Sync ical server delegates to iphone

I've seen many postings about syncing google delegate calendars in Ical to an Iphone, but my situation is with Snow Leopard Server Ical server. We have delegate calendars setup on our server and they display properly on the desktop clients in ICal, but I can't sync the delegates to my IPhone. I tried subscribing to the delegates by using the CalDav URL shown in the "get Info" pane, but always get an "incorrect URL" error. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for that advice. Curious though - is what I'm asking even possible? It seems like it should be. Can iTunes bring over the CalDav info the same way it did with my email accounts when I first got my phone. It's just strange that iTunes sees the CalDav calendars, but nothing comes over.
I have to set up several iOS devices so not having to do this manually would be ideal, but if I have to...

ICal, iCal Server, Delegates & iPhones

Hi there
Having issues with my works iCal server.
Running 10.6 Server w/ iCal server on.
One user is the scheduler, which does the work schedule.
One user is the reader, which everyone logs onto to view the schedule.
In iCal we use delegates to view them and it works great.
Problem is we can not see the delegates on our iPhones. I wish to know how to do this.

Needed help in syncing iCal on Mac and iPhone 2g

When I sync iCal on my Mac (Mountain Lion) with iCal on iPhone 2g, some events get "Alert 15 hours before" on iPhone, even though I didn't set this alert. Any ideas?

Check you are logged into the same account on all devices, check that contact syncing is enabled on the mac (system preferences > iCloud). If these details are correct try turning contact syncing off, restarting the mac and turning syncing back on.

Still not resolved: cannot sync iCal with either my iPhone or Nokia E71

I have tried everything that has been suggested in these posts, but neither the iPhone NOR the Nokia E71 want to sync with my iCal calendars (I have 4 set up in one iCal application). Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? It used to work fine, but not is suggesting that the iCal calendar is not "writable".

I have just discovered something else on this issue (which still persists)..when I set up an appointment in the Nokia, it does find calendars to sync with but in Entourage instead of in my iCal? Does this help solve the problem that I have been having syncing iCal with Nokia/iPhone?? Anyone???

It is hard to believe that there is no synchronisation of iCal ToDoList with the iPhone at the moment.
However there are at least two programmes that can do the job. I tested them both in a presales version.
MissingSync (€40, http://www.markspace.com/iphone/mac/) works via WiFi, I knew the program from my PalmTX synchronisations, which were performed via USB. But the iPhone version did not work. Always when I tried to sync I was thrown out of my WiFi by the iPhone. Simply the WiFi symbol of my iPhone was exchanged against the 3G Symbol. It is not very likely that it was due to my WiFi, because other WiFi applications as FileMagnet did work. However out of 50 tries I managed only two synchronisations. That was pity, because I liked MissingSync a lot from the time of my Palm synchronisations.
Things (€48, http://culturedcode.com/) however worked well. But you need both the Mac and the iPhone version. But the synchronisation works only if the Mac and the iPhone are within the same WiFi network at the same time. I would have preferred the cable instead.

Problems syncing iCal with iOS 5/iPhone 4

I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 when it first came out. Since upgrading, my phone has not been syncing properly with iCal on my laptop. I originally set up my phone to sync to iCloud, but had problems with duplicate calendar entries so I disabled iCloud syncing for my calendar. Now it seems that the entries I put directly on my laptop sync to my phone, but the entries I add directly onto my phone do not sync to my laptop. I double checked the default calendar on my phone to make sure the right calendars are syncing, and the default calendar is Home, which is displaying my laptop as well. I'm not sure if there are other settings that would affect my calendar so that the sync is only one way.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Just got off the phone with tech support. This is what the guy suggested:
On my phone, DELETE iCloud account (Settings, iCloud). In the past, I simply turned everything off except for Location Services. Apparently turning it off isn't enough, you have to DELETE your account. If you want it back, sign in using your Apple ID. I'm hesistant to do that because of the problems but maybe down the road, I'll try it out again for Location Services only.
Once I deleted the iCloud account, I could sync from my computer (MacBook Pro, version 10.6.8) to my iPhone 4s and vice versa without any problems.
It does appear that the duplications are still there but that's minor compared to the other.
Unrelated but, I was having problems syncing my photos onto my phone, as well. I keep my photos in folder on my desktop and categorize them within that folder (2009, 2010, etc). One of the folders inside the primary folder wouldn't sync to my phone. I was able to solve it previously by changing the name of the folder but that stopped working. Tech support suggested creating a new folder and transferring everything into it and choosing the new folder to sync with. Busy work to be sure but it was successful.

Syncing ical on mac and iphone

I have a mac book pro and iPhone 3gs and iCloud. My calendars are not syncing. When I enter in ical using my iPhone i can see them in iCloud but not the mac. when i enter in ical using the mac, i do not see the event anywhere else. any suggestions?

Syncing iCal on two different iPhones over iTunes, 3G, WiFi?

We have two iPhones at the office. We have a desktop mac each. Is it possible (and how?) to add info in iCal of iPhone #1 and then add the info to iPhone #2 ?
And then - can this be done over 3G and/or WiFi?

The best option would be to create separate user account on the computer that you separately use to sync with. This keeps contact and calendar data from being merged together. You can however still sync or share media with each user by following the steps in the second article below.

Do you share your computer with someone who has different tastes in music and media? You can create separate user accounts for each person who uses the computer. You can maintain separate, personalized iTunes libraries and customize each devices' sync settings accordingly.

Syncing ical on macbook and iphone the times change by two hours

I set up all of the events on my macbook ical and when i sync with my iphone it changes the time by two hours on my calendar for the iphone. i have checked and both devices are accurate on the day and time. Is there something I am missing. It is a hassle having to change all of the events in my iphone each time i sync...........all help would be appreciated.

Am having exact same problem. Have checked, double-checked and re-checked all time & date settings, time zones, etc. to no avail. iCal on Mac now seems to be responding properly, but many of my events on iPhone will display correctly when opened but +2 hours on list at bottom of month view. There is no way I can figure out to edit time zone on iPhone cal event like there is on the Mac.

The sync process takes about 5 minutes and nothing gets synced. I tried checking the button to replace the iphone data with the laptop data but still nothing happens. Any ideas?

When they sync encounters the bad record it doesn't know what to do with it so it stops. To fix it you must find the bad record, open it, make a small change, and save it. An easy way to find the bad record is to create a new group and set the iPhone to sync to this group. Put a few records into the group at a time, then sync. At some point the sync will fail or hang. You have then narrowed the problem to a few records.

Strange to reply to my own post but having spent more time reading other sufferers comments I seem to have sorted this out
It is associated with what you have ticked as the calendar when you make the event entry
I changed the ticked calendar from My Mac list to iCloud list and that seems to have done the job, although still having to refresh iCal on MBP to be sure it syncs

When I make changes in iCal on the Mac, when are they supposed to appear on the iPhone? And vice versa. Same question regarding Contacts.
In Mail there is a "circular icon" which forces an update. Is there an equivalent one for iCal and for Contacts?

Having paid with Apple Pay, vs. any other method of payment, there should be no difference at all with regard to getting your money back. The "weird" Credit Card Number probably is the Unique Device ID from your iPhone, not actually a Credit Card Number. That will have been linked to your actual Credit Card within the original Transaction so the refund will easily go back to your Account.

ICal Server - Delegates being deleted, have to always re-add

Hi all,
I have a new mini snow leopard server working well, except shared calendars are causing me issues. For one I can't get the group calendars working or added, so I decided to make shared calendars under one user account then give access to the staff. This solution works fine, however after an hour or so all the user access list completely deletes itself and I have to add them again. Very frustrating for something that should be so simple. I'm not even quitting iCal when this happens.

I am struggling with this: how is it supposed to work in the first place?
I fear I have done the necessary, but it did not work - and that leaves me wondering what I did.
Group calendars not working or added would explain why I can't find them.
