Sync ical 5.0.3 with calendar 6.0

Macbook Pro hard drive crashed again - am on 3rd hard drive in less than 36 months. In configuring new hard drive, find that iCal 5.0.3 will not operate on the new updated software (no, I did not request updated software - it is what was provided with new hard drive). So, Calendar 6.0 appears to be the new calendar. I need to transfer calendar info. But how?

Reminders App won't print and won't sort, etc with Calendar like it iused to. The old ICal is a better App.

    But I cannot do it with the iMac, and I don't undersatnd why?
    the domain is is used for my iPhone is the following :

    Does it have to be an applet?
    If you want the same behaviour as in the code with traffic lights, change
    class MortgageApplet extends JApplet implements ActionListener {
    to
    class MortgageApplet extends JFrame implements ActionListener {
    and change
    public void init() {
    to
    public MortgageApplet() {

    How do I sync iCal on my mac with OS 8 devices

    Hi jgiolma,
    Since you do not mention what version of the Mac operating system you are running on your MacBook Pro it is a little hard to answer your question. For computers running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 or later one way to sync your calendars would be to use iCloud. See this article for minimum system requirements for iCloud -

    Information on using iCloud for your calendars can be found here -

  • Sync iCal to Bberry curve with PocketMac

    Imported calendar from Palm to iCal smoothly. Synchronized iCal to Bberry Curve with PocketMac 4.1. Every addition made in the desktop gets added to the Bberry but any deletions do not get synchronized. Ditto for the Bberry. Any deletions made do not get synchronized on the desktop. All entries and changes appear to be permanent, making the software unusable. Anybody? Using 10.5.5

    I apologize for the several post. I'll go ahead and assume I accidentally submitted my response because I know my iPhone 4 is infallible. Anyways, and in a nutshell: Apple likes competition and has made it a company of quality. That being said, Apple has thought ahead of the more simple todo sync via wired connection. The wired connection for a todo is not a good idea. Do you realize how inconvenient it would be to have to sync your iTunes everyday or every moment the list is updated? Thus, Apple worked with Google (this may be inaccurate) to have an IMAP server sync in your mail program. You should see in your IMAP folders, using gmail, "Apple Mail To Do". It will sync your todos with gmail immediately. The setup is annoying though, and some people just want a list with colors and all of that. This is where the app store comes in. I have a to do app that is by far the most sophisticated yet simple program that sync via WebDAV (I think?) or either bonjour. It's called iPronto You have to be on the same network to sync wirelessly to your comp, assuming you have an OSX (a Mac). I hope I was clear. (This was sent from my iPhone, ha)

  • IPod as a conduit to sync iCal and Outlook 2003 with each other?

    I am able to synchronize my work Outlook 2003 calendar and home Mac iCal with the iPod in two separate files on the iPod. I can see them both if I select "All". My questions are:
    1. What should I do to sync the PC and the Mac with the same file on the iPod?
    2. Is it possible to snychronize the iCal and Outlook with each other via the iPod?
    Thanks,
    Iris

    If you mount your iPod on your Mac, navgate to the iPod Calendars folder and double-click on an ics file it will import the calendar into iCal. So you can sync from the PC to the iPod to iCal uni-directionally. If Outlook 2003 can import an ics file then you should be able to sync the other way as well. However, in both cases you will essentially be copying over one calendar with another, not really synchronizing.

  • Syncing iCal v 4.04 with iCloud caldav - does anyone have a workaround?

    I used to be able to sync my iCal calendar with the iCloud version using a workaround. It no longer seems to work and I get an error mx saying cannot locate 'check url'

    MobileMe does not exist anymore, and you need to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later to use iCloud.

  • How do I sync iCal 10.5.8 with iCloud or Mavericks without upgrading?

    I have a Macbook with OS X 10.5.8 and a new Macbook Air with Mavericks. I want to sync my iCal on both machines without upgrading from Leopard. Are there any free solutions via Dropbox, google calender or other servers? Please advise. Thank you!

    You can define on or more calenders public on mavericks or the web and enter the url in leopard to get a read access. The shared calender  is duplicated and accessable by everyone who knows the url, but will not be shown at the google search results.
    The Google calender works like iCloud  for the private link to the calender. You get a read access without entering the login data. For write access (to other users) the calender must be public and will visible at the google search results.
    Maybe you will find some solutions for a two-way-sync at the web. Dropbox is no option, because it is only a web space without the functions from a caldav server.

  • Syncing iCal To-do list with iPod touch

    I can't figure out why my to-do list in ical won't sync with my ipod touch. I am new to the world of imac's and apple, but what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

    Maybe M3dik knows something I do not here, but as far as I can tell one cannot sync Tasks/To Dos with Apple software. Yes, it is surprising that they would leave this out.
    I use the free version of To Do (To Do Lite) from the App store, which suits my needs for now. It will only handle 10 items in the free version, but when you delete one, you get another added when you sync.
    I mention it in Apps on my iPod touch. See the bottom comment from me.

  • SYNC PROBLEMS WITH CALENDARS

    My new iPhone is great, except I can't get my calendars from Ical to sync up with my phone. every time I go to sync I get this message.
    "Itunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone "JAD" because the iPhone disconnected"
    I have looked online and can't find anywhere to get an answer. Can anyone help with this issue?
    thank you

    Me Too! I was on the telephone with a tech support guy for 2 hours and still couldn't get the sync. Then I went to the store and they were able to sync iCal (made up 6 new calendars with events) and could sync to my iPhone. I wnet home thinking that I was really dumb and looked it at the store only to find out that I still get the message at home that I disconnected during syncing iCal and still can't sync. What is going on and what do we do?

  • Does anyone know how to sync iCal with events from your iPod Touch?

    So I use my iPod for events more than I do with my MacBook. However I'm trying to sync iCal on my computer with the events on my iPod yet I haven't found a method that actaully works.
    Does anyone happen to know of an effective method where you can move events from your iPod to your MacBook?

    Update your Mac OSX to 10.9.3, syncing locally is back.

  • Have thunderbolt and need to sync ical with google calendar in order to use.  Any suggestions?

    Have a thunderbolt and MacBook.  Need to sync ical with google calendar as thunderbolt supports google calendar.  Any suggestions?

    I think we may be talking about two different things. Thunderbolt is the new two way display port on Mac Book Pros and Apple displays.
    Thunderbolt (originally codenamed Light Peak) is an interface for connecting peripheral devices to a computer via an expansion bus. Thunderbolt was developed by Intel and brought to market with technical collaboration from Apple Inc. It was introduced commercially on Apple's updated MacBook Pro lineup on February 24, 2011.
    Thunderbolt combines PCI Express and DisplayPort into a serial data interface. A single Thunderbolt port supports hubs as well as a daisy chain of up to seven Thunderbolt devices; up to two of these devices may be high-resolution displays using DisplayPort. You can move data to and from peripherals up to 20 times faster than with USB 2.0 and up to 12 times faster than with FireWire 800.

  • How do i sync ical with google calendar, in that direction

    i have google cal and ical syncset up but it was set up by google telling what to enter into ical. this made my other calendars, all the google calendars i have other than the main one, into "delegates" on ical.
    whats the reason or process for this? cant they just been normal calendars on ical?
    the reason i ask is that i have a menu pull down app which seems to only read "normal" calendars and not delegated calendars...
    can i sync ical to google cal but enter details into ical to sync with google rather than the other way round?

    So if I make calendar entry in my iphone it syncs to my mac ical but not icloud.
    If everything is set to use iCloud then it's impossible for data to get from the iPhone to the mac but not iCloud, since all the data actually resides on iCloud and is read from there by devices. It rather sounds as if you have some syncing going on iTunes. If you look at the calendar listing on your Mac and Phone they must be listed under iCloud, not 'On My Mac/iPhone' - is that the case?

  • Synced ical with mobileme, now can't edit calendar

    Hi, I synced ical through mobileme thinking mobileme would serve as a "backup" for my ical. I use ical on my macbook and don't check the mobileme calendar.
    but now i can't write on my ical when it is open on my macbook.
    how can i change the settings so that i can use ical on my macbook and have it backed up on mobileme?
    if this is impossible please tell me how to restore the original settings and get my ical off mobileme.

    Hello Doxiechick and welcome to the Palm forums.
     Are you sure you are syncing with Microsoft Outlook and not a Microsoft Exhcange server or some other corporate email system?  If you are syncing a Palm OS device, like the Centro, to Microsoft Outlook, the default database files don't get deleted.  My guess is that there is something else going on here, especially if you have contacts on your Centro.
