Sync for MAC

Does anyone have any idea when BB is going to release a Sync version that will work with a MAC an Entourage 2008. Seems like those of us with MAC's and use Entourage are stuck out in here in nowhere land left to our devices trying to get information from my Curve 8310 to my computer

I'm not a MAC guy, but did you know there is a forum called Blackberry for MAC that would probably have an answer?

There are two things that should really be put forward in this post.
First, this is not a final candidate of Media Sync, but a "Preview Version". In other words, I'm assuming it's Beta.
Second, the following cannot be stated clearly enough: "After installing the Preview Version of BlackBerry® Media Sync, other software previously used to synchronize data with your Mac®, such as PocketMac® for BlackBerry® devices or Missing Sync, will no longer be able to connect to your device and will not work until BlackBerry® Media Sync is uninstalled."
I like Media Sync. It works with my Bold and I can import my iTunes playlists. What I don't understand is why it would, by its installation, nullify other applications like PocketMac which are just as important (if not much, much more). What's the point if installing one cancels-out the other? Is this being corrected? What is BlackBerry/RIM's development timeline on this software (ie. when can we expect a finished version which works with other applications)?

File sync for Mac

I subscribed to CC in July - apparantly while sync was temporarily not working - I am STILL waiting. I have contacted support chat several times and they always direct me to this forum. Could a STAFF member or someone who knows anything about this help me PLEASE! Each time I turn on Sync files, it starts, then says: Creative Cloud Server Error. If I log into CC on another computer, my files are all "empty". This defeats the whole reason for me subscribing to CC, and is extremely frustrating. Please can someone help!! Rochelle (New Zealand)

File sync for Mac files NTFS

I have a NTFS 6TB raid5 array I use fr backups. For years I have been using freefilesync on Mac to sync my main data (also NTFS) drive. This worked fine but not I am using Mavericks it seems to also think all the files are changed every thine I do a sync. Any idea why this is, is there a different program I can change (not Timemachine as I just need a straight mirror.

Does media sync for mac not work?

Hello,
I have repeatedly downloaded media sync, and I cannot transfer pictures off of my girlfriend's 8530 curve? Anyone else experience this? If so, how did you get around it?
Since all the documentation is for the PC, I'm thinking RIM is trying to pull a fast one on Mac users.

CC desktop sync for Mac - where is it? Happy on Win, installed on new Mac - no sync folder?

I also have the calendar sync problem, same as yours
as for contacts I have no problem but I am new to BB so when I first sync I moved all my contacts from my palm using vcard
I didn't use pocketmac b4
hope someone from Blackberry will fix this Calendar and Contacts problem for DM Mac Soon......

SunONE Calendar Sync for Mac?

I am not a Mac user, but a fellow co-worker is looking for something similar to the SunONE Sync that the PC has for his Mac. Is there a similar program which would work for him to sync to our SunONE calendar?

I have to date not found anything for that, we have however gotten an interem solution working. The mail program OS X can publish the user's calendar in iCAL format to a WEBDAV server. From here you can use a script to do some pattern matching on the directory, and import the iCAL file into the sun calender using the command line tools. This is not ideal, but it keeps them up to date at least.
You might want to have a look at the developers guide, and some of the command available with WCAP in the calendar server, for subscribing to calendars from the OS X mail program.

E71x - Sync for Mac

Was wondering if anyone knows about a sync plug-in for the E71x for us Mac users. I spoke with customer service at Nokia and they don't have a clue.

I did all of what you said, here are my settings (followed your format, hope it helps understand what I've done)
"Phone: Main Menu, Tools, Settings, Sync, Make sure all boxes are checked for what you want synced."
I couldn't go this route to get to Sync, had to go Main Menu->Settings->Sync
"Phone: Main Menu, Tools, Settings, Bluetooth, Turn it on and name your device."
I went another route to do this, but I've named my device and is paired as a trusted device with my iMac running OS X 10.4.11. I can sync everything else but my contacts.
"Mac: Preferences, Bluetooth, Click plus sign to add a device, follow instructions, make sure it's on and discoverable"
As stated above, iMac "sees" the phone and can communicate with it. Heck, I even tethered the two and was able to access new sites so I know i got up to date info (i.e. Michael Jackson's passing, RIP) with airport turned off.
Here are my phone settings from the address book options
Address book info -> selected "All memories"
Synchronization ->settings: I have 3 options here, e71x, My Mac, and Ovi.com. I tried all three, no dice. Not gonna finish OVI.com's info since I don't have any contacts there and with out running BootCamp or some other MS emulator thing I can't get contacts to OVI anyhow.
   Here are the settings for each one: (items with a "*" are locked and can not be changed)

BB Media sync for mac not working properlty

I posted once before about something else and nobody responded. Maybe this time.
When using the bb desktop software yesterday I set the
Media/Music settings to "sync music" and "selected songlists" I only checked one songlist that contained 3 songs.
Well- BB desktop synced my entire iTunes collection (or at least attempted to but there was not enough space on bb). Now I am unable to get the songs off of my bb.
I tried re-syncing after de-selecting "sync music" but it didn't remove the songs.
Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Sync for Mac user with Microsoft Office for the Ma...

I need to sync the calendar from Entourage (microsoft office) on my MacBook Pro to my E71 phone. Is this possible? I do NOT use the iCal. My address book is also in Entourage. --Thanks!

Since Office is not an Apple product, you'll get better response if you use a forum dedicated to Microsoft's Mac products such as <http://groups.google.com/groups/dir?sel=33607053> rather than an Apple forum.

Sync BlackBerry & Mac

What is the best software/application to sync a BlackBerry Storm 9530 and a Mac? I make all calendar and contact changes on my BlackBerry and would like to keep my BB as the system of record. The new BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac only allows 2 way sync (which I cannot get to work correctly) and no option to override my Mac with BlackBerry.
I have tried all of the following and have had little or no success:
BB & Entourage 2008 Calendar/Contacts
BB & iCal
BB & Address Book
BB & Gmail
What email account syncs best with BB calendar and contacts (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc)?

Sync for Mac is what I used on my blackberry. I use entourage for mail, its like outlook but on macs and came in the microsoft student office i bought. Google it and you should be able to find it. Mine works fine but i am guessin you are using the newest BB because of the memory card. Not sure if the program I have will work for that one.
I would be more specific but the computer im on doesnt have the program on it.

With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

How to get books onto iPad when iBooks for Mac refuses to sync.

I have around 300 books which were originally in the books section of iTunes. Since upgrading to Mavericks the new iBooks for Mac is moved them all over and I ma now unable to access most of them on my iPad despite making sure all settings are correct. None of the books I use for study created by iBooks Author will now transfer. The only ones that seem to are those recently purchased from iTunes. Anybody out there found a solution yet. Apparently Apple admit that only books purchased from iTunes will sync, but I need to be able to get them on my iPad. I don't care if they sync or not.

There are a few categorical places one must visit in order to synchronize iBooks for Mac with IOS iBooks. There is no need to remove the iBook for Mac application.
System Preferences > iCloud > Documents and Data is enabled
IOS Settings > iBooks > Sync Collections (enabled) and optionally Sync Bookmarks (enabled)Assumption that iCloud is enabled on the IOS device with documents and data enabled
iBook for Mac > Preferences > General: Sync: Sync bookmarks, highlights, and collections across devices
iTunes
Pick your IOS Device under DEVICES in the left nav
Choose Books along the top toolbar
In the Books panel, choose one of the following
Books and PDF Files
Books only
PDF only
In the Sync Books panel
All Books
Selected BooksClick the box next to the books you wish to Sync
Select iTunes Sync
The books (and PDF) you selected above are now on your IOS device

Is there any way to sync Outlook for Mac with iPhone? I have tried everything but not successful. Apple says it is not possible to sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5. Any help will be much appreciated.

If one is running Outllok on a Mac machine then it is not possible to sync the contacts with iPhone. It is strange that Apple distributors are promoting and offering machines with promise that Windows users can now run MS Office on Mac machines without any problem. While this is true, it is so strange that one cannot sync the contacts from MacBook Pro to iPhone5.
