your itunes library, and delete the references to the ones from the C: drive.
Otherwise you will have to locate each song's new path.
As you've discovered, it's a bad idea to move file locations outside of itunes. It stores the absolute path to each file, so if it changes, it can't find it.

  • Reducing Size of Already Imported Files

I've imported a lot of spoken word CDs into iTunes on my PowerBook. I used same bit rate, etc. settings for music and spoken word CDs. Would now like to put the spoken word material on my new iPod, but use different settings to save space. Question: do I have to go back to original CDs and import again? Or can I convert files already imported?
    thanks,
    MisterWill

If you go into the iTunes Preferences -> Importing, you can set a lower bit rate/sample rate and choose the file type (ie, AAC, MP3, etc).
Then go to your songs and right click (Control+Click) and choose Convert to Mp3 (or whatever format you specified). You'll end up with the original CD rip, plus the new encoded song at a lower rate. Then you can make a smart playlist matching criteria for low bit rate, etc... and then sync this over to your iPod.

  • PPro Won't Load Already Imported .MOV files

    Hi,
I have been working on a project for a good 3-4 weeks, everything has been fine until now. Now PPro won't load my already imported footage, it just gives me a ? mark like this:
Why is this just starting now? Granted there is over 300 files in the project...But I have had 400-500 before. I have Premiere Pro CS6, an AMD Phenom II X4 at 3.00 GHz, 8 GB's of RAM, and an AMD Radeon 6450HD. And also a 1TB hard drive.
Any help would be appreciated. Trying to get this project done ASAP.
    Thanks

I think that would've worked but everytime I try PPro freezes. Even if I only select 2 or 3. Could this have anything to do with Adobe Media Core being open?
    Thanks again

  • Moving creative cloud sync files on local drive

Upon the latest update to the Creative Cloud app, all my sync files were moved locally from my secondary (data) hard drive to my primary boot drive, without notification or permission.
Now the software won't move them back, even though I reset the default file location back to where I want them.
How can I restore my files back to where they where without messing up all the sync data with the cloud?

    Hi,
We are aware of this issue. Can you open the Creative Cloud Application and click on Assets from the top menu then files and finally click on open Folder. This will take you to the location of your files.
You may change the location of the Creative Cloud files folder to the location you had before from Preferences>Files>Folder Location
    Thanks

  • I'm trying to share to Media Browser a 20 minute still slide show with music and text. I have tried several times to save at 1080 HD, but just before it's finished, a message box pops up saying "File already open with write permission."  What's this mean?

I'm trying to finalize/share to Media Browser a 20 minute still slide show with music and text. I'd like to finalize it 1080 hd and have tried several times, but just before it's finished, a message box pops up saying it can't be done because "File already open with with write permission."  What does this mean?  All files are closed; this iMovie project is the only thing open.  Does it mean one of the song files from iTunes? And should I just settle for saving it as a "large" file, which is what I'm trying right now?
    Thanks,

I'm wondering if it moved my rhapsody music to the cloud (which is pointless) so I shut off 'document' sharing in case that's the problem, but it's still saying I'm at 5G right now.
When I go to icloud.com all I see is the dumb app icons, with no clue as to what's taking up that disk space.
btw, I did not sync photos from the get-go.
A file browser? please? I need to see my cloud.

Have you enabled Automatic Downloads on all of your devices? This would download all of the books to all of your devices when you download on any device - as long as you are using the same Apple ID and iTunes account on all of your devices.
Go to Settings>Store>Automatic Downloads>Books>On. When you download a book on one iDevice, it will download to all of your iDevices. This will only work for downloads moving forward from the moment that you turn the setting on. You will have to download the previously purchased books to all of your other devices.
With iCloud, you can start reading the book on one device and then pickup where you left off on another device.

Error -49 opWrErr  File already open with write permission
Trash the preference files while application is NOT Running.
Easiest way to find out if this is the problem is by:
    • Create a new User-Account
    • Log out of Your old one and into this
    • Re-try iMovie
If it now works OK - then 99.9% the problem is iMovie pref. file that needs to be trashed.

The way that Dropbox works is that it keeps a copy of all your files in your local Dropbox folder on your hard drive (which is, by default, directly under your home folder). Adding files to that folder will sync them to the Dropbox server.
You do of course have to download the Dropbox application to enable this (download link at the top right of http://dropbox.com ).

  • Where did my synced files go? I synced them on the tablet, now I want to get them on my PC

Where did my synced files go? I synced them on the tablet, now I want to get them on my PC
    How do I access them?

    Via Creative Cloud.
One caveat: If you want to work with PS Touch's native file format (which is PSDX), you'll have to have Photoshop CC (or CS) and the PSDX plug-in.
Another option would be to export any projects as the PSD file format and open those in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you import these back into PS Touch, note that PSD files will be automatically flattened.

  • Sync files with iPhone 4s after updating to itunes version 11.1.4

after updating iTunes to version 11.1.4 it wont automatically sync files with my iPhone 4s

After updating to the newest version of iTunes which is 11.1.3.8, I can no longer edit song information because whenever I click Get Info, the program crashes. It says, "iTunes has stopped working...". I literally tried all the troubleshooting techniques here but to no avail!
    I already:
Reinstalled iTunes and other related programs like a hundred times
    Scanned my computer for viruses
Opened iTunes on another user account
    Opened iTunes on safe mode
    Removed unusable configuration files
BUT STILL, the problem persists. I have the same version of iTunes on my office computer and it works perfectly fine but I want my iTunes here at home to get fixed. Never had problems with editing song information until I updated it to 11.1.3.8.
I just don't know what to do anymore. I updated this program last January 1 and until now I haven't found any solution. It's really getting on my nerves!!!

This is not answering your question but I found these and wondered if they might be helpful. You may already have the info.

I had these kinds of errors mostly when starting offlineimap for the first time, because it always had some problems when it came to create nested folder structures. I don't know which version you are using but the newest version 5.99.15 was released just two days ago and looking at the commit logs it seems to have fixed problem related to the creation of folders.
So if you're not using the lates version try using that one and see if that fixes your problem.
The other thing is that the path offlineimap tries to create a folder containing brackets, i.e. [Gmail]. I don't know if those get handled correctly of if they are the cause of your error.
You also might want to take a look at the commented config file for imap. There is a section related to gmail, so perhaps you should try using some other settings when using gmail. I sadly can't really help with the gmail stuff as I don't use it.
