Sync info doesn't stick on desktop and, a link shared on Android FF, where to find on desktop?

If you don't mind, I have two questions. The first is in regards to Firefox Sync on Windows 7 x64. Firefox 19.0.2 Windows will not save my Firefox Sync login. Every time I start my browser I have to put in the username/password/recover key.
Here is the context and what I think might be the cause of my problem. I was using a sync account to sync between Win desktop, Win laptop and a Win work laptop. Sync has been working for years without any issues prior to this, for me. Finally ditched Symbian for Android and I setup Firefox Sync on my Droid phone. Unfortunately, it totally trashed my bookmarks. So I unlinked all my browsers (and Android Firefox), restored my bookmarks from a backup and created a new Sync account to start fresh (to make sure no corrupted data was being synced). Since I did that, Firefox desktop will not save my Sync login info with the new account or the old one. I could rebuild my profile from scratch but I've been using this profile for a few years and rebuilding it will be really time consuming. If I have no choice, I will take the time from my vacation over the Easter break to do it, but man that would really suck as I was planning to leave laptops at home. So I would appreciate any ideas on how I can fix this without having to start from scratch?
My 2nd question is in regards to Firefox Sync on Android. Before I unlinked all my devices from my old Sync account I was playing with the share feature for Firefox Sync and couldn't get it to work. So my question is, If I share a link to "Firefox Sync" on my Droid phone, how do I access that link on a desktop? I couldn't find it anywhere.

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

You can also try to delete or rename the weave folder in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). I want to use the default Apple desktop pictures but also add my own. Where are the system desktop pictures located?

I like the default images Apple provides for the desktop but would like to add my own. I have desktop pictures set to change randomly every minute. Is there a way for me to add my own images to the categories (like 'Plants' or 'Nature') that are already in the Desktop and Screen Saver preference panel?

HT4436 I have never updated my iPad because it has videos on it that are very important to me. It is running at IOS4 and is starting to crash more often. The laptop it is synced to doesn't even run anymore, and it won't email the videos as they are too

Windows 7 desktop and AEBS-OK, old Windows XPpro laptop Can't find it?

New Dell Desktop running Windows 7 ( what a mistake I made....) finally configured to work wirelessly with the Airport Extreme. Even printer hooked up to USB port works ( finally) 2 iPhones see the network and conncet immediately but old IBM laptop running Windows XPPro doesn't even see it when right on top of it ? help?!

Is your AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) the older 802.11b/g (domed-shaped) or newer 802.11n (square-ish) model? Regardless of model, which wireless encryption standard: WEP, WPA, or WPA2 are you using? Finally, which Service Pack level is your XP Pro running: SP1, SP2, or SP3?

How can I sync bookmarks between my opera mobile browser and my new Firefox for android browser ?

I just installed Firefox on my Android, and wondered if there was sone way that I could sync my existing Opera mobile bookmarks to it so I don't have to go thru and add them manually ?

I suspect you need to sync Opera Mobile to a desktop PC, then export/import to get into Firefox. The reason I suspect this is the enhanced security and limited features on mobile browsers .

When you are done using the "old" profile you can switch back to your current profile by going back through the Profile Manager.
You might be tempted to use the Delete Profile button to clear the temporary profile. But... it's a bit too easy to accidentally delete your "real" profile, so I recommend resisting the temptation.

It says that I only havce 10 songs unless I'm looking in my library somewhere else. But even on my iPod all of my music is gone! Help someone!!! Can I find what music I used to have?

If the music that was removed from your iPod (which happened as a result of syncing it with a new computer... an iPod is designed to sync with only one library at a time. Connecting it to a new/different iTunes library will erase what is currently on the iPod and replace it with what is in the new library) is no longer in a backup anywhere or another PC, then there is no way to tell what used to be on your iPod.
You'll need to either rerip the tracks you had from CDs back into iTunes or redownload them from iTunes via iCloud if possible.

Welcome to Apple Support Communites and to the Mac, after a little time you will be flying!
Make sure if you have not done so yet to run software update to make sure you MBP is up to date, you can do this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left on your menu bar, and clicking on Software update.
One other thing that will help you when posting here is to make syre your profile is up to date/correct. You have in your profile as of now your MBP model and year which is freat, but you have for your operating system, iOS(mobile devces) 7.02, which would be for and iPhone, iPad, iPod. Your MacBook Pro operates on OSX (which in your case should be 10.8.5, you can find this info under the Apple logo, About this Mac) having this info available to anyone reading a question post is very helpful for them offer advice/sugesstions that may apply to your particular OSX, as well as eliminating confusion.

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

Problems w/ver 27 and xp sp3; should I give up on xp and go to Win 7 PRO 64bit where I find no problems?

Cannot change/edit location of downloads; the only download available is DOWNLOADS
This ver of MF takes about 15 seconds to load NASCAR website
After I select any website to load a small, rotating circle appears in the upper-left of the screen and remains until, finally, the page has completely loaded.
I do not have this problem w/win 7 pro 64 bit
Installing MF 4 solves this problem on the Win XP SP3 OS.
I do not find this problem on older laptops running the same XP OS.

Have you done any routine maintenance on that computer recently?
What happens if you use a different browser on that computer?
Are you running the most up-to-date version of Firefox on that computer?
What do you mean by MF4?

I work on a digital signal processing system that never shuts down. I am trying to develop the capability to dynamically change a processing algorithm. Where can I find more information on how to swap out a function or object method, relink and keep the system going with the new code?

How to delete Ubuntu virtual desktop and free up allocated space in windows 8?

I have tried out Hyper-V for the first time to install Ubuntu desktop. During the installation process, 10GB of space is allocated. I believe this space would have been created as a separate partition and formatted
to linux file system. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Now I would like to remove the Ubuntu virtual desktop and free up the allocated space. I have deleted the desktop from the Hyper-V manager. Is this sufficient to free up the space?

I am not sure of the unnamed, unused volume. Hence I listed all.
However Diskpart tool in command prompt does not show the last one [ 8gb]. Does this mean if this was allocated
to Virtual desktop? Please help

You must delete the VHDx that you created when you created the VM.
This is the virtual disk that Ubuntu was installed into - you will not see this as a volume, you will see this as a VHDx file.

Install CS6 Master edition on desktop and laptop

Can my company's IT dept install CS6 Master edition on my office desktop, and the office laptop I use when not using the office desktop?
I currently have CS5 Standard installed on my office laptop, and requested an upgrade to CS6 Master Collection for use on a spare desktop at the office - since it has more RAM. I would still like to use the CS6 on the laptop - when not using the desktop.
Most of my day involves using MS Office, Revit, Bentley Architecture and Sketchup. I use Adobe software a few times a week, and moreso when there are deadlines.
The two computers will not use Adobe simultaneously.

The Adobe product license agreement allows the primary user to install the product on a primary computer and also on a home or laptop computer for his or her use, provided that the two copies are not used simultaneously. So if a license is assigned to you, then you can install the product on your Office computer as well as your Laptop.
