Sync hotmail window contacts to ipad air

How can I sync hotmail window pc contacts to ipad air. I get a message saying "Your contacts are being synced with your ipad over the air from icloud. I kept cmy pc and ipad on connected via usb cable. But contacts are not syncing ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Go to settings, scroll down and tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". Then, once you are there, click on "Add Account". Since you are using hotmail, tap other. You will then tap "Add Mail Account". Fill in the required fields and tap next. Make sure contacts is selected; if you want your hotmail e-mail address to sync to your inbox, then make sure e-mail is selected too. Once you tap add, all of your hotmail contacts in the contacts app should have their own home. If this doesn't work, then I might have a link to help you.

An extra group 'on my iphone' appeared after i sync with windows contact via itunes

I am having this problem which appears to be happened after i sync with my computer. In the contact group, there is an extra group 'on my iphone' appeared after i sync with windows contact via itunes, and even though now i stop syncing already, the group is still there. Can anyone here give me some suggestion on how to remove this group permantly, i not just wanted to remove the contacts but the entire group form appearing on my iphone. Thanks.

Is the app compatible with the iPhone (e.g. it's not and iPad-only app), and do you have the relevant iOS version on the phone ? Or do you have Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps set 'off' on the phone which will stop new apps being installed ?

I'm considering getting an E71 or E63, but apart from email I really want to be able to sync calendar (and contacts)over the air, not just from to/from Outlook on my PC - is this possible ? It's not really explained clearly in any of the specs and doco I've been reading.
Also, if I receive a calendar invitation as email, will it appear on the Nokia and can I accept it, and is it written to the calendar locally and at the POP server, or is this kind of behaviour only supported by Windows Mobile devices?

POP (post-office protocol) is only for email retrieval (and SMTP, simple message transfer protocol, for sending).
If you want to sync calendar/contacts, then it is done over SyncML (synchronization markup language).
Also "proprietary" synchronization protocols, like Microsoft's ActiveSync allows message/contacts/calendar/tasks synchronization.
Nokia supports ActiveSync over-the-air through the Mail for Exchange software.

Has your carrier been having issues with Call Display? Do the telephone numbers come up when people call, or does it just show 'Unknown Number' or 'Blocked' ?

Syncing exchange calendar with an ipad air Ios 7.0.4

I am having issues syncing exchange calendar on my ipad air 7.0.4. When i put an appointment in on the calender on my ipad it is not showing up in my outlook calender in my work pc. but it will appear in the calender on my ipad if i imput it in on my work pc

IBook sync with iphone 5 and iPad Air

Purchased some books and they are downloaded and available to read on my iPhone 5 via iBooks.
But on my iPad Air they are shown as downloaded but when I tap to open the book the book description and other info
comes up in a window but the book does not open. It is just not with this book but all four.
Also I don't understand about 'syncing". Can this be done without going into iTunes and using a USB?
If I need to sync these two devices how do I do this in layman terms? Both devices have the latest
software update version of 8.1.3

That sounds like you are looking at the Purchased tab in the iBooks app, that is part of the store and allows you to redownload books (if a book is only in the cloud then it will have the cloud icon against it instead of 'downloaded', tap on the cloud to download it) and/or look at their store description pages.
To read the books that show as 'downloaded' on that Purchased tab, tap the 'My Books' tab at the bottom left of the iBooks screen to go back to your bookshelf and you should see those books - tap on a book to open it. If you can't see your downloaded books on the bookshelf then tap the collection name at the top middle of the bookshelf and select 'All' or 'Books' collection instead.

Cannot select 'Selected groups' to sync address book contacts to ipad

After i upgraded to iOS5, I cannot select 'selected groups' to sync address books to ipad. I am syncing via icloud, but there is no option so sync selected groups contacts, nor via itunes for manual sync.
Can anyone help, please.

Exported addresses from Address Book to desktop and then deleted all addresses from Address Book.
Deleted file AddressBook-v22.ab** from Library>Application Support>AddressBook.
Exited Address Book and iTunes, restarted Address Book and imported addresses from desktop.
Restarted iTunes and all of the groups were visible in the "Synch Address Book Contacts" window.

Sync Mac's Contacts to iPad Issue

My wife's MacBook Air (running Mavericks) contact list is not synced to the Cloud...she needs it to remain separate from my list of contacts on the cloud.
I want to sync/transfer her MBA (non cloud) contacts to her iPad 2 (which will remain non-cloud as well), but it seems that the "Info" tab that used to show up in iTunes, which used to allow direct syncing of mac-to-iPad contacts (and other information) is no longer available....
Any ideas on how to sync contacts without resorting to the cloud, now?

Apparently manually syncing Contacts is no longer possible under Mavericks... From the Apple Support Site:
You can use iTunes to sync the contacts, calendars, notes, Safari bookmarks, and email account information on your computer with your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. iTunes also syncs this information from your device to your computer—for example, if you add contacts on your iPad, syncing adds those contacts to Contacts on your computer (or Address Book, in some versions of OS X).
When you sync, iTunes determines whether your device or your computer contains the most recent information, and lets you choose the information you want to sync.
Note: These instructions apply only if you use OS X v.10.8.5 or earlier. If you use OS X Mavericks v.10.9 or later, your contacts, calendars, and other info are updated on your computers and iOS devices via iCloud. For more information, see iCloud Help at icloud.com.
Humm...not good if you need to maintain a separate, non-iCloud contact list...

How do I sync a spreadsheet file from iPad Air to iMac?

I need to sync individual files (mostly spreadsheets and word documnets - xlsx and docx) between an iPad Air and an iMac. How do I do this?
The only way I have found is to email it back and forth - dangerous as you can have issues with versions. If I was still using my old PC and laptop I would drag the document back and forth between shared folders. The iPad doesn't use folders.........

Apple's Numbers and Pages apps do that automatically, by design, through iCloud. They can also read and write their equivalent Microsoft formats.
Otherwise, you have to use the method you describe, Dropbox, or equivalent file sharing programs.
